Fantasy The Reckoning

For fuck's sake make it stop. His exasperated voice echoed in his mind as Kira ran upstairs in a panic and Aero seemed to be suffering, starvation, how was that possible, he thought. Aero was fine and perfectly well fed when she first got here, well she was also still human so he supposed this shouldn't really be that far fetched. Mason shuffled close to Aero while on his knees placing a hand on her back softly as he attempted to examine her condition. Ribs exposed from malnourishment and a build far too slender for what should be a healthy panther. When did I become a fucking vet. He couldn't help grimace at the situation, even as he looked over Aero's condition his mind was only half focused without the peace of mind he required. "Oh good Max you're up, please you and Ellie go check on Kira, I'm worried." The screams from a particular girl now turned mountain lion cut through the last bit of his sentence prompting him to look at the both of them and say "Go, Go!"

The hand placed on Aero's back once again proved to provide more than just moral support as Aero would feel a strange chemical reaction wrapping around her. The sensation was not at all unpleasant, like silk bed sheets to the touch wrapping around her lithe figure. As his touched persist and he dragged his hand up and down her back it was as if she was being embraced by a cloud made of happiness and gum drops. "You okay Aero?" The fatigue in her muscles would be lessened, not dramatically but enough that the strain of working with a weak form was no longer precedent. "I'm talking to a Panther, I'm talking to a Panther, wow." She couldn hear him say in his silent disbelief.

"WE FOUND A GENIE, WHERE ARE YOU?" Mason cried back. "AND STOP SHOUTING." Mason realized a little too late that much of them probably didn't want to hear any loud noises.

@Zafirah

Before long, Kira stumbled down the stairs, careful not to step in blood. "Oh god, stop yelling. I need to clean this up soon," she spoke outloud. But, unlike normal, Kira's normally bubbly and excited voice sounded weak and strained. She wore a white no shouldered shirt (the one in my avi), her shoulders bare, and grey baggy sweats. Her hair was wild, as if she'd ran her fingers through it a bit too much, braid gone. Her feather stuck out by her temple and her normally tan skin looked a bit pale. Her eyes were half-lidded and she looked ready to fall asleep where she stood.

"Mason. There should be some things that can fit you in my dad's closet. Go get dressed, I'll watch Aero and the rest," she spoke softly, her fingers brushing his arm. "You must be cold," she sighed, looking to the panther. "Aero? Aero, you have eat," she spoke as she painfully kneeled next to her, careful not to sit in the blood. Kira cast a look at Dysis, a bit of betrayal and a bit of annoyance for shouting so loud. "Can you be quiet? Aero's still hurt," she growled, her low voice mixed with anger seemed a bit threatening.

Aushi just sat there, with a lamp on her lap and her hands covering her mouth because her voice had creeped her out. She didn't move, didn't think like a cop, she was just, in shock. Seeing her black smokey flesh poked she jumped, remembering where she was and who she was around. Mason would be able to feel her flesh, it'd feel cold to the touch, his fingers would even reach into her flesh a bit, as if dipping your hand into cold cotton that disintegrates to the touch. She yelped and when the contact was over, she'd begin to change again, but the change wouldn't involve any pain.

Her black smokey flesh would return to her regular ol' tanned flesh and her wings began forming feathers out of shadows, solidifying within seconds. Her tail grew tanned fur as well as her ears. The red disappeared into nothingness, revealing golden pupiless eyes with blue sprinkled within, like stars in a golden sky. With ears pinned against her head she shivered at the loud shouting. "Oh please do stop shouting, and genies aren't re-" She was relieved to notice that her voice was a singular, normal voice! Sighing she allowed herself to stand, shaking her head a bit, which was definitely not a good idea because the world spun with her. "Well... weren't real". She gripped onto her lamp like her life depended on it.

"Ok so." She cleared her throat, the feline fangs inside her mouth uncomfortable to speak with, though thankfully they weren't very long. "I have a feeling that everyone that was feeling sick today has suffered some type of supernatural change. Shifters... spawns from Hell.. mermaids... genies..." She sighed. "I need to find out the damage in the precinct. I suggest you do not leave this house, can't really imagine the damage outside yet." She spoke mainly to Kira, who seemed to be bossing everyone around, hopefully she'd take her advice. "And from what human history has taught us, humans aren't the tolerant type." She spoke with more seriousness the last few words.

Before she even took a step she noticed that she had wings wrapped around her body like a dress, covering the frontal important parts but her behind was shamefully everywhere. "... Would you happen to have a towel you can gift me?" She wouldn't ask for clothing, but towel was fine! Pride was such a silly habit to have at the moment.

"Here. You can go up to my room and see if anything fits you. But, be warned, you know what looks expensive. Don't take those. I don't want to risk them getting ripped or bloody," she stood and tossed one of the downstairs towels she acquired from the cabinet next to her. Kira looked her up and down, a bit skeptical. This was her house, not this police officers! It seemed a bit obvious that they were going to lay low. Somehow, she'd have to stall her father from coming home as soon, for she had to fix the walls, furniture and flooring before he came home.

(Sorry for the short post, I'm waiting for people)

Ellie was about to go to Kira's room, but her friend came out looking human again. Well that was a good sign, after things were calmed down a bit more she would tell her friends what she knew. Things were still pretty confusing right now.

Not knowing exactly what she should do to help, L looked to Max wondering if he had any ideas. "Are you alright?" she asked him. Besides looking like he had been through hell, she couldn't exactly tell exactly what he had changed into. She had a lot of knowledge on supernatural creatures so she did have a few guesses but nothing had been confirmed yet. It frightened her a little knowing that she was still human and possibly in danger. "Do you notice anything different about yourself Max?" she asked a little awkwardly knowing he wasn't the type to open up easily.

Ellie rested her hand on the back of her neck watching Max to see if there were any clues to what he was. In most of the chaos she had been watching Mason and his fire and the two huge cats so she hadn't seen most of what he had gone through.

"Uh, yeah alright." Mason relinquished his touch on Aero but that did not stop the feeling of untensing and muscles relaxing. Leaning on one knee Mason rose to his feet nearly stumbling as the addition to his height no longer had the help of adrenaline to make Mason neglect that it was there. Mason hazarded a guess that he was now standing at 6' at the least. He wouldn't know for sure until he'd measured but it really didn't seem to matter at the time.

Ascending the stairs without another word Mason gave everyone a half heart nervous glance. The wings on his back contracted to avoid smacking into anyone on the way up. He'd been at the manor a few times, it was only his second to lastest visit that he'd actually been invited to Kira's dad room so he could show off his Dog breeding awards, sure enough despite all the crazy that has encapsulated this day the one thing that made sense were that the trophies were still there. He'd had his daughters blessing, he hoped that counted for anything as he rummaged through his wardrobe looking for something to wear.

It had been a few minutes but Mason rounded back towards the stairs to find all his friends were still placed in the same spot he'd left them in. All of him was really wishing the second he'd came back around the corner he'd wake up and stealing a pair of Mr.Pierce's pants would be where this bizarre adventure would end. He of course didn't get his wish as their pale faces were still there looking on in the same relative shock they had been in when he left. Mason now came down the stairs with a pair of black cargo pants matched with a similar black pair of steal toed combat boots. "I couldn't wear any of your Dad's shirts, none of them have wing holes."

"Ellie, you alright, you look paler than usual."

Dysis resisted a facepalm as Mason yelled about not yelling. But, as Kira snarled in response, Dysis sank lower in the water. If she was able to drag her out of the pool, it would be an easy victory on her part. And most likely quite the opposite to repair their relationship. Though she felt as if it were her fault, it was her brother that held the pistol. "Kira..." She responded slowly, her tone wavering slightly either from fear or fatigue, it was hard to tell. Not expecting a friendly response, Dysis fell silent.

Aero shuddered intensely, dry heaving and sweating until Mason touched her gently. Her bunched up muscles relaxed and she began purring loudly under his touch-her small human fragment blushing fire red. As soon as his hand left her side though, the slow, pounding pain resumed. Aero would glance to Kira and inhale deeply then lean down to nose the meat. The minute she made contact, Aero opened her mouth wide and began tearing up the meet with her dagger-like teeth that gnashed through the ribs ferociously and with passion no one would expect. After she was finished, the panther would growl softly and curl up, her pink eyes softly shutting-then they sprang open and Aero roared. Her body twisted and twitched, bending in sickening ways until her physique was in a C shape.

Kira chuckled at Mason, eyeing his chest. "Yeah and it was too hard to make some. Whatever, you're just trying to show off," she lifted her nose, wincing as Dysis called her. "What? Tell your trigger happy buddy that guns aren't allowed in the house. And you better dry yourself off before you come inside. I already have enough flooring issues to deal with," she spoke stand-offishly but not rude. It hurt Kira very much when she snapped at her after she risked herself to save her. Sure, it wasn't a huge risk but Kira was afraid she wouldn't be able to swim with all the fur.

Aero was her main focus right now and Dysis's new choice of friends wasn't her problem. Besides, it's not like the guy totally threatened her life and all of her friend's. Jumping away from Aero's curling body, she caught one of her claws, it nicking her arm. But as she looked at it, the wound sealed itself closed right in front of her eyes. "Woah," she murmured, then turned, shooing Mason out. "Get out! Aero doesn't need you when she wakes up naked!" she growled, pulling out another towel when her friend comes out of the torture.

"Friend?" Sighing she responded "He's my brother...and a larger problem at hand, I don't know if this is reversible..." Dysis leaned on Dust once more, he would most likely be the cause of the problem later on.

(I apologize for such a short post, nothing to go off of really)

Ellie still watching Max closely as she answered Mason, "I think I'm okay for now what about you? This ummm isn't exactly the first time I've seen this happen." She was wondering when someone would realize that nothing had happened to her. She could understand though, they had all probably just experienced the worst pain of their lives, well up until now at least. L wasn't exactly their biggest concern after something like that and besides she wasn't in any danger that anyone knew about especially now that Kira and Aero were coming out of their shifter forms. No one else seemed to be anything too dangerous to humans unprovoked at least. Vampires. That's what she was worried about, humans were basically a food supply for them. The thought made her shudder as she kept her eyes on Max. "When you guys are ready I can try to explain a few things."

Kira spun on her, snarling. "So you're saying you didn't tell me that you had some psyco-brother who likes to kill his little sister's friends?! That would've been great to know from the get go!" she barked, hating that all of this happened under the stress of a gunman. "God, he could've killed one of us, Dysis! Did you think of that?! Sure, I can heal pretty fast now but I'm sure I'd have to retrieve the bullet, it would most likely hurt like hell and that's it he doesn't shoot me in the head!" she shouted, but only angry out of fear.

Turning her back, she kneeled next to Aero, pressing her hand on her misformed shoulder. "Go get Aero some clothes. She's gonna need it when she changes back," she murmured, knowing she'd hear it. Kira wasn't fighting with Dysis right now. Not with that gunman with her and Aero and everyone else being hurt. Badly.

Closing her eyes, she was getting annoyed. "I haven't seen him in three years. Thought he was dead" She replied, her tone having a faint spiteful undertone. She was somewhat sure he wouldn't have killed one of them but you never know.

Aerowen curled around into a tighter ball, her spine rippling out of and stretching the skin of her back painfully while all her other bones jutted out of her skin, blending togheter and ripping apart until her form was vaguely humanoid. Throughout the whole process, Aero was even too weak to scream and simply whimpered.

After the whole disgusting ordeal was over, Aero would lay on the ground, panting and groaning. Even though she was in incredible pain, it was obvious that Aero looked much different. Her tan skin would have a goldenish sheen and even though her frame was still slender, she had a little more curve in her breasts and ass then usual. She was also taller by a few inches and her face was much more angular. Blinking up at Kira, Aero gestured towards her eyes and mouthed the words,
" Pink ?".

"Well girl, you look like a Pink Model but nothing else here is pink. Well, maybe your eyes but that's 'bout it," she smiled, speaking like a tired, yet loving mother. Wrapping her fragile yet changed body in the towel. "Come on, let's get you upstairs and some clothes. Poor thing. Your change was much harder than mine. I dunno why, though. Are panther's cooler than mountain lions?" she teased softly, hoping to see her smile.

"You know what, D? Just get rid of him. I don't want him in, near, let alone even know where I live," she growled harshly, eyes glowing to show she meant business. It felt like deep betrayal that Dysis was over there snuggling with the man who threatened her life. God, it's not like he's been sending post cards! He disappeared and left you behind for a freakin' reason, D. He doesn't care about anyone but himself.

Growing angry, she raised her voice once more. "Look bitch. My parents were murdered, he went to go try and find out what happened. If you can get that through your thick ass skull then screw you." She was steaming, obviously in a 'no fucks givin' mood at the moment. Dysis knew she would regret this later, but it's not like she cared at the moment. Hell she would give anything to slap that pretty little face of hers. Hard. With a flaming, acid covered Thor's hammer.

Aerowen managed a small scoff at Kira's compliment but she still felt rather odd. Leaning on her friend a bit, she walked slowly up the stairs, stretching and flexing to try and get used to this new muscles. Aero's footsteps barely made a sound of the stair yet less then a day ago, they sounded like gunshots. Pulling the towel tighter around her chest, Aero ducked her burning red face when she remembered how she purred as Mason touched her and her, well, nakedness.

" Erm-Kira, I don't know if anything you own will fit me in my... Model She-Hulk form". The reason Aero took these changes so well is that even her extermely open mind couldn't take it. Ignoring Dysis completely, Aero would resume her trek for clothing.

"Don't worry, darlin'," her voice a breaking with emotion at Dysis's insult. "I have some baggy things that should fit you just nice," she smiled, hugging her a bit tighter. Kira opened the door and the dogs backed away, seeing a visitor. Not that they were scared and aggressive, Kira had taught them not to jump up on people unless they called for them to do so. Sitting Aero on her bed, Kira closed the door and went to her closet

King, the goofy one, jumped onto the bed and licked her cheek, tailing wagging. Starr, more ladylike, put her head atop Aero's knee and wagged her tail gently, sensing the girl was a bit tired and worn out. "How's this look?" she pulled out her black sweatpants and a pink sweat shirt with a ducky on the back. "Hope you like ducks," she smiled.

After she had cooled off and regretted the words that had come out of her mouth, Dysis sank so low that she was laying on her back, fully submerged. She knew she was being ignored by pretty much everyone now. Peh, so much for having friends. It'd be a miracle if she didn't come and rip out her throat. Dysis closed her eyes, just wishing this nightmare would end.

"Really?" Mason pressed Ellie. "You knew about this before, what is it, why is this happening?" He didn't take the time to think that perhaps Ellie was just as clueless and scared as he was. He ran a hand through his hellfire red hair, he'd entered the room with a little more dread on his face as while he was trying on the new threads he'd noticed the full scope of his transformation.

Mason was ready to abide and let Aero have some privacy but seeing the schism between the two friends was not something he could simply stand by and watch. He sighed giving Ellie a fatigued smile. "Hold that for me." He said before going down the stairs placing a hand on Kira's shoulder. "Come on, the world is going nuts around us, you didn't hear the radio, this stuff is going down even at the police precinct which means the town might have people going through this too." He sighed rubbing his eyes. "I'm sorry but it's just not the time for this." Once again Mason's touch elicits a wave of calming pleasure to smoothly flow through Kira's body.

(Sorry I'm a bit busy so my posts are gonna be short and infrequent.)

"Mason, right now, all I'm worried about is keeping my friend from keeling over," she leaned onto his arm, eyes closing. Kira was way too tired to be up now. Something about how warm Mason was made Kira want to snuggle up on his chest. "I...God, I'm tired," she whispered, standing straight once more.

"Take care of Dysis and the cop. I have to get Aero some clothes and get her cleaned up. She's had a rough day too. I can't neglect my friends because the rest of the world is collapsing. We have to make sure the house is safe and secure so we can fend off anyone who's like us and has gone crazy. Mason, things are changing. We need to stick together," she looked up at him, determination burning in her tired eyes. "Now go. Aero's changing," she pulled away from his touch, suppressing a soft whimper.

Closing the door, Kira curled on the bed next to King, waiting patiently for Aero to change so she could go downstairs and start cleaning. That blood would dry up and become a lot harder to clean off if she slept the night without doing something. "You can sleep in here tonight, Aero. I don't want any of you leaving. Mason said it's Hell out in the city."

Finally coming to his senses, Max looked at Ellie. Registering that she was speaking to him. Had he noticed anything different about himself? Plenty of things. He took a deep breath, moving every muscle in his body. From head to toe. His entire body just felt off to him. Not to mention the razor sharp teeth in his mouth. He straightened up. Attempting to regain his composure. Honestly, he was a little ashamed of how much of a baby he was being about the whole thing. He needed to man up, it was the only thing he could do now. Apart from everything he felt stronger, more aware. "Yeah, I feel like a stranger in my own body, and..." He trailed off, running his tongue over the fangs that had grown in. Some part of him was hesitant to even mention it. "Wait, did you say you know something about this?" He finally turned to face her, giving her his full attention. He was really hoping she could shed some light on the situation. As far as he could tell, the world seemed to be going to shit around them. He wanted an explanation. Why was this happening to them.

Mason sighed returning the tired look with one of conviction himself. "Alright, but we need to get together and let Ellie fill us in on some stuff, she seems to know more than us." He let Kira depart back upstairs, it seemed like this whole episode revolved around this particular set of stairs. He wouldn't be able to see the stairs later on and not be brought back to the grueling event that just unfolded. Prying his eyes away from the staircase he made his way to the Djinni cop tapping on her shoulder to acquire her attention. "Hey, wanna go fishing?" He said pointing behind him with his thumb to where Kira had been having a heated exchange with the mermaid now taking up residence in the pool.

"I know you have to go but it'll be a long walk back, unless you want me to drive you." It occurred to Mason that checking the town might be in their best interest if this whatever it was, was spreading. Hunkering down as a community would offer a better support system. "I want to go back too but I don't think it's smart to do it just yet...I heard what happened through your com, it didn't sound easy out there."

@Aushi @StoneWolf18

Aushi wrapped herself around the towel that had been given to her, using it as a tube like dress. The moment it touched her body though she opened her wings and pressed them against her back to avoid touching anyone or ruining anything else. For a moment she looked down at herself and internally desired some better clothes. She was about to take up on the offer of clothes when the towel began to transform into black cloth, shifting into baggy pants that hung loosely on her hips and a tube top with mesh material hovering over her exposed abdomen.Jewelry had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, on her feline ears, wrists, waist, even her tail was now fully decorated. No shoes though, can't have everything! Her eyes wide, she sort of ignored everything around her. Teenage drama wasn't something she was hot wired to care about.

Snapping out of it when Mason came to speak to her she cleared her throat, focusing on thinking like a cop again. She nodded. "Aye." The 26 year old looked as if she was much younger as well, a little closer to early 20s instead of late 20s. Seems you won't find an old looking djinni anytime soon. She waited for Mason's lead to help his friends. Realizing she hadn't introduced herself she extended her hand at him. "Officer Garcia, Aushi Garcia." Word by word, her voice continued to sound younger, which surprised her. Her tail aimlessly wrapped around her exposed ankle hands going to wrap her hot-red hair into a bun. "First day of the end of the world as we know it..." She randomly said, pretty much taking Mason's lead as she balanced herself, both physically and mentally, with the situation. The radio was dead silent last time she checked, definitely this was happening outside. "Did I hear someone had threatened someone's life?" As usually, curious as a cop... or was it curious as a cat?

@Serpico

Just in case you're wondering she looks like the colored version right now, not the black version ^_^ Same clothes and jewelry at the moment. NO shoes.

"It's not the end for us, Garcia. And yeah, there's a man outside, in the pool. He came with a gun and threatened to kill anyone if they answered the door. Unless it was Dysis, who turned out to be his long lost sister and they're both fish. Go arrest him, please. I'd like to see a fish in handcuffs," Kira snorted as she came downstairs, still cocky as she was tired. "I let Aero sleep the change off. She's really hurting, Mace," she sighed, wanting to lean back onto her friend but sat down, staring at her front room.

"Dad's gonna kill me. That's if dad's even alive," she scoffed, tearing up. "What if he doesn't come home, Mason? What if he's out there and he gets attacked by one of those monsters? God, I'll be the only one," she whispered, not letting the tears fall but her face heated with the sudden rush of emotions.
