Fantasy The Twelve Gatekeepers

Tetragon said:
Scorpio, not wanting to believe that he was at the wrong here, reappeared into the room and violently shoved at Sagittarius "And what, pray tell, makes you think you are right to turn against us? What makes you think it's right to violate our oath, to interfere with human's wars? What makes you think declaring this war against me is right?"
"Against you?" She asked in disbelief "I did not, and I repeat, did NOT, turn against you. You couldn't hear us out! So we split into a new side, we need to make a change." I shouted, "And if you are too blind to see it, so be it."

Scorpio was shocked into silence at Gem's outburst. He may be driven by his mission, but he was smart enough to know where the line was not to cross. And so he did what any other sane man would do. He released Sagittarius, not without a painful grip on her shoulder and slumped down on a sit, his head bent so that he didn't have to look at anybody and that nobody would see that he was silently pouting like a child.

[QUOTE="Past Paradise Tears]Gem watched Capricorn, sighing a little as he got up and walked over, placing a hand on her shoulder. "It isn't worth getting upset over such a pathetic matter, Capri" He said before he looked up at Sagittarius, opening his mouth to speak when Scorpio interfered again. He growled. "THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU ANYMORE, SCORPIO, GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS AND SIT DOWN" He boomed, loudly enough to shake the whole conference hall. There were only a few instances when Gemini got so pissed he started full on shouting.
After his outburst, he cleared his throat and looked at Sagittarius again. "Tell me, Sagi, what is the point of meddling with the pointless humans? They're just leading themselves to their own destruction anyway" He said.

"I believe that the human kind is our greatest creation, Gemini." she explained "We cannot let them destroy themselves, we've spent years, decades, centuries! Watching them evolve and get smarter. We can't let them vanish upon Earth, this will be the worst mistake we've ever made." she contended the fact, changing her hair color into bright-blue. "Don't you see it?" she asked in enthusiasm. "We have learned the most important things from them, not from ourselves. And we can't let this guide just fade away."

[This speech though xD ]

Taurus would never admit it, but she cared about the human race a great deal, as she included them in the Nature she cared for. If they destroyed themselves that would impact the whole world. But is it worth breaking their Vow? She opted to stay quiet as she often did.

"Thank you for listening" He said softly, in Scorpio's direction before he frowned at Sagi. "No.. I don't. The humans are replacable, Father can always make a new ruling species. Humans became corrupt and insane, they kill each other out of simple things like different skin colour or religion! That isn't how a smart race should be. We went wrong somewhere, Sagi. I don't believe it's worth saving them. They're killing countless animals and the Earth itself! Even Father had forsaken them" He said.

(but Gemini has a point there cx I think the Earth is a more important creation than humans~)

Taurus knew that the entire world, though changed, now depended on humans to a degree. The way many of them fed passing birds, and nursed sick animals warmed her heart. She would have told the others this but it doesn't matter. She wouldn't be listened to anyway, against the likes of Scorpio.

"That's why we should get involved!" she replied "How could they ever learn from their own mistakes until they'll keep destroying and being blindfolded by hate, selfishness, war?" Sagittarius herself started to become emotional from this argument. "If we will create a new race, we will never learn how to deal with our problems, and our problem is in fact, that we need to help humanity but we stay too oblivious!" she said as her voice started being weaker. She closed her eyes for a split seconds, "Not only this will be our greatest mistake, it will punish us as gatekeepers with a soul."

[Wait... is Sagittarius the second most youngest? Because Sagittarius is from the middle of November to December, which is the end of the year practically xD ]

"This is where your belief goes wrong, Gem. You are impatient. After the Great Noah incident, we have not received any signs indicating that our Father is still involved with humans. However, that doesnt mean he has abandoned humans." Scorpio rubbed a tired hand over his face. He then turned to Sagittarius and gritted his teeth "Everything of Father's creation is replaceable. Even we are replaceable. If he could create Earth, what makes you think he can't create the same thing? Humans learn from their mistakes and so does our Father. He can see what went wrong and he can fix it. That is why we should just remain content with doing our duty as the Gatekeepers!"

Taurus wondered if anyone would notice if she went into the forest. She wasn't contributing to the discussion and there was no point in her being there so...

She rose, looking around and walked towards the door hoping nobody would say anything.

"That's just called running away from your problem, if we will create new humans, we will start over? Just like that? Learning nothing from where we were young with the current ones? We will never be better gatekeepers if we do so all the time." I explained to him.

Taurus stopped walking towards the door and turned, wanting to say something that made a difference."Not all humans are terrible. I know humans which fed the birds, nurse sick animals to health, look after their world and care for each other. Does the terrible nature of a few necessarily mean the entire species needs to be eradicated. Whether or not we interfere we cannot simply destroy the humans." As she said this she walked back and returned to her seat having realised running from the hall would solve nothing.

He glanced between Sagittarius and Scorpio, shaking his head. His hands turned into fists which he tensed so hard his knuckles turned white and whole fists shaking. "....We should just destroy the Earth!" He said loudly, a simple slip of the tongue which made him freeze on the spot. He outstretched his left hand and the blue fan appeared in his hand. He swung it and a series of bubbles seemed to appear around the room. Each playing horrible things humans do, did or the good they do or did. The bad outweighed the good by a long shot. "Don't you see!? Do humans look like someone whose mind can be changed?! They are just like me or you or you!" He said, pointing to himself and then to Scorpio and Sagittarius. "Everyone has opinions they will NEVER shake off! We can't change the humans, all we can so is speed up their end and destroy their things and let the world heal! They will kill everything on it with all the things they built without thinking of the things that inhabited the Earth before them!"

Manipulating reality on the scale of just about half or more of the Zodiacs was putting a major strain on Gem and it was obvious, he was starting to shake, knees wobbly with his vision probaby blurring and fading in and out. He could handle doing it to a large number of humans but not Zodiacs.

Sagittarius smiled towards Taurus, nodded as a sign to agreement, 'Why won't you join us, Taurus?' She asked her in telepathy.

"Over the Millennium humans healed themselves from the worst of them all, but this? This war cannot recover herself and just heal from it. We will need to watch them grow all over again! We will be back to the start of Adam and Eve." I disagreed with him. I raised my arms, causing hundreds of fire balls that played the good actions of humans.

"Humans are like us, they make mistakes, and they need help from each other to heal. In that case, they need help from us."

[Man this is the best argument I've ever role played good job! xD ]

Taurus froze. What should she do? She knew in her heart that humans had made mistakes, but at the same time they had destroyed parts of nature that would never return. What would doing nothing achieve? Maybe she would join them... it all depended on Gemini's response now. "Gemini do you want to destroy humans and restart or simply not interfere?"

I'm worried that no one is noticing Gemi's condition ^^' and he also showed their good deeds!!! @SassyAndroidSera )

Capricorn felt Gemini's hand on her shoulder and looked up, her eyes glistening due to the few tears that had formed, but never left her eyes. She shook her head. "You call this pathetic?", she thought to herself.

She took a few deep breaths and sat back down, continuing to listen to their dispute. Both sides were right. While it is true that they had learned so much from humans, it was also true that they were destroying what they had given them. Yet, when Gemini said that they should destroy the world, she snapped. She looked up at him, and in an uncomfortable, cold and serious way talked to him.

"Excuse me? What did you just say?" She stood up once again, this time she knocked her chair back and her voice started getting constantly louder. "Destroy the earth?", she laughed in a sarcastic way. "Are you nuts? Do you even know what you are saying? Do you know what effects this would have on us? On everything?", he voice shaked with anger, sadness and anxiousness.

She noticed Gemini getting paler, and starting to shake more and more so she stopped yelling and took another deep breath before she completly stopped talking, walking towards the exit.

"Gemini are you ok?" Taurus desperately needed to know whether Gemini wanted to destroy humans, but if he was in pain...

"And then after that what do we do?" Scorpio sneered. "Have you forgotten, Gem? Earth is not ours to decide what to do with it. It is our Father's. We have been created for the pure purpose of looking after it and that doesn't really spell destroy Earth does it?"

Scorpio turned to Sagittarius and growled " And just how can you help humans heal by blessing them with victory in wars? There will always be a winning side and losing side in wars, both of which suffer in the aftermath anyway so why bother taig sides?"

He sighed once again. But something struck him as odd and he turned assessing eyes onto Gemini, taking every of his movement into consideration "But this does give rise to a question. Just what could have driven you to speak so passionately about obliterating Earth? Surely it can't just pop out of nowhere..." Scorpio scowled, his brows drew down in tight concentration. Gemini was not one to be affected by a mere mortal at all, so this grudge against humans did not stem from humans themselves. The God of Punishment activated his sense and was shocked to find magical power at work, all concentrated around Gemini. What is this...

Scorpio tried to trace the source of the magic back to its owners but couldn't figure out who. So instead, he kept silent about this new bit of information.
