Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

"I agree," liliana said, she looked around and saw the Department and local police in action. There were teleporters gaming across all of the areas with the highest density of people whe sent them out to saftey. Then she saw a bit of fire in the distance- explosion? She looked back at Winifred and pointed towards where it had come from. "Come on, I don't want to be evacuated, let's go see what's out there, shall we?" With that, Liliana took off that way. She assumed others probably would, too.

With the evacuation well under way, Greyston and Galleytrot found themselves searching near enough to the undead general to see the show.

"Really? Why is it always fire? How come I never get to fight, I don't know, shadow warriors, or water masters?" Corin said with a sigh, staying back long enough to shops out a text to his team:

We need back up. NOW. Don't stop evacuating, though. This isn't the main guy, it wouldn't seem.

After that he sent a general location of where they were. "Well, I suppose we couldn't get lucky enough for the fire to kill the undead like it's meant to, Huh?" He asked Galleytrot, preparing to fight. The sun hug low in the sky and Greyston could feel himself growing stronger as it sank into an array of Reds and purples. The clouds provided quite the ominous scene overhead for the earthly battle that was about to take place.

The Kraken noticed Bael's cold green eyes looking at him, so he got going alongisde him, Melody trailing behind them. Curious, Will examined the poltergeist. He seemed real enough, yet the floating and his overall appearance did giveaway his ghostly heritage. He probably wasn't visited or liked by any people. And then, for the first time, William felt he was at least better in the terms of living than this boy. Sure, the department were aware of the crimes he done in the past, the ships he sinked, the men he killed, yet the Department still let him in. If they could do that to a Leviathan, he was sure they were able to turn around even the most racist of poltergeists. Cracking his knuckles, his mind wandered back on his body. Obviously, this was a human vessel, yet it wasn't a human form. He didn't think anyone here knew that he was possesing this poor bastard body with a curse. They probably wouldn't react good to that. Afterall, he was twisting a human soul, pushing it aside to make room for his enormous leviathan soul. They must never find out this. That the real William is locked away in his own body, screaming in terror for the Kraken to let him out. No. They musn't.

Eventually, he cleared his throat and motioned for the poltergeist to follow him.

Meanwhile, Justin told he could help whoever he wants. So he went alongside Greyston and Galleytrot. He could fly, so if anything went down he could carry them away, and flying was good in battle.

Galleytrot chuckled. "Oh, I wouldn't worry too bad. Just don't get burnt to a crisp." With that, he turned to his form as a huge white spaniel, about the size of a yearling horse. He glanced at Greyston, prepared to fight.

Piper stopped when she got the text, then sent out another.

Could you head out and find Greyston? I think he's out near 38th. He said he needs back up. Badly.

A young man — not over 18 — looked at his phone. He stared at the text a moment, then stood up from his desk, grabbed a pair of guns off his wall with a halter, and headed out to meet Piper where she stood. He had grey eyes and white hair — side effects of a case gone terribly wrong and the department was still unsure what had occurred — and looked woefully unfit for backup in every way. "Be safe, Reed," he told Piper before grabbing a motorcycle and taking off to find Greyston.

Piper did the same, following Luke instead.

Bael, after a minute, turned sharply toward William. "Stop staring," he said coldly, clearly making no attempt to get along with his companion than anyone else he had met. "Anyway, where do we start? I don't know anything about this hole in the wall." He looked around, staring at the sky scrapers. He made no attempt to hide his awestruck demeanor, though it looked less wide-eyes and bright curiosity and more enormous, clear respect for improvement though he was quiet about it.

The computers in Luke's office played the news footage. They didn't have a good view of the general from where they were, so Luke used magic to look at his computers from where he was. "Fire again? I swear!" This meant that Corin wouldn't be fighting. "Do I really have to do the fighting again?"

Luke stood no chance against that guy head up. He could barely run on a treadmill, let alone fight............... directly. He did have bots to use though.

He shot a text to Corin
"Hold him off for a while by any means necessary. I think I can take him on, but it'll be a minute before I get there."

@KattRai

He turned to Piper. "We have to get to the Local Station fast, and fortify the graveyard. You know this though, so let's hurry. Have you ever ridden a hoverboard?" He summoned another one. Taking any route that used the ground would take hours, considering the instant traffic that asshole general caused, plus the fact that people abandoned their cars, and were running around like they were on fire.

@Sleipnir

Justin stood alongside Greyston and Galleytrot, and watched as the black dog turned into a huge spaniel not so black. Well, he wasn't one to judge, he thought as he activated his grey glowing eyes aswell and cracked his knuckles.'' I can help'' he said turning to them. I may not have wings and just be a half-blood, but I fight'' he said as he looked them in the eyes. ''I want to prove myself, and show you that I am worthy of being a member of the Department. @KattRai

William glanced back at the poltergeist and then forth at the road they were taking. ''Well, Corin said to find a safe sector, protect it and barricade it so the people could be safe when shit hits the fan'' he said as he continued forward. ''You don't look that happy to be here. I bet you would kill everyone here and retreat back to your lighthouse if world wasn't on the brink'' he said altough he didn't mean to upset the geist entirely. He was purely testing to see if he still had anger issues and if he could be trusted on a matter like this....@Sleipnir

Bael leered at him. "I don't get on well with the sort who stick their noses in business that's not their funeral," he said meaningfully. "Yes, I'd kill them — If they got in the way. Yes, I'd run. But that's not an option right now, is it? I have other things to worry about." He turned back toward moving on. "So you mind your own business. I'm not here to talk about my feelings or some balderdash."

Piper nodded to Luke. "I've not been on one but I'll give it a shot." She stepped on, easing into a balanced position. "I guess I'm ready to go when you are."

Galleytrot looked at Greyston, a slight grin on his muzzle and ears perked as well as they could be. He want sure about the vampire, but he trusted this new recruit well enough.

Greyston nodded to both of his companions and glanced at Luke's text. Taking in everything he took a breath and sighed. "Right, let's see what we can do here." Greyston pulled out his gun and leveled at the general, firing off three clean shots to get his attention.

"Hey, you wanted to play?" He asked.

Melody watched the two seemingly size each other up. For the moment, the elemental stayed quiet.

"I tweaked it for beginners. The board moves at your own will. You'll only go as fast as you'll want to. It's a 3 minute fly to the local station from here." She shouldn't have much trouble controlling it. Balance should be the only issue, and that could only be Piper's problem

Luke flew off swiftly, towards the local station. He bothered not to wait for Piper, but left a visible magic trail behind him for her to follow There were some on-duty cops below evacuating some of the people from Downtown. They may be needing it soon. Luke took in the surroundings, calculating a strategy in his head, and who to put where in the city.

Will smiled hearing the cold and natural remarks of the poltergeist. At least he had the guts to say what he was thinking and he knew who the bigger problem was here. The necromancer. But that popped something in his mind. After they would defeat the lich, the poltergeist would probably make a run for it. But for now, the Kraken knew that he could trust him. Smiling back coldly, he said in a low-tone. ''Good. That's what I wanted to hear. You will do just fine helping me, even though you don't like me. And trust me bud, the feeling is mutual'' he said as they closed in on their location.

Justin glared at the general, waiting for some kind of response to their action. @Azure Sky -chan pls)

Lu Bu saw some people starring at him, but only one word came out of his mouth: ''Challengers''. He had a creepy smile on his face. Swinging his lance around his body, Lu Bu looked at the vampire and nephlim and charged at them. Altough they were pretty far from him, it must have been pretty shocking for his opponents to see him appear near them in the split of a second, swinging his spear , ready to kill. Oberon could feel what was happening. ''Heh...let's see what you can do'' he thought to himself.

@KattRai @Elias

"Then stop talking," Bael shot back at him. "Didn't the vampire say something about a river? That's where we're headed, yeah?" Bael had already gotten sick of talking. He wanted to get this over with. He wanted to get the job done. He had a running grudge against any and all undead, and in all honesty it had very little to do with the people involved. He just wanted to kill the enemy, then deal with Greyston.

Piper leaned in, following Luke. She was catching on quickly, having decent enough balance, and aimed to catch up to him.

A motorcycle pulled up behind Greyston and Co, and Sander Evans was immediately next to them. He frowned at the creature before him, backpedaling as he charged and considering his plan of action.

Greston watched the creature charge, when he got near enough to strike, Greyston dove to the side and rolled off behind the general, careful to stay away from that lance. He wasn't quite at full strength, but he had enough for now. He planted a hard kick in the back of the general before diving back and watching what his companions would do. He knew getting struck by that thing would be all sorts of bad news for him- or anyone without some sort of flame resistance, at least.

@Azure Sky @Sleipnir @Elias

Melody watched the exchange, and morphed into a portion of flowing river, speeding in front of them and forking out, an indication of where they were heading. The sound of rushing water was surprisingly loud as the elemental did so. after that, Melody came to a rest on Bael's head, turning itself into a bit of a hat. To it's great surprise, it actually rested on Bael. It seemed that Melody could interact fairly well with spirits, compared to the more physical realm.

Justin was taken by surprise when the chinese warrior suddenly appeared besides them. Curses. They should have expected that. I mean, the guy came out of a freaking portal, and set a building on fire just by jumping on it. Of course he also had teleportation. Why do only the powerful villains choose only us? Justin thought in a matter of moments. He could see the deadly blade rolling towards him. His first instict was to duck under the spear's trajectory, but he did otherwise. He jumped up, using his semi-flight mode, and planted a hard kick on the general's face, hoping to phase him. Willing to take the warrior's attention off the weakened Corin, he shouted to the man. ''Hey, dumbnutt. I'll kick your ass if you get close to me'' he said taunting the enemy.

''Indeed, he has, as Melody showed moments ago'' he said showing him the river forking. ''Shouldn't take too long to get there. I'm fairly sure we're going to get this soon in a awfully short time'' he said in his formal tone.

Bael jumped slightly as Melody rested on his head, having not felt any tactile sensation in a very long him. Carefully and rather slowly he reached up and picked Melody up, bringing it down to look at it, an unusual, curious look on his face. The. He nodded to the kraken, following, still holding Melody without really thinking about it.

Galleytrot dodged under the undead general, sliding around behind him and launching onto his back. He kneed, gnashing on the creature's... Matter or something. He snarled, a deathly sound if ever there was one.

Sander stood back, rapid-fire shooting at the creature from his vantage point, now on top of an overturned car. He was watching carefully, trying to find any weak points and what might effect the beast.

She follows along keeping up with Liliana as best she can. "Bart, have you found anything?" It takes a moment for him to respond, "Only some obscure mentions to Elder Gods, Great Old Ones, and a Lich." "I'm banking on it being a Lich." The thinks back sarcastically while doing her best to keep up with Liliana.

Lu Bu was not teleporting, he didn't have any sorts of magical skills, what he relied on was simply his undead enhanced condition and his martial arts skills with the addition of the Vendetta spear. He was still sent a few steps back by the various attacks but it still didn't seem to do much damage. Even if it did his body was undead and enhanced so he didn't feel any pain and bullets from conventional firearms could barely scratch him.He was not invincible, but one needed a lot of frepower to actually hurt him enough to disable him. He was the legendary warrior Lu Bu after all. He wasn't affected by taunts either, even without Oberon's ''modifications'', Lu Bu wasn't the knd of man to be affected by words, as he considered it a sign of weakness. ''Taunting the enemy is for the weak'' he said in a loud and powerful voice. He threw the spear towards Greyston at high speed, but at one meter before it could reach the vampire , Lu Bu appeared from below grabbed the low end of the shaft then got behind Greyston in a circular motion attacking him rapidly. His movements mimicked those of a spinning top. He was confident that he could deal with anything and he also lost his interest in Justin, although Lu Bu wouldn't have mercy on him if the nephlim tried to attack him again.

@KattRai @Elias @Sleipnir

''He's ignoring me'' Justin said as he noticed that Lu Bu was going for Greyston, the most weakened of them. Chanelling his power, Justin flew high-speed towards the general, fists forward like Superman, and punched the general with all his strength in the back, hoping to inflict him at least some pain. Once he did the punch, he swirld around mid-air kicking his head repedeatly. ''Greyston, dodge, run, do something!'' he yelled then turned for Galleytrot. ''Come on! We must not let him!'' @KattRai @Sleipnir @Azure Sky

William, the poltergeist and Melody soon reached the vincinity of the rivers, and William looked around. ''So, where do we start?''

(Seriously though, I must evacuate the people here, and build a barricade here? Cuz I forgot. Lelz)

Greyston was quick, but not fast enough to both keep up with the in coming attacks and fight back. He had been so focused on avoiding the spear and the potential flames that they would cause that the first of Lu Bu's attacks hit him pretty hard, but once he found the rhythm, Greyston was able to dodge and keep time with the ancient asian general, barely, and he tried to find an opening to escape the flurry of attacks without leaving himself open to getting hit... again. Could the sunset be any slower today? He thought to himself, remaining on the defensive until he found the opening he needed. With a low sweep, under an attacked aimed for his torso, Corin tried to knock his enemy off-balance long enough to give him a place to get back and catch his breath. He watched as Justin flew in just afterwards.

"Yup, on that" Greyston said, a bit short of breath."

(Edit for @Elias also, barricade. You can make it quick though, others are already working on it anyway)

Galleytrot suddenly was gone. He appeared from the ground beside Greyston, glancing at him and ready to try and help should he need to escape again. He growled, irritated. How would they defeat it with no apparent weaknesses?

Evans dropped the gun to his side, staring at Lu Bu. He couldn't kill it with firepower it appeared. It hit him then. He holstered his gun and pulled a much high powered one off his back, knealed down, and aimed: Not for the general. For the spear. If he could just get that spear out of reach...

"Now." Bael wasted no time, setting to erecting posts and barricades immediately and with all the same determination and care as he used to keep the light. He didn't wait for orders or direction — it wasn't his nature to stand and wait. Here, in the light, working, most others failed to realize he wasn't human. He hadn't used any telekinesis yet, and was not floating.

''Ok then. Let's make this quick, shall we mate?'' William said as he started building a barricade using some tentacles he extended from his back. He was curious of the poltergeist's power of lifting. He was curious how many things at once, this spirit could lift. Oh well, they would need to find out. ''Hey. Spirit'' he said as he turned towards Bael. ''You said you want the job done so you can get out of here. Get to work, will you?'' he said as he motioned around showing him the things needing lifting. ''Melody. You could get the people to meet up here, can't you?''

Meanwhile, Justin was kicking and punching around hard enough to get the general's attention. He was fast, but speed was not the most important thing here.

(Gtg for a bit, be back in about 2-3 hours)

This was around the time that Liliana and Winifred arrived. "Chinese general... Geeze, I hate necromancers. This guys soul was already sorted and sent off, his body shouldn't be so... animated." She said with a sigh, hanging around on the sidelines to asses the battle. She needed her weapons. She had woefully came without her more modern weapons, but a good valkyrie never left home without at least one weapon. She reached into the inside pocket of her jacket and pulled out what seemed to be a glove enchanted by the goddess. She used it to pull from her arsenal of Valkyrie weapons. For now, she pulled a large Scythe, giving her the ability to hit hard from a distance, plus this particular weapon was embed with lighting- like many of her weapons. That part was courtesy of Oden. She waited for an opening.

The bullet aimed at the spear hit its target. The spear was blown away from the chinese warrior's arm around 20 meters away. Lu Bu realised it and smiled. He turned around to see were the shot came from and sighted Evans. He also realised tat Justin was kicking and punching him so he looked at him for a few seconds before clapping his hands and generating a 10-meter-radius shockwave to shake off the nephlim. Afterwards he grabbed the bullets which where shot at him earlier from the ground and threw them in succesion towards Evans. Contrary to his looks Lu Bu was actually more proefficient with the bow than with any other weapon so he had great accuracy. Because of his inhumanly powerful throw the bullets were flying at high speed, not at their original speed but at least at twice the peak speed of an arrow.

@KattRai @Sleipnir @Elias

Bael shot his companion a deathly glare, then stepped away from where he was working. An abandoned car was suddenly thrown into an empty space, windows shattering. Suddenly all motion stopped at the crash. All eyes were locked in on the suddenly-flung car, and no one said a word. Bael turned around to look at William. He threw his arms out in a gesture. "Ya happy?" He yelled to him, pulling the attention onto himself unintentionally.

Galleytrot dove for the spear immediately, diving into the ground and appearing beside it to grab it in his mouth. It was an odd picture, but it worked well enough. He appeared next to Greyston again, with a look and posture of a dog offering a stick to play fetch with.

Sander watched the general as he noticed him standing on the car. He recognized his next move and dove down under the vehicle, shoulder grazed, but mostly uninjured. He huffed, grimacing at the pain, and stayed down for a moment to decide his next move: that is, how to get out from under the car and find a better vantage point.

"Holy Sh..." "Don't be vulgar, Fred." Says Bartholomew through her link, cutting her off and breaking her train of thought. "Is that The Lu Bu? Ancient Chinese general Lu Bu? Just in case he kills me can you find me a good final resting place in either Alfheim or Vanaheim?" Nervous banter aside Fred is wracking her mind for any spell or bit of lore that she could use to stop the giant of a man from inflicting more harm than he already has.

Scath tucked his wings and dove, the air ripping across his body as he shifted into his anthro form before touching down next to Lilliana and Fred. "Forgive me for the theatrical entrance, I have been reading shakespeare again." It might have been odd for a Dragon to come off with a joke during a serious situation, but Scath was starting to pick up on more modern humor. "Forgive me for my absence lately, but we can catch up after this is over." Scath turned to Fred. "I apologize for my rude behavior, I am Scath of Wales. Now," he turned to watch the fight, "Do we have any idea of what this thing is?"
