Fantasy The Underground

"And you better not forget it either. I'm the most precious of angels." He laughed. Turning his gazed towards the girl as she shoved him away. "Aaaah. I thought I smelled a pooch. I haven't seen a were in years...especially a wolfy poo in the Underground." He wiped his face on his sleeve. "It's rather rare here anymore. Of course....your kind is starting to really die off now aren't they? Or are you all just reaaaally good at hiding and running with your tail between your legs as usual?"

@IceQueen @zCrookedz

Silver growled slightly as she listened to the drunk man, her ears poking through her long hair. "Listen Count Deadula, you say that one more time and your head will be the next thing going down the drain." She growled, glaring at him. "The name is Silver, not mutt." She said, looking at the both of them. "We find ways not to be found, unlike your kind who seem to be sucking blood all over town.

@zCrookedz @Axel1313

Aaaand, the wonderfully beautiful smelly old cab was on its way. All they really had to do now was wait for it. Shaking his head, Atlas grinned. "Nah. There's no need for you to do that. I had nothing to do, anyways. Besides, I'd feel bad if you had to go out of your way. I'm not really all that good with debt stuff."

(@Axel1313)

Lucas couldn't help but chuckle at the girls name for Marius. He leaned on his cane and watched the pair of them interact. This was one of those rare moments Lucas never thought he would see; a vampire and a werewolf not actually trying to tear each other apart. At least, not yet. Lucas shifted on his feet to lean on the cane a bit more as he watched the two of them. When the girl revealed her name, Lucas hummed to himself before addressing her. "Silver? That's quite an interesting name for someone of your.....species.....is it not?" Of course, everyone had heard the legends of werewolves being affected by silver bullets, but Lucas had never had the chance to study about it or....test....it for himself to see what was true and what was fable. Either way, the girl was definitely interesting to say the least. But at the moment Lucas had a very serious question for Marius. "Marius, did you try to turn the Priest you got a hold of tonight?"

@Axel1313 @IceQueen

A small plume of smoke exited Stephens mouth as he sat atop a roof in the city. He had been jumping from roof top to roof top over the last few hours following his target for god knows how many blocks now and he was beginning to grow impatient. He pushed his goggles up to the top of his head as he took one last drag from his cigarette and the ground the bud into the ledge he sat on. He could see movement in the building he was watching. Of course this building was about 2 blocks away, and Stephen had been using the binocular vision on his googles to help stretch his normal sight.

Now there was movement and he was going to have to act fast. He stepped back from the ledge and grabbed the metal rectangle from his back by its handle and gave it a jostle downwards like he was going to drop it. A series of latches and springs released and his rifle unfolded in a heart beat. He set the rifles down on an air vent and positioned himself behind the scope. Peering through the scope he trained it on the door to the roof of the building he had been watching. He had scoped the place the day before, and the person he was following the day before that. He knew the target had been taking women from the street to this place, and then no one ever heard from them again. The files had said he was a rouge vampire that had snaked his way around the country over the last year, but all Stephen saw was a target. Human or Fae, he didn't care, he had killed both.

The door to the roof slowly opened as a man with a shaved head and a bit pale stepped out. During his initial investigation, Stephen had noticed that after the bastard fed, he liked to take a look from the roof. Probably made him feel superior to look at the people, the food, from so far up. But Stephen wasn't a psychologist, he was a sniper, and a damned good one. His breathing was normal, he heart beat rhythm the same as always, and his hands were as calm as a surgeons. He aimed the scope and took his breathe, the mans head immediately whipped up at the sound and for a moment the two starred at each other through a lens. But the vamp was to slow and Stephens surprise had been well timed. The gun went off, sounding no more than a can being dropped from the top shelf thanks to the silencer on the end. He watched the vamp fall to the ground, his head seemingly missing now as Stephen raised himself from his position with a smile.

Stephen placed his two fingers to his ear and pressed the com-piece in his ear. "This is Black. Target 1137 has been neutralized." Stephens smile turned into a whistle, that sounded an awful like the "whistle while you work" song he had heard as a kid. He pressed the button on his gun that returned it to its carrying mode and returned it to the mount on his back. Now was the time to go and collect what data he could from this sicko, probably Stephens least favorite part of the job.

"You must be a deaf one, because I called you pooch, not mutt. Big difference there." He sneered. He was trying to play nice around the wolf, seeing as his kind didn't get along with her kind at all. "Anywaaaaay. As entertaining as that sounds Lucas. No, I was only feeding. You know how I feel about things like that. I wouldn't wish this fate upon anybody. I know I left him drained enough to die."

@IceQueen @zCrookedz

"Not even dinner or a drink sometime?" He smiled. "I know, how about I pay for the cab ride completely. I'll even give you money for the way back too if you need it. It would be fair, you helped me get back home so I'll help you get back."

@Aridis

Silver rolled her eyes, looking at him. "It has to do with my eyes. They have flecks of silver." She said, looking at the guy with the cane. "Also pooch hurts just as much as mutt ok? All are offensive to me. I may be a dog but I have the common sense to keep myself away from you so I don't end up feeding of people."

"Pass." He instantly blurted. "I mean...erm. Well, I don't really need it. Getting back is no problem for me. I'll accept the whole dinner thing, but only if its just for the sake of hanging out. Debts...really aren't my forte. And collecting them are like even worse. I'm just trying to do a random good deed without any strings attached. Sorry if that sounds really weird... But, yeah." To be honest, the Wraith always felt super guilty whenever someone felt like they owed him. And he only got irritated when someone automatically expected him to do something just because they did something for him once-upon-a-time. Besides, on the off chance that Sisceal ended up being sober enough to remember all of the magical stuff in the Underground, Atlas wanted to leave the impression that not all fae were completely demonic and evil creatures.

Penelope let out a sympathetic frown despite the anger that was building up inside her. ~Damn it woman, you can not leave here empty handed~ she thought as mentally glared at herself.

"I absolutely understand what you mean. If a woman with an eye patch confronted me in an alley way and asked to give me a ride, I would probably freak too." Penelope exaggerated her last words with simple hand gestures. She could tell by their reactions who the fae most likely was and that they held some suspicion. Yet to be careful, Penelope knew she would need to bag both as either could hold vital information. "Let me at least stay until your cab arrives, I was on my way home from work anyways."

Penelope began to realize that the men had strayed their attention away from her, giving her the split second idea to knock them out then and there. Yet she shook that plan out of her head, the risk factor of one of them running before she could grab also was too high. Instead Penelope turned slightly away from the men to stare at the end of the alley way. "You know my car is parked just outside of here. Maybe it would be safer to stand by it than in the shadows of a creepy alleyway."

@Axel1313 @Aridis

"Okay....if you really insist." Sisceal frowned and sat back down on the curb. "How about a friendly dinner some time then? I don't really have many to talk to here, so making a friend might be nice." He shrugged. Leaning his head forward into his hands as a wave of nausea hit. When the woman spoke again he turned his attention to her. She seemed...off, but he shoved any judgment aside. It wasn't right to judge if he didn't know them, even if his gut churned at the idea. "That could be a good idea... The cab would still be able to find us and we'd be a little less out in the open." He looked back at Atlas.

@Aridis @rosamortelle

But...the open was a good thing. People could see them out in the open. Witnesses were more likely just in case-- Wait, what was he thinking? He had been joking about the serial killer thing. Well...kind of. It was more of a bullshit scenario than a joke, but he hadn't actually meant it. God damn, why did everything seem so off? The night was supposed to be his partner in crime; it wasn't supposed to hide anything from him. So why did it feel like so many secrets were being kept right now?

Directing his gaze to the ground, the teenager's expression scrunched up in slight concentration. He closed his eyes for a moment, and appeared to be thinking over the matter. When, in reality, he was trying to reach out to the woman's soul.

The task was harder than usual, considering the fact that he hadn't actually consumed a soul in quite a while. They usually fueled his abilities, and made him stronger in virtually every aspect. However, he was on a bit of a...diet? Was that the way to put it? Wraiths didn't need a soul to necessarily survive, they could live off of human foods and such. But, if they wanted to use their supernatural abilities, then they had to eat one at some point. And then occasionally replenish themselves and yada, yada, power. Even considering the fact that he wasn't exactly in his best condition, Atlas tried anyways.

He was trying to fine a sign of ill intentions in the human's soul. But, the thing is, they were the trickiest. There was no set definition of "bad" when it came to humans. What might've been good to them, might be bad to something else; and vice versa. Depending on the person's morals, certain "ill" intentions could be masked by a thick layer of "good". It wasn't up to the Wraith to decide whether or not a person was genuine, he could only measure them based on their own beliefs. So, basically, the woman could've been planning to murder them both on the spot; but, as long as she believed that it was for a noble cause, then Atlas wouldn't be able to pick up on it at all.

And speaking of which...he wasn't able to detect any sign of 'oh, you're in danger, freaking run before she pulls out a knife.'

"Yeah...okay. That makes sense. Let's do it."

(@rosamortelle @Axel1313 )

Lucas scoffed at Marius. "And he nearly would have if he hadn't wondered onto my door step." Whether or not Marius had actually intended to let Siceal die or not was a bit besides the point now seeing as how he was gone now. Lucas shrugged and sighed "Typique Marius, feeding your hunger before thinking about the innocent." Lucas couldn't hold his smile back anymore. It crept over his face as he began to chuckle. Lucas was no more a good nature soul than Marius, and playing the caring member of society was beginning to loose its appeal. He sat down on the curb next to Marius and reached into his jacket pocket. He procured a small flask that he always kept handy when he left the shop and tossed it in his hand. "Next time, try to kill someone a little more interesting. All I got out of that fellow was a vial of blood. Go for a unicorn or something with some value to it for me." He took a swig of the flasks contents before offering it to Marius. "And you should try to be nicer to our Lycan friend here Marius. Elle est très jolie.." He shot the girl a sly smile as he let his french trail off.

@Axel1313 @IceQueen

Stephen climbed the stairs of the abandoned building one at a time, still whistling his tune. The empty stair way echoed with each step making an aerie sound. Finally he came to the floor where he had been watching through the window when the vampire had brought his victim up. He had seen a bit of what vampires where capable of before, their strength and animalistic aggression. This time was no different, the room the vamp had been taking his victims to was exactly how you would imagine. A dirty, run down apartment room, that was covered in junk and trash. The boarded up windows where now open, letting in the stale smell of the city, and the bare floors and walls were cracked and full of holes.

Of course the bedroom was much the same except for the bed with the dead person on it. Stephen sighed as he took in the scene and turned back to the other parts of the apartment. The corpse and the mess the vamp made was for the clean up crew, he was here fro information. Looking around the room he didn't see much of personal belonging which was to be expected, so he headed back for the stairs to the top of the building. He found the headless vampire still laying on the roof as he approached. The blessed bullets that he had been given worked like a charm on these things and he had to admit the results were so very satisfying.

He stood over the vamps corpse and whistled "Man, you really should have quit when you were ahead." Stephen chuckled to himself before bending down and padding down any pockets the guy had. He reached into his coat and pulled out a cellphone, nothing special just an old flip phone. He found the guys wallet, not much in it except an expired license and what he assumed was a library card. The most interesting thing was what he found in his pants pockets. Reaching in he pulled out what appeared to be a folded up map of the city. He looked over the map, seeing a few spots where the vamp had marked with red circles and little notes of what appeared to be blood types. Stephen scratched his head for a moment before putting together that they were potential victims. But there was one mark that was different, a little star that hovered over an area between a few buildings. Before he could think about it more, he could hear the clean up crew arriving in their vans and he stuffed the map and cell phone into his pocket before making his way out of the building.

As he walked away from the scene, he whipped out his own phone and began to search through the names he had for local agents. He wasn't familiar with this particular city, as he had only been here a few weeks so the map was a bit useless to him. He did remember one name that had been mentioned to him in the briefing and so he scrolled through the names until his finger landed on who he was looking for. Placing the phone to his ear he sighed as he lit another cigarette. "Alright Miss Vasile, lets see if you can shed some light on our friends map here."

@rosamortelle

"So that's offensive to you now too? Yeesh...you were's get more and more sensitive every day." He shook his head. When Lucas spoke up again Marius scoffed "Fermer la bouche Lucas. That man was faaar from an innocent one." A smile began to spread across his face. "And there is no way in Hell I'd go after something like that. I don't really wish to be gored to death or killed by some other horrible means. That's why humans have always been the choice victims. Et croyez-moi Lucas , je remarquai qu'elle est jolie."

@zCrookedz @IceQueen

"Then lets get going." Sisceal smiled and stood from the curb for hopefully the last time tonight. "Lead the way Miss. Surely by your car will be a far more comfortable place for us to wait for the cab. They know we're near here so it should be too difficult to find us." He dusted off his attire as he waited. He had absolutely no idea that she could have other intentions. But that was much to be expected seeing as he had denied an entire different world even though it was right in front of his face...

@rosamortelle @Aridis

Silver groaned and looked at the drunk man. "Pooch or Mutt is something you would call a dog, and although dogs and wolves are similar, wolves are much more vicious and non subservient. I am one of those. So please do me a favor and at the least call me something that actually partakes to a wolf." She said, glaring at him. And that is when the French started flying. They talked briefly back in forth in the smooth language, and she groaned, shaking her head. "Look, if you really want to sit here, passing alcohol and talking in French that's fine by me but if you are done, then I will be going." She said, shooting the two of them a look. Lucas was no better than this Marius fellow, though considering they were so close it wasn't the least bit surprising to her.

@zCrookedz @Axel1313

"Of course just follow me," Penelope said as she began walking towards the direction of her car. While her face was turned from the two she let a small sigh of relief escape between her lips, not loud enough to be heard luckily for her. Not only was she glad to be closer to grabbing the goods, but dark halls and alleys reminded her too much of the events from the past. Feeling cold suddenly Penelope instinctively wrapped her arms around her as she continued to walk. She looked back the others and noticed, now that light was beginning to shine own them a little more, the one with golden like eyes was looking at the floor. Suscipsion creeped into Penelope's mind wondering if he was the source to the chill she felt. By the time the group made it to her car, Penelope's suspicion held strong, but thanks to practice her neutral expression stood strong. "Oh since were here I might as well introduce myself. My name is Camelia." Penlope knew better than to say her real name, but she also knew some fae had the ability to snuff out liers so using her middle name would at least keep her in the truth. Now that they were in the wide open, Penelope was about to reach for her blessed taser only to be stopped by the ringing of her phone. ~Of all things that could happen~ she thought. Taking her phone out of it her pocket she sent an apologetic glance before answering the call. "Hello? Who might I be speaking too?"

@Aridis @Axel1313 @zCrookedz

Lucas began chuckling at Marius as he relayed his own french back to Lucas. It was not often that he got to talk to others in his native language, but when he did it was nice to have the culture reminder. Lucas smiled at Marius holding up his hands surrendering to Marius, "Désolé mon ami. I was merely stating an observation. Besides, you seem to forget that some of the most dangerous creatures in this world are humans." Marius's second french phrase made Lucas chuckle and look to Silver who had begun chastising them and their french. He stood and bowed to her after lifting his top hat to the lady. "I'm sorry my dear. Please, don't take us to seriously we tend to get a head of ourselves. And I called you Loup, which is the french for wolf. I apologize if that was inconsiderate, I shall use your first name....Silver." He gave the girl a devilish smile which he shot from her to Marius then back to her.

@Axel1313 @IceQueen

Stephen smiled as he heard the voice come over the phone. He cleared his throat as he rounded a corner and began to see people on the street more frequently."My apologies for disrupting your evening ma'am but I was just calling to confirm your Order that you made a few days ago. I have been instructed to deliver it to you at your earliest convenience. If you wouldn't mind giving me a time and address for me to deliver, I will let you get back to your evening." Stephen hated having to beat around the bush. But he had been given explicit instruction that if he intended to call any of the other Order members that he speak in code as to not arouse suspicions. Hopefully this Vasile woman would understand what he was getting at and he could share what information he could.

@rosamortelle

"I'm Alex..." He hadn't exactly given his name to either of them, yet. So no one could call him out for being a liar. Plus, it sounded close enough to his real name. But, there was something that was bothering him.

There had been a little iffy moment. Right before her phone rang, there had been a split second where things felt off. Like, a change of aura. Or, maybe a better example would be that it was like a web. He was the spider, waiting in the center and feeling for any change through the threads. And, for the quickly fleeing moment, there had been an extremely faint tug at the far end of it. It was such a small movement that it would've been exceptionally easy to miss. There was no prey to show for it afterwords, so it would be easy to say that it had never existed; or that his anxious mind had created something out of the blue.

Opening his eyes, Altas stepped a little closer to his older companion. The paranoia was starting to get to him. It was probably nothing, he was most likely just reading too much into things. That's what he was trying to convince himself of, anyways. Even so, the teenager was on his toes. He was ready to bolt at any moment, and to drag Sisceal right behind him. Keeping a close eye on "Camile," he attempted to give his attention back to the Priest. "Okay so... Dinner thing." Atlas said, trying to steer the topic back to something less nerve wracking. "Lemme guess, some advice on which places have good food would help?"

(@rosamortelle @Axel1313)

"Hey, I can't help it that wolves and dogs both fall in the canine category! You're all pooches to me, don't take it as an offense though. I only mean it in a more....affectionate way. I'm actually quite fond of weres." His smile widened. He playfully punched Lucas in the arm when he saw the devilish grin. "Oh Lucas. Must you be such a boule de fromage?"

@IceQueen @zCrookedz

"My name is Sisceal. It's nice to meet you Camille...sorry about the state I'm in though.." He chuckled as he slicked his hair back. "Same to you Alex. I'm not usually such a mess." He couldn't help but notice Alex's strange behavior. He hadn't been acting like this a moment ago, so what was the matter? Maybe it was just some social anxiety though, nothing too serious to worry about at the moment. "Ah, yes...that would probably help out a lot. Seeing as I only know a few places to eat and they're all on the block I'm staying on.." His laughter turned more shy and nervous. "I don't really get out much."

@Aridis @rosamortelle

Penelope gave Alex and Sisceal a small smile to indicate that she heard their names before listening to what the person on the other end had to say. ~Order? Kids and there pranks these da...~ Penelope mentally slapped herself. She knew that her mind wasn't the most stable thing anymore, but she should have atleast remembered what codes were sent through calls. Now she just hoped they would understand her in return. "Thank you so much for letting me know, just deliver to my apartment in the upper-west side of town whenever you get the chance. Its the red bricked one with the church on its right, 5th floor with purple drapes in the windows and two doors from the staircase incase you get lost. Thanks again, I've been waiting for someone to bring that order in." Penelope ended the call and placed her phone back into her pocket. Leaning against her car she turned her attention back to Alex and Sisceal. "Sorry about that, it was just a call to let me know that my order is in."

@Aridis @zCrookedz @Axel1313

Silver looked at the two of them and shook her head. "The two of you are seriously drunk. Most people have to have balls to flirt with me. I'm letting his slide," She said, pointing to Cound Deadula, "Because he is clearly not sober enough to stand, you however, you got balls. Then again you have been drinking too." She said, shaking her head. "Honestly, as if work didn't have enough drunk people." She mumbled under her breath and brushing back the stray strands of hair from her face. "Silver is fine, Loup is fine too, I dislike pooch though." She said, giving Marius a strong glare and crossing her arms to sit on the pavement next to the one with the tophat.

@zCrookedz @Axel1313

Flashing the man a small smile, the boy shrugged off the other's words. "Its fine. I don't really either." Well that was probably the biggest lie he has ever told. He went out like every single day. "It'll be like a Gourmet Adventure or something. A... a Gourmture." Wow that sounded a lot less stupid in his head. Note to self: stop trying to merge words unless you're trying to be the biggest idiot on the block.

Atlas temporarily switched his attention back to the source of his possibly unneeded paranoia. 'What did you order?' was what he wanted to ask. But, nosiness wasn't exactly the best thing at the moment. While usually he would be doing everything he could to pry and figure it out, there was a slightly tipsy Priest that he needed to get home ASAP. "Ah, makes sense."

(@rosamortelle @Axel1313 )

Lucas chuckled at the girl as he held up his flask. "Unfortunately for the two of you, I am not drunk. This flask is one of my home remedies I keep on hand for special occasions. I'm naturally this charming." Lucas placed his hat back on his head as he winked at Silver. He stood and reached into his pocket pulling out a starch white pocket watch. He flipped it open then closed again before replacing it in his pocket. Leaning on his cane he smiled at the two of them "It seems as if the time has come to take my leave. Madame Loup... His fingers made a weird flicker of motion and a black card appeared in between his fingers as he held it out to her. "You should come by my shop sometime. Jimbo would love to meet a Loup Garou such as yourself." He gave the pair a bit of a bow before turning on his heal and striding a few steps away. Before he got to far however, he stopped "Oh and Marius, Bacchus a noyé plus de gens que Neptune...." He did not wait for whatever snarky reply the vampire had to retort with. He simply strode off in the direction of his shop.

@Axel1313 @IceQueen

Stephen smiled as he obtained the information he needed. He looked down at the phone with a smile and pushed a button on the side of it. There was a electrical sound from inside the phone and a plume of blue smoke and the phone was dead. He tossed it in a trash bin as he walked and once again went back to whistling his tune. He reached into his pocket and touched the map he had obtained to make sure it was still there. He wasn't sure how long he would have to wait for Vasile to arrive as it sounded like she was not currently at her home so he decided to grab some food. Killing Fae always made him hungry.

@rosamortelle

"Fine fine. I'll try to remember to call you Silver if I ever see you again. Just so you know I'm not a total drunk arse." He chuckled. As Lucas handed her a business card he clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Any business card for me there Lucas? I might have to visit you tomorrow myself for a hangover." He laughed as he rubbed his head. "I got a little too carried away with the celebrating temporary freedom."

@zCrookedz @IceQueen

"That sounds like fun. We can wander around town looking for places to eat and I can get to know the town a bit better." He shoved his hands into his pockets and shivered. The nights were getting more and more brisk every day, of course the amount of blood he had lost tonight didn't help much either. "If ye have an order you need to pick up then we'll try not ta keep you long."

@Aridis @rosamortelle

The clean up crew wasn't the only thing that showed up to the scene. With them, sat a man with several large duffel bags that clicked and clanked together ever so softly when moved around. This man, was Connor McKinley. And the man next to him was his handler. And the man next to his handler was a clean up guy, but no one really cares about him. We shouldn't really care about the handler either, that job is about to be passed off to someone else.

When the van stopped, the trio got out. The cleaner getting to his job, while Connor and his handler left for the insides of the house. The man they were looking for was probably in there, and they met him on his way down the stairs. "Black, this is Coyote. You're his new handler. Cheers." the handler said before quickly disappearing, glad to be rod of that burden.

"Sooo....." Connor began, not sure what to do now. His old handler had just uncerimoniously dropped him on this guy with no real plan of what to do next. And he did it while this Black was on a phone call, how rude. Well, guess that meant he couldn't put up much of an argument to not take him.

Stephen stood there, starring blankly at the man who had just been thrust on him by one of The Order lackeys. He he not been busy with his phone call, Stephen probably would have just ignored the man and walked right pas them without a second glance. But the previous "handler" caught him in a time when he could not refuse. Stephen simply stood there starring at the man now, wondering just what the hell was going on in the higher ups to be parring off agents like this. Still, someone up top must have known something, so Stephen simply sighed as he opened his box of cigarettes. He rested on between his lips and the lit it with his zippo. He took a deep draw and held out his hand to the man before exhaling and speaking to him at the same time. "Right, so my name is Stephen Black. Sniper for our mutual beneficiaries. I'm heading to meet with another agent, but it will probably be a while. Gonna grab some grub while the white suits cleaned up the mess I made on the roof. You hungry?"

@Beowulf

"No, not really." Connor said, only coughing slightly from the smoke. He didn't like cigarette smote, it was full of nasty chemicals. Much different then all the other kinds of smoke. "But I don't really have a choice on where to go." he continued, fanning the air in front of him to clear away any stray smoke. "As long as there aren't any metal detectors." he continued, lifting one of the bags he was carrying and letting his arm drop, the feint sound of metal jingling around just barely heard. "We'd have a lot of explaining to do, or a lot of shooting." He didn't want to shoot people. He wasn't a murderer, more like a hunter. In his eyes anyway. The fae were there to be hunted, some of the most dangerous and biggest game to be had were fae. And he was determined to collect a trophy from one of every species. So far, he had an elf's ear, a vampire's fangs, and a fairy's wings. His collection needed to grow.
