Fantasy Dragon's Roar 3: Rise of The Dark Arts ( Finished )

Raven shakes her head swiftly. "No, I haven't." She follows the woman dragging Jackie by her hair. She wondered about her identity.
She smiles, but it is cold, frightening look, the malevolent glint in her eye disturbing to say the least. "Then you're in for a treat, aren't you? Lucky girl," She sighs wistfully, her eyes nostalgic, "I was born in the era that most of these rather creative methods were devised and created, you see. They - the men in power, I mean - would use them in on prisoners to extract information, force a confession, or, depending on the sadism of the person inflicting it, for sheer amusement. Sometimes, even in the noon-day sun of the main square. All good fun, really," As they walk through the halls of the base, she snaps, and two guards abandon their posts to follow her, along with two other members. When they reach a thick, oak door, the woman pulls out a ring of keys and unlocks it with a rusty, seemingly ancient key. When she opens the door, Raven sees it's a square, stone room seemingly right out of the Middle Ages, freezing on the inside from the uninhibited chill of the Arctic seeping through the walls. Though it's old, it has been kept clean, every stone I'm uncultured and span, without a spec of dust anywhere, with the only exception to the cleanliness being the mangled corpse sprawled in the corner of the room. The woman looks sharply to one of the guards, who practically cowers beneath her glare, then both guards hurriedly clean up the body. They mutter apologies under their breath, one sliding in a plea for his life into his, as they drag it out of the room, a blood stain trailing after the body.

She gestures for the other members to come forward, and when they do, she hands Jackie to them, "Secure her to the wall. Allow her no room to move her hands, and keep her back pressed against the wall. I will not have her be able to attack," They nod quickly, then swiftly start to shackle Jackie's ankles, wrists, and biceps to the wall, tightening the chain attached to her wrists and the ones to her biceps all the way to the wall. Satisfied with their work, the woman heads to a table in the corner of the room, bringing over a tray to Raven and holding it out for her to see the contents. It's a sterile, stainless steel tray, which stands out starkly against the polished medieval instruments held on it. Half seem to be modified construction tools, with the others looking like things needed to complete a surgery.

Smiling that same sinister smile from before, she looks to Raven expectantly, "Before we can begin, we must first choose the tools. Since it's your first time, I'll let you pick them, and then I'll tell you what to do with them."

Raven moves to pick up a tool quickly. She didn't want to upset the woman, so she picked up the large saw to the left.

"A bit of an uninspired choice, but regardless..." She picks it up, holding it so Raven can see it, "This, obviously, is a saw. Someone would usually use this for a long, drawn out execution - which, unfortunately, I cannot do right now, because I would so love to show you. However, you may use it in any number of way. It's strong enough to be able to saw through flesh and bone, but, as you can see, it doesn't look very sharp, nor does it took very clean. So, if the pain does not affect them, infection most certainly will. Now," She gestures to the still-unconscious Jackie, "Should we wake her up, or should we... Well, surprise her?"

"Um.... Wake her up?" Raven wasn't sure if she wanted to see this.

( PLOT LINE POST @Kai&\#039;zen Makaira )

With what just happened, Julie starts to roar in rageful sorrow. The Dark Arts has taken everything from her and she couldn't stand by and let them get away with it. She grabs every member around her and sets them on her back, including Bruce who's just arrived with Sierra on her bike. Julie takes flight towards Canada. She needed to entrust her sister to someone she knew before they went to the Arctic Circle. She didn't know about the others but Julie wasn't going to give up and take a break.

On the inside of the cocoon Isabel starts to stir and groan. Her eyes flutter open for a moment but close again.

Hekate notices all the pieces of Alpha's sword on Julie's back as they make their way to Canada. She decides to collect them all in a bag.

Sierra notices a single broken piece of a sword and gets off of her bike. "Hm... I could mold this into a couple bullets." She picks it up and stuffs it in her magic bag. Sierra mounts her bike again and takes off, nemesis mist kicking up from the wheels until it completely envelops the bike. Once the nemesis mist fades away she's no longer there.

Bruce sets the cocoon on the ground, turning as his sisters land on Julie and inspect the cocoon. Bruce explains to them what all has happened in detail so far, even the recent event of Jackie being taken away. He explained the plan as well to them, each deciding they should come from the air while Bruce is on the ground. Really, the land and air group wouldn't have too much of a difference between the two but having people in the air could give them an advantage. Those in the air could also serve as a defense against any reinforcements while everybody else was inside taking care of those left in the base.

Fahy walked up to Hekate hesitantly as he was worried about the whole situation but he looked up and spoke to Hekate in an uncharacteristically quiet voice "uhh Hekate can I ask you a question about this dog I... made is I guess the right word for it." Dru however seemed to be reading but he cleared his throat as Fahy was speaking causing Fahy to roll his eyes. @Light

( How do they know it's underground? )

"It seems like my princess is about to awaken. Her memories are coming back as well." Julius starts to lightly laugh to himself inside her mind as Isabel herself keeps going in and out of consciousness. Her memories were flowing back to her in a rush but it seemed like she had so many deep memories they were taking forever to finish. Isabel's body was currently in Witch's form.

"Yes you may. What question do you have for me?" Hekate finishes putting the sword fragments away and turns to him completely.

( The Arctic Circle base wasnt even in the books it was on the map. The map is just a regular map that just shows where bases are. It doesn't say exactly where they'll be. )

"Well first off my brother wants to know about the sword shards you just swept into the bag. I would like to know about any knowledge you have on how to increase the strength or number of undead I can summon. Also I was confused about the zombie dog I summoned because it was supposed to be a typical zombie but this one is... well much more sentient I guess the word is."

"Apparently it's Alpha's sword so I swept up the pieces for safe-keeping. Hades would be upset now that his guard dog has died. You should first listen to what I've been telling you for the longeest time instead of arguing and maybe you'll get a clue on how to connect more with the undead and summon more. For example, the dog." Hekate was being vague with her last sentence.

"You only told me that what I was doing was wrong and that I was a bad person and would be corrupted by power, you never said anything about connecting with the undead to summon more and then there is this thing with the dog that you are being vague about now." Dru cleared his throat slightly and Fahy sighed heavily, "I am sorry for the outburst."

"Still don't understand why I said it though do you?" Hekate takes a seat on Julie's back. "The dog has a lot to do with the current topic."

A voice speaks in Sierra's mind. "I fucking swear, if you make me into fucking bullets, I will fucking kill you," the voice growls.

Meanwhile, in Hekate's mind, the same voice speaks. "Sure, just stuff me into a bag, why don't you," it mumbles.

Sierra was surprised by a voice going off in her head. She wasn't too shaken up by the fact that it was the metal since she was sentient mana so she had no right to complain. "I don't know how you'll kill me if I turn you into a bullet but sure. Okay. Who are you?" Sierra was traveling to California.

Hekate looks down at the bag, she was lucky she collected all the pieces. "So you are alive."

"My name is Alpharius von Cerberus. You can call me Alpha. The piece of my sword that you oh so rudely wanted to make bullets out of carries a shard of my soul. Who are you?"

Alpha scoffed. "Your lack of faith is disturbing. You actually thought that I was dead?"

"Um.... Wake her up?" Raven wasn't sure if she wanted to see this.
She shrugs, then turns to the attendants, "Go get me a bucket of water. Cold," They rush out of the room, and she waits patiently, leaning against the wall as she inspects her hand. Seemingly pleased by the fact they look normal, she looks at Raven, "You keep staring at me like you're looking ask a question. What is it?"

"Well Alpha my name is Sierra. We're headed to California. I have a job to do... gotta catch somebody before they reach the state of California." Sierra seemed to be going extremely fast. There was nothing but road, cars, and desert.

She blinks, the only indication of this being the fact her eyes disappear under the darkness of her hood. She tilts her head, her mouth forming a question, but it morphs instead into a smile as her hands reach up to remove her hood. "There's no harm in it, I suppose; my name and my face will mean nothing to you," When she lowers her hood to her shoulders, wild, tangled, black hair tumbles out, her violet eyes watching Raven closely. Something about her appearance seems unnatural, with her face seeming almost artificially attractive as if she sculpted it to look that way. She tucks her hair behind her ear, exposing an apparent burn scar across her right cheekbone, jaw, eye, and slight across her forehead. The burn has apparently damaged the eyesight in her right eye, as there's a complete absence of colour, milky white like she had a cataract in the side of her eye. She smiles a bit bitterly, which causes the scar tissue at her cheek to pull oddly, wrinkling over, "Horrible, isn't it? I was beautiful, much like you, prior to it. You know, their leader-" She gestures to Jackie, then to her scar, "-did this to me."

"Look I am not the smart twin ok? I don't understand these games you are playing with me. If there is something dangerous then I should be informed of it unless your true motive is to let me die in which case I am sure you are doing a good job of it. You are some sort of goddess but act like a child why is that? I came to you with respect and a want to learn and you dismissed my dreams with vague comments relating to y our past and people you knew then I come back to you with questions and you respond with vague not even hints at this point."

"How did she do that to your face?" Raven was repelled by it but didn't show it. She was already pushing her luck with the question. She felt like she would kill her for no reason at all.

Hekate wasn't trying to get him killed and she wasn't hiding dangerous information. She was no longer helping this child. He could assume whatever he wanted to and be an ass all he liked. She would have no part of it. She was done helping him with his piss poor attitude.

Raven was overstepping her bounds by a bit, but rather than leaping over the line like she had before, she was more toeing the line, testing the waters, and the woman, willing to humour the girl, allows it. She crosses the room as she stares down the girl, "One version of her has this magic that eats away anything it comes in contact with, and my face was unfortunately in the range of the blast. It ate right down to the bone, and the fact I was able to reconstruct the muscle and skin is nothing short of a miracle," She runs her fingers along her jaw, feeling the roughened skin and closing her eyes as if she were reimagining it, "Sometimes, I can still feel it burning across my skin."
