Kain was almost to the cabin when he caught her scent behind him. He whirled around and saw her. He knelt down, eyes down. “May I heal you now?” He asked her.
-
Jay wasn’t expecting him to scoop her up. “E-Eric!” She laughed, her arms automatically going around his neck. She looked up at him with a grin. “You gonna carry me to breakfast?” she asked with a grin.

Astrid’s wolf just glared at him still mad but collapsed to the ground unable to fight any longer

-

Eric walked out of their room and headed down to the dinning hall “yes?” He chuckled playfully

Kain took that as a go ahead. He moved up to her, his focus on her leg. He placed his hands on the wound, the embers sending pain through him. He focused, calling for healing. Her leg was wrapped in blue as he worked the healing magic. It took a few moments longer than before, but it worked.
-
Jay smiled, her head leaning on his chest. “Okay” she said happily.

She cried out in pain pinning her ears at him but passed out at some point and just lay there as he worked. He would notice though the pain when he touched her next was gone.

-

Eric walked into the dinning hall and set her down so she could sit on her chair

Kain saw her pin her ears but had continued his work. As he knelt back once done, he sighed. He had to wait for her to wake up, he couldn’t carry her in her wolf form.
-
Jay smiled as she was set down. “Why thank you” She smiled wider as she sat in her chair, and looked at the spread of breakfast foods. She grabbed waffles, eggs and bacon, along with the pitcher of Orange juice.

Astrid groggily came to a while later, her wolf still just pinning her ears at him angrily as she shook out her coat tiredly. She shifted stumbling slightly, while his healing fixed the wounds she was still abit sore

-

Eric sipped on his stein as he hummed looking at all the food grabbing himself a plate.

Kain had waited, that healing session had felt different than the others he’d done. Shaking his head, he looked at Astrid when she woke, with her ears pinned at him. He stood up as she stumbled, he wanted to steady her but knew she wouldn’t let him. He would follow her back.
-
Jay must’ve been starving because she already finished her waffles and half of her juice was gone.

Astrid walked slowly back to the cabin and waited for him to open the door before she immediately went into her room and nosed the door shut. It was going to take a lot more than that to get her wolf to even remotely let her anger go.

Eric chuckled “hungry?” He grinned as he finished and held out a hand to return to their room

Kain opened the door for her, shutting it behind her. He sighed, in the literal dog house again. Or would it be wolf house? He shook his head and sat on the couch, pulling a blanket over himself. He should call Eric and apologize. He’d been rather short with everyone these last few weeks and no one deserved it. Not his mate or his best friend.

Jay blushed as she finished. “I didn’t think I was that hungry” she laughed, taking his hand so they could head back to their room.

Astrid’s wolf curled up and at some point finally shifted back giving Astrid control but she could still feel the anger radiating off her. Heading into the bathroom she took a long shower just soaking in the heat

Eric chuckled “good thing there is plenty.” He playfully scooped her up again and nuzzled her neck with a grin

Kain was still debating on calling Eric or not. He'd finally decided on not when he heard Astrid moving to the bathroom. He'd felt something when he'd healed her but he had no idea what it meant. He sighed, running a hand through his black hair as he hoped she'd come out to the living room.
--
She smiled at him before she felt him scoop her up. She laughed as he nuzzled her neck. "I guess I don't have to walk anymore? I've got my personal carrier" She said with a grin on her face.

Astrid just lay on her bed for a few hours until she was hungry again and walked out into the kitchen to get a snack. She didn’t even acknowledge Kain, really not sure if she wanted to punch the guy or cry. Likely both.

Eric grinned playfully “no queen should have to walk.” He however playfully dropped her on his bed with a mischievous grin

Kain finally heard the bedroom door open. Now was his chance, and he was going to take it. "Astrid, can we talk?" He asked, getting up from the couch and walking over to the kitchen. "Please?" He added.
--
Jaylin looked at him with a grin. Then she felt herself dropped on his bed, and the grin on his face made her laugh. "Oh, so I don't have to walk, but you can drop me on your bed?" She said with a teasing laugh, looking up at him.

Astrid didn’t even turn around “what do you want Kain.” She just went digging for her snacks and a soda.

-

Eric purred playfully “I tripped.” He shrugged innocently but climbed on the bed beside her “didn’t want you falling to the floor

Kain swallowed before he sighed. "I know sorry means nothing, but I, I was so scared of hurting you further that I let it consume me again. I've been the most inconsiderate mate and you don't deserve that. I know I messed up again, but something happened when I healed your wolf. Something had stitched itself up? I don't know how to describe it." He said, his voice betraying his desperation for her to believe him.
--
She gave him an unamused look. "You.. tripped" She said, a smirk crossing her face. She immediately went to his side when he climbed onto the bed. "I'm not sure I believe that" She said, looking at him.

Astrid turned to face him the tears in her eyes “You got my wolf back Kain… I thought things were better and you abandoned me! you nearly pushed her away!! I nearly lost her again and it was all your fault!” She sniffled yelling at him at this point

Eric chuckled “you think I would drop you?” He gasped in fake hurt as he pulled her into his lap

Kain took a step back, his eyes dropping. "I know. There are no words that can fix what I broke with my actions. I can say sorry a million times but it won't mean anything if I can't back it up with actions" He wasn't going to be able to talk this one out. Seeing her so distressed, after watching her wolf get beat up this morning had pushed him over the edge. He took two steps forward, and wrapped his arms around her. Instead of painful embers, the sparks of their bond ran through him. He looked at her mark, it, it was healing. There was no true jagged cut through anymore.
--
She snuggled into his chest with a purr. "I don't think you'd drop me on the floor" She said with a grin. "Clearly you dropped me on the bed" She added with a laugh.

Astrid went to step away not willing to accept any more pain from him refusing to try but bumped into the cabinet. She flinched at his touch but the burn slowly turned back into the sparks she remembered. She just broke down into tears no longer able to emotionally hold back her feelings and sank to the floor.

Eric smirked “I’ll aim for a more gentle toss next time.” He just leaned his head down kissing her mark with a playful smile. Deciding he had gotten Kain far enough ahead in his work today’s things could be ignored.

Kain sank down to the floor with her. She had tried to step away but he'd managed to hold her. He pulled her into his chest, his hand running through her hair. His forehead leaned on the top of her head. The pain was gone. "I know, I'm sorry. I'll say it for as long as you want me to. Just let us, us have this moment." He said.
--
She looked at him and rolled her eyes. "Thanks" She said with a grin as he kissed her mark, making her purr.

Astrid just broke down in sobs as she literally curled into his chest looking as submissive as one could get but couldn’t get close enough to him. Clutching his shirt and holding on around his torso she shook from the intensity of the emotions
——

Eric smirked “you’re welcome.” He just settled back “I’m still waiting to hear what you want to do today?”

Kain held her tighter, his arms keeping her as close to his chest as possible. "Let it out love" He said, his hand still running through her hair. "I'm right here, and I don't plan on going anywhere for a really really long time" He said with a smile on his face, he had her back. He could hold her safely.
--
Jaylin looked at him and grinned. "Um, I'm not sure. I'm kinda enjoying this lazy day in bed" She said with a smile.

Astrid just lay there sobbing as he held her, curled in a tight ball in his lap. She was so upset and angry at him but at the same time he was back.

-

Eric chuckled “then lazy day in bed it is. Unless you come up with something later.”

Kain kept whispering 'I'm sorry, I love you' over and over again as he held her. He knew she was upset, he could feel the anger in their bond. The more they touched, the more it seemed to reinstate the feelings. He could get a sense of her wolf again through it.
-
Jaylin stretched before curling back into his side. "I'm pretty comfy here" She said with a small laugh.

Her wolf instantly perked up feeling back to fully strength finally as the bond was slowly strengthening back but the only thoughts coming through were that she was genuinely contemplating biting him. Astrid however was just shaking in tears, she had barely made it though this. While Kain hurt when he touched her she’d been in extreme pain and distress for months.

Eric chuckled “okay then..” he just held her close trying to wash away all his frustrations

Kain could feel a lot of what he'd put her through in basic form. Pain and distress. He'd been trying not to do that, and yet he'd done it anyway. He thought he was protecting her. He could sense that her wolf wanted to bite him. All the vampire could do was try and fix the damage he'd caused.
--
She could feel frustration through the bond. "Relax" She said, moving closer and kissed her mark on his neck.
