  • On the second floor of the guild there was one room that was very distinct from the others in how unlived in it seemed. From the day the resident of the room had moved into it to now there seemed to be no change to the room, no furniture was moved, no bags were on the floor, 90% of the time it was almost like nobody was even there, the other 10% of the time were times like these, when various pieces of the top half to an armor set were left on the floor, and a sword and shield were left lazily on a bed, all while a young man lay passed out on a desk in the upper left corner of the room. The lower half of his body was covered in armor, while a simple undershirt covered the top half. A few inches in front of his face there was a chessboard that was seemingly in the middle of a game that the black pieces seemed to be winning, to the left of that there was a black bound book with the letter L embroidered on the front that was being held open on a page by the young man's hand, then at the top of the desk sat a candle that had burned out hours ago. All of this combined with the small pool of drool accumulating near the young man's mouth made it clear he had seemingly passed out while playing chess, possibly with himself, in fact the sight was almost peaceful for a few moments.

    Then, the glass broke.

That's when the young man shot up and grabbed the black book, shoving it into a drawer in the desk and quickly putting on the top half of his armor! He then grabbed the shield and sword from the bed as he stumbled into the hallway all while struggling to put on his helmet! He called out as he made his way towards the stairs, "ATTACK! ATTACK! WE MUST BE UNDER ATTACK!" Before bounding down the stairs, slamming into the doorway just before Serena and Ryder walked out! The man in the heavy armor set spoke quickly and with a great amount of worry, "Ryder, what is the problem here?! I heard glass breaking and that means someone must be breaking into the guild or-or...oh Christ..."

After taking just a second to read the energy of the room, the young man sighed and pulled off his helmet to reveal the very feminine face of Oden, the person who had previously been the Guild's newest member before today, and also the only one to have not gotten used to the Guild's morning antics. Oden looked tiredly around the room and pinched the bridge of his nose with an armored hand, "Well, it appears I've just made a gigantic ass of myself...what's going on today that's caused the sound of hundreds of windows to break at once?"

Ryder
Ryder raised a brow, intrigued by what the new healer had to say about his choice in staff. Placing a not-so-welcomed hand on her shoulder, he would huff out an obnoxious laugh. "You make it sound like this guild can afford to be picky with its members, Serena! Don't forget that we are dead last and have been losing capable hands ever since. Be it the ever-lasting mockery of the guild, or the constant wars for supremacy, there is no room for complaining here, darlin'. If you blame everything solely on me, well, we won't ever get anything done now, will we?"

That was when Oden stumbled out of the hallway leading to the second floor. He was rambling about some kind of an attack, but when realizing the situation, assumed differently. Somehow, deep in Ryder's heart, he could already feel Oden's prejudice towards his leader, even though he should've been loved by his adorable guild members. "Don't look at me. If you have anyone to blame for making you look like an ass, it's Sede over there," Ryder would say, jerking a thumb over to his S-Class companion. Without a shadow of a doubt, the guild master had come up with a great idea, especially since Oden (his most loved serv- I mean, member) was here, he could finally ask something of the capable man.

"Sorry to make this sort of sudden, Nedo, but could you help Alister with welcoming the new recruits in? I'm a little busy showing our newest healer, the beautiful Serena, around the guild. Thanks in advance- Oh, also! Don't just call me by my name, you bigot! You must call me by my title, which is guild master to you. G-U-I-L-D M-A-S-T-A-H, understand? I have a reputation to withhold after all." Securing his grip around Serena, no matter how many smacks he was going to receive by a scepter, he would go on his merry way with that same old coy attitude, waving his hand back towards the others with a dismissive (and badass) strut.

As others left the ship, there was still one left. The young Zane was fast asleep within the cargo hold of the ship. If a sailor haven't gone down there for a drink he would've been there for awhile. The sailor nudged Zane with his foot, telling him to wake up. Zane slowly opens his eyes and looks at the sailor, yawning. "The others have already left. You're the last one still aboard." The sailor said to him. He yawned yet again as he stood up, smacking. He looks at the sailor. "Thanks mate, safe travels." He said gently slapping his face. Zane grabbed his sword and made his way off the ship.

As he reached the main deck, he saw there was some type of struggle going on in front of the guild. Zane placed his sword over his shoulders and started to walk off the ship. "Thanks for the ride." He told the sailors as he left. He walks up to the crowd. "Uh sorry to interrupt, but are one of you the leader of this..." He paused as he looks st the guild, and carefully spoke without saying what's really on his mind. "Nice (rundown) guild??" Light Light GingerBread GingerBread HTCOR HTCOR

    Vance, Isabelle, Julie, Zane.

    Location

Outside the Guild Hall, near the docks.

Alister decided to push himself up, glancing back at Vance for a few moments. His eyes watching over the man, before moving on forwards to the ship. His boots carried him towards the boarding dock, stepping onto the wooden dock. His pace was lazy still, as he moved past Zane. He'd be moving to talk to the captain, his mind already formulating a few ideas, and considering different ways to bargain with the man.

And so Vance and company was left behind as to do what they will, so would Zane.

Gurak

Gurak saluted Alister as the man headed out to start his day, going back to his dwindling fire with a whistle. It was a shame, that there weren't more people like Alister in this guild - but then again, if things were that easy, Gurak would already have it made back on mainland America. A restaurant, critical acclaim, and everything in between - looking around at the run-down guild around him, the orc had to wonder how he'd gotten here.

And then the chaos erupted. Sede and Ryder, like always, and their fighting. In Gurak cared about the building, he probably would've been driven insane by now, but at this point it was obvious that he didn't. He shook his head as chair and hard body connected, ducking back under the counter and dragging a pan with him too keep the work going. The orc had gotten used to it, anyways, and he'd found some creative ways to stay cooking. Resting the handle of the pan between two meaty toes, Gurak kept tossing the meat up and down while peering around the counter and waiting for the fight to settle.

Soon enough, it did, and a victorious (?) Ryder eventually moseyed his way over to the kitchen, new healer on his arm and all. The request for a feast went in one ear and out the other, and Gurak only gave a nod and a grunt in response, at first. It wasn't as if he was planning on giving them sparse pickings on meat-shipment day, after all - he was ready to stuff as much meat into them as he could tonight. "Sure, sure. As long as Alister brings more wood and that shipment's a good one, expect to sliding some meat down your gullet tonight." After that, Gurak stared Ryder down with a deadpan expression before the other man left, his hapless healer victim dragged along too.

After a while, noticing nobody had moved over to help their poor de-chaired co-leader, Gurak shook his head and grabbed a plate of meat, carrying it over to Sede. "You just gonna lie there?" He asked, setting the plate down next to the usually-spinny man. "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but you should probably eat up. I don't know how else to describe it, but that performance was pitiful. Have you been eating 'salads', or whatever weaklings eat nowadays?"

Maria

If there was one thing that could make Maria visibly flinch, it was definitely a shoulder grab. Some statistic of 90% of something starting with a shoulder flashed through her head, and she had half a mind to try and slice her aggressor to ribbons - before hearing something about a "guild-leader" and quickly stopping herself. The woman, Jayn, was clad in a mysterious manner, and to Maria, it almost seemed like she was exuding some sort of fearful - though that could be chalked up to an overactive imagination and Jayn's confidence. Eyeing down the other woman, the swordswoman only raised an eyebrow before falling to one knee.

"O-of course! I knew the tales of glory had to be true! It's truly an honor to meet you, oh great Jayn," Maria started, taking off her hat and activating kiss-ass mode. "And may I say your choice of decorations for this guild hall is certainly... exquisite?" She quickly fell silent as Jayn began pacing around her like some sort of predator, her smile fading as Jayn's did. The little jab about not meeting physical qualifications certainly sent a jolt down her spine, and Maria whirled to face Jayn with a second of anger before calming again. "Physically unfit? Nonsense! - I mean, of course! How could I even entertain the dream of joining this guild without being a peak physical specimen? I resent the thought!" After that, Maria quickly shut her mouth, though she soon wished she hadn't. The mention of a financial stipulation sent beads of cold sweat down her face, and if she hadn't been on her knee already, she would have easily crumpled to it. "I-I'm sorry, oh great Jayn, but I must have misheard you... did you say there was a 'fee'? A hefty fee? Say it isn't so! I can surely redeem myself in other ways, can't I?"

Celica
With a lurch, Celica found herself sitting up in the bed. Hastily trying to remove herself from under the covers, she tried to get to her feet, stumbling onto the floor with a sluggish movement. Her head was still pounding violently, making her crave for some decent sleep, but she couldn't find herself doing it. Not after getting so far. If she didn't hurry, then she'd miss her chance to greet Vance, or worse: not see him at all. Without much of a plan in mind, she attempted to head towards the doorway of Viktor's room, her wounds eating away at her aching body as she walked.

She used the furniture to move around, holding dearly for anything in contact. She couldn't just wait around anymore. There was a chance that Vance could've gotten caught up in that blast from earlier just like she did, causing Celica much more worry than was probably healthy for such a tiny girl. Either way, she had no reason to stay here any longer. If she could talk, she would've thanked Viktor for his hospitality, or Ryan for his worry, but ended up unable to say any of it. She'd just look back to the two as they talked, hoping she could sneak off without making a commotion.

A little idiotic, considering that she had already made enough noise to alert all the neighbors, but she was too tired to be thinking clearly, and she was pretty certain her vision was becoming hazier by the second. If she couldn't see Vance, she'd much rather be found trying, at the very least. That was her devotion towards him; to the man that saved her at her worst, and made her into her very best. The least she could do was greet him. He deserved as much, being that he was the only family she had left. So, with a tired hand, she would continue to head towards the exit, uncaring of her body and its harsh reaction to her violent movements.

Julie: As fast as the random encounter began, it ended. He had disrespected them all in the eyes of her people. That being said, Julie had to think on it from a different perspective. All culture and mannerisms couldn't be the same in each layer. Her mother also taught her to give others a chance until they wrong you beyond forgiving. Without another though on the matter, Julie dropped her bags and moved towards Vance. She stood in front of him, walling him off with determined eyes. Her hands latched on to the items robbed from Alister, tightly. "I'm sorry Vance, I believe we shouldn't treat him like this. He made no real threat to us, if anything we were the threat to him. I must go apologize." Unlike her sister, Julie didn't mind discarding pride for the greater good. Once Julie pulled the weapons out of Vance's grasp, she followed Alister and called out to him. A moment later she made an effort to face him. "I must apologize for the way we treated you back there. We're not from here and in our culture, the way you approached us was quite rude. I forgot that not every layer has the same culture. I hope you can forgive us for our previous misdeeds and see it in your heart to work with us in the future. Seeing that we'll be in the same guild. My name is Julianne by the way, you may call me Julie." Julie offers Alister a light bow, showing her apologetic nature in both actions and words. While bowing, she extends her hands out towards him. His weapons were resting in her open palms to retrieve. ( HTCOR HTCOR GingerBread GingerBread The Elder The Elder )

Alister's facial structure contorted- there was a lot of emotions running across it, as the facade finally dropped. He wasn't able to stay apathetic towards matters like that for long, especially as there was his life on his line- he rather liked being alive. It was how he was able to channel his soul into himself. Being alive, that is.

There was a distinct, nervous pause, as he lightly picked up the weapons, putting them away onto his belt scabbard, and the revolver into it's holster. He'd open his mouth, before shutting it again. Alister paused again, before crossing his arm over his chest. And so he went into a deep bow, much further than Julianne went.

"Thank you, Lady Julianne, for returning my life to me. I assume I did a mistake, however, I cannot pinpoint the exact cause of my actions which caused your companion to become threatening." He'd pause again, before straightening himself up to stand tall, and somewhat proud. "I am named Hans Alister by birth. If you require assistance, I can provide it- and most likely, Ryder and Sede have stopped fighting. They don't exactly...fight for a long period of time. Sede loses within the first minute or so, but it's...a danger zone if you're not careful."

He'd take in another deep breath, recovering from speaking for a bit. He'd flash her a friendly smile. "Piece of advice though? If you want a bit of...variety in your food past meat, you might want to look into the nearby village for trading for some of their crops. Or you can find some herbs and plants in the nearby area. Could cross-check it with notes left behind by old guild members."

He'd glance back at the docks, as the crew was unloading cargo- it would soon be mid-day, and the heat would only become sweltering. Most of the cargo would be carried in by Oden, Gurak, and himself, considering they were the strong people among the guild who actually cared enough about the supplies. Ryan normally fixed the place, so he was allowed to be exempt- Alister did try to get him firewood to replace parts of the table with. Gods above, this place was difficult to maintain at times.

After fusing at Sede and Ryder, Natalia grabs her slippers and makes her way back up to her room. There she decided to get ready for her day. After performing a bit of hygiene, she leaves her room, wearing her everyday attire; a white tunic and her golden metal armor. She walks down the stairs and looks around the guild. Everything thing seem to be normal within the guild. She looks over and notices Jayn talking to new face. She casually walks over and hears the newcomer speaking about there being a fee to join. "Most of the things Jayn has said to you probably was a lie. Especially the one about there being a fee." Natalia said as she approached the too. She looks at Jayn with a frown, then puts a smile back on her face as she looks at Maria. "My names Natalia, and may I say, you look quite strong. You somewhat remind me of an Amazon from Themiscyra. May I ask for you name and what else Jayn has said to you? I may be able to clear it all up." Loony_Bin Loony_Bin Lotusy Lotusy

Charlotte

'So this is what a large reward looks like.' Charlotte thought to herself while she tried to concentrate on where the guild was.
Her and Abigail were just getting back from a mission. They had to go to a small village and chase out some bunnies that were ruining their crops. Abigail wanted to go so she could see some cute bunnies. Turns out they were actually wererabbits, so it was easier for them to get rid of the ugly things. Well, for Charlotte it was. Abigail still thought they were cute. So instead they had to just kindly kick them out. The villagers rewarded the girls with some bread, herbs, and flowers. Charlotte planned on giving the herbs to Gurak...only because she had no need for them!

Charlotte looked over her shoulder to see if Abigail was alright. Her sister had tried to get them to become her friends but they refused. She was only a little bit sad about it.
"Abigail, how about I make you a flower crown when we get back? Maybe make it so it also has bunny ears?"

Abigail
Abigail had her arms crossed as she strolled behind her sister, pouting while doing so "Poor bunnies, all they wanted was food. How comes the village can eat food but the cute wittle bunnies cant. I think we should have gave our food to the rabbits. I'm sure they are super duper sad." Abigail unfolded her arms and put them behind her back and she started to hum with no consistency in tune. Abigail expression completely changed when Charlotte offered her flower crown. "I would love that so much! I can pretend to be one with nature! It would be soooo cool!" Abigail walked quickly and hugged her sister from behind "And I should make you one as well! You would look so adorable! Awwwww I'm dying thinking of you wearing one! If we run out of flowers I could just use the bread! It has flower in it and we don't want it to feel left out do we?" She giggled as she let go of her sister. She went back to just walking behind her sister, however now she had a sparkle I her eye and a grin.

Charlotte

Charlotte couldn't help but roll her eyes as she listened to her sister call those monsters 'little bunnies'. She couldn't understand how her sister could think any of them were cute. They were hideous and scary, they ruined the peoples' crops and made them go hungry! Whatever, as long as Abigail didn't throw a hissy fit.

Charlotte chuckled at what Abigail had to say about the flower crowns, slowing down a bit when she was hugged from behind.
"I hate to burst your bubble but, it isn't that kind of flower!" She said, joking with her sister. "But I bet that won't stop you." She slowed down, reaching into the basket to pull out a roll, giving it to her sister. "Here, take one before we get to the guild. Who knows if anyone will take them all or not."

Abigail
"I'm sure I could make the crown work somehow. I bet if I tried really hard I could make it work with bread." Abigail giggled childishly. She took the bread her sister was handing to her, debating whether it was worth trying the crown or not but her thought process was broken when her belly made a loud growl "Seems like the bread crown will have to wait till another day! Bon appletart!" And without further ado, Abigial took a bite out of the roll. Her eyes lightened up and she did a little twirl "Oh....om...wow si...sis! This rol..oll is real...ly good!" Abigail delightfully praised while still chomping on her roll. After she finished her mouthful she speed up to walk next to her sister, walking strangely as she completely faced her sister, she looked down at the bag "How many of these did we get? I could eat 100 million and 2!" Abigail started to salivate at her next thought "Imagine all the different type of sandwiches we could have! We could have cheese! And tomato! And carrot! And cake! Cake sandwichs are best!" Abigail's eyes twinkled, matching the sparkly crumbs around her mouth from the sun making them noticeable.

Julie: Julie had interesting thoughts swimming around in her mind. To further build relations within the guild, staying with Alister would be the better choice. That being said she would at least have to let Vance and Isabel know of her intentions. "I hope you don't mind me asking but I'd like to stay with you for a while and grow accustomed to the...unloading of the cargo. It should help familiarize me with the workings of the guild. If you're alright with me being your temporary companion I'll have to let my sister know." ( HTCOR HTCOR )

There was a faint double take as Alister looked at the woman. He'd quirk an eyebrow, before responding "I don't mind the help at all. We'll be bringing the majority of the crates to Gurak, as he has the fresh meat ordered. We might get a few to come out and help, just so you know."

And with that, he went silent, waiting for her to make her way back to her group, and come back.

Charlotte

And this was why Charlotte was the one carrying the basket. "They gave us more then enough. But we still shouldn't eat them all! There is a lot of different rolls and bread in here. Cheese bread, cinnamon bread. You can have sandwiches if you want, I'm just going to eat it plain." She reached down, picked out a cheese roll and took a bite.
She had seen the light. It stopped her in her tracks, not even noticing that her sister hadn't stopped with her.
"We have to hide these from the rest of the guild members." She said before she took more bites.
"Oh my gosh. Abigail you were right. These are delicious!" She had finished her first roll and was reaching in for the next one. "Here, since there is enough, we can have two for today.... Maybe three...but later!" She handed one more to Abigail, this one being a cinnamon roll.

I know I still have to post with two other characters and this post itself isn't very good, but I've been working hard recently, so I'm a bit to tired to worry about that stuff at the moment. I swear I'll have my other two posts up this weekend though

  • Oden sighed as Ryder walked away and was about to resign to simply doing as his superior asked, but just before he left he said to Ryder, "Fine, I'll do as you say, 'master'. It is odd however how a man who's walking with a woman he's surely soon going to be calling 'mistress' is going around telling people to refer to him as the one with the power. If you couldn't understand what I was saying there, I'm saying she's most likely going to top, on she's also probably going to be the one shoving things into your holes." And with that said, Oden quickly walked away...

Walking out to the front of the guild, Oden opted to simply wait at the front doors and greet people instead of seeking them out while he attempted to clear any remaining cobwebs from his head...

Maria

Maria could only stare back with desperate, pleading eyes, growing wider as Jayn's smile grew wider. "Please, oh glorious Jayn! There must be some other way!" She'd fallen hook, line, and sinker for Jayn's bluff, turning up her pockets for any change that some glorious god of luck would bestow her. "I promise, I'll work it off or someth-"

"Most of the things Jayn has said to you probably was a lie. Especially the one about there being a fee."

"W-what?" Staring up at the new woman who had uttered her deliverance from fee hell, Maria's eyes now held awe instead of tears. To the swordswoman, she was the embodiment of glory - strong, assertive - and a bit scantily clad, but that was unimportant. As Jayn and the newcomer began their exchange, Maria's head swiveled back and forth like a confused chicken. On one hand, she was angry at Jayn for attempting to extort her, but on the other... she did seem a bit sad. Even if it was for malicious purposes, Jayn seemed to be a person in distress - albeit financial distress - and Maria simply couldn't turn a blind eye to distress. "So if it's like you say... if I believe you instead... you'll forget the fee? W-will you really... spare my wallet?" She locked eyes with Natalia, her face of misery suddenly turning to one of resolution.

"I refuse." Staring Natalia with a deadly intensity, Maria flicked out her sword once more, stabbing it into her carved "M" and leaving it there. "If there's one thing I, Maria Guerra love, it's finding people who are so sure of themselves and telling them, 'no'!" She turned back to Jayn, but instead of bowing and groveling, the swordswoman saluted her former tormentor. "I won't let you fall to the scourge of poverty, Miss Jayn! If you can secure my fate with this guild, I will gladly help with your financial troubles, to every extent that my powers will allow!" The sheer stupidity Maria let out didn't seem to faze her at all, and an equally idiotic grin spread across her face as she threw away her perfectly good lifeline. "What do you say, Miss Jayn?"

Ryan & Bell
Ryan Silverthorne.png
Ryan was tempted to just let Celica go and try to walk all the way back to the guild. He was about to leave too, until Bell started yapping in his mind again. Don't you even think about leaving her! That's cruel! Of course it was, but at the rate this girl was trying to do... whatever it was, she was going to kill herself anyway. He watched the pitiful sight for a few more moments before sighing. "You're in no condition to be moving around on your own Celica..." With relative ease, Ryan picked her up carefully as to not rip the stitches she had just acquired and started walking out the front door of the inn. He wasn't happy with the fact that he was pretty much stuck with the girl for the time, but it was better than her dying in the street from her own stubbornness.

As he walked down the streets with the smaller girl in his arms he didn't speak, Bell on the other hand was more than prepared to run her mouth off. "Hey again!" Bell appeared on Ryan's shoulder just above Celica's head. "I'm glad you're still alive, and I really wish we could talk... my offer still stands in case you change your mind!" Ryan growled, not a growl-like noise, but a legitimate canine growl. "She's already told you no once Bell, what makes you think she's going to say yes this time?" Bell giggled, "Well she's not as grumpy as you for one, and she's got guts... something I think you lack." Ryan growled again at the shadowy cat, "Just because I let the guild implode on itself doesn't mean I don't have the guts to kick their asses. Besides, even if I did do something, they'd forget about it and destroy the place again anyway."

Serena had to give the guild master credit... he had guts. Too bad he was going to lose his balls at his rate. Another resounding *THUD* of her staff to his skull would do the trick for now. "You can show me the way, but you're not allowed to touch anymore. You might crush the herbs I have stored in my cloak, and then you'd get to pay for them yourself, unless the well being of your guild isn't as important as your sad attempts of romance." She made sure that she was out of his immediate reach in case he'd try again, and if he did, a good smack of the staff to ward him off. Maybe I could train a pet to attack him whenever he touches me... that might work... for a while. Whatever the case, she'd follow him throughout the guild as he showed her where everything was.

Abigail
"Whoa! that is a lot of different types! I want to try them all!" Abigail cheered, putting her hands in the air, she spun with excitement to the bread. After giggling a little Abigail realised that her sister stopped, so Abigail came to a halt as well. "Why did you sto-" Abigail saw the spark in Charlotte's eye, causing her eyes to sparkle as well. Abigail watched as her sister went on a tangent about the rolls and that they should hid them, she covered her mouth and muttered "Cuteeeeeee...." As Charlotte finished speaking, Abigail started to hope she could have something sweet to go after her way above average bread roll. "Sister mind powers! Thanks!" Abigail smiled as she took the cinnamon roll from her sister. "And yea! we should hid them! it will be like a game! And games are great!" Abigail cheerfully said before biting into her roll, she started to think of ways to hid the bread around the guild.

Natalia stood there with her arms crossed as Jayn decided to rant and whine about her plans being ruined. She grinned and waited for her to finished. After mocking the new girl and calling Natalia stupid she finally finish. "Are you done whining??" She asked. "So first Jayn, if you need new bullets so badly they instead of being lazy and coming up with a scam to get money quickly why not go do a damn job. That way you get money and you help them damn guild out. You could've also asked someone to spare a few coins." Natalia stated. She then turned her head to the new comer, who surprisingly started to fall for Jayn's temper tantrum.

Maria refused to know the true and agreed to believe Jayn, who clearly just said that Natalia was ruining her plan and who talked down about her. So Natalia between the three of them Maria may just be the stupid one. "Maria you're not understanding. This guild has no fee and if you or Jayn needed money you simply just have to do a job and you'll receive some kind of reward whether it be money, jewelry ,or both. Plus Jayn isn't even poor, she's just..." Natalia paused she wasn't really sure if she wanted to ruin Jayn's image and fully mark her as a liar and terrible person. She figured if she say she it was a prank Maria would believe it. "Jayn was prankish you Maria. It was just a Prank (bro). There is no fee what so ever." Loony_Bin Loony_Bin Lotusy Lotusy

Celica
Her wounded throat was the only thing stifling the yelp that threatened to escape her when Ryan scooped her into his arms. Embarrassment wasn't enough to highlight how she felt right about now, being carried around like a newly wed. How did this man have no shame, anyway? Ryan didn't seem the littlest big perturbed, walking with a prideful step, practically flaunting his strength as they continued through the town. It was evident that people had recognized him, too, because they either looked away in shame or spat in his direction. Celica didn't know it at the time, but the prestige of the guild was much worse than anything she had heard. That was what it meant to be on the bottom, after all.

Her frantic thoughts were met by a painful reminder of her inability to move. The weight of her own sluggish and frail frame kept her from attempting to escape the wolfish man's grasp. Instead, the dawning of the situation she put herself and the others in began to show itself, her eyes tearing up once more. How did things end up like this? She just wanted to see her brother, so why was she causing so many problems for everyone? Holding back a sob, her grip tightened on Ryan's shirt, her cheeks becoming a darker shade of red.

Then she pressed her face into his shirt, hiding her identity from the onlookers. Her body, shaking from her silent cries, crumpled into his arms. Celica was no longer fighting it. If this man was so willing to carry her all the way up to the guild, then she would let him. As of now, this was her time to vent before seeing the others. What would she do if they saw her like this? So, without hesitation, she poured out her feelings, not bothering to pay any heed to the cat that may or may not have been a figment of her imagination.

Ryder
"Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Ryder commented, watching as Oden trodded off to his position. Ryder would never admit it, but he always felt confused when talking with the man, his feminine ways always tricking the guild master into thinking some unfavorable things. If he wasn't careful, he might even mistake the man for something else entirely. Whatever the case, he was obviously upset, or tired, or both. Maybe he was having girl problems? Ryder would need to talk with him about it later. That's what a guild master did with his guild mates, right?

Another smack to the head interrupted him, the pactborn almost forgetting that he was supposed to be leading Serena around the building. Feeling one of his horns in order to make sure that it didn't break off, his demeanor shifted to that of pride once more, his hands moving to adjust the green beach shirt he was wearing at the time. "Of course I care about the guild! I take good care of them all, and I mean ALL of them," he would reassure, giving her a wink that was borderline heinous. "The situation isn't perfect, however. That's why we hired you. Your future patronage will be a great help, yeah?"

Watching the woman scoot away from him, he'd take the hint, keeping his hands to himself for now. Whether he liked it or not, he did have a job to carry out. Once he was done there, he was to host the recruitment party and introduce the first missions to the new members. It wasn't as much initiation as it was a need for money, so getting them to make some cash before their eventual departure of the guild (considering most people leave after about a week) was the first step. How else was he to keep the guild even a little alive? Money didn't just grow on trees. He already tried that, which ended up with Natalia smacking him around when using her undergarments as the 'fertilizer'.

"Here we are!" Ryder would announce, slamming some double doors open to expose the final place he was to be taking Serena on their little adventure around the guild. "This is the main library. There aren't too many books here, but I'm sure we have SOMETHING on herbs and such. Maybe it'll keep your chops up? I've got no idea how you healers work. Anyway, I've gotta help Oden and Alister with greeting the newcomers. Make sure to come down for the party later. I'll be waitin' for ya," he'd chime, walking past the woman, and leaving her to her own business. Maybe he should check up on how Alister is holding up?

The rest of the walk through the town was spent in silence as Celica wept in his arms. He didn't have anything to comment on it, and frankly, it wasn't his business anyway. He'd done enough for the girl already, and he wasn't going to pay any heed to the various strangers spitting insults and saliva in his direction. Bell had remained silent as well, even dissipating into nothing like she usually did. In the meantime, Ryan was left to his own thoughts, cursing the guild for the recklessness of their actions. The place was a sad excuse, and if it weren't for his loyalty and in-ambition to try joining another guild, he'd have left long before. As he approached the guild, he didn't walk toward the front entrance, he avoided it completely, walking around the building to the back entrance and taking her inside that way. He continued to remain silent as he made his way to the infirmary, his shoes barely making a sound as he passed through the halls.

As he entered the infirmary, he set Celica down on one of the cots, and was about to grab proper bandages had it not been for a woman in a white and red robe looking between him and Celica. "What in the bloody hell happened to her!? You know what... I don't want to hear it." *THUD* "Ow... what was that for you bitch?" The girl poked him back towards the entrance with her staff as she spoke, "Out, out of here you mangy mutt. I have a critical patient who's not allowed visitors right now. Go on. Get out of my office!" Taking the violence of this woman as a hint, Ryan left. At least the girl wasn't his problem anymore. Now he just had to find that idiot of a leader and tell him of what happened, as well as his shadowy companion.
Ow, what was that for you bitch?

Finally the tour was over. What a relief. She wasn't sure how much more of the leader, Ryder, she could have dealt with. Now that she was back where she belonged, the infirmary, things were beginning to go her way. She had finally rearranged the room to fit her needs, and even tossed out old equipment that was unneeded in her work space. On one shelf she had placed the few potions she had with her, as well as the various containers of extra alchemical herbs and seeds for those very herbs. Setting her staff aside, she began last touch cleaning before anyone started crying to her about a splinter, the last thing she needed to be concerned with. That was until a very unkempt man came in and set a girl on one of the cots, covered in stitches from some second rate doctor. The sight alone sent her into a panic and rage, one that only hell could match, if even possible.

Go on. Get out of my office!" Once the man had left, she sighed and looked at the girl. "Not even here a day and already someone's almost dead..." Walking to her shelf with potions, she grabbed one of the three health potions and quickly went to the girl's side, carefully popping the cork seal from its place. "Here, this is a health potion, it should help in jump starting the healing process for... all of this damage... However, you won't be able to talk for some time, that's a wound all of it's own. I'll do the best I can, but until I say otherwise, you're not to leave this bed. Understood missy?" Regardless of the child's answer, she'd make sure she didn't leave before Serena gave the green light, and poured a small portion of the potion into her mouth. The process would take some time since it most likely pained her greatly to swallow, let alone take deep breaths of any kind.
What in the bloody hell happened to her!?

Zane O'Conner
Zane looked back towards the ship as two of the members of the group walked towards it. He noticed that crew members were unloading boxes, carrying them to the guild. Zane took it upon himself to help. He walked towards the ship and nods towards a few of the crew members as he grabbed a box. He was told to take it to Gurak. He nods and walks into the guild. The first thing he saw were three women in a conversation. He simply walked pass them not wanting to have anything to do with them. 'Women are always in some type of drama.' He thought to himself. He looks around and spots an Orc in the background. 'Hmm maybe he's Gurak. I mean he does look like a Gurak.' Zane walked over towards Gurak and placed the box down. "Excuse me but do you happen to be Gurak?? I was told to bring this to Gurak." He looks down at the box then up to the huge Orc in front of him.

Julie: With Alister's sudden stop, she took that as a sign of agreement. So far, Alister was quite the agreeable man. Much like Vance if he decides to be nice once and a while. "Thank you, I'll be back soon." With a deep breath, Julie made her way back to the group she had previously frowned upon. "Hello, I apologize for my previous outburst but it's what I believe is right. I would like to stay here with Alister to build guild relations and see the inner workings of the establishment before we join. I would like for you to go ahead of me."

Isabel: Looking at her younger sister, Isabel could slightly understand why she wants to stay. Despite this, pride wouldn't allow her to admit it. "I don't know if I agree with it, but it's not like I can command you to come with us." That's right, this wasn't a demon or Vance. This was Julie, both her sister and a fellow nephalem. The only thing Isabel truly had over Julie was age. Julie wasn't even on the demon side of the scale. Which made her the better sibling in the eyes of their relatives on their mother's side. Whenever they'd visit, Isabel could tell she wasn't completely appreciated. Especially since she was supposed to be the heir to Hell, something she might pass on to another archdemon instead. If Isabel was looked at like a pitiable disappointment whenever they visited heaven, where did that leave Vance, a human? Isabel was staring at Vance absentmindedly once this thought crossed her mind.

Julie: Isabella's response wasn't the most endearing but it was slightly positive. Julie gave a light bow to Vance and her sister before walking back to Alister. "It seems like we're in agreement. So what's the first thing on our list of objectives?" ( GingerBread GingerBread HTCOR HTCOR )
