Kain opened the door to the cabin allowing Astrid inside before shutting the door, he headed to the bathroom for a towel and dried himself off before he dripped more water around. He then went and changed into dry clothes before going over to the couch and sitting down on it. He felt a yawn escape his mouth on accident. "Living room or bed?" He said out loud to her,

Jay was quite content in his lap, she moved closer to his chest and smiled. "That's okay." She said, having him hold her put her and her wolf more at ease in this weather. She loved listening to the rain drops but the sound of thunder and the flash of lightning was her biggest fear. Having his scent wrapped around her along with his arms was a big help.​

Astrid added into his room and jumped up on the bed with a purred making a few circles before settling on the right side leaving him room to climb in

Eric held her tightly just relaxing back against the pillows with a content hum “thank you for giving me a chance.” He mumbled staring outside like he was worried to look her in the eye.

Kain took the hint and followed right behind her. He smiled at her and got into the bed on the other side. He pulled the blankets over himself to warm up, listening to the rain fall on the roof. He rumbled to her as a form of good night. His eyes couldn't stay open anymore, the scent of his mate beside him, the excitement that the wolf had finally made it through and the thrill of touching his mate again had made him tired. His eyes closed shut as he sighed.

Jaylin had adjusted herself so she was more sideways on his lap, the side of her head on his chest. She looked up hearing his mumble but noticed he was looking outside instead. "I'm glad I did" She said softly. Jay brought up a hand and placed it on his cheek, "Look at me" She asked him.​

Her wolf drifted into a deep sleep, heavier than she had been in weeks and she clearly needed it. The rumbles of thunder lulling her deeper into sleep, but started at a loud crack of lightening. She jumped awake with pinned ears annoyed but climbed down nosing the window blinds open entire curling on the bed again.

Eric looked down at her, his eyes still held faintest bites of worry but lay his hand over hers just shifting so he was comfortable with a soft rumble.

Kain heard the lightning, and had opened his eyes when he felt the bed shift. He looked over to see what happened and once she was back on the bed settled, he felt himself drift back to sleep.

She looked him in the eyes with a soft smile when his hand covered hers. "What are you worried about now?" Her voice was gentle, sweet and she was concerned why he was worried. If there was one thing about Jay, she was too perceptive for her own good sometimes.​

Astrid lay watching the storm happily wagging her tail finally drifting back off once the storm died down and rested well into the morning.

Eric looked down at her with a soft hum just laying his hand on hers “just worried thoughts I shouldn’t have.”

Jay hummed. "Okay" She let it go for now, but she was concerned and would keep an eye on him. She wiggled down a second later, a yawn escaping her. "I think its time for bed" She said, looking up at him, waiting for him to join her laying down.​

Eric shifted and climbed into the covers pulling her into his chest with a hum “good night Jay.” He kissed the top of her head before drifting into a deep sleep

Jay cuddled into his chest and smiled, purring at the kiss. "Good night Eric" She said softly, before falling asleep herself.​

Astrid woke early the next morning and pounced on Kain before laying across his chest. Through the multiple layers of blankets she couldn’t feel the burn so she lay there happily. Her tail wagging hard enough she was creating a breeze.


Eric groaned shifting slightly not ready to wake but his stomach was growling

Kain woke up when something landed on him, before laying across him. He raised his head and saw Astrid. He smiled greeting her with a rumble. He could see how are her tail was wagging. "Good morning" He said with a laugh.

Jay felt herself waking up and yawned, pushing back into the chest of her mate as she stretched out. She wasn't quite ready to leave the bed or the warmth of Eric just yet.​

Astrid lay across him with a small bark just happily spawrled out over him. Her wolf looked ready for round two as she nosed the blankets

Eric nuzzled her neck with a playful rumble just holding her close to his chest. “Good morning dear.”

Kain sighed looking at her. "Let me guess, you wanna go for a run?" He asked, sliding himself up a little.

Jaylin smiled at the nuzzle and purred back. "Good morning babe" She said.​

Her wolf perked up her tail wagging harder if that was possible as she watched him. Her wolf wanted to let some stem out so they could cuddle. She jumped off him heading to the door and sat waiting patiently

Eric just smiled softly looking down at her with a grin and pulled her closer to his chest playfully. “Sleep alright?”

Kain crawled out of bed with a yawn and walked over to the door opening it for her. "I'll be out in a minute" He said, walking back to his closet and throwing a coat on, before sliding his shoes on and walked out the door, shutting it behind them. "After you" He said, pointing towards the trail with a smile.

Jaylin smiled as he pulled her closer and she wriggled, wanting to flip over to face him. "Like a baby" She said. "And you?"​

Astrid didn’t even wait for him just bounding out into the cool morning breeze. After thunderstorms were her favorite, the air was cold and breezy. She just happily went bolting around the trees having the time of her life.

Eric loosened his grip so she could flip to face him before wrapping her tighter and pulled her on top of him. He grinned mischievously “like a rock.” He laughed

Kain saw her weaving around the trees. He jogged down the main path, keeping his steps even so that he could keep an eye on her with a smile.

She yelped in surprise when she ended up laying on top of him. She looked down at him with playful smile. "Hmm, didn't know rocks slept" She said laughing.​

Astrid perked her ears catching wind of something before settling and just playfully running around. She was absolutely covered in mud again and clearly was going to need a shower

Eric grinned “this one does.” He held her with his arms crossed over her back “what I thought you want to roll over?” He teased playfully

Kain sighed with laughter as he saw how muddy she'd become again. Oh well, that's what the hose was for. He kept up the jog, watching her run around.

Jaylin shook her head with a laugh, "You're really getting your rocks off on this huh?" She asked, the pun was 100% intended. "I mean, I don't mind it, just didn't expect it" She said, dropping her head on his chest.​

Her wolf was busy and vanished into the trees as things became quiet but she returned with her chest covered in blood again and smelling like a rabbit. She’d clearly gotten herself an early breakfast

Eric grinned playfully “what I’m a funny guy and you made a punny. Though you wolves were really observant?” he teased “should have seen that coming.” He jsut held her though sighing in contentment as he took a deep breath against her neck.

Kain had froze when things went quiet before the scent of blood, rabbit and Astrid showed she'd been hunting. At least she was fed. He was definitely going to have to wash her now.

Jaylin heard him and rolled her eyes at him. "Why did I get paired with you" She muttered into his chest with a laugh. "Am I being punished with a joker for a mate" She couldn't help but teasing him.​

Astrid had already gone back to running through the forest until she finally seemed to be tiring and turned back towards the cabin

Eric paused until he realized she was joking, he clearly held some deep rooted fear she’d turn him down still. He pouted trying to hid it “hey! Everyone likes jokes!”

Kain had come back to the cabin a few minutes prior, getting the hose set for when Astrid came back.

Jay caught the pause and looked up. She saw the pout and moved her hand to his cheek before kissing his chin, then his cheek where her hand had been. "Normal jokes maybe" She laughed.​

Astrid came trotting up to him and sat in the grass waiting.

Eric was playing it off well or so he thought “hey sleeping like a rock is a good funny!” Grinning at her kisses he just pulled her closer again so desperately wanting to mark her and put his mind at ease even though they hadn’t been together that long.

Kain gave her a good bath, he'd grabbed rubber gloves from the bathroom and combined with the long sleeved jacket, he was able to scrub out the harder stuff and smiled, shutting off the hose. "All clean" He said with a grin.

Jaylin had been having similar thoughts all week. She hadn't even moved all her stuff in yet. She smiled as he pulled her closer, her wolf yearning to have her mark him and he marks them.​
