Alyx is actually Very Annoyed because she was so prepared to make fun of Gigi's speech but it was a Good Speech.

Also if Rose does not want to go back inside to meet up with the others, just ignore that part about them going back into the mountain.

Part of me REALLY wants Maksim just to waltz out behind them and go, "Oh, Lanea, why you gotta be so damn scary all the time."

Alyx will jump Maksim the second she sees him because obviously he could just point at Astrid and be like, "Yeah, she's Leon's kid so" and she is already STRESSED ENOUGH. She will regret it, however, because Maksim is 100% going to use that to be annoying.

Astrid is going to be so confused because she's used to Lanea being all collected and intimidating and Maksim being a snobbish rule-abiding jerk but it turns out they are not those things

You would think that she would have figured it out once she realized Alyx was not the heartless ice queen she thought she was but Astrid continues to be surprised by these vampire commanders

Also, did we want Maksim to leave Fredrick somewhere so that he can get updated by Alyx and Leo before he drops the bomb on Gigi or do we want them sipping tea in the garden for when the crew all walk in so everyone can be shocked at the same time but for different reasons.

Rose and Lanea WILL fight. Because they have to keep up appearances. And that means absolutely WAILING on each other until Astrid is clear. They won’t kill each other but Rose was not kidding when he thought Lanea would break his legs lmao.

The SECOND Astrid is gone and they’re like safely alone Lan’s gonna alternate between getting SO MAD because WHY ARE YOU HERE and also fussing over him because ‘WHO BIT YOU WHAT HAPPENED WHERES YOUR ARM?!?!?!’

She’s leading him back to where he’s outnumbered and he can’t attack guests!! How was she supposed to know Maksim and one of his fledglings were there already???

Crane just walks in and is like “wot in tarnation” definitely don’t have to but yes. I can see it.

If you did want Astrid to ditch Rose, I could have her realize that the admiral also sent Maksim. She might bet on Rose taking Lanea, but she’s thinking Alyx might not be able to fight anyone in the condition she’s in.

I really have no particular agenda and am up for whatever, but of course a fight sounds fun!

also un/fortunately crane has way less control of his magic than delilah (it really only comes out as a reflex if his life is in danger, so its no good for an offensive attack) which means he's gonna come out swinging at a commander with a shovel or something

Also I do think it would be funnier for Astrid to stick around because Rose and Lanea are gonna be PANICKING ON THE INSIDE because they have to make this look GOOD because this is the SUPREME GENERALS daughter!!!! But also they don’t actually want to like. Hurt each other lol:

But it's also HILARIOUS because Astrid's fairly observant, but she doesn't always make the right connections so she's going to be like, "Dang, both of them seem really nervous. Rose must be wary of Grigori because he's a vampire commander, and Grigori must be able to tell that Rose is not to be messed with--maybe it's how he smells or something."

Should we have Maksim and Fredrick sipping tea in the garden, then? Because that is 100% the sort of thing that Drama Queen would do.

also for other people seeing fredrick- they look enough alike that if you were told they were siblings you'd be like 'yeah that makes sense' and if you saw them with all their cousins youd be like 'these two are more related to each other than to these others' but they aren't like 'oh wow these two are siblings'. Gigi and Lucille do look a lot alike tho, much to the annoyance of both

(they might actually have different mothers? i havent decided yet but 11 kids is a LOT for one woman.... so maybe Theo/millie/isadora/unnamed/freddys mom died and the new queen is the mother of lucille/gigi/diedasakid/thetwins/babyhenry? i should decide)

the reason crane and delilah look so much alike is because my initial idea was that they were identical twins, so its just a shout out to the original concept
