Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

@KattRai @Elias

The aura around Allerio suddenly changed and he replied with a deep, mesmerizing and almost hypnotic voice: ''I am old...I have seen many things and know many secrets. Such as Oberon Mekasm alias the King of Nothingness, the lich who appeared in astral form some time ago. He is an extremely strong necromancer and is the direct cause for many chaotic events durring history, most proeminently...the events which caused the ''Elven Nightmare''. He even took part in the creation of vampires and is directly responsible for the creation of fused souls. There is no use in protecting your graveyards as he only uses potent materials as the general Lu Bu who you might have fought. Lu Bu is the least of your problems right now. He already has everything he needs in his hideout and because he appeared after so many centuries it is a sign that he is prepared for whatever enemies he might face. The reason why I'm telling you all this and the reason why I appeared in front of you is to suggest an alliance'' he said. After he finished his speech the grave aura around him dispersed.

Piper paused as she heard Bael's playing, taking off-guard. It had never occurred to her that maybe he did have interests — she's never had a chance to see anything hit the poltergeist, the monster that needed contained.

But there at the piano, he looked more to her like... Just another kid. He still looked mildly irritated, as though someone was at his shoulder hitting wrong notes, but slowly he began to look more relaxed.

Then suddenly he sat bolt upright, the music cut off abruptly, and Bael stood up and stared at the piano for a moment before turning and quickly going elsewhere to help clean up.

William glared. If Corin would be in his right mind he would arrest the elf here and now, for all the people he killed, all the damage he has done in that fire. ''You piece of shit'' he said as he stepped forward. ''If this Oberon thing wouldn't be unfolding, I would kill right now on the spot'' he said as his eyes lighted up a little, displaying his signature red-pink eyes. ''You may be our only hope for defeating the lich, but trust me elf'' he said as he stepped closer. ''I'm keeping my eyes on you''

"William, calm yourself. There is a time and a place for everything. After all, how many have you and many of the others in the department killed? We are in the business of second chances and atonement, believe it or not, and If what you say is true, and I believe that it is from the things I've heard in my life, then I believe an alliance would be more than beneficial... Of course, we do have people out who think they may have found the phylactory already." Greyston said, holding an arm out to keep William from attempting to attack the man offering his knowledge of their enemy.

Wednesday was disappointed that Bael had stopped playing, and sighed. She liked music, she had forgotten she liked music.

Scath had stayed behind after the "clean up" was finished. He had shifted back into his natural form and had begun flying around whole of DC, keeping watch over the city as the Department dealt with the Lich.

''Very well...wait if they found it you should know: it isn't located in this plane o reality. You need to find the portal. You also need strong nullifying magic, white magic and/or anti-mage skills if you hope of bypassing all of Mekasm's defences and traps'' said Allerio. He paused a few seconds then added: ''You should also know that he won't just sit and wait for you to mobilize his forces. He should attack again soon enough. And this time with higher numbers. Oh and this last thing is just a rumour but...he might have created a fused soul which has complete control over darkness''.

@KattRai @Elias

Piper turned her attention to Fred. "Everything coming along well?" She asked, trying to keep tabs on everything happening in the department.

Bael, meanwhile, was finishing up a rather large area. He then sat down with a file, looking through it. He frowned, clenching his jaw — whatever it was, it didn't please him.

He read on for several minutes, throwing pages on the ground before finally standing up. The desk flew across the floor again, slamming into the next one and stopping. He moved toward the staircase down toward the cells where he was kept with the files.

''Indeed'' William said as he stepped back, still keeping his glare on the vigilante. ''I'm sorry for my behaviour'' he said bowing his head slightly ashamed. ''Any agent of Department should know that'' he said as he took Corin's hand off of him and listened to what the archer had to say.

''If what you say is true, then we should not stand on our asses doing nothing'' he said turning to Corin. ''We should mobilize our forces soon, yet we have so many injured'' @KattRai

Turning to Allerio, he talked. ''And what are you intending to do? Shoot him to death with your arrows?'' @Azure Sky

"That would certainly be unfortunate. Galleytrot- the Black Dog- and the Arch-Bishop are out at a cave that had a portal inside, last I heard. If this Oberon wants a world of darkness, why wasn't he satisfied in the void? If you have faced him before, do you have any ideas on what he may do next? An unknown enemy is difficult to predict. I assume he wants death, based on his last attack, more so than destruction. And this little monster excursion seemed like a distraction, but I haven't been able to figure out what from." Greyston said, glancing again at the basilisk who seemed to be beaten into submission.

Wednesday noticed the moody ghost, and got up to see what he was making such a rucus about.

"What was that?" She asked, sounding less than interested

A black cat slinks its way up the steps and speaks. "Oy, down here!" he says as he hops up onto the counter top, "She told me to help you out." He looks up expectantly. "Grab that messenger bag and put in everything I say, got it?" What you could discern as far facial expressions would tell you that he seems annoyed for some reason. "Take four lode stones, four quartz gems, three healing potions, three sleeping potions, and five bundles of sage, and that spell book." He says gesturing to a large leather bound tome on the bookshelf behind the counter. And don't worry the bag is spelled to be larger inside than it appears."

Bael turned sharply toward her, pointing at her with the folders. "It wasn't your funeral, that's what," he snapped. He turned back around to keep walking but then said, "Just... Something fairly important to me. Something happened a long time ago and this has to do with it."

He glanced at the folders.

Galleytrot activated the portal and stepped through, eager to get the phylactery dealt with. He had a job waiting for him and this was quite the inconvenience.

Justin stood a couple of moments staring down at the cat, but then figured it was Winnifred's familiar. Every witch had one, and she probably told him through a link that Justin was going to be here. Setting off, he picked all the ingredients Bartholomew pointed to, and stuffed them in the bag. ''Sleeping potions, quartz gems, sage....that would be all'' he said as he closed the bag. ''Thank you, Bartholomew'' he said as he nodded towards the cat. ''You've been most helpful'' he said as he took a glance around the shop. ''Nice place you have here. I will have to come by again, for...reasons'' he said as he smirked. ''What do you do by the shop all day?'' @KattRai

She nods her head absently, still focused on the wounded. Once she had a moment she wipes some sweat from her brow. "I think everyone will be fine. Just to be certain I had Justin head to my shop and pick up some things, he should be back soon." She walks over to her with her arms crossed over her chest, "And how about you?"

Piper shrugged. "Not terrible," she replied, turning to look as there was a loud crash. "We need to lock that one back up soon..." She said, more to herself than anything.

Grabbing the bag with the ingredients, Justin bid farewell to Bartholomew and exited the shop. Propulsing himself in air, he flew once again with high speed until he reached the Department Headquarters once again. Reaching the doors, he hovered down until he reached the pavement with his feet then continued inside, at a normal pace. Holding the bag slightly, he headed towards the place where Winnifred and Piper were dealing with the wounded. Putting the bag down on a nearby table, he notified the girls. ''Ladies...Your supplies have arrived'' he said, then did an exagerated comic bow you would see in cartoons. Getting back up from the bow, he laughed with good heart. ''Oh by the way. Met your familiar, Winnifred. Nice fella'' he said as he started caring for the wounded aswell while looking at Fred. She was pretty and she seemed like a really nice person. He liked her. And there was Piper. She was cute too, but way too professional for him.

Dwelling to these thoughts, Justin continued his pacient work.

Piper turned her attention back to Justin and grinned at his little act. She nodded her thanks to him, then looked at Fred. "Anything I can help with?" She asked, picking up a few more papers.

Bael stood silently for a minute before turning to Wednesday. "It's files on the Golden Fang Brotherhood," he finally said.

@KattRai

She accepts the bag and gives him a smile, "Thanks, he's quite the character isn't he?" She says with a smile before turning back to the task at hand.

She forms two parallel lines, one with the lode stones and the other with the quartz gems. Takimg a moment to center herself she holds her hands out over them and recites, "Ligaveris metallo et lapide." Her incantation complete, the adjacent gems and stones fuse into four softball sized spheres. "One more spell and we'll be good to go." She says before taking several deep breaths and beginning her next incantation. "Aqua et igni numina habitat intra lapidem ventus et repleat locum istum omnia vasa et muniat. Maxime calefiat benedictus dirige in hoc sacro." As she chants these words each sphere would glow with its own inner light and shift positions until they were in a perfectly square formation.

"Invenire locum tuum." With this final spell each sphere would roll away and find its way to the furthest parts of the perimeter corresponding to the cardinal directions and melt flawlessly with the foundation.

"Yeah." She says slightly winded," Find something large enough to contain all of these she says holding up the potions, once that's done distribute the mixture to the worst of the wounded. The mixture will allow them to rest and heal quickly. Then we're going to smudge the building."

Wednesday nodded to Bael, a bit self satisfied that she was able to wait him out. She said simply, "Never heard of them, some kind of evil club?" She asked.

(Sorry, will post more later.)

He shook his head. "More like a cult." He told her, scowling at the floor. "I need to deal with them."

"Sure." Piper went off to find something for Fred. She came back with a large box of sorts. "This should do, right?"

She chuckles slightly, "Do you guys by chance have a water cooler?" She asks? "I'm mixing them together so that they can be drank."

"Sure do. Tons of them, really," Piper told her. But she didn't move immediately, a grin playing on her lips a touch. "So, what do you think of Justin?" she asked, unable to resist the temptation. She did have a soft-spot for things like this.

Evans finished putting together his desk area and immediately set toworking up a report of the events thusfar. He hoped adamently he could get away from fighting anymore. Unlikely if that Lych showed up, though.

Bael glanced over toward where Piper was standing, then focused his attention back on Wednesday and Caden. "Hope you're happy now. I cracked for you." Perhaps that wasn't totally true. He hoped she'd fall for it, though, since he didn't particularly want her digging any more.

Sam stepped into the portal after Galleytrot

"Let's get this crap over with." Sam said.

"Bishop." he said. A Black Bishop chess piece appeared in his hand, as a Black Pawn piece fell, turning white as it fell, and shattered upon touching the floor

"Quick explanation, Galleytrot. Bishops move in a diagonal path, symbolizing an indirect attack. As such, Bishop powers up my magic. I can either use my magic staff normally, or turn it into a gun for more faster and more precise, but more limited magic usage. Weakness? I lose physical powers, both strength and defense."

He suddenly felt an immense pressure push down on him. This entire world was made to destroy anyone who tried to destroy the phylactery. With this immense magic pressure, it was hard to run, thus making it hard to maneuver if a trap spring. He could disperse it under Bishop and Queen, and keep it dispersed, but he wouldn't be able to use any other piece in the heat of battle.

"Mage Seal- Pressure Release." His staff glowed white, and the pressure immediately lessened. They had to move cautiously in this place

@Sleipnir

Galleytrot huffed. "Well, we can work with that, don't you think? As long as you can help keep some of the environment from trying to kill us, you're useful, after all. Let's find the stupid thing and get this over with. If there's too much quiet back at home, I'm fairly certain our poltergeist friend will try and kill Greyston if the lych doesn't beat him to it. As well as killing everything else, that is..." he suddenly shifted into a spaniel - a very large one - and moved forward carefully, hoping the Bishop would pass him off as a shapeshifter and that no one would say otherwise.

"Hmm... I don't remember what happy feels like." She said with a shrug. "So no, I don't think I'm happy now... but, what do you plan to do about it at the moment? Aren't there bigger problems?" She asked, then she glanced back to Caden, who seemed to be having trouble staying still. "I think she's bored... or hungry again." She said, sighing.

Liliana watched Piper and Winifred's conversation, rolling her eyes at Piper's subscription to petty gossip at a time like this. She went and got an ice chest and brought it back for Fred, that way Piper could enjoy their 'chat.' Deciding there was little to be done here, she thought about trying to find the cave that supposedly held the key to defeating the Lich, however she realized she did not know the way out there, and would likely be more of a hinderance.

(@Azure Sky I believe Greyston is still waiting on a response from you?)

He scoffed slightly. "Me too," he told her after she mentioned forgetting how to be happy. Once she questioned his current plans, he shook his head. "I hadn't thought that far ahead. I wanted to keep these, I suppose - in order to look them over more closely."
