Got the Rising Badge from Clair! had to travel into the Dragon’s Den to find her because she wouldn’t give the badge when I beat her, stubborn brat. I still love her design though. We also have a new partner now: Vinny the Dratini! It’s level 15 though so we’re going to need to be doing a LOT of training to get it to Dragonite status.

idk if it’s controversial, but personally in retrospect I’m kinda glad they got rid of HMs and replaced them with ride pokemon. having to change a good setup moveset to give the pokemon overworld movement that clashes with its moveset is very painful for me lol

atp I’m just waiting for Gold and Lilure to respond with their characters and then I’ll post again. it’s kinda boring but hey, my pokemon phase resurfaced with this rp so I’m having fun lol.
also, after I made my post of Louisa interjecting to keep the situation from getting worse, I just though about the action they did (putting a hand to their pokeball) and I realized that Ryker and Keegan might interpret the action different than what she meant. they might think it a threat, while she was just trying to keep her pokemon from crashing out

If the leveling curve wasn’t so bad in Johto, maybe I could’ve stuck to canon and beat the elite four on my first attempt. oh well, I’m just gonna use them as money and farm exp from them until my team is good enough to beat them. until then, I’m sticking a big middle finger at Lance

On the first go around, very. But after a few tries I finally got the hang of it. I wanna put a middle finger straight into Lance’s butt for his three Dragonites that shouldn’t have even evolved yet (two of them are level 49 while the third is 50, Dragonair evolves into Dragonite at level 55), but honorable mentions go to Koga and his two besties Muk and Crobat, who try to spam their evasive moves (Minimize and Double Team, respectively) in order to stall you out. Then there’s Bruno’s Machamp. Why is his attacks so hard-hitting. It feels like he shouldn’t be hitting that hard. Other than those ones, Will and Karen weren’t that bad because I had good counters for their pokemon (Snapmaw had Crunch and Junction could deal with 3/5th of Will’s team with a super effective Discharge; Missus took care of Karen’s Umbreon but I had to cycle a little for the rest of her team due to how squishy Heracross was. Nimpy took care of Vileplume and Gengar while Snapmaw could deal with Murkrow and Houndoom)

Time for super random question of the day! What are your ocs' favorite pokeball designs? Though Estella adores luxury balls, she thinks love balls are super cute.

Iono prefers the Heal Balls because she hates risking her Pokemon due to her risked stunts
Cyno obv. enjoys Safari balls no question needed
Albedo doesn't pick favorites and doesn't care for balls itself, but he'd choose a basic one-Premier, or even Luxury too out of randomness.
Choei is a mystery for now...

on an unrelated note, I’ve picked Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs back up again due to finishing Heartgold. it’s a cute little game to whittle down my boredom, but it sucks that I don’t have others locally who have the game (that I know of) to do multiplayer missions with
Gold.

Ryker uses Luxury Balls almost exclusively due to them being expensive and the perception that especially strong trainers carry their Pokémon in them. Growing up like he did, Ryker tends to wield the manufactured wealth and fame he has almost like a weapon of sorts, so Luxury Balls are an extension of that.
Aesthetically, Keegan likes the look of the Heavy Ball, but he exclusively uses Quick Balls because he's lazy.
Bonus round: my favorite Pokéball is the Friend Ball!

What is your oc's least favorite Pokémon type?
For Keegan, undoubtedly Ghost, with Bug and Dark being close seconds because he's a scaredy cat.
For Ryker, I think Normal or Fairy. Anything excessively fluffy or cutesy because he's uncultured and thinks tough Pokémon have to look tough.
