Aw, ahaha. Alyx will be like, ".... suuuuure? Yeah... it's... kinda like that? Except... a little different?" But she also does like Rose--he's a little odd and a bit rough around the edges and she's keeping Leo FAR away from him but... he's a good guy so. She's going to try to be helpful but also...

Honestly it's going to sound a lot like Rose trying to be helpful to Astrid. She'll try so hard but... maybe she has no idea what she's talking about xD And depending on how attached she gets to Rose, she might also grab Lanea by the front of his coat and drag him down to her eye level and be like, "but it you hurt him, Grigori, I will personally pull all your teeth out, you got that?" And it's a little like being threatened by a teeny tiny dragon, but she's not kidding.

The funny thing is that Maksim is so hellbent on believing that Astrid has duped Alyx into liking her that when she actually comes running in there all worried about Alyx, he's gonna be so confused. Like what do you mean your captain doesn't have you flogged in front of your fledglings when the prisoners escape????

Also, Alyx is going to pester Rose once she learns about their alliance because she's gonna want to know what Lanea said about her because he should have reported her as Very Scary and if he did not

Lanes actually specifically told Rose not hurt Alyx because she like... is a genuinely good person and doesn’t deserve to lose anything else, but he will DIE if Rose tells her that to her face because HE is also supposed to be super Scary and he doesn’t want people to know he’s a big softie. Except so many people already know.

Lanea will not ever say it but he DOES find Alyx very scary when she’s mad because he TOTALLY believes she will follow through with her threats.

Also I just. Want to wrap Maksim in a blanket and give him hot cocoa. Poor guy.

Alyx would be so ticked like don't go around telling people not to hurt me dang it I am fire I am death. But suddenly the reason for Rose's long-suffering glance her way when Alyx was like, "let's be mean as possible to get a reaction!" is clear because Lanea TOLD HIM. Also I feel like all the commanders are going to come back from the war and be like, "Remember that clan we hate, Mom? I met their kid--pretty nice guy, big softie" about like all the clans, lol.

Alyx totally will follow through with her threats as long as they're not stupid (like her threats to Leo that she would turn him into a floor rug or turn him inside out were entirely jokes) but she will DEFINITELY drain Hendryk dry if he touches Leo again.

Maksim is so used to people being Terrible that he pretty much assumes anyone who is not in Clan Draya is TRASH and is SHOCKED when they aren't. But don't worry! He covers! His emotional pain! With! Flirting! And! Suggestive jokes! And his and Alyx's rules for how they deal with each other in the military are hilarious because Maksim absolutely will rat Alyx out because she can take care of herself but Alyx has been lying to protect Maksim her entire life so yes admiral he was here the whole time that was me doing the treasonous thing all by myself I *will* submit to the correction of my captain, thank you.

Don't worry, Maksim is about to get Friends and after like an hour with Cyn he will be like, "I would die for him" and he'll have so much fun messing with everyone involved he may actually leave Alyx alone for like five seconds. And he might end up attached to Crane like, "is this a good male role model because???"

When Rose finds out that Maksim’s brothers are terrible he’s just going to be like ‘ok cool anyways I’m your brother now they don’t matter’.

Suddenly all these people who are ENEMIES have declared themselves his Family???? What is this he dOeS nOt TrUsT iT

Rose WILL try to stab your brothers for you Maksim don’t worry. Lanea just pats him on the back like ‘yeah that family’s just like that you gotta get used to it’.

Maksim turns up home with Rose and Lanea behind him and is like, "They are my big brothers now and they don't like the way you've treated me"

And Sebastian and Dominik will try to run because those two are HUGE but Alyx trips them like "oops"

And then Crane takes them both out with his shovel before anyone else can do anything

But Rose and Lanea are going to regret adopting him because one day he's going to pull up a chair and be like, "okay so I need some advice" and NEITHER of them should be giving advice on any of the things Maksim wants advice on

ALSO I was originally going to have Maksim casually be like "my betrothed" or something in front of Astrid but then I realized it would be WAY FUNNIER if he realizes Alyx hasn't told her who she's engaged to and makes a game out of seeing how obvious he can be before Astrid figures it out.

He might even try to help her figure it out like, "okay, well, what do you know about the fiancé so far?"

"Well, Alyx says he's smart when he wants to be"

"Fair, fair."

"And she thinks he's cute"

"I DID NOT SAY THAT"

"He is pretty cute, yeah, I agree. I would date him. What else?"

"Well, his family's trash."

"Accurate."

And at the end Maksim has just described himself perfectly but Astrid KNOWS it's not Maksim, so he's grinning from ear to ear while Astrid's like, "Well, I guess it's obviously not Gustav..."

I can just imagine Astrid being like ‘OH I GOT IT it’s Lanea!’ And Lanea chokes on his drink while Rose stares at the back of his head.

Maksim just casually takes a sip of his tea and is like, "mmm, I don't think Lanea is into short people."

And now he's got a little water in his lungs and Astrid is patting him on his back like, "Did you choke on your tea?"

He argues very firmly that it is NOT being choked it’s the person who is choking him that he likes! He’s a normal guy with completely normal interests! Aside from the torture thing.

OK SO I feel like we have a few big options here that we can go in and they all have the potential to be Fun so here's my ideas.

Lanea could get Gigi, Frederick and Maksim to leave, possibly taking Alyx with them, before Lucia and her gang show up. Then we could do a split situation where Rose, Astrid, Cyn and Leo have to get them back while Lanea works on the inside to get her free (for good this time) while trying not to alert the bad guys.

OR Lucia could show up and we could have the Eldergaardians detained or something.

OR the Eldergaardian group could escape with the princess and possibly Alyx and then the others could catch up to them before they make it back in the air.

Whichever one you guys wanna go with is cool with me! The second and third options allow everyone to stay together.

I was honestly waffling on what we would do if Lucia turned up because it works great for Astrid's plans but not for our ultimate goal of these disasters ending up on the same team

BUT WE TAKE THEM OUT and it solves all our problems, lol. Plus you know I love rescues

I kinda like 1 or 3 ^.^
