"Alright. Sounds good." Paula said about Natallia's plan, watching the woman burst into the room both Leia and Vicky were in. It was about as good of a plan as anyone could come up with in their situation with their time constraints. "If you both start with the bomb to catch them off guard, we can startle them, they'll probably raise their defences for a while so we will need to take cover in the smoke screen until they drop them again. I hope their shields are electrically conductive, if they have any shields that is."
Natallia smiled. "I'll be ready." She tapped her brother's shoulder and indicated that he should follow her. She darted across the inn, to the open doorway. Blasted door bits lay scattered on the field in front of it, but Natallia paused before she looked outside. The rain was coming down hard, which would make drawing perimeter spells impossible. Natallia cursed and then looked outside again. There was a growing number of men, and Natallia narrowed her eyes. She couldn't count them, not in the rain and the darkness, but they were there all the same. More than she wanted to deal with. A fire spell would be put out in this rain. Electrical spells--
Natallia's head snapped to her brother. "Electrical spells." She whispered. The rain was coming down hard enough that it would conduct the electrical spells. By doing that, it would amplify the spell, causing a chain reaction. It was dangerous, and had to be cast inside without anyone else in the rain, but if they could pull it off, it could save all of them. She had her air blast spells, but they were only effective as a close range spell. The electrical spell was their one shot to get out of this alive and uncaptured.
She didn't have any electrical spells though, finding them too dangerous to really be useful. Paula did, and hopefully she could make it work. "Keep watch. If they get close, hit them with your electric magic. If you can, hold off until I say. When I give the word, hit them with the strongest electrical magic you have. We're going to try and use the rain as a conductor."
Without listening to any questions or responses her brother might have, Natallia ran up the stairs to Paula. She told Paula the plan, the same thing she had just told her brother. She hoped Paula could live up to her reputation. "When we do that, we'll send the girls out. Skorzah, you'll need to get them above the rain so they can fly faster. After that, turn back to us. Paula, on my mark, okay?" She turned back to Nate. "Nate, you ready?"

Leia

The sound of the door opening made her flinch but as the woman spoke the words “attack.” Made her stomach drop. She had felt safe, how did it become not safe? What happened? Worry grew in her mind but the sight of the cuff interrupted the thoughts taking root. Her eyes slowly went up to the woman’s. Leia became keenly aware of her own collar around her neck. How pretty it was made to look, so it would seem a shame to take of. Her breathing felt a little stifled, either from the fear of what to happen or the awareness of the collar. She looked over at Vicky, speaking of her mother not joining them. “Where...are we going?”Her voice shook a bit, scared of all the implications of the situation.

Skorzah shakes her head, looking over Leia to make sure her injuries aren’t going to be too much of an issue. “No, your mother isn’t coming. And I can only stay with you for so long, but I promise, I can show you the way to safety.” She says to Vicky, grabbing a cloak for Leia to keep her warm. “I’ll be showing you how to get to a hideout. We’ll meet you there, I promise. We have to stay and fight, or you won’t be safe.”

She gets the cloak onto Leia gently. “I promise, I won’t let them hurt you.”

It was a lot that Natallia was saying for Nate to take in but luckily he was used to this and followed along easily. Maybe it had to do with when he was younger Natallia always slapped him silly when he wasn't paying attention and studying the work she had given him. It was for his own good of course. Nate nodded at Natallia and grinned. "Heh come on sis you know I have some of the strongest electric magic there is and of course I'm ready." He waited for her signal to start attacking the men.

((Curious is Nate allowed to be somewhat resistant to the electricity in the rain for working with it for so long? I was gonna say that he got shocked pretty bad when training from time to time and now it came in handy. Yatasal Yatasal ))

((OOC: No, this would be pretty powerful. But if you wanna run out into the rain be my guest!))

Natallia nodded, and looked back to Skorzah and the girls. "Skorzah, you'll need to get the girls above the clouds. The lightning won't affect you and Leia, but it will affect Paula's daughter. She's human. I'll give you thirty second head start. Remember the time we set the forest on fire? If we can survive that, we can survive anything. Good luck."

((OOC: Okay, Eliasdagood Eliasdagood you have thirty seconds to get the girls to safety. You should be able to turn pretty quickly. Leia on the other hand not so much. Good luck hope none of you get killed!))

Skorzah’s eyes widen. “Alright, never mind, change of plans! I’m just gonna grab you two and fly for it!” She says hurriedly, grabbing both of their hands, and trying to pull them out with her. Time is extremely short for them right now. “I won’t drop you or stab you I swear, I just need you to trust me!”

Nate got his blade out to prepare for battle along with his electric magic. "Alright sis, let's show them that we aren't the type of people they wanna mess with." He smiled and waited at the door for safety purposes.

The troops Marcus had sent ahead made their ground quickly. Swords and leather armor covered them from head to toe as their foot prints were left in the muddy floor. The screams and shouting echoed over the land as their leader stayed perched in the sky with a few more. The mages were transmitting shields to a few of the backlined soldiers, they were elders and had good amount of power. Some shielded and some began raining down fire to stop the rain in due time.

The solders had reached the inns grounds. A couple with bows began to fire arrow lit with fire at the roof as it soonbegan to burn, there was no waiting around anymore for them, they’d have to get out now. Marcus sent down those in eagles, the birds screeched as their wings tucked in, diving down at great speeds. Marcus landed his bird not to far from the battle to give him a better view. There was around a hundred of them all together, this was only a portion of his men he’d sent to fight. His eyes were cold, he wanted the dragons and Natallia for that.

Leia

Leia jerked off the bed and into her feet. Wincing a little at the flare of pain in her body. It’s wasnt like they had much choice in choosing to trust the woman, Skorzah. What ever was happening seemed to be threatening and Leia really didn’t have any other ideas other that follow the dragon woman that healed her. “O-ok.” Her voice was soft as her hand firmly grasped Skorzah’s. A small sense of panic rose within her but Leia swallowed it down, used to doing so. Panicking won’t do anything good. She simply tried to keep up with Skorzah as best she could.

Something was burning, Paula could smell it. But she didn't have time to worry about it, hearing their crazy plan Paula highly objected- she didn't want to put her daughter at risk. But she also knew that it was probably the only way they were all going to be safe.
"I can hear them outside, she doesn't have long." She said trying to calm herself down. All there was left was to wait for Natallia's signal, then she'd burst into her electrical spell.

Vicky couldn't do much as she felt herself being dragged by Skorzah. She was watching her mother from the open door before she was dragged away. She too looked worried. Vicky resisted being dragged a little bit, she wanted to stay with her mother but Skorzah was too strong. Soon she gave up, even if she could escape she knew that her mother wouldn't let her stay here. She sighed and got on her feet and, like Leiah, tried her best to keep up.

Twenty five… twenty… Skorzah thinks to herself, hurrying out into the rain with the two girls. “Alright, now I promise I’m not going to hurt you, and I’m not going to drop you. That said, we gotta get above the cloud layer, so here we go!” She reaches for the cuff, and yanks it off, her form immediately responding, desperate to be free.
Pale skin darkens and hardens into black and copper scales, her body stretching and growing as she does her best not to roar. Circumstances aside, the release is amazing.

Ten… five…

The massive dragoness looks down at the two girls, and balances on her hind legs, spreading her wings. She takes one in each talon as gently as she can, and beats her huge wings, launching herself into the sky. She barely makes it up in time, just above the layer of clouds.

It’s only now that she looks behind her, praying that she wasn’t seen in the darkness.

Natallia counted silently, praying to Ena that Skorzah would have enough time to get the girls to safety. They wouldn't be able to escape without Skorzah coming back for them, but Natallia doubted they'd be able to get out of this without a serious magical fight. It was something she avoided wherever possible, but she was also prepared.
15... 14... 13...
There was a flash of light through the window behind her as Skorzah turned. Natallia nodded to herself, steeling her gaze to the wet darkness beyond her. "Steady... Get your spells ready..."
10... 9...
Natallia closed her eyes, and made everything go silent. She could hear nothing, see nothing, it was just her in the darkness of the inn. She was not someone to be messed with. She would walk away from this. Her brother would walk away from this. Paula would walk away from this. The only ones who wouldn't stood in the rain.
8... 7... 6...
She could hear her heart beat slower and slower. Her breathing calmed with it. Her eyes were still closed, and a memory flashed into her brain.
"Run, Nate! I'm going to catch you if you don't run faster!" Natallia cried. Little Nate ran away from her, giggling. Natallia picked up her skirt and darted after him. Nakia stood in the corner, her hand clasped to a thin, newly planted tree. Nate ran faster, his little legs pumping as he dashed to reach Nakia. He tagged her, and the two ran away, just missing Natallia's outstretched arms. "I'll get you one day!" Natallia yelled in mock anger. The two little ones laughed, and continued to run until Natallia picked up speed, picking both of them up and crashing to the ground in a big heap. They were all laughing and out of breath.
2... 1.

Natallia's eyes snapped open. "Give them hell."

Leia

It seemed like there was hardly any time to gasp at the transformation before her when the next gasp came at the talons gently plucking her from the ground. The instinct to scream as the ground was deafened by the pounding of her heart in her ears. Her arms clung to Skorzah as tightly as possible. Her eyes stayed fixed on the sight of the burning roof. Leia could feel the dangling ribbon in her hair falling off, surprised it was still there at all as it fell back to the ground.

The clouds felt cold and a layer of mist formed on her skin as they past through them. The sight of the fire disappeared and all that was left was the sound of the wind and Skorzah’s wing beats. Her mind raced and her gaze went over to Vicky. Captured in the other set of talons. Her mouth opened to speak but the words wouldn’t come. It would probably be of no use any way. She tried to just not worry and focus on something that would keep the fear at bay, but every sight just made it worse till she just closed her eyes and held on tightly.

((OOC: I'm making an executive decision. The rain is still going on, but the fire he threw on the roof is magical so it's still burning.))

(OOC: the mages were preparing to stop the rain as I put in my post. The arrows wouldn’t have been put out by the rain in actual history so assumed they’d still be lit.)

"Tlov Skream" Paula uttered with contempt, aiming both her hands forward upon Natallia's command. Out forth shot ten individual streams of pure electrical energy, though individual streams, each bolt was close enough for them all to be considered a part of the same large stream. The sheer force of the blast pushed Paula back as she adjusted her stance. She tried to keep her arms forward, despite them being pushed back from the force, she had to go as hard as she could right now, for her daughter's sake above all else. The bolt blasted straight through the door, splintering it and sending a small barrage of wood flakes at the attackers who were closer to the door. Once outside the bolt instantly separated, zipping from raindrop to raindrop, surrounding those caught in the rain. The troops at the front line were being exposed to enough volts to kill them twice. Paula had shot the stream forward for a full fifteen seconds before dropping to her hands and knees at the interior of the inn. The bolts outside ceased after their source had stopped, and those being shocked outside finally fell to the ground after being kept up by the electricity. Paula had hopes that she was successful in making a sizeable dent in their forces. Though she knew she had definitely not taken them all out in that one fell swoop. Her spell would not reach those who were far back, and if it did then the electricity may have lost enough volts by the time it did to stop the attack from being fatal.

"I'll be ready with another attack soon." Paula spluttered, she hadn't used a spell of that magnitude in quite some time, she forgot how much it hurt to feel your soul ring weaken, she had made sure to hold back enough to stop it from breaking. "I...probably haven't hit the ones at the back hard enough...hopefully they'll be a bit more likely to retreat after that...go and give them all you have."

Vicky wasn't paying attention to what was happening, she was too frightened to even process the fact that she was in the talon of a dragon, a being she had never seen before. She looked down after blanking out for so long, clouds. Clouds as far as the eye could see. "Oh yeah." She mumbled to herself, she recalled the events that'd led up to this in her mind. Then she remembered her mother, her mother was down there fighting. Vicky was beyond worried about her, she knew her mother was capable of fighting, but she was in her mid fifties. She was well past her prime physically and she wasn't the most refreshed experience wise either. She looked next to her to see Leia, the girl also looked troubled, but probably for an entire different reason. "I guess eventually we'll have some time to get to know each other." Vicky said watching the girl with her eyes closed. She wanted more time to at least try to befriend her. But for now, Vicky held onto the talon that she was clutched in and tried to speak as loudly as she could for the dragon carrying her to hear:

"S-sorry to bother y-you Miss Dragon...how much longer do you think it'll be before w-we reach the hideout?"

AgWordSmith AgWordSmith Eliasdagood Eliasdagood

Nate nodded at seeing the immense power and was quite impressed. Electric magic was pretty difficult to use and if it ever backfired it was sure to be very deadly. Nate aimed his hands forward and made an open triangle shape with his hands and chanted to words "Ultar Electum" And a large beam of electric energy shot forward in somewhat of a straight line. This attack was known for sometimes stunning nearby enemies within a few feet of the initial first hit of the blasts target. Nate watched as it wiped a lot more of the enemies in front of him but took time to catch his breath and make sure he didn't use too much of the magic, he may have trained a lot using electric magic but that didn't mean that he was perfect at it, not at all. He began to charge the same attack again as he waited for Paula to prepare herself.

Yatasal Yatasal Critical.Over Critical.Over

Natallia watched the electric magic zoom about, the rain an excellent conductive force. However it was letting up, and Natallia scowled in protest. Their electric magic did its job, dissipating into the atmosphere, and it took down a lot of mages. But it didn't take down all of them, and Natallia frowned. Why were there so many? Why here, why now? In all of her years as a dragon thief, Natallia had never seen such a large gathering of dragon trappers outside of a mine. It was unheard of, since normally they either worked in pairs or alone. The most she had seen was four brothers who were all trappers. But this? What was going on?
But she could ask her questions later. Natallia was about to shout another order to the two of them when the roof above her creaked. She had missed, somehow, the smell of smoke and heat now bearing down on them. Natallia glanced upwards, seeing just in time a large burning beam crashing towards her. She jumped to the side, catching herself on her hands as the beam fell, fire exploding everywhere. The edge of Natallia's cape caught on fire, and she stamped on it, snuffing the fire out. The fire burned fast, likely aided by some fire mage out there. Natallia cursed and coughed, trying to stand. The smoke was growing thick, but it didn't stop her from yelling, "NATE! Where are you?"
She whirled about, trying to see through the smoke. As far as she could tell, she had jumped into the center of the inn, away from the door and window she had been standing next to. Which hadn't been particularly smart on her part. Natallia coughed and barely choked out a spell that cleared the smoke away from her face. She couldn't see him, what if he was hurt? Natallia turned around, scanning the burning room. "Nate! Answer me!"
Another beam threatened to collapse above her, except there was fire and smoke all around her. The inn was on the verge of falling apart, and Natallia could see no escape. She couldn't end this way! She had been through too many battles, been in far hairier fights, been in way worse situations then this. There was no way she would die here. But she had no water spells, and the smoke spell she had could only clear smoke out of her eyes and face. It wasn't effective at anything else. There was one other thing, something she had never wanted to use. But she and Nate would need help if they were going to survive this. Natallia grabbed at a small satchel she kept at her side at all times, and reached in. She grabbed a small glass ball, filled with a magical powder. Natallia's eyes shot above her, the beam now a few seconds from tumbling towards her.
Natallia crushed the glass ball, feeling the tiny glass shards cut into her palm. The powder turned into a gas, and it dissipated into the air. I hope for all our sakes that stuff worked.
The beam lurched towards her, and so Natallia crouched, crossed her arms above her head and shouted, "Dileda!"
Instantly a magical force barrier created a dome above her head and jumped down to the floor, creating a protective seal. The beam fell, and the last thing Natallia saw was fire breaking through her force field.

By the time Nate turned around to hear his name called the path was nearly blocked, that didn't matter to him though, there was no way he was leaving his sister here. They were gonna make it out together. "Natallia hold on!" Nate followed her voice and picked up as many of the heavy beams as he could, there was so much smoke and it caused him to choke a bit. "Sis! Where are you." He seen a dome around her, one that didn't seem like it would last for long. He noticed she was unconscious and picked her up, she was pretty damn heavy but with the adrenaline pumping in Nate she didn't seem to weigh anything. "Paula! we need to make a run for it!" Nate suggested hoping she could hear him.

The booming voice of the dragonness made her jump and hold on even tighter to the talons. Leia didn’t open her eyelids till her feet touched the ground. One eye opened and the other followed, now beholding the sight of a dragon they went wide. Skorzah’s words rumbled into her ears, the girl’s gaze moving towards the cabin as Skorzah spoke. “Y-Yes Ma’am,” was all she could manage to say after the experience in the air. Her gaze moved from the cabin towards Vicky. She took a few steps towards her, wanting to stay near to some one. At least that they weren’t alone in this. Leia’s eyes dropped down to the wet grass, the rain making her feel cold again. Out of habit she waited for Vicky to go first, she would follow behind.

"Ugh," Paula groaned, struggling to her feet as the inn collapsed around her, she struggled to pick herself up. Though she heard Natallia’s calls she didn’t have the strength to help her now. That was until Nate called for her. Paula managed to stand, still aching slightly from the spell, she struggled as quickly as she could towards where she had heard the sound from Nate- avoiding any falling beams and flames.

“Nate, I don’t think running is the best option. There are so many of them out there and only two of us conscious.” She said looking at Natallia. “They’ll catch us, we need to hide. Do you know if this inn has some kind of bunker underground, If not then, I hate to say it, we do need to run.” She said waiting for a response from Nate, their next course of action would follow immediately after the answer.

“Get inside. I will return to the fight now.” Those words triggered a rather concerned look from Vicky. They carried so much weight coming from such a huge being, she had only appreciated her size as of right now- before she didn’t really consider how big she was. She heard Leia respond and watch as the girl walked over to her. Vicky could tell Leia was glad to not be alone, she felt the same way. Vicky gave a slightly nervous and awkward wave to Skorzah before beginning to walk over to the cabin, it wasn’t too far away but the rain wasn’t the best thing to be caught in.

“I’m guessing you don’t have any spells that to make an umbrella appear? Haha...” Vicky joked to Leia as their little walk began. If she were to be with anyone right now, besides her mother, she was glad that it was Leia.

Skorzah nods, and turns, leaping into the air once again. She flies faster this time, since she doesn’t have to worry about the safety of passengers. It doesn’t take her as long to get back. When she sees her house burning, she lets out a roar of fury, descending on the trappers below.

She’s a killing machine, all rage, claws, fangs, and tough metallic hide. And while she hasn’t been trained by another dragon, she’s still very experienced, practiced in taking out trappers like them. This is a very large group though, so she may have some trouble.

Leia

The Dragoness disappeared into the night, leaving her and Vicky alone in the rainy darkness. Her feet followed Vicky’s steps as the walked towards the cabin. Despite the dreary trek and the panicky circumstances the girl’s remark made her giggle a little. Though the small sound most likely got lost in the rain. To answer her she shook her head. Leia actually didn’t know any magic, in fact the thought of be able to know it never really crossed her mind. She knew how it worked though, but the thought of plunging a weird liquid into her skin made a cold shiver run down her spine. It was that or the coldness setting ino her bones. Soon they reached the cabin door, Leia did her best to quicken her pace so as to open it for Vicky. She wondered how long they would be stuck in this odd building, and about what was happening in the place she just left. At least Leia had some company and a dry place to be. Feeling very grateful to have at least those things.
