Fantasy The Underground

Penelope gave a wicked smile at Sisceal's words. "That's very kind of you Sisceal, and your right." Pushing her self up straight, Penelope straightened her jacket and pulled out her dual tasters blessed by the bishop of the Order's church. "So if you wouldn't mind standing still, I'd like to get you two packed up and delivered," she said calmly, stepping even closer towards the pair. With a finger clasping each trigger tightly, Penelope's vision of the pair faltered. As usual, she saw the blood splattered across their clothes and toothy grins engulfing their face, when in reality she knew they were most likely plastered with fear. With a simple click, Penelope hit Sisceal and Alex in the chest leaving them connected to her tasters by a small string. With a quick flick of a switch, the electric currents flowed through the strings, instantly electro caring the pair. Retracting the strings, Penelope put her two guns back in her pockets. As the self hallucinations faded away Penelope began to feel better about not using real guns. Sure she was disgusted by the fae and wanted them all dead, but she was definitely not going to kill a human. Knowing what would happen next, Penelope simply waited for the men to drop before she could drag them into her car. As she watched them slip away her expression fell back into its protective blank state, voice retreating back to a monotone sound. "Sorry boys, it's just like you said. I've got to get my order home."

"What the?" Sisceal was caught completely off guard by this sudden change in attitude. The dizziness and alcohol clouding his mind only made it worse too. He didn't have the speed or time to react to what happened next. A sharp pain in his chest and then his body locked up completely. It took no time at all for him to succumb to the taser. His eyes rolled back into his head and he dropped like a dead weight to the pavement.

@rosamortelle @Aridis

Atlas' eyes widened when he saw the tasers. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know to get away, or even if he could. To be honest, the Wraith's mind just completely went blank. Reaching over to Sisceal, he attempted to grab the other's arm so that they could get the hell out of there. Not that he would be able to use his shadow abilities on such short notice or anything, especially in his current state, but running was still an option.

However, Atlas barely got the chance to raise his arm before the electricity started flowing through his chest. One moment, the fae was in a whole world of pain. And the next, he was consumed by darkness. Gravity took control of his body, and the raven was yanked down to the pavement.

Stephen chuckled to himself as he began to walk down the side walk. The soft clank that came from Coyote's caught Stephen's ear and he instantly recognized it as the sounds of weapons clacking together. He couldn't help but smile as he took in another drag from his cigarette and exhaled, this time trying to be a bit more considerate and not blow the smoke near Coyote. "sounds like you have quite the arsenal in those bags of yours. Plan on leaving anything left over when we find what we are looking for?"

He let the question hang as he went around the corner and found the street was equipped with a street vendor. Stephen could feel his hunger growing as he walked up and ordered a hot dog and a drink. After procuring his food and taking a bite Stephen turned back to Coyote "So why exactly does someone in our line of work need a "handler"? You seem like a normal enough guy, sept for the over sized bags of toys there."

@Beowulf

Lucas strolled up to his shop in no time at all, pulling the door shut behind him with a soft ding from the entrance bell. There was a rustle from behind the desk on the wall and the shrunken head in charge of the place gave Lucas a scowl. "I don see noting der for me boyo. I thought you was gonna bring me som'ting for meh troubles?" Lucas flashed a smile at the head as he placed his hat and coat on the coat rack and made his way to the desk. "Sorry about that Jimbo, I got thirsty on the way back. Besides, we've been over this a thousand times, you have no stomach, and I don't want to clean bourbon off the floor." The little head shifted again, the bones and beads in his hair making a ominous noise. "Bibitte...." he mumbled under his breath as Lucas unlatched him from the wall. Lucas smiled as he walked them to the door beside the desk. "Come now Jim. We have work to do anyways. I need you sober." Lucas pulled a bone white key out of his pocket and slid it into the lock on the door. The door squeaked on its hinges as he opened it enough to walk through, and then pull the door shut with a soft click.

"That's what I want to know." Connor said, throwing his hands up for emphasis. "I just do what I'm told, but they still think I do things wrong. I got that vampire, just as they wanted. But I've been having to report to a handler ever since." he said, leaving out the fact that he had shot up everyone that was attending the party with the vampire. Whether he meant to leave it out or not was not clear. But for Connor, he was just doing a job. A vampire had to be killed, so he killed it. They never said how he had to kill it. "I've been everywhere, being thrown from one handler to the next. Apparently the big boss thinks something important is going on around here. He pulled me from China, where I was hunting Onii. Funny thing about Onii, they're exactly like any other demon you see, but green and has a third eye in the middle of their forehead. Guess that makes them different enough to be a separate species."

Axel1313 said:
ine fine. I'll try to remember to call you Silver if I ever see you again. Just so you know I'm not a total drunk arse." He chuckled. As Lucas handed her a business card he clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Any business card for me there Lucas? I might have to visit you tomorrow myself for a hangover." He laughed as he rubbed his head. "I got a little too carried away with the celebrating temporary freedom."

Now wasn't this just the greatest thing. Shion had poked his head into every other store in the hopes of finding his much-needed coins; his scavenge, however, brought up no results. Well, none that felt...right. Hand rummaging through the pocket of his jeans, the male retrieved only two dark steel coins, roughly the size of a quarter - if not a tad bit larger.

Returning the remaining coins to their home in his pocket, Shion lifted his head, another shop being his source of focus. It didn't exactly seem like the countless other stores he had ventured into, and yet it somehow raised his spirits - er...not actually, but that much was obvious. Striding up to the door, the red-head pulled it open and stepped inside, the ring of the door's bell almost echoing in his ear.

Stephen raised an eyebrow as he finished off his hot dog and took a drink from his can of soda. "Oni huh? Haven't had the chance to take on one of those yet. Sounds like big ugly fun if you ask me." He continued walking down the street instinctively glancing at faces as he went. He had learned during his time in the army that you can tell a lot by peoples expression in public. Mostly when they were up to something, but ever since his first deployment he had always payed close attention to facial features. Call him a bit paranoid, but ever since he was first introduced into The Order, he couldn't help but wonder who were human, and who were not.

Stephen sighed as he finished off the soda and tossed it into a passing waste bin. "Well they aren't wrong. Something is going on around here. I've been on patrol duty the last two weeks, popping Vamps and Trolls whenever I find one. Let me tell ya, its getting really boring."

Stephen turned another corner and looked around at the buildings before them. a short distance away he saw what he was looking for. He pointed at the building before them, "Red bricked build, church on the right. That's our building, hopefully Miss Vasile will be around."

Lucas was so entranced in his work in the back room that he nearly missed the soft sound of the bell going off in the front room. He looked up from the table he had been bent over for some time and looked to Jimbo then at the door. He swung the door open, still dressed in his leather apron and long sleeved gloves, both of which were covered in crimson blood. He looked over the shop and his eyes landed on the young boy with red hair that had entered. Lucas smiled as he stepped in and shut the door behind him, a disgruntled Jimbo yelling from the room until the door clicked shut. Lucas began to pull on the fingers of the leather gloves as he walked towards the boy, "Bonjor Monsieur Rousse! Welcome to Lafluers, home of the best Voodoo, Hoodoo, and black magics in all Underground. What can I help you with today." Lucas smiled at the boy with his normal, devilish smile as he tucked the blood covered gloves into his apron and leaned against one of his shelves.

Shion looked over to the shopkeeper, sky blue eyes skimming over the appearance of the male. When asked the question, he fished his coins out of his pocket, presenting them to the older man. "Excuse me, sir," he started off with, "You wouldn't happen to have any of these lying around, would you?"

Voodoo, black magic... Chances were that there weren't any simple dark steel coins like the ones he already possessed, but the male felt he had a better chance of finding them here amongst the countless other trinkets than in a random little shop. While he showed off the coins, Shion let his gaze wander the shelves for a small moment before returning to Lucas.

As Penelope watched Sisceal and Alex lose consciousness and fall, she unlocked her car and made her way over to their limp bodies. Getting Sisceal first, Penelope lifted him by the armpits and carefully dragged him next to the back seat door. Opening the door, she slid him inside, positioning his body to look as if he had been merely sleeping there already. Penelope then went back for Alex, grabbing him and pulling him without much care. As soon as he was in the car as well, Penelope got in and locked up.

Eventually Penelope made it back to her building, driving around back and parking in her car just below the premise of her window. Heading back to the front entrance Penelope saw two more men casually standing around. Figuring they must be the other agents Penelope walked up to them, speaking in code. "Stars are very beautiful tonight aren't they? The way they align to form a greater order."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

Connor turned to her, a look of confusion on his face. "Who the hell are you? You the one that lives in there?" he asked, pointing to the house next to the church. "If not, then beat it, we're waiting for someone." Turning away from her, the gears could almost be seen turning. "Wait a second," he continues, turning back around, "you talking in code or something? You in the Order?" Well, so much for codes. Connor was never the sharpest tool in the shed. A sledge hammer to another's dagger. This comparison could be used a lot for him come to think of it.

Stephen couldn't help but chuckle a bit when Connor answered the code with his own, subtle, way. He turned to see Penelope standing there and tried to salvage what secretly there was left. "Good evening ma'am. Please pardon my friend here, hes a bit brash. And yes, the stars do look lovely tonight. Like fairy lights twinkling from heaven." Stephen was satisfied that this was indeed Penelope Vasile and he made his way over to her. He stopped a few feet away and held his hand out to her. "Miss Vasile I presume. I'm Agent Black, this is agent Coyote. Apparently I have the qualifications to be the handler for this fine gentleman. Is there somewhere we can speak without ears overhearing?"

@rosamortelle @Beowulf

"Uuuuhg...." Sisceal groaned as he came back to slowly. He hurt all over. His muscles were tense and he had a bruise down the entirety of his body from hitting the pavement so hard. He had no clue where he was either. It felt like a car, but he was far too out of it to really tell. He shifted around a bit, didn't feel like he was restrained, at least that was something positive. "A...Alex? What's goin' on?"

@Aridis @rosamortelle @zCrookedz @Beowulf

Its not that holy stuff would seriously injure him. But, apparently, since he was a soul sucking maniac by nature, it did make everything hurt twice as much. Which seriously sucked. The moment he even tried to swim back up to consciousness, Altas was greeted with a heavy wave of pain in his abdomen. Well, and the huge amount of bruising soreness where his entire body kissed the sidewalk. Were they moving? Because he felt like they were moving. Or was it just because he was just so out of it?

Curling up into a little ball, the teenager clutched the spot where he had been electrocuted. "W-what?" He muttered. Everything was still really hazy, and it would probably be awhile until he was able to fully come to his senses. Which seriously sucked.

(@Axel1313 @rosamortelle @zCrookedz @Beowulf )

Looking past this agent Vasile, Connor notices some sort of movement in the car. "Hm, it would appear your passangers are gettin reckless. Should I kill them?" he asked nonchalantly, reaching in one of his bags for a gun. But which one? Should he go with a large magnum? Riddle their bodies with an uzi? Perhaps be more precise with a smaller calibur size, less of a mess to clean up but no where bear as fun. The idea of bigger is better won out, and so he pulled a marksman pistol from his bag of mysteries. With only a single round before having to be reloaded, breach loading to be exact, the round had enough stopping power to give an elephant a headache, and then kill it in the next shot. The mess they made would truly be slectacular.

Lucas looked over the boy as he dug around for what he had come into the shop looking for. He seemed a bit timid, and looked as if he was keeping a close eye on his surroundings. Lucas loved watching people; how they acted, how they moved, what they were obviously scarred of, and what they were running from. this one only let his eyes wonder for a moment before snapping back to Lucas, but it was long enough to tell he was not used to being in a place like this. Of course not many were, Lucas did have the only Voodoo shop in the underground that he knew about.

He looked over the handful of coins that the boy held out to him and Lucas plucked one from the pile. The cold metal felt familiar in his hand, a bit heavier than most normal coins as he tossed it up and down in his palm. "Darksteel, don't see a lot of that around these parts, even in the underground. Luck for you.." Lucas tossed the coin back at the young man as he turned around and strode over to a shelf near his desk and lifted a small wooden box with a lock on it. "..I came into possession of a couple about 3 years ago and have been holding onto them for a rainy day."

Lucas looked over the lock on the box and made a clicking noise with his teeth as he walked over to the desk and began to fish around int he drawers for the key.

As soon as Agent Coyote had started shuffling through what Penelope assumed were his play things, a sharpened hunter's knife was pressing at his throat. "I'm afraid that won't be necessary tonight Coyote. We need those bastards alive for the mission we've been joint assigned." Penelope's cold expression shifted, hollow brown eye piercing Black's own. knife still firmly pressed against Coyote's neck. "Of course we can go somewhere else. If you could just help me with my... luggage around back." She said gesturing towards Sisceal and Alex in the back who she noticed were starting to wake up.

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

Stephen watched as Coyote began to riffle through his bags and it turned out that Stephen had been right after all, nothing but guns. He chuckled to himself when Penelope made a move to keep her cargo straight and feeling as if this might just be the reason Coyote needed a handler, Black took a step towards them. "Now Coyote, we are not here to make a mess of things. Once we get the information we want from THEN you can have them. MAYBE, if you behave." Black chuckled again, as he stuck his hand in his pocket and felt for the map that was still pressed to the inside of the jacket. Satisfied he turned to Penelope and gestured to the car. "You tell us where you want them, we will get them there. Of course, I have something that might render their lives much more......expendable."

@rosamortelle @Beowulf

Connor looked between the knife, the woman holding it, and his new handler, emotions passing through his mind, and possibly visible in his eyes, but nothing showing on his face. How dare she hold this pathetic knife to his throat, as if he were a lamb about to be slaughtered. And how dare his handler try and step in to... Wait, did he say he might be able to get his hands on them if he behaved? That's what he heard, so he acted accordingly. Huffing in annoyance, he calmly puts the marksman pistol back into the bag it appeared from. Meanwhile, he muttered five words. "My names Connor, not Coyote." before crossing his arms and trying his best to behave, which made him look like a pouting child.

Random Freaking NPC

In and out, that had been the plan from the very beginning. While Lucas was busy with the customer, the little mastermind would steal some stuff and run. The more valuable looking the better.

The fairy was fairly small; barely bigger than one's hand. But, she was pretty strong for her size. Like, ant strong. And it kinda helped that she had this little magical bag thing that had its own little pocket dimension. But, who really counted that? (just go with it....)

While Lucas' back was turned, and the boy's eyes were off of her, the little magical creature flitted around the shop; shoving random items into her bag without anyone noticing. Well, until she accidentally knocked over a little vase near Shion. Then she just kind of panicked and darted out of the shop; pretty much making off with almost half of the shop's goods.

(@Hoki @zCrookedz )

Sisceal groaned and shifted in the seat and flopped towards the door more. "Oooww...L...let's go Alex...we..we've got to get out of here." He rubbed his head and with much effort, fiddled with the handle to the car door until it popped open. "C...come on." He took in a deep breath of air and stumbled out of the vehicle. Nearly kissing the pavement again before he could even turn around to try and drag Alex out of the car. He was hardly concious, but determined to get them out of there asap.

@Aridis @Beowulf @zCrookedz @rosamortelle

Wake up. Come on, wake up. What was the last thing that he remembered happening?

Camile...Sisceal... And then a ton of pain. That about summed up the entire ordeal, and only about a third of it Atlas actually liked. Soon, it finally hit him. This was all the goddamn Order's fault. Or...at least someone with similar intentions. Unless the nice eyepatched lady was into some really creepy stuff; then that only changed a little bit of the overall situation. Groaning loudly, the boy attempted to at least open his eyes.

Which he only half succeeded at.

Getting a glimpse at Sisceal's actions, the Wraith winced. "Don't..." He said in a strained, hoarse voice. "D-don't try to... They're probably nearby." As if a psychopath would wander too far from their prey. For all he knew, the Order probably had the barrels of their guns aimed at the duo right at this moment; seeing how they would react to the current situation. Even though Atlas hated to just give in so easily, neither of them were in any condition to take on an entire society.... Or one or two people. Either way they would get defeated and thrown into a cell within a second or two.

"Get...get back here..." Atlas croaked.

"NAUTILUS. OI BOYO!!" A voice yelled from the background breaking Nautilus from his daze. They had been at sea for almost a month now and the crew was showing the typical restlessness of sailors far from home. He shouldered his anchor with a grunt and turned to where the voice was coming from. It was the lead deck hand. I'll bet he probably had another job for me, Nautilus thought. The damned Irishman didn't trust him, Nautilus could feel it. It was no surprise seeing as the humans didn't trust anything that didn't look like them. "What can i do for you sir?" Nautilus's deep voice booming across the steel deck of the warship he was sailing on. " I need you to grab that crate over there and bring er' below deck for me, can you handle that boyo?" The hand yelled, sarcasm dripping from his voice. "Aye,Aye sir" was Nautilus's only reply. Short and to the point, just the way he liked it. Carry this from point A to B, some call it busy work, Nautilus calls it a vacation from reality.

He walked over to the closest wall and leaned his anchor against it, hearing the steel wall groan as the heavy weapon laid its weight against it. With a heave, he picked up the crate weighing almost a thousand pounds and threw it on his shoulder as if it were a simple back pack, and started to to walk over to the cargo elevator in the center of the deck. With a quick thumbs up showing that Nautilus was ready, the elevator operator started the machine. With a loud screech of metal on metal, the old elevator started its descent with Nautilus upon it. As he went down deck by deck the crew members couldn't help but stare at him. He was used to this treatment, standing just shy of ten feet tall and god knows how heavy, he knew he was an unusual sight. The elevator reached the bottom deck where two sailors awaited him with further instructions. Weird, Nautilus thought, every time i come to this part of the ship i have to be escorted everywhere, something big must be going on down here. None of my business, he added as an afterthought, although secretly, he was glad for the company,even forced as it was.

He had just stepped off of the elevator pad and started to set the crate down, when he heard a bloodcurdling scream, only to be cut off seconds later. Nautilus immediately dropped the crate and stood up to full size, ready to fight whatever was attacking his crew. As the crate fell with a bang he started to run over to the vicinity of the scream, only to find a dead sailor. "NO!!!!!! YOU TWO GO FIND HELP! NOW!" His big voice amplified by his yelling in the bellows of the ship. As the two looked at each other in fear Nautilus knelt down and very gently picked up the mans body. Just a child, didn't even look to be in his twenties. Nautilus carried the boy over to the freshly dropped crate and laid his body on top gently. He could feel his temper flaring as he whispered "No one hurts my crew on my watch and gets away with it, I will avenge your death young one." Turning back towards the murder scene his armor started to glow a brighter blue and illuminated the entire deck.

He began checking for shadows, knowing that whoever did this was a skilled killer. A sharp clanging sound echoed through the deck as Nautilus felt something sharp bounce off his armor, turning with a speed that would seem impossible to a man of his stature he saw a bright white set of teeth in the corner between two crates. With an angry roar he charged into the two crates splintering them and sending their contents all over the deck. He grabbed the man who had been hiding and began to slam him into the deck, making a reverberating thump with each strike. When all of a sudden the mans eyes glowed red and he exploded, showering him with a hail of knives. Nautilus looked down and saw that one of the knives had penetrated his armor, With a louder roar he pulled the knife out and crushed it in his palm. looking around for another target he heard a giggle to his right and immediately charged. Before he had made it two steps the man, (who was dressed as a sort of clown) was instantly clothes-lined by an armed sailor. Reeling in terror at the thought of hitting the sailor he punched his gigantic fist through a wall and brought himself to a painful stop. Breathing heavily, Nautilus shouted "HE IS MINE! LET ME HAVE HIM!"
