Fantasy The Underground

As he lay on the metal deck with shouting voices and the giant trash can man looked on he chuckled to himself and played with a bell on his hat. As men poured in shouting at him and wondering what to do he saw the trash can man doing what he could only assume was stare at him. He chuckled "Oh pretty boy do tell, is that old yeller looking whelp going to pull through or not?" he chuckled as the heap of metal tensed at his words. "Don't worry" he said faking tears "Give it to me straight doc I can take it" With that he was hoisted from the ground and carried off to a large solid metal storage room with thick steel walls and placed in a chair.

Soon chains were brought in and he was chained to the chair completely. The men left him for some time to regain order on the ship and search for possible accomplices. Shouting was heard from outside the doors for quite some time and then hushed whispers. The large door swung open to reveal a rather unimpressionable man in the later years of his life. Though when he opened the door he found the killer hanging in what appeared to be a hammock made with the very chains he had been tied down in.

The man who could only be the Captain stopped for a second and rocked back towards the door but then strode to the middle of the room. "I am sure asking you why you are here, who sent you, and what the hell kind of man you even are would be useless, correct?" Shaco spun in his chains prepared to entice this gentleman and now found himself hanging by his feet upside down from the chains so that his face was only inches from the mans own.

The inhumanly large grin of the assassins face sat naught but inches from the captains mouth as he began to talk. His high pitched voice rather than being annoying or embarrassing actually came across terrifyingly sinister. "I was here to play tag with the blonde brat sirrrr that is all so if i could just be on my way you can all go back to trying to find treasure island, or booty, or whatever it is you do" The captain felt is anger swelling at this man, if it even was one, his face alone was too distorted to be human wasn't it? He checked his temper as he replied "Why would you kill Aren? What could he have possibly done to deserve this?" The being before him cackled maniacally as he grinned revealing his teeth that somehow were more than an inch long. "Well of course he did something! I can assure you I have no idea what but I had to give him a pat on the back for whatever it was." He paused grinning. "Figuratively speaking that is" he cooed. "What you must understand my water friend is that I just do what the man says and have a blast doing it, nothing more than that"

The captain thought this might be his key to some real information, although as this man talked he realized that his mental state might make real information impossible. "What man tells you what to do?" he asked calmly and listened intently. Shaco reeled back from the mans face back up into his chains and sat with his legs dangling over the edge of his makeshift nest. He looked utterly taken aback at what the captain had just said.He let out a groan "Well the man with the hat of course, who did you think I was talking about" he leaned back in his chains. "The man tells me go on the seacar, find the blonde brat, and give him a tickle. So I find the seacar, I play hide and seek for awhile and watch the fish play in the water for a few days or whatever, feed the brat his apple and then I'm here talking to you" he looked back at the captain as he finished his sentence.

Just as the captain opened his mouth to reply a thunderous tremor moved through the ship. The captain grinned a little. "You have really upset Nautilus you know." Shaco looked confused for a moment until he made the connection and a grin flashed across his face. "Oh you mean the garbage can man, Yes I'm not sure if he is more upset that I bopped his friend or that he broke my friend when he hugged him" he swung himself down hanging by his hands now. "If he is sad about my friend breaking tell him not to worry I can always make more"

The captain opened his mouth to say something and quickly closing it realizing that his efforts were in vain, even if this killer wanted to tell him he wasn't sure the thing even knew how to do so in a way anyone but himself would understand. He shook his head and turned and left the room. Sealing the psychotic thing in behind him. Yet as the last few inches of the door swung shut he could hear the faintest spine tingling chuckles coming from inside the hold.

Lucas continued to fiddle in his draw, unaware of the activities that going on in his shop until he looked up with a smile at the young man in his shop. The smile slowly transformed into a expressionless glare as Lucas put the key back in his desk and set the small box down. He stood up straight and pulled at his blood stained apron a bit before placing his hands behind his back and fixing his eyes on the young man.

His gaze swept across the room back and forth examining the now empty shelves and opened containers. As he observed he took slow, methodical steps making his boots clack against the hard wood floors. "Young man.....it is very unwise to steal from people. It is just plain ignorant to steal from someone who is standing right before you. And it is just plain moronic, to steal from me."

As Lucas spoke, he stepped closer and closer to the young man. The hands behind his back began to wave, as a dark purplish orb appeared out of thin air and hovered just above his finger tips. Finally Lucas was glaring down at the man, only inches away from him. "Now I will give you one chance, and one chance only...." Lucas's hands were as quick as vipers as on raised itself high towards the ceiling, causing a dark mass that had been accumulating around the boys legs to raise up and envelop the young man and begin to squeeze him like a tightly wound blanket. While the other holding the orb he raised to the young mans face as it began to pulse with energy. Lucas's stern expression changed to anger and rage as he bore hole into the young mans eyes with his own. "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SHOP!!"

Lucas's shop was the one thing the he did not allow people to mess with. There were things, even on the shelves, that we more powerful and dangerous than simpletons in the underground could comprehend, and many of them had just disappeared off the shelves.

Black glanced around Penelope after he spoke and watched as the car began to rock a bit. He chuckled as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his box of smokes. He popped on out of the box as he walked around Conner and rested it between his lips as he came around the side of the car where the door seemed to be slowly opening. Black watched as a man dressed a bit more properly and covered in blood tried to get the other inside the car to get the move on. Black flipped out his Zippo and lit his cigarette, causing the lid to the lighter to make a metallic pop as he inhaled. Black put a hand on the top of the door and pulled it shut as he placed a boot on the mans back and shoved him to the ground. He looked over the man, taking note of the dried blood around his neck and his stupor before glancing back at Penelope and Conner. "It would seem that your quarry is attempting to get away ma'am." Black reached down and grabbed the man by his collar and thrust him back wards against the wall. Black was not extra strong, just a typical mans strength, but this man didn't seem to rightly have his barrings which made it a bit easier. Black looked over the man he had gripped by the collar and exhaled a cloud of smoke at him."I sure as hell hope your not another vampire. I've had just about enough of Vampires for one evening."

He should have listened to Alex and stayed put...Sisceal was helpless as he was picked up and shoved against a wall for his escape attempt. Only able to shoot the man a weak glare before coughing and sputtering from the smoke blown in his face. "I'm not...I'm no vampire." He strained as he struggled against the man's grip. "L..let us go you...crazy. We just want to go home."

@zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Beowulf @Aridis

"Yeah? Don't everybody." Connor said, reaching in and grabbing the other "passenger", unknowingly tethering himself to the wraith (if I understand the shadow walking ability correctly). With a firm hold of the man, he drags him out of the car. He to wasn't especially strong, but people slide rather well across just about anything. "So, where you want 'em?" he asked, adjusting his bags with his free hand.

@zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Axel1313 @Aridis

"I-it wasn't me..!" the redhead exclaimed in shock, eyes wide as the strange darkness began to constrict his body. "I didn't do it!" He was innocent! There was no way he would've when trying to physically purchase some of Lucas' wares; of course, the man had no way of knowing that, and at the moment he couldn't speak to him when he was so enraged. But what could he do to get the man to actually listen? Surely he couldn't fight, couldn't break free - the only way he could manage to fight anyways would most likely destroy the entire shop and he didn't want to do that.

Shion struggled, squeezing a sky blue eye shut and hissing in a breath as the constriction increased. However, as it actually began to hurt, a small, thin trail of light blue electricity arced by his closed eye and temple, crackling as it snapped out. "I swear..!" the boy shouted again, "It wasn't me, I didn't do it! Where would I put half a story anyways?!" The last statement sounded like attitude, but Shion wanted to at least through the point out in the air.

As soon as Connor crossed his arms Penelope lowered her knife, sticking it into a sheath in her jacket. Following Black and Connor over to her car. "Now now boys, let's be gentle with the cargo. Especially this one," She patted Sisceal's head "He's just a human like us, however he could have some important information."

Then moved over Alex's body on the ground and shut her car door, locking it once again. Then standing over Alex her dull chocolate eyes scanned him once more before looking back up at Connor. "
You know I feel kind of embarrassed that I didn't realize he was a wraith beforehand. I wonder what Finny would say if he knew I made that mistake." Though nothing about her alien demeanor agreed with her statement. Turning away from the two pairs of men, Penelope strode off into the direction of her apartment building entrance expecting Connor and Black to follow. "We're heading in and upstairs. Normal everyday people live here so help those two up on their feet and assist them in walking." She paused to look back at Alex and Sisceal uncovered eye glaring at each of them. "And if you two don't comply, I'm not afraid to let the jockey with the bags have a little fun." With that Penelope headed inside the building waiting by the elevator for the rest of the group.

Black smiled as the man pleaded to him about going home. Black took another breath from his cigarette and blew the accompanying smoke to the side this time instead of right in the man's face. his hand still gripping the collar, he placed the other on the side of his head and pushed it way from the dried blood. Black new a vampire bite when he saw one, but what he didn't know was the circle around the bite marks that looked like runes of some sort.

He turned around to see Connor taking the seconds and stopped to listen to Penelope's instruction's. He smiled as he looked back at the man, "Just a human huh? We'll it must be your very unlucky day my friend." He released the mans collar and began to dust him off a bit and straighten his cloths. As he finished, Black reached into his coat and produced his snub nose pistol. He grabbed the mans shoulder and spun him towards the direction Penelope walked, pressing the gun into his back as they walked.

As they made their way to the elevator, Black kept an eye out for civi's, and not seeing any he piped up. "Miss Vasile, I am not a murderer. I hunt monsters for this little club, and I sleep at piece at night. We get what we want from our fellow here, then we wipe his mind and he goes. The wraith we can let Connor have when we are done."

Lucas's eyes were trained on the young man he had before him with an edge of death to them. He watched the young man try to explain himself and the little spark of electricity would have perked his interest if Lucas was not furious. He looked away from the boy and around the shop for a moment "You exspect me to believe, that you were just stand there and my shop just disappeared around you? You didn't see a thing? Magic exists young man, but even that would leave a trace....."

Lucas trailed off as he continued to look over the shop. He took a step back and let the orb of purple energy dissipate, while also lowering his other hand to let the boy down. He did not remove the shadowy grip completely, leaving a bit around his ankles so that he could not go anywhere. Lucas walked over to the door he had been in before while removing his apron. He was only gone for a moment before another voice could be heard. "OY, wat you be doin leavin me in dis er' room all alone, eh? Not a great way to be getting on meh good side der boyo!" Lucas came back into view holding Jimbo by the string drilled into his shrunken head. The skull was looking at Lucas with its sunken eye sockets until the boy cam into view. "Eh der, young boyo. What ya got....goin....on....der......GOOD LORD DER LAFLUER, dis here been a robbery!!" Lucas looked very unamused as he approached the boy again. This time he was a bit further from him as he held Jimbo out the rest of the distance. "Jimbo.....what do you smell." The shrunken head looked from Lucas to the boy and then made a look like he would shrug his shoulders if he had them. There was a rasping noise that began to come from the heads face where his nose was. It was a bit of an inhuman breath, but then again Jimbo wasn't exactly human anymore. After a moment, a deep blue glow began to spark in Jimbos empty eye sockets, his voice becoming a bit more and darker and a devilish smile creeped across his face. "Fairy's..."

Lucas sighed as he lowered Jimbo and looked over the boy. He walked back to his desk and hung Jimbo on his hook before grabbing his hat and cane and walking back towards the front door. "Lafluer! You bring dat Fairy to me. Ol' Jimbo know wat to do wit a fairy." The skull began to cackle as Lucas lowered the shadows off the young man and grabbed him by the arm to leave the shop. "Félicitations Roussue, You let a fairy into my shop. And now, your going to help me catch him."

Shit shit shit. Why? Of all things...

He couldn't exactly escape, for multiple reasons. One, that would require leaving behind his new drunken buddy; which was less of an option than it probably should have been. Two, he was too out of it to actually disappear into the shadows; and that took a considerable amount of concentration if he hadn't consumed any souls recently. Which, fortunately and unfortunately, he hadn't. God knew how easy this entire thing would be if he had filled up prior to meeting these freaks. And thirdly, even if he could use the shadows, a certain trigger happy someone was kinda latched onto him. So, it would basically make the entire thing pointless if he had one of his pursuers be a passenger. And it wasn't that easily to shake someone off in the shadow realm either. When touching, they were practically melted into each other until they returned to the light.

His first chance would come when he wasn't physically touching anyone. Except for maybe Sisceal; then they would both be fine. But, that "chance" also kind of came with the requirement that it had to be dark. Ish. At least enough so that a solid shadow could be formed. For now, all he could do was deny and keep his mouth shut about everything else. Deny what he was, deny any knowledge of the Underground, deny any knowledge of others... And hope that Sisceal would do the same.

"Not a Wraith..." He murmured tiredly.

@rosamortelle @Beowulf @zCrookedz @Axel1313

"That's just a...tattoo." Sisceal grumbled groggily as he was inspected and turned around. He could feel a gun jabbing right into his back as he stumbled forward unwillingly. "A drunken mistake... And my friend here was only helping me get home safely after it." He protested. Fighting the man's grip. "We don't know anything so let us go!"

@zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Beowulf @Aridis

When the majority of his body had been released, he had just barely got back his panicked breath. When the skull gave his verdict, he just barely succeeded in calming his racing heart.

But soon he was being pulled along, stumbling as he tried to regain his footing. "Catch it?" Shion repeated in question, "How? I can't exactly stop a small creature.." Without possibly eradicating an entire street of small buildings, he thought, but kept the comment to himself. Even if he could be the human railgun he was destined to be and focus on a tiny speck: one, it would kill it, two, he would most likely lose one of his few remaining coins, and three, well, again with the whole eradication thing.

Nonetheless the redhead felt guilty for letting a thief get away with half of a shop; but what can you do when you're almost as thick skulled as a human, amirite?

@zCrookedz

"Then let's be general." Connor said. "You're a fae. We'll figure out the specifics later." He was in a considerably happier mood since Black had said he could have this fae. Oh, he was going to have so much fun with him. And it would be just another trophy to add to hus collection in the end. But first, he had to get the thing the miss Vasile's room. Shouldn't be to much if a problem.

"Hey Sugarplum, I see you brought some friends over." Penelope silently cursed herself punching the up arrow on the elevator with a little more force than necessary. Looking up towards the lobby desk, Penelope put on a crooked smile. A very old woman with thick grey curls for hair and a bright colored flower-patterned dress looked at her returning the smile with a sweeter one. "Ms. McArthur what a um, wonderful surprise. I thought you were still on vacation until next Tuesday."

Penelope listened to the elevator open and beckoned with hand behind her back for Connor and Agent Black to go on in. "
Well you know how much I love seein' all of you. Anywho looks to me like you finally got to that dinner party you said you were planning." Ms. McArthur chuckled. "Uh yeah. Nothing ever slips past you. I should get going now though don't want the uh food to get cold." Penelope said, trying to end the conversation. "Right of course, you go have fun now sugarplum...Oh! And one more thing tell Finny-dear I said hi." With a nod and not saying anything else, Penelope rushed into the elevator just as the doors closed, pressing the floor 5 button in the process. Leaning against the door her gaze remained on the captains as the run down elevator made its slow journey up.

Eventually the elevator door opened once again and Penelope made sure to look before stepping out. Walking a few doors down and passing the welded of entrance to Penelope's 'spare apartment' the crew finally made it to her place. Jabbing the key into the door, Penelope entered the dark living room space, slipping her jacket off and tossing it on the love seat still surrounded by candles. Lifting the picture of Finnick from the couch she gave it a quick peck, forgetting about the group with her still. "
Hello my love, I brought those gifts I promised you."

With a yell Nautilus slammed his fists into a wall near him, it hurt him know that the young boys killer is still alive and cackling like a mad man in the brig. He felt so helpless, he had given the dead man his vow to avenge him, and now the captains orders were to stand down. It was so frustrating to be one deck away from him but not able to touch him, he might as well be at the bottom of the ocean. The clown man didn't seem all there in his head though, Nautilus thought. " I guess ill have to wait for the captain to come talk to me for me to get the whole story." Nautilus said as he sighed deeply.

As the night crept in Shaco ceased his swinging from the ceiling and moved near the door and pressed right up against it. He could here two voices speaking on the other side of the heap of metal. He concentrated and teleported to the other side of the door instantly becoming invisible. He saw the two men leaning against the wall on one side of the door. He knew he had to act quickly before his invisibility wore off. He quickly jumped and grabbed on to the heavy steel I-Beams running the length of the ceiling and lifted himself up on top before silently working his way towards the only way he knew of to get to the deck of the ship. It did not take long for him to be back in the fresh night air. He found himself a nice quite spot near some life rafts and sat cross legged at the edge of the ship watching the water. After a length of time in silence he began arguing with himself in hushed tones as the wind whipped around him.

(Naut will be writing some dialogue of mine in his next post we collaborated on it he inst controlling my character.)

It had gotten dark and only Nautilus was up, ever vigilant patrolling the deck his trusty anchor on his shoulder. As he was trudging along the top deck he thought about the mission he was sent on. it was simple enough, protect any humans from these creatures of some underworld. Nautilus could do the first part easily, but he wondered whether he was on the right side of this war. The Order seemed like a good cause so far, he had respect, a job, and, well, no friends, but a purpose to live. He was so deep in thought he almost didn't hear the rapid whispering angry sounds coming from the starboard side of the bow. He immediately became suspicious and crouched, that clown had fooled him once and he was damned sure not going to do it again. he tried to make his way over to the life rafts as quietly as he could so as to not disturb the rapid conversation. He closed the twenty feet between them relatively quick. As he neared, he noticed it wasn't two people talking, it was the clown talking to himself. He made it just in time to hear the end of a sentence. ".....well yess of course you talk to yourself! Who else would you talk to?" The voice paused shortly before beginning again. "Of course, not you kill everyone that you see" "Well Its not my fau.." "Well then whose fault is it? Huh?" "Its the hat mans fault he is the one who says what shaco does" "Oh stop it with that you have been killing them all since before he came around!" "Well that wasn't my fault either!" "Always someone else to blame huh?" "Its not my fault that the court had me killed to save their own skins! We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them!" There was a large sigh and then just silence. Nautilus felt his heart drop, the clown was truly out of his mind. Which made it even harder for him to be angry, he did kill that man, but he was under orders. Just like how Nautilus was under orders right now. He hesitated before making his decision, alert the guards and take this man back to the holding cell now, or try to understand this man further. After all Nautilus reasoned, maybe he could get the information the captain wanted, not by force but by friendship. He took a deep breath and stepped right next to the clown. To his credit, the man took the surprise visit rather well, choosing to bonk his head on the raft above instead of jump into the water. What can i do to show him I mean no harm, Nautilus tried wracking his brain for an answer, and then it came to him. He reached down and put a hand on the mans left shoulder and proceeded to sit next to him letting his legs dangle over the edge. He took the anchor and lowered it over the edge, hooking its chain around one of the rafts brackets. They both sat in silence for awhile, both secretly glad for the others company, but neither wanting to talk first. They proceeded to watch as the anchor swung lazily back and forth for hours, with the lights of the Underground beginning to show themselves on the horizon, without a word being spoken. Nautilus was surprised how content he was, sitting next to this man. Both of them outsiders in an insiders world, both betrayed, both left for dead...

"Where are we?" Sisceal mumbled as they were led into some apartment. He was even more confused now than he had been in that place....wherever that was. And at least he was treated nicer there too. "Let us go...we..we've got nothing you'd want. Or...take my cross or bible.?.whatever. Just let us go!" He struggled against his captor's grip again.

@zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Beowulf @Aridis

"I'm not a fae either."

As much as Atlas wanted to scream and fight back, he forced himself to stay calm. Taking slow, even breaths, he eventually succeeded in calming his own racing heart. This was seriously bad. In more ways than one. The boy had barely gotten this far the first time he had been captured; before, he had slipped away at this point. No interrogation had taken place. No torture had happened, other than the agony of waiting for an opening. Nothing. But now, he was at serious risk of facing all sorts of threats. He had no idea what lay beyond this, and honestly never wanted to know.

Deny. That's all he could do at this point.

Glancing over to his friend, the Wraith couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. It was Atlas' fault that they had been captured. He wasn't sure how, but he knew it was true. If the priest had just gone on by himself, he wouldn't be in this mess. He would probably be at another bar, or safely lying down on his own couch. "Sisceal, calm down. Just...just stop, alright? This is just one big misunderstanding, I know it. They'll let us go soon." His voice was so confident and hopeful that he almost convinced himself that everything would be fine. At the very least, Sisceal would be able to walk out of here without a scratch. But that only held true if he didn't try anything rash.

They sat in silence for hours as the city drew near. The Iron man had found him and surprisingly had not tried to rip his head off. The ship was pulling into harbor and Shaco had taken shelter in one of the life boats to keep from causing another uproar this close to his freedom from this cursed sea vessel. Once they had officially docked he would wait until they started to unload the ship and resupply to escape during the hustle and bustle of the crew.

As the clown climbed into the life raft Nautilus knew he couldn't just let him walk free, he owed these humans for the death he caused, and he owed Nautilus for the unknowing betrayal of him. Yet nautilus didn't feel obligated to stop him from escaping either. He wanted the best for the clown which is why nautilus formed a plan. He was going to make the man his partner, both to keep an eye on him, and because the little guy was growing on him. Nautilus had to think fast, the loud sound of seagulls cawing was getting louder, signaling that they were close to landing. He would need all of his concentration to do his job once they landed, but he felt that the clown might actually be willing to help. And, he hoped, maybe be his friend...

Black followed closely behind Penelope, his gun still barried in the mans back. The beautiful thing about a snub nose is that because the barrel is so short, is easy to conceal. Pressing it into the mans back as they began to talk, "LEts not get chatty now fella's"

After the interaction with the lady at the front desk, Black couldn't help but look at Penelope with an air of amusement until they reached their floor and they continued to follow her out towards her apartment. HE gave the man a bit of a shove to follow and entered the room. Looking around the room, Black noticed a chair and waved the gun in the direction of it. "Have a seat "whatever you are". I'm sure we will begin shortly." Black took a moment to look around the place, which seemed like a normal enough place to the naked eye. Black was sure that it had its secrets just like his did, but he wasn't about to go prying for them.

((I will post for Lucas in a bit @Hoki. Sorry for taking so long, busy weekend.))

"I don't want to take a seat. I want to go home." Sisceal spat. Refusing to move another inch. He absolutely did not want to be here or anywhere near these people now. He had had a tough enough night and this was only making it worse. "We haven't done anything. Let us go before I call the police on ye."

@zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Beowulf @Aridis

"A bit hard to call the police when you can't use a phone." Connor said, using his free hand to shove the man into a chair. "Don't worry. If you're human, we won't hurt you. If you're not human, well then we'll probably hurt you." He maintained a firm grip on the other person they caught, he already forgot his name. "You, my dear friend, will definitely be hurt." he said, giving his captives shoulder a shake and showing him his teeth, guess you could call it a smile.

@Axel1313 @zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Aridis

Sighing softly, the boy shot a small glare in his captor's direction. Well, at least tried to.

In all honesty, he was so nervous that he felt sick. Everything was going wrong. Atlas squirmed a little where he stood, trying to get free of the other's grasp. It wasn't just a matter of wanting to grab a chance to escape the group completely; mainly Connor was just really creeping him out. Just being here spawned an entire swarm of murderous, machine-gun wielding butterflies in his gut. At the very least, the Wraith just wanted to be at a different part of the room as the guy.

Taking a deep breath, he turned his attention back to the only really sane person in the room. "Sisceal... Dude, slow down. Just go along with it, okay? Arguing isn't doing anything..." Against people who were complete psychopaths who kidnapped people off of the streets, anyways. As tempting as it was to say that out loud, he held it back. Atlas doubted that the crazy guy with a duffle bag full of weapons would take kindly to it.

@rosamortelle @Beowulf @zCrookedz @Axel1313

"Oh bite me you big galoot." Sisceal sneered at the mad man as he was shoved into a chair. "And leave my friend alone. He's done nothing to any of you and was just helpin' me get home." He scowled harshly at the lot of them before turning his attention to Alex again. "I'm trying...but I am not in the best of moods today...especially not for this. Being kidnapped and manhandled for no reason by a bunch of loons..."

@Beowulf @Aridis @zCrookedz @rosamortelle

"What's a galoot?" Connor asked, ignoring the rest of the human's words until his question was answered. Once, or even if, his question was answered, he stared daggers at the man that said it and was even more ready to interogate this fae he was holding captive. "Can we start now? I promise I won't get blood stains anywhere." He wanted to start the interogation bere, make the man watch as his friend was broken and made to tell them everything they wanted to know.
