Futuristic The Codes of Humanity

Error suddenly halted, the scythe was being covered in green aura. Suddenly behind him a massive figure rose with a green energy scythe. It followed his movements as he cut down several buildings and Shades with it, leaving burning remains. He dispelled all the fears he collected and the flames seeked the remaining Shades and exterminated them.

She found another shade but was suddenly murdered. A bit surprised, she didn't question before walking back to where the others were positioned. Elle thanked the possible killer before being lost in her thoughts on her skills. She needed to get better.

Shura looked around, not seeing any more Shades. It seemed that they were finally all dead. He looks to Minerva and nods; his only goodbye. As he boards his hover board and extends it for Demi he wonders briefly if he should tell them where they plan to go but then decides against it. He was sure if Minerva really needed his help she would be able to find him. Shura looks to Demi now, offering her a hand.

"Oh, hey weird guy! But huh .. what do I fear?" He blinked.

"Eh, you're asking the wrong guy, honestly. But if I had to be afraid of something, probably gonna have to go with 'what I do when I'm bothered', 'cuz that guy is 100% Cataclysmic." He paused. "Er .. well it's the same guy no multiple personality nonsense or anything .. I just tend to not worry about things like 'collateral damage' and 'body count'."

He puts on some pants on and jumps out the window, barefoot and shirtless. He grins as a thought comes to his head. "So many corpses, must be one hell of a profit waiting for me." He flies at top speed towards the battlefield.

Adrian sat on the roof top of his apartment building. From here, he could see the smoke and debris of the fight with the Codes and Shades. He flicked his cigarette butt over the edge of the building, breathing out smoke. The wind nipped at him, and he stuffed his hands in his coat.

Jogging towards the stairwell, be regretted not being there, but by the time he had turned on the news, there was nothing more for him to say.

Codes fighting shades, Codes beating shades, HDF losses, Shadowlords escape, yadda yadda. He wrote his article nonetheless, and submitted it via email.

It had not been five minutes since he had tossed his burnt out cig, when he reached into a jean pocket and pulled out his pack. Scrawled on it in black marker was, "I can't can quit no prob."

It was still early morning, there was plenty of time for Adrian to write an interesting and fresh story.

Now, if he could interview a Code. Now that would be a story worth reading. He could see it now, "Mr Code, how did you kill that Shade? What are your secrets? Do you expect to be working with the Human Defense Force more often in future?" It would be a hit, an absolute hit.

Coat on, keys in pocket, Adrian went out in search of a Code to pick at.

"Promotion, here I come,"

Koga sighed as he sunk into an exceptionally cushioned black chair. He'd been called into work early today; so early, in fact, that it was still dark out when he got up and he didn't even get to tell his wife and daughter he was going. He'd had to leave a note. There would be a meeting soon, most likely about the Codes crashing. None of the debris from the Code complex ha made it to Ceres City, where he lived, but the City of Brush had taken quite the beating. Apparently some of the Codes us even been spotted there. He understood very well that there was a lot to discuss - he just wished it didn't have to be this early. Koga sighed once more.

"This will be a long day, I'm sure."

Error was about to return to his motorcycle when his Heartgaze saw a person with a coat. He rode to meet the person. "..." He said, asking him what he wants. His Heartgaze picked up an intent to take something.

He arrives at the scene and starts searching for corpses. "Now. What can i take from here that's valuable?" He walks around casually walks amongst the smoke, rubble and fire, his cold blue eyes scanning the area as he whistles a joyful tune. He stops and sniffs the air. "So much death has happened hears. He hears someone coughing and strolls toward the sound. It was a woman holding the sheet of her now deceased child, she coughed and sobbed. He stood there watching as his hand slowly reached for his necklace. His tone goes cold and harsh as he looks down to the ground, now clutching his necklace. As his intentions become clear he mutters to himself. "Let no one say i am without mercy." The necklace turns into a flaming black whip, he lashes it at her temple. The tip penetrates her skull, allowing the fire to quickly spread and incinerate her from the inside. Her last breath was one of black smoke. He walked away whistling as her body flopped to the floor, smoke still pouring out of every crevice in her body. "Profit. profit. profit. Who's a guy gotta kill to get some profit?" He chuckles to himself as the whip turns back into a necklace, wrapping itself around his neck.

Naomi climbed down from the tree she had fallen in with a serious headache following suit. Unfamiliar with the sight in front of her. " So... This is earth.. " After the small moment of serenity she began to panic abit.

Koga walked out of the meeting room with a serious expression plastered on his face. It had barely been a day and things were already getting heated from what he knew. Most of his equals as well as his higher ups were concerned over what the Codes may do and whether or not they could once again be controlled. Personally, Koga found their worrying stupid, especially when their real enemy, the Shade, were still lurking about. He didn't think it was time for them to worry over the Codes loyalty. In fact, now was the time for them to try and be nice. They needed their assistance, not their servitude.

Damien picks through the rubble, taking what he can get from the area and the bodies of those caught in the middle of the battle. "So far there's a decent amount of money ." He sighs. "Mostly pocket change though." He sits on a mound of rubble and bodies and tosses some pennies on the ground. "This is practically a waste of time."

He doesn't bother to turn around. "Can I help you?" He scratches his bare chest and looks at his bare feet.

He looks over his shoulder, smirking. "Seems you're not all stiffs." He reaches into his pocket and hands error $900 in cash." Maybe another time though." He stands up. "I'm sure you know this but working with them won't bring you much." Puts the money in errors hands before flying off toward his house.

Error shrugged and rode away to Elle "...?" He said, asking her if she wanted a ride somewhere or if she would ride with HDF.

Shura watched the exchange between Error and Damien with little expression as he waited for Demi. He didn't see what fun they found in beating on humans. It seemed boring to him. The humans were so much weaker after all. Why try and hurt them? Even if they were criminals; it wasn't their business. Humans could handle each other.

Nathan stood over a pathetic excuse for a man, groveling kn the ground, begging for mercy and trying to bribe him with money.

"Shut up!" Nathan yelled as he sent a metal pipe through the mans left arm. He had already impaled him in both thighs, knees, and his other arm.

"Just shut up William! Just shut your dirty mouth and take whats coming to you! You think ill let you go? After you tore my hair out daily? Beat me senseless? Spat on me? Called me worthless? No, no youre going to die, William. And im gonna make it painful..."

The man was about to scream again until Nathan sent one last pipe through the mans stomach and watched him finish bleeding to death.

Once the bastard was dead, Nathan turned and left the room that he had cornered him and six others from his childhood in. He chuckled at the fact that one of them had had a metal plate in his head from a skull injury and closed the door. He walked back out onto the city streets and morphed into the crowd of people walking by. He had gone unnoticed.

He flies over the city towards his house with his ill gotten gains, passing over Nathan without noticing it. He lands in his window, dumping everything on the floor. "Woo! What a day!" He closes his window and closes the curtains. "Maybe i'll take a shower first" He starts taking off his pants. "Gotta be squeaky clean."

Minerva tapped on Extant's hand hesitantly. "I gotta go back to HQ," she said. With a glance over her shoulder, she saw all the cars were either crushed, melted or thrown some place or another. She scratched the back of her head. How am I going to get there? I need to report...

She glanced about, looking for a usable car or vehicle. "Either put me down or help me look for a car," she said plainly to Extant. "I will not be riding on a motorcycle thank you," she said, thinking of Error's motorcycle and cringing.

Koga walked into his home, loosening his tie with a sigh. It was a Friday; a Friday in which his daughter did not have school so he assumed she would be around the house today - he thought. As for his wife, he wasn't sure if she would be home yet. She was currently visiting family.

He stands in the shower, his hair covering his face as the water runs down his body. He just stands there under the water, spaced out imagining a scene from one of the shows he watched earlier. "Man that show is awesome." He starts singing the intro to the song.

Naomi wandered off in to areas not sure of what to do. "where am I? " . Naomis headache had still been there from when she fell from code complex. As she continued to walk towards buildings she was able to see people.

Elle hearing a familiar rumbling of an engine before looking up to see Error offering her a ride of her choice. She could use some relaxation based on what had happened recently, but she still had the nagging feeling of her curiosity boiling inside for the HDF. What could have happened with the Code Complex? Could there be any other possible things she needed to know as a code. Looking away, still lost in decision. Her trust has not yet deepened for her to go anywhere with the HDF. Elle glanced toward Error, smiling sweetly before telling him she wanted to ride somewhere else.
