Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

Jumil looks at punembra "you will no longer wreak havc on us" she says as she brings her axe up "you will no longer be a menace" she swings her axe slicing straight into punembra's head

Bael shook slightly, then tried to keep his head. Hee honestly would have liked to end the little rat himself, but this girl - who was yet to stop bothering him - hadn't given him a chance. He leered at Sanja, who was now watching the others. "Right. We're done here. Let's go." He turned sharply to head back toward HQ, one goal in his mind now.

Piper nodded, watching the poltergeist carefully. "Greyston will not be without guards," she reminded him. "And keep in mind Sanja is one of them."

Bael turned to look at her. "I can kill her, too, then," he said.

"Excuse me," Sanja broke in, climbing back up on her horse. Bael looked it over and now realized it was not a physical being - this horse was a spirit. "That is extremely rude, thank you. And I have friends. They'll make that hard."

"Anyway," Piper sighed, "Let's head home. We have work to do." She set off, waving for the others to follow. There was a slight nagging at the back of her mind - concern for Sam. He seemed terribly young to Piper, though he really wasn't, and she knew it was likely he had more control over this than she wanted to give him credit for.

"...And what about the clothing? Is it real? Like, physical real, or did you conjure it?" Sanja was in front right next to Bael, still interrogating him none-stop when they got inside HQ. He was fairly certain he'd never heard so many questions at once. In order to try and stop her, he'd made a mistake: He answered her. Then she'd demanded more.

"It's... I don't know, okay? I've never thought about it," he snapped, glaring at her. She seemed greatly unfazed, then without hesitation pressed a hand between his vest and shirt on his shoulder. Her eyes lit.

"Oh my gosh. It is. It's physical. What?" she seemed greatly amused by this new discovery. "Oh! And what about eating? How do you interact with physical objects?"

"I thought you said you studied poltergeists and other ghosts extensively?" Bael shot back, louder this time.

"Yes, but I've never met a poltergeist with a form before," she told him.

When the group got back to headquarters, they saw several others already helping to clean the place up. Melody had gone up to do one thing that it was good at. It chatted with the guard at the door as best as it could while it helped "guard" Greyston. If any one tried to get in, no one could make more noise than the sound elemental to alert those who actually could stop an intruder.

Wednesday noticed Bael and the other girl talking when she reentered the room. She saw the girl touch him and was struck with the most intense emotion she had felt since she died nearly 11 years ago: Jealousy. What? What? She thought to herself in response to both her own reaction and the interaction between the two. She was half tempted to just stick Caden on the woman, but realized how terrible that idea was. Instead, she appeared behind the woman, "Welcome back, Bael, did you kill the thing?" She asked, trying to sound like her normal, apathetic self and falling a bit short. What is this? I don't care. I haven't cared about anything, especially since... She cut her thoughts off there to focus on the matter at hand. Luckily for her the sharp feeling seemed to be fading away now that she was over here and saw Bael's obvious disdain for the woman who touched him.

Liliana got back to the headquarters about the same time that Piper did, having been walking with her the whole way. She saw the interaction between the woman and the two ghosts and could hardly resist. She had missed her weekly dose of TV drama, so maybe this would provide her with the next best thing. The massive battle was a bit too real to be the drama she sought in a TV show, but this? This was right on track. She nudged Piper and motioned to the trio, waiting to see what would happen. Liliana would never admit it, but she was a touch disappointed in Wednesday's response. It wasn't quite what she hoped for. She hadn't been around the ghost enough to realize that was an emotional response for Wednesday, because of the tone in her voice especially. It sounded almost possessive.

Meanwhile, Alexander had been cleaning up since he got there. He had helped out during the battle but left the heavy hitters to the more seasoned fighters. He watched them as they came in, and smiled when he saw Sanja come back. He'd be chatting with her once she finished inspecting the Pultergeist. Looking around he spotted Justin, too. He had been one of Zhaine's friends, and they got on well enough, it seemed.

Kyuma walked back inside, proud of himself for the work he'd done, however small of a contribution it was.

'Hell yeah, badass balance breaker secret agent coming through! Maybe, now that everything's settled, I can finally get those panty shots I wanted from the boss lady! Oh, just the thought of those luscious legs laid bare is enough to bring me to life, in more ways than one..." He thought to himself, a lustful expression on his face.

Piper nodded at Liliana,looking over at the three. "I know," she said, then she looks around. "You should have seen her earlier, when she first met 'im." She was honestly in the same boat in Liliana, having not really talked to Wednesday much. She paused to direct a few volunteers to areas where they could help.

Bael turned to look at Wednesday as she approached, missing her tone altogether. He looked a touch disappointed. "No, actually," he told her. "The clergyman got to it first. And this one stopped me," he added, glancing angrily at Sanja.

She didn't seem to care, rather, her attention was on Wednesday now. "Oh, I didn't know there was another ghost here," she breathed. "It's nice to meet you. My name's Sanja Thorn. You?" She held out a hand to Wednesday, then realized it was unlikely she'd be able to actually shake hands and pulled it back. She looked the beautiful ghost over, fascinated by her flowing hair and dress. What had caused this? She guessed manner of death. Occationally ghosts would retain some facets of their death - whether they have a constant appearance of burning, looking as though they weere in the water - she glanced at Bael once more. So, how had he died? There were no apparent signs of his death.

Durring the lich's attack Allerio gave buffs and attacked the undead from a long distance with his bow. The way Oberon ended things seemed fishy and he had a very bad feeling. Regardless, when no one was paying attention he took out a teleportation scroll and went back to his hideout. He knew the members of the Department wouldn't leave him alone when all that would be over so he took the opportunity to flee. ''Hmph works everytime'' he thought to himself.

Meanwhile Dorian Evans approached Piper out of nowhere. He was together with a cameraman and had a microphone in his hand which he placed towards Piper. He then started to speak: ''Greetings , I am Dorian Evans from DC Times. You must be one of the leaders of the Department of Defense Against the Supernatural. The people of DC would like to know... Is the chaos over?''.

@KattRai

Piper turned sharply, surprised by Dorian's sudden appearance. She'd been considering Allerio's disappearance with minor frustration — she had considered asking him to join along with the others, though she didn't think he'd be interested. When the white-haired man gave his name, she raised her eyebrows. "Evans–? Like–?" She cut herself off, glancing at sander who was standing nearby. "Uh, yes. For now, certainly. But chaos is our job. Don't stop practicing evacuation scenarios. With everything happening these days you might need it."

''Ok thank you. As you all can see, the members of the Department are unsure about their own capabilities in fighting whatever dangers might occur around here without letting people or buldings get destroyed'' said Dorian, on a calm tone. He stopped for a while , making a sign to the cameraman to stop filming, then he talked to him: ''Ok, moving on to the next scene''. He walked away afterwards.

William was standing on a nearby couch, fiddling with his suit, while looking intensively at the journalist. He was trying to figure what he was. He was certainly not human. He had this aura to him, that stood out, yet he didn't get what species he was. He seemed old, yet normal in some odd way. Cracking his finger, he tried to get up, but froze when he noticed a figure standing besides him. ''Will'' he said, regaining his composure. ''I see your visits are more often. To what do I own the pleasure'' he said glaring at the other part of his soul's vessel manifested before him. ''Trying to escape again? I told you, it's going to be much harder than that'' he said as he laid back, hoping no one would see him talking alone.

''Oh, I'm getting out'' Will said as he laid back on the couch near him. ''Someway or another. I'm bringing you down, you colossal son of a bitch'' he said as he dissapeared before William's eyes. The Kraken sighed loudly, then continued guessing Dorian's species. He knew this was going to get more and more frequent and he had to think of a way to end it soon.

Justin was just undressing of the armor, and the weapons he wore during the battle, when he noticed Alexander standing there. ''Alex?'' he said as he went towards him. ''You work here? What the hell?'' he added laughing in good will as he went and hugged the guy. He knew him, even though they weren't super close. ''I just got accepted in the Department. I have never been so excited in my life'' he said smiling. ''I wish Zhaine was here to see us'' @KattRai

Liliana glowered at the newsman. What was that supposed to mean? Piper would be lying to say that they could handle everything, even the gods coulnt handle everything without collateral damage. People are responsible for their own safety, the department was just there to help. if anything they should be thankful. She didn't know who the guy was, but she knew that a normal person would be thankful that they stopped this before it spread any further. As it stood, it was mainly just central DC that was destroyed, as apposed to virtually all of New Orleans or, in this case potentially, the whole damned world.

Also,
why did the man from the newspaper have a cameraman with him...?

Glancing around she noticed that the vigilante had left to. Apparently he did not want to join the department, he'd continuer murdering people who may or may not be guilty until the Department caught him and caused his end. Or locked him up. Or did whatever it was they did with high flight risks.

Wednesday looked at Sanja, there was no trace of friendliness in her demeanor nor on her face. "I'm Wednesday, Wednesday Caden." She said, her eyes skimming the woman up and down, her gaze settling on the extended hand that she did not move to take. She then turned to Bael, immediately shifting into a bit more carefree state.

"Sorry you didn't get to kill the shadow thing, are you going to add her to your list? You know, the one that vampire's on?" Wednesday asked, turning her head a touch to the side, her hair flowing around her as she did.

@Sleipnir

Alex grinned at Justin, "Yeah, man, I just got hired on here before... well, I hadn't really taken the job until yesterday, when all of this stuff started." He hugged Justin back, and then went on, "You work here too, now? That's awesome! What do you do? When did you start?" He asked, ignoring the comment about Zhaine. It was a sentiment that he shared wholeheartedly, but the loss was still too fresh to feel comfortable saying such things out loud. In fact, his funeral hadn't even happened yet, due to the attack on the city it had to be postponed

@Elias

''Well, I was just hired moments ago'' he said as he paced around. ''I helped earlier, to fight the lich and all that shit, and even earlier I saved that guy from being crushed by a japanese skeleton spirit'' he said pointing to William. Glacing back, he said in a light tone. ''And now I'm here. I think they still have to determine my area of domain, but I think I wanna become someone like Luke. Being on the field/ using electronic crap it's a mix of my things'' he said as he laid back on a wall. ''How about you? Were you here during the fight? Scary crap, huh?'' @KattRai

"Yeah?" Alex asked, in response to what he wanted to do, then to answer his questions, he replied with: "Yeah, I was here, it was terrifying. I was helping fight the shadows and whatnot." He shook his head and looked back at Elias. "I just got here, too, so I'm still technically in training until they figure out where to put me." He added, "So who is he?"

''Who? The hairy brute guy?'' he said as he pointed to William. ''His name is William, and he is basically The Kraken. He's a leviathan, and he is quite a tough guy. However, I think he has a soft spot for a sound elemental we got in the Department'' he added sitting on an armchair. ''He is quite a nice fella, once you get to know him. I suggest you make some friends around here. The more the better. Also'' he added, elbowing him slightly. ''Keep an eye out for the ladies. They're few, but god, are they good'' he added laughing.

"Is that so?" Alexander asked, then listened to the rest of what he said, he smiled when he mentioned the ladies and laughed a bit. "Yeah? Maybe, who knows. Women aren't really why I'm here, though... And I am making friends, I have you and Sanja so far." He motioned over to the woman who was chatting with the two ghosts. "What about you? Have you been making friends or enemys?"

Sanja looked at Alex. "Hard to tell yet." She said with a grin. She glanced at Wedensday with a nod. "I'll leave you be." She went over to Justin and Alex.

Bael shook his head. "Nothing is even near the same level as him. He has to die one way or another. It's not optional."

@KattRai

Piper followed Dorian, stopping him. "Hey," she said. "Excuse me. We just saved your ass along with everyone here. A little thanks would be nice. We sustained damage too, and lost too many good people. We can't handle everything without collateral damage. That doesn't mean we can't handle it. It's what we're here for and we will continue protecting the public from threats of supernatural and extraterrestrial origin. When bad things happen, people get hurt. It's a fact of life. I think considering the situation, we did pretty well."

"I know. And I agree" replied Dorian. "I am a journalist. Just like cops, lawyers and mothers I can take everything you say and turn it against you. Then this becomes a scandal and I earn some extra money. It's the way mass-media works" he added, calmly. He then turned away and started walking in a different direction. The cameraman followed him. One wouldn't know that this was just one of the many masks of the mysterious Evan-Dor.

@Sleipnir

Piper scoffed. Journalists.

As she walked back to the department HQ, she paused for a moment by Sander's work station. "Hey, word of advice. Change your last name." She didn't wait for a response, knowing she wouldn't get one: as per the usual, he hadn't even looked up.

"Friends? Definitely. Enemies? I don't know. Do shadows spirits and chaos monsters summoned by a lich count? Cause they gave me a whole lot of headaches'' he added. He noticed the girl closing in on them. ''Good day. Sanja is it?'' he said extending a arm in sign of friendliness. ''I don't believe we have met yet. I'm Justin. Pleased to meet you'' he said chuckling.@Sleipnir

"Hey, Sanja, How did the battle go for you?" He asked, looking at the woman who came over and joined them. He brushed his thick black hair out of his face and waited for her response.

Liliana watched Piper confront the newspaper man. She got the impression that this was not such a great idea. She knew enough about media to know that this wasn't a good idea, but it seemed that he didn't take it as badly as he could have. She decided not to say anything about the camera man. and laying

((Sorry, I thought this posted almost half an hour ago))

"I was with Greyston the whole time," se replied. "He's going to be down and out for awhile. At least he's alive, though. Reed'a doing a decent enough job, having no training for this, I think. How was it for you two?" She asked, looking between Alex and Justin. She glanced back at Wednesday and Bael again. The girl was interesting, but it was Bael she had questions for. She put the idea away for the moment though.

''Gory. Full of blood, shadow goo, and green fire that caught on to your coat if you got too close to it. And large monsters, shadows, undead and a gas that pretty much induced your worst nightmares. It wasn't pretty'' Justin said as he recalled the events of the battle. ''By the way, I saw your horse familiar. He/She/It is pretty cool. How did you name it?'' @Sleipnir

Sanja grinned. "That's Sundial. Physically, 'he,' but I imagine in the Dreamscape he isn't really either. I just found him one day and he was super easy to get along with," she told him. "I've got a wolf, too!"

''Cool'' Justin said as he grinned. 'He was making new friends it would seem. ''You seem to be quite interested in the poltergeist and the ghost. Are you some kind of chick that investigates ghosts?'' he said as he leaned back . '''I wouldn't take you for the ''ghostbuster'' type'' @Sleipnir

"Exciting, honestly, and exhausting." Alex said, looking out the window at the night sky, he listened to their conversation before finally pitching in himself. "Hey, I think I'm gong to head on up to see what's left of the apartment upstairs, it's really late and I'm tired." With that he turned and left.

"Oh, he does? That's fun." Wednesday said, looking at Bael then looking around, She hadn't really paid attention and if he had mentioned why he hated Greyston so much, then she had missed it.

Bael shot Wednesday something of a glare. He certainly didn't really appreciate her apathy to his feelings — granted she knew little else. He still didn't appreciate it though. It was almost dampening.

Sanja shook her head. "Oh, no — I'm no ghost hunter. I'm a spirit Mage. My favorite area of study is probably Nether Magic; that poltergeist is like none I've had the pleasure of studying. I've never seen one over a century old and with a physical form!"
