and tbh i would love a romance subplot, but at this point i'm just throwing in romantic feelings to torture Angelica with them and/or to derive humor from her general obliviousness and confusion as to How Feelings Do.

Apollo and Nine are good friends, but that's it. Nine is probably aware a few of the woman like the company of other ladies romantically, she's just not one of them. If Apollo was going to woo someone on the ship I'm not certain it would necessarily be Nine either, because looking at the chart she seems quite fond of a lot of the female variety! And Nine does have a few crushes, she's just smart enough not to show it or act on it for the time being. She doesn't want to jeopardize the synergy of the crew, friendships, or face rejection [that last part is what is the real clincher].

I have a mental ladder of who she likes the best of both genders from favorite to least favorite, but will get adjusted over the course of the RP. Angelica is growing on her already. =D They can prowl the halls with Joey sighing heavily every time they pass a pirate NPC.

I just want that moment where she's picking on him like "lololol u nancy boy" and some random person joins in like "yeah look at his girly gloves" or something and Angelica is just like ex-fucking-scuse you the fuck did you just say step off and leave him the hell alone before i sic joey on you because it is only acceptable when SHE does it thank you very much

oh also Life. I was thinking that Joey's eye implant would be more of something that Brie is working on or has in reserve, but that Joey doesn't actually have yet- he has yet to be really ready for full-on surgery

like the teeth were basically screwed in to his jaw, so replacing those was pretty much an external procedure. He's a heavy dog, so putting him under would be much more difficult than for Berry, and given the level of medical tech in the world I dunno that they'd be able to knock him out completely enough that either Brie or Angelica would be OK with performing a non-lifesaving invasive procedure on him.

...yeah. there is a bit of medical horror in Joey's backstory.
