Fantasy Those who came before

"How brave," Henry said sarcastically,"if I did poison these though, I would've already used the antidote. I'm also confident in my skills as a fighter, I've survived against many odds after all."

When were they going to reach the end of this road trip though. He sighed loudly knowing that it was very possible that Leo had finally appeared with the transcript. Soon, one of those servants will send a telepathic message or however they decide to contact him, and he'll be denied of the potential money.

"So, Castle, you're a bounty hunter. I'm surprised I don't know you since I've been in this sellsword occupation for so long. Eleven years to be exact. I normally know others that delve into hits, assassinations, and similar activities but you're drawing quite a blank."

(It's not bad at all but I only played halfway until I thought it was getting too difficult for me lol. I didn't really sold it but just gave it to one of my friends. Now I'm just waiting for Final Fantasy XV cuz I already pre ordered it :P IMO, I prefer Bloodborne and completed the game already xD . @FadeAway )

Castle rolled her eyes, "You honestly think that I would travel around the country without certain antidotes in my inventory? Besides, I use poison too. I probably built up a certain amount of immunity to some of the potent ones." An eye for an eye, she did start the tension of the atmosphere so for now, she won't complain about the hostile presence.

"Hmm. The reason behind that may perhaps be that I don't usually take up jobs that require me to fight in large groups or anything, nothing that calls for the use of a blade too large to be kept within my sleeves. The only blades I use in my profession are my needles. My abilities also allow me to take the necessary precautionary measures in order to ensure that I won't run into anyone else during the job. I only make myself known to clients and perhaps some close acquaintances." She glanced at the hilt of her concealed blade that was secured beneath her right hand's sleeve and smirked, "That was a mouthful. If you want the gist of it: You can see a shadow but you cannot grasp it."

Ahh I'm not too caught up in the Souls series but since my brother bought it, I tried it out. I suck at it and I honestly don't see why I would want to rage over bosses I can no longer defeat xD

(So true! I can't believe some players could defeat them lol.)

Leo

"Yes, in, deed sir." I said drawing it out so you could focus your attention back at me. "Shall you be attending my party a few evening from now? It would be such a bore if a man like you doesn't show up" I smile twirling around the manuscript and bowing again, throwing the invite like you as if it were a ninja star.

Jack

I watch as you two eat the candys, "More for me I guess." I shrug and pop one into my mouth. I felt drowsy from being around all of these people, but I did not trust a single one of them if I decided to lay down for a short nap, "Oh the struggle." I yawned, not talking to anyone in particular.

Thagnarok, the Grandmaster

If Thagnarok had a face, he would have raised an eyebrow. But of course, his 'face' is a cold, purple glowing helm that no one could decipher. Maybe not even himself. "Mayhap. I'll think about it." He spoke before the piece of manuscript that is folded into a scroll vanished from Leo's possession and into Thagnarok hands.

"You have done well in retrieving the manuscript. I know not for what reason you were late. But if you intend on being late next time, I suggest you give the item to one of our human agents so they may help return it." He spoke solemnly before moving away back into the throne room.

As he made his way back to the throne, he had a quick glance of the manuscript. On the manuscript, he found a piece that was most interesting.

Summoning an ancient demon lord.

((I don't know what I'm suppose to do with a cart full of others waiting to get to the capital. Ahem, are we there yet? xD ))

Parant shrugged and a looked around

"This castle is awfully dreaded how do you spend so much time her thagnarok?"

he sighed at looked back into the forest

"finding some more troops would be fun..."

he said this as he waved his hand and the forty new skeletal henchmen marched into a small ravine that parant had stored his undead servants over the years

Leo

Leo smiled as you walked away and looked at the manuscript, he took a few steps out of the way now trying to go unnoticed from your views. Although his blond hair and pale skin would make the elf stick out in the shade it was actually very effective.

Leo had to plan for his party, especially for the final show. It will be quite the blast.

(( Once everyone gets to civilization they shall receive and invitation to the party, it's catered to each others taste

(( How about we start off by arriving at the gates? @EuclidAmarok ))

Castle glanced by the sides of the cart and smirked as the familiarity of the scenery gushed into her memory. "Good news, we have arrived at our destination!" She stood up and stretched her arms, humming a tune of joy and relief as she fixed her needle holsters and her hidden blade underneath her cloak.

I opened my eyes to the sound of the carriage stopping and the sound of civilian chatter, "Ah, here already? That was quick." I stated as I hopped out of the carriage now wearing a cloak that covered my wings. I looked around and gazed back into the carriage seeing most just sitting and waiting or hopping out to get to their destination, "Say, why don't I treat you all to a drink. So we can toast to a safe journey." I had enjoyed my time here with all of the strange characters, even though most just argued and bickered. I wanted to see them all once last time before I go off on my own.

Henry woke from his light doze at Castle's announcement. Lifting his head up, he was quickly blinded by the sun. Blinking the light away as he hopped out of the carriage along with the others, he took in the sight of the large city. Fresh food would be a nice change of pace compared to the dried fruits and meats. Hearing Jack speak of drinking, Henry responded,"Don't drink, it's dangerous for me to do so. Now, food I will take if you're buying. In the end, I didn't seem to mind all of your company too much. Another hour or two won't hurt."

Amellios raised his head and realized they had stopped, he jumped out of the carriage he spun his staff it glowing in the process, a golden cloak formed and he put it on "So where to my friends" he looked at them while putting his staff back in it's holster

"Food sounds just perfect, I've been starving for a good two days and I would really like to eat." I agreed to the topic of food while nodding my head, "Of course I shall pay, it would be rude not to since I am the one that brought it up. I know the perfect bar we can stop at, it has the best beer and the best meat." I smiled happily ignoring my stomach growling in agony, I had to do a really long mission before I got here so getting wasted and full in a tavern didn't sound too bad about now.

@EuclidAmarok

Naomi felt a rush of anxiety as they reached the entrance to the city. Luckily, she was decent at using a poker face to mask her fear. She hadn't realized how easy it would be for someone to at the least, vaguely recognize her, and she hadn't thought about how she could get away from the city again. Hearing the conversation about food, she realized that was a bit hungry herself and that it would be best for her to get off the street as soon as possible. "It depends on where it is," she stated. "There are some people here I don't want to deal with."

@Jack of Cloves

"Alright," Castle responded as she stretched, "I might be able to find some decent clients in there so I'm up to it. Perhaps you lot can be part of my friend roster or something. I'll have to inspect that aspect further." She chuckled as she looked towards the different routes of the city before looking back at the lot.

"Who is it that you're avoiding in particular, Nat?" She looked over her shoulder and the young looking one of the bunch.

@RazingCatfish @Jack of Cloves @EuclidAmarok @FrostXShadow

"Getting wasted sounds... unpleasant. All on one's own though. Never did like the taste anyways." Henry said to Jack. His eyes glistened with interest though since his stomach has been complaining about his hunger too,"Still, good food? I must see where you plan on dragging us."

Hearing Castle speak soon after, he said,"Friend rosters huh... that's definitely a new twist. I'll be needing clients too, but don't worry, my line of work seems to be different from yours." He muttered quietly to himself afterwards,"I hope my current employer doesn't recall me too soon though, that'll be a pain."

Looking at Jack expectantly, he announced,"Why don't we get moving then. It seems most of us has come to an agreement."

@Jack of Cloves @RazingCatfish @FadeAway @FrostXShadow

"For the first time, I do agree with you. Nobles are a pain especially in the bounty hunting occupation. I've met some who have tried to shut down the client system," she rubbed the back of her neck. After that she glanced over to Henry and let out a sly chuckle, "If that's the case then we shouldn't worry about having competition then huh? Although it would be interesting whether someone would be willing to hire either you or I."

@RazingCatfish @EuclidAmarok

"Right, I don't have a reputation in this area. I was going to start small, but let's see if either of us can get a big job. I wouldn't mind lending a hand if I can't find one though for a small slice, my last pay's been running out. I'm skilled with the sword though and a powerful mage in my own right." Henry replied, a slight tilt at the edge of his lips at the thought of being penniless. "If not, that's fine. I'll go along with my original plan of doing small tasks first."
