The Secret

You're thenone that made it seem like it would absolutely kill you if you just tried talking to my family. They came around and made the effort to come here so it was the lease you could do. And besides, you're the one that's only marrying me because I sounded so desperate. I'll catch a cab home or something," she said softly as she turned and began to walk away, the tears flowing uncontrollably. Didn't think I should feel like this on our wedding day..

"Fine. Believe what you want" Zachary mutters. He began to wanders over to the car and drove home. He knew he shouldn't have asked her to marry him too soon. He already felt like being divorced and they were only married a few hours ago. Once he got home he wanders into the front room and curls up on the sofa.

Akira got in the back of a cab and gave the man her address as she looked out the window. When she arrived, she paid the man and asked him to wait for a few minutes. She got out and walked inside without a word, going upstairs and beginning to gather her things before carrying them downstairs. "I'll leave you alone," she said simply as she looked down and pulled the ring off, handing it to him before she walked back out. According to him it was always her fault instead to trying to see what he was doing wrong so she figured what was the point in making his life anymore hell than she already had.

Zachary sighs and then watches her leave. He switches into his wolf form and then moves and sat by the fire. He stares into it whilst he thinks to himself. He was a bad person. At least that's how Akira pictures him all the time. He sighs heavily and continues to look into the flames. Maybe if he wasn't there anymore then people wouldn't be hurt anymore by his actions.

Akira went to a hotel and changed out of the dress, breaking down as she laid it on the bed. She found a piece of paper and began writing a letter to Zach.

Trust me. This hurts me more than it hurts you. I don't know what I ever did to deserve this other than trying to help you and have a loving relationship. To be completely honest I don't think you ever loved me with the way you act. You barely talk to me, you make me feel worthless and blame me for everything when you're the one that refuses the help every single time I offer it. You pushed me away and I couldn't take it anymore. Wedding days are supposed to be happy for couples but telling me I have issues instead of looking in the mirror for the main source just made me feel completely insecure and like I wasn't good enough. If you thought differently you would have tried to stop me. I keep thinking of the days when you you actually sweet and caring. When we first met. I was the only one that accepted you and wouldn't run away screaming in fear but considering it doesn't seem like that even matters anymore.....By the time you read this I'll have a gun in my hand and the barrel to my head. If I can't have you and you're not willing to change then there's no reason for me to live. I love you and always will. ~Akira

She put it in an envelope and mailed it off to him before leaving the hotel and going to a gun shop, looking for a pistol.

Zachary sighs as he read the letter and decided that he had better stop her. He began to wander towards the local gun shop and found her there. He sat beside her with a sigh and paws at her. He looks to her, his fur wet from the rain.

Akira looked down as she looked at him sadly. She sighed softly as she knelt down. "No one forced you to marry me. I just want you back the way you used to be but that's not going to happen and I have no reason to live if I can't have that," she whispered softly as she pet his fur gently, scratching the scruff behind his ear.

Zachary's ears ruffled a little but as he looks up at her and places his head onto her hand. He nuzzles her lightly and reaches his paws out to her, asking her to hold onto him.

Akira sighed softly and kissed his head as she took his paw gently. "I love you more than anything but Im only coming back if we go to counseling. I want this to work but you've gotta help me fix it," she said softly as she looked at him.

Zachary looks up at her, his ears still ruffling. He places his head into her chest and nods lightly, looking up at her. He would go to counselling, just so long as she would be happy and their problems would be solved.

"Thank you," she whispered softly as she kissed his head gently before standing up. "I need to go get my things," she said as she walked out of the gun shop.

Zachary wanders after her and then sat in the entrance of the hotel because no dogs were allowed, he shook his fur, ignoring the hotel owners who groaned at him for making all of the items around him wet. He waits patiently for Akira again.
