The Secret

Zachary, on the day of the move collected his things and began to wander towards Akira's old house where they had decided to meet each other after he said goodbye to his family. He hauled his things to her door and knocks lightly.

Akira quickly ran to the door and opened it nervously. "Hey..." She said softly as she looked up at him, her nerves taking over her. She stepped out and closed the door behind her nervously. "Can I help you with those?" She asked nervously as she held her hand out towards his luggage.

Zachary shook head and looks down slightly. "N-No, it's okay" He says and plasters a smile onto his face. His eyes were rather sleepy and red as if he had trouble falling asleep that night, like he did. "Shall we get going now?" He asks, shakily. He swiftly changes the subject.

She pulled her hand back and looked down as she nodded. "Yea sure..." She said as she put her hands behind her back and began walking to keep from touching him. If he wanted to touch her he could but otherwise she wouldn't touch him.

Zachary, once they arrived did the honours of unlocking their new house. He opened the door. He didn't notice a step in front of the door so therefore he tripped and spilled some luggage, some blades and sharp, dangerous objects spilled out.

Akira quickly ran over to help him, freezing when she saw the objects. She went through every possible scenario in her mind as to why he would need all them but only came to one definite conclusion. "Let me see your arms Zach," she said as she knelt down beside him, gathering up every sharp object she could and pushing them away from him.

Zachary was currently laying across the floor when he stood up, quickly grabbing them and then beginning to wander upstairs. "No... Why? I don't use these objects for cutting, I like to carve things from wood" He was an incredibly bad liar.

"You're a horrible liar and if you don't use them for cutting then you'll have no problem showing me your arms," she said as she followed him upstairs. "For once be honest with me Zach," she said as she turned him around.

Zachary wanders into a bedroom and locks the door behind him. "I'm not cutting, so I have no right to show you my arms" He says shakily and backed up a little, sitting on the floor slightly.

Akira sighed and sat against the door looking down. "Zach I want to help you...I want you back the way you were when we first met," she said and pauses to take a shaky breath. "I want back the wolf I fell in love with," she said as she hugged her knees close to her, trying not to cry.

Zachary opens the door and looks to her. "I'm not cutting, okay? I don't want to talk about it" He says and began to wander downstairs, going inside of the kitchen to get some snacks.

Akira closed her eyes tightly and sighed before watching him go downstairs. She slowly stood up and held herself as she headed to her room, closing and locking her door. She laid down on her bed, hugging the blanket close to her nervously.

Zachary spent most of the day alone until he snuck upstairs and sat on the edge of a bed, beginning to run a blade over his arm.

Akira decided to go apologize and slowly got up. She walked to his room and walked in, freezing at the sight. "Zach..." She whispered before slowly walking over to him, taking the blade from him.

Zachary looks up at her with an irritated expression. "Wow, you caught me. Big deal, well done Sherlock" He mutters and turns away.

Akira dropped her jaw a bit and frowned. "Zach please don't turn this into a fight," she begged him as she looked at him and knelt down in front of him. "I just want to help you. I want to be there for you. I'm not asking you to talk about it but I'm asking you to not shut me out," she said softly as she placed a hand gently on his cheek. "I've implied it before but I love you and I don't want you to be hurt," she said softly as she kissed his cheek.

Zachary looks to her and gestured to some pieces of wood, which honestly looked like junk. "They're for wood carving, I just wanted to try it out to see if it was sharp enough. That's all. You never believe me" He says and crosses his arms lightly.

"That's because you're a horrible liar sweetheart. I don't doubt that they are for wood carving but I also know you're cutting," she said softly as she looked into his eyes. "Please don't shut me out..."

Zachary sighs and then looks down. "Fine. But there's nothing else to discuss"He mutters and then goes underneath the quilt of the bed they were currently on top of.

Akira sighed softly and laid down beside him, holding him gently.no matter how much he may try to distance himself, she wasn't going to let him go so easily.

Zachary, the following morning was sat at the computer looking at depression images on tumblr and many other websites, he could relate well to the painful quotes even though they weren't uplifting at all.

Akira walked in and stood behind him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She thought about saying something but decided not to, remaining silent as she kissed his cheek lovingly, silently letting him know she would be there if he needed her.

Zachary quickly switches the tabs and then moves away and over to the window, he taps his fingers on the windowsill. He had felt so empty and lost without his blades and sharp items.

Akira sighed and changed back the tabs, shaking her head. Desperate times called for desperate measures. She walked out and went to her room, pulling out her phone and dialing the one person she never thought she would. She held the phone up to her ear, hoping like hell Mimi would answer.

Mimi was currently in her bedroom. She was applying some makeup when she heard her phone ring, she smiles cheerily and clears her throat, reheaesing a few greetings. "Hello?" She asks casually. "Mimi speaking" She adds.
