I just feel so bad for Astrid because Rose, as much as he wants to help and is on board with helping, is TERRIBLE at this.

He is TRYING but Astrid just has such a strong moral code. Alyx finds her moral code both endearing and frustrating. Because if she had had it her way, she would have fed the princess and her crew to her vampires, but Astrid had to go and offer them safety and KEEP HER PROMISE GAH

Rose is just like... he has seen so much shit at this point. He is so jaded. He has a moral code but it is... weird and messed up lol. At this point he’s just like ‘you need to do what you Need to do to get what you want’ which in his case is... killing people to try and end the war and bring about a revolution in his country so people can be safe and happy.

He just needs a therapist and a cup of tea and some proper civil rights.

Astrid's probably going to include Rose, Cyn, and Leo in this spa trip she's planning to take Alyx on. Maybe Crane because he did "die". And maybe Gigi if she can get off her high horse long enough to get in the hot springs. Alyx, however, is dreading this spa trip because it involves strangers touching her and showing way more of her skin than she has ever wanted to show. But! She doesn't have a choice! It's for her own good! Astrid will make sure she relaxes!

Gigi's response would be 'always act in the name of the greater good' (to be determined by her, of course) and if told there may not be a greater good or at least not one that Astrid can quantify, she'd hit her with the ol 'that sounds like a personal problem'

also to clarify, researcher ranks aren't exclusive- there are multiple people who can be a 'first researcher' of a certain institute if that makes sense?

it has to do with how many papers you've published or patents you've gotten for your work at that institute

Alyx was tempted to pull Leo over to Lucia to make her introduce them to Gigi, but Alyx decided to not be that smug about being present.

Also Alyx was secretly hoping Cyn would just sit next to Leo without thinking so she could smirk at Gigi for her entire speech.

Cyn MIGHT have but he is actually worried about Gigi and wants to make sure she feels properly Supported.

Cyn just truly, genuinely wants to be friends with everybody here even though he knows he’s not SUPPOSED TO

So I promise I have been brainstorming things for Gigi to be researching, and I was thinking something they could do is come up with a way (like a gas or something, Idk) to knock all the vampires unconscious during a battle. Combine that with the magic-screwing tech that the Nighthalk had, and it could knock out the heavy-hitters of an attacking force.

And while that might not seem super helpful now, it might be helpful later depending on what sort of havoc our agents of chaos decide to wreak.
