Thanks. I know that site exists, but haven't thought about it in a long time. I was pretty much looking up how it works in D&D to figure out how it might work with my characters.
Yeah I kinda figured that's what you where doing lol but remember there is no range limits if you use shocking grasp there's nothing stopping you form aiming that electricity in your hands outward like force lighting and there's no need to maintain concentration or long cast times to slow you down unless you want to place that kind of limitation on yourself and most of all there is no rules lawyers to say create water can't manifest water in your target lungs cos it ends the encounter to quickly so all in all far less restrictions and way more leeway when using your power allowing you to be way more powerful I mean honestly dnd limits and nerfs every power, magic, monster and God so much in the name of balance

Makes sense. I'm using D&D more as a starting point to get a rough idea of things. My main concern is staying consistent with what I've already established.

Well that's not really a problem some of the teachers can use time magic including time dilation so if needed you could spend a few hours training in your free time and get a few week worth of practice in this allows you/ your characters to learn as fast as you want/ gm allows we use this option literally to help people who unknowingly limited themselves and wanted/ needed a way to break those limits and if you don't want to get to op during that time you either limits the training time to a set amount that wouldn't give you enough time to get to op or have them use that time to learn/ master certin subject or ability your power granted this technically could be argued to be an inefficient use of training time if you chose to master bard magic over learning creation magic though illusions but you decide what and how your character learns/ progresses

There are other none time related options for smaller pay off's as well the time dilation is just a in case of emergency type situation lol

Oh but do bare in mind no auto hitting like feel free to fill my lungs with water as long as you don't say I drowned instantly like how Quibbles turned my guy to stone but I could still reverse it I mean it's technically better to end your post with you attempting to fill lungs with water or turn someone to stone rather then have the spell instantly hit the target and have then reverse the effects but to be fair I auto hit his stuffed animals because I forgot it was technically alive 😬😅🤦‍♂️😂
