Acquired the Plain Badge! did some mathing and apparently Headbutt trees have a big math computation and the early Heracross can’t be grabbed. I can still grab one when I aquire Surf, though, so we’re still chilling.

Shoot, I don’t think I took a picture of the team comp I faced Morty with, but regardless I got the Fog Badge! Along the way to Olivine City, Junction and Nippy evolved, and I unfortunately boxed Muscle and did the sidequest to grab the Rest TM (which removes Kenya the Spearow from the party). Luna the Eevee also joined our party before facing Morty.

At least I got this cute picture when I reached Olivine City.

Got the Storm Badge! Chuck was a nasty fight since Luna hasn’t evolved yet into Espeon and the only flying type I have is Nippy, but we persevered. Nippy also evolved into Crobat as I was climbing the Olivine Lighthouse, so that was a quick Golbat transition lol

in other news, I got the Mineral Badge from Jasmine. the leveling curve still sucks, and I’m just waiting on Luna to evolve atp.


It kinda sucks that because I’m in the B grouping for headbutt trees, I have to wait until I can use Waterfall on the field (8th gym, ffs) to be able to get a Heracross. luck is a fickle mistress

OOH OUCH...may luna evolve soon !! I forgot how bizarre the level curve is in Johto...like in other games, your starter would've been fully evolved by the 5th gym.

That’s what he’s all about!! It is always fun laying the bricks to build plots further down the line. I figure if she takes his offer it could be a lil concert. Just something to provide the atmosphere for a dramatic happening and maybe lure some bad guys out.

Snagged the Glacier Badge! Equipping Luna with Iron Tail make this gym a joke, but Pryce’s Seel and Dewgong knowing Rest and Snore/Sleep Talk made it feel like he was stalling.

Speaking of Luna, right after I made my previous update post about my playthrough she evolved into Espeon! Snapmaw turned into Feraligator and Junction turned into Ampharos! I still don’t have any hard counters for electric types and that’s a little worrisome, but I’m sure either Heracross or Dragonite can learn a ground move or two.
