Fantasy The Break of Dawn - The Four Elements Sequel (OPEN TO ALL)

Tai glanced at Jake, observingly as he was not familiar with him like the man said he should of been. Immediately after he walked in, Tai felt himself adressed.

"Too weak?" Small puffs of air became steam as Tai's body began to heat. "I'm just as strong as anyone else around here!"

This was the exact reason Tai hated those placed in leadership, and would not allow himself to be slandered in such fashion. Tai's previous calmed faced was painted with a grimaced expression.

"What makes you anymore qualified than me?!"

After saying this Tai snatched his blade from its scabbard, "I'm sure things can't get much worse out there," He gestured toward the burnt town square.

"Why don't we just go see, who will hinder who?"

"Oo a person acting noble, that's original." She thought with sarcasm. "I don't really appreciate the sass" She said towards the man."there's a reason why I was called to this meeting and you were outside the door. Remember that." She didn't need to prove herself to him, but it was the generals choosing after all. She was originally selected to be the water representative at first but she rejected it, maybe that was her mistake, then again maybe not.Aeson seemed to have everything under control or so she suspected. She watched as the boy steamed up, throwing a fit so she decided to stop it. Irene turned to the representative "we are only going to retrieve information, it doesn't matter how strong he is for this mission, as long as he is capable to keep up. Anyways He did survive out there didn't he?" She said as she wink towards the boy.

"Hey Irene Its been a while" Jake sat in his chair fiddling with his figures and looks at Irene "I just came because I thought I could help, But first I have some questions what were those things we just fought out there?"

Clara nodded as she followed after Tai and saw how he almost ruined the moment. "Ah, what he's trying to say is we volunteer to help out if help is needed of course." She had her hands behind her back and told the reps, "I'm all in too! If, ah, it's alright with you sir." Clara looked at Aeson with pleading eyes as she was actually happy to get out of the kingdom for once

AESON

Do you really think you're as strong as me? Aeson's eyes widen in anger, his teeth exposed like the fang of a growling wolf. It took every ounce of self control that he had to suppress the urge to slaughter the boy right where he stands. His rage engulfed him, tinting the room a red-ish hue, and everybody who was within that room disappeared except for the boy in question.

"Do you think I just got here by chance?" Aeson got louder and louder as he continued his speech, his voice also increasing in frustration, "I just magically woke up one day and became a representative of the water wielders?" He was almost shouting by this point. "You're nothing more than a wannabe hero who wants to make a name for himself, a weak little bastard who doesn't know what war is actually like, a naive little kid - still dreaming and hoping." Aeson glared at his eyes, waiting for a response.

(( scary O.o ))

"I..." Tai's eyes flared in response. He could feel the energy, the oppressive and dark energy coming from this water representative. Everyone present in this room, knew Tai was outclassed, except him of course.

The metal of his blade began glowing a red hot for a few seconds, before Tai regained control and practically smashed his sheathe when putting away his sword.

"I don't want a name..." He said with a great heave of breath steaming from his nostrils. His hands collapsed upon themselves so tightly you could see the whites of his knuckles.

"I just want to help." His rage anger and determination, all of it gone as soon as it came. Suddenly replaced with regret, and solitude. He had heavily disrespected these leaders, who had worked to gain their titles, Tai was in no place to challenge their authority.

"Please forgive my recklessness..." Tai said with glossy eyes, and a deep bow, retreating behind the rest of those in the doorway.

Alright, calm down” That was enough. Everybody could turn against him and insult him and say mean shit about him, but he seriously hated when other people called somebody weak without knowing their potential. He couldn’t STAND people like that man who was making a show and obviously, making a fool of himself. “With all due respect but you got no reason to be insulting him” He stepped forwards, his yellow eyes narrowing and challenging those red ones. People like this man were the ones that got under his skin and made Isaac seriously hate humanity.

Isaac looked back at Tai, frowning at the sight of his eyes watering up.

“To be honest—“ He motioned towards the long haired fellow who had bowed and turned around after his words, “I prefer having people like him in my army than having a thousand of people like you—“ He sweetly smiled towards the water bender. A sweet kind of smile that would make anybody's teeth rot around” Go ahead, kick him out of the meeting if you all liked, but Isaac stood his ground with great satisfaction. Oh, not once did he regretted saying those words.

'I lied. I think i'll cover your ass one more time'

Irene was stunned by the sudden out burst she got up in effort to calm Aerson down"There's no need to be so harsh , you have nothing to prove. You've demonstrated your authority well enough. " She looked at Tai with pity in her eyes. She could honestly tell that he just wanted to make a difference and didn't want to stand on the sidelines, she turned to Aerson once again, starting to feel empathy for once in her life before saying. "I'll take full responsibility of him, by the end of the mission he'll be stronger than before. Anyways like I said this mission doesn't involve a lot of strength, just stealth."

Jake thought about this mission "I have some equipment if anyone needs some for the mission" Jake racked threw his mind thinking of some good equipment"Hmmm If I get that balloon working that would be pretty stealthily, Crossbows, some gillie armor, Jake did not really know why he made this stuff he was bored and he had plenty of money from his father so he built." Feel free to ask I might have it"

Irene smirked at Jake. "Jake you're a genius!" She was glad that Jake was back especially as an inventor. Thank god there was a science person in the group or else she didn't know where they would be.

Min Lao Shi had simply gazed upon the floor during this frustratingly immature exchange. Min Lao Shi could never understand why Aeson always sought out conflict. This council was quickly spiraling out of control. And it was disheartening.

"I've heard quite enough." Min stated, just loud enough so everyone could hear. "I will be joining the scouting group. I must see and understand this evil for myself." Min looked at Tai and Aeson. "The necessity here is that we are not seen. That we do not instigate another attack. Any, in this room, who believe themselves capable of this, should come as well." Min smiled warmly at Tai. "Your humility speaks to your maturity, child." Min approached the young fire bender and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "The ability to suppress your flame is a gift wielded only by the wisest of your kind. Never lose that."

Aeson snapped out of his temper, his eyes turning back into it's usual dull amber colour. He realised that he is causing a major interruption in the middle of a meeting. Jesus Christ, I thought I wasn't going to get angry today... he thought to himself.

"Suit youself." He grumbled towards Irene before walking out of the room, closing the door quietly behind him.

"Thank you Irene" Jake said with thanks, that was probably the first complement he got from Irene for the 2 years he has know her. Jake stood up"Just make some request and I will try to make it or I might have it"

(I gota go to sleep I might be on tomorrow don't know so byeee)

Irene sighed at the fact that the two left the room without really settling when they were intending to leave or not but she figured that she would have to do it herself. "Alright we will be leaving in the morning. the sooner we get the information the better. Everything needs to be set and ready for when we depart." she turned to Tai remembering her awful mistake of taking him under her wings, she didn't know what was wrong with her especially feeling empathy all of a sudden. Seemed like every time she was around the group she's gone soft on people. "You're with me Kid. I told him by the end of the mission I'll make you better and that what I plan to do, I'm not a fire wielder personally but I've been around long enough to teach you a thing or two, maybe even lightning if we get to that point. We start training ASAP. starting with how you handle your petty excuse for a sword, is that clear?"

The turquoise haired man couldn’t help but stare at the raging water bender exit the room with a satisfied glance. He had a feeling he’ll be seeing more of this fellow, but anywho, this was pretty much decided and Isaac was sure that no other word could change the outcome. Good job, bud The man took great pleasure into seeing Tai being recognized as he was approached by the Earth representative. He couldn’t help but to stand on the side and watch Tai like a proud father. Call it cheesy, but Isaac did enjoy when good people got what they deserve. A defender for justice, that’s what some people might label him as. And no, he had no interest in being a hero, he was just doing this for Gale. He guessed his lover’s habit of defending people stuck onto him as well…

The meeting seemed to have almost come to an end, and he had nothing else to do for that matter. The scouting mission was approved, along with their help, so his job here was done.

Isaac turned and also exited the room, knowing that the generals weren’t going to assign the groups quite yet. He sure hoped that he would get to work with Tai though, but that was something that only the future will decide. He left without another word, not wanting to interrupt Tai and the fire lady as they both talked. You know, now that he thought about it though, he liked that earth guy…He sounded like the grandpa that you always loved.
‘That man had very dangerous eyes’ Isaac blinked, looking down at his ring when that deep voice suddenly spoke “Who? Water boy? No way, I bet he was some kind of spoiled momma’s boy that gets mad when he doesn't like something” Whoever heard him talk would deemed him crazy, after all, nobody else could hear Venus’s voice but him. ‘You should watch out for people like him.' “Stop worrying so much, you sound like my dad”

‘……..’

He waited for another comment, but it never came. Isaac simply sighed and rolled his eyes.

The academy grounds were now empty; It seemed the guards managed to get everybody settled and out of the scene. Two of the men keeping watch nodded at him as he passed the gates and he politely nodded back,
“Good work gentlemen”

Watching as everyone finished with what they had to say the young general felt the desire to stand up and shout at them all for trying to compare who was strongest, she even had the same look on her face but didn't say a single word till the Earth representative spoke to the others.

Aria stood up with a sigh:
''There is no point in all of us going, in fact if the people on the expedition get trapped or if they take too long and the shadow kingdom strikes again we need people who can fight here too''

she looked at all them annoyed at all the excitement that now descended on them thinking they'd go discover something new: ''I am all for the idea of peace but I'm not about to leave the kingdom unprotected by sending all the best wielders AND all the element representatives away''she took a pause before adding: ''A total of six people led by two representatives shall go. The rest will stay with me and help secure the kingdom.'' she said with an expressionless face looking at the other representatives to back her decision.

Lyra agreed with Aria. "Putting all of us reps would be like suicide." She decided to take authority, for once. "Aria and I will stay back to watch the kingdom." She nods at Aria. "So Aeson and Min Lao Shi will lead the group. If you want to participate, I would stay if I were you." She looked over at Tai and Isaac before seeing Clara come out of what seemed like nowhere. "I'll go! I'm more than capable, ma'am." She stood in front of the reps with a smile, "And they are too." Clara gave Tai a quick embrace before looking at the reps. "It's your decision, of course. It's only a scout mission. "

(( who is going? Lol. And maybe make it 5 including two reps ))

Jake pondered this question for a while, He was one of the only bow wielders in the room and to mention the air bending, but he could stay and try to research whats going on. Jake stood up "I'll stay and watch the town but if i'm not going I need a favor....... I need someone to take notes of these demons, how do they act, If you could capture one that would be nice but I doubt that will happen, in the mean time i'll work on a security system here" Jake sat back down.

It took Tai's very willforce to stay in check whilst the remainder of the conversation preceded. He remained in thought as the others talked for a bit, mostly about his lightning bending again.

I need power...and when i have it, people like HIM won't have anything left to say to me.." Tai exhaled a deep shuddering breath, turning his eyes once again to those before him.

Tai's eyes widened when he heard Isaac defending him, Tai would've no doubt done the same, but up until now he wasn't sure if he'd actually made a friend or not. He nodded silently as Isaac made his statement.

Tai's eyes widened even more when he heard Irene make this statement about watching over him.

I'm not some child... Was all he could manage to think. But he did not turn down the offer, fully acknowledging that he was the least experienced in this room.

The others continued talking, but Tai lingered on the words of the Earth Representative. Those stuck with him the most, no one had ever applauded him for his ability to keep calm. Simply because that ability didn't really exist. "Thank you.." He said silently.

Irene looked towards Tai, said something that he didn't really catch. However, Tai knew that she was taking responsibility for him, so he showed her the respect due to any master. He replied to her unheard words with a solemn nod, and a "I'll go," Replying to the words of Aria.

A mark of firm resolve stained Tai's face, he would make a good impression this mission.

Jake looked at Tai with curiosity "Wait so your a lightning bender?" Jake thought about some of invention he could use this power for "Yes I could use your power for some of my inventions, I could really use your help if your interested."

"And I too." (Is that english lol) Clara said as she took her weapon with pride and looked at the reps. Lyra looked over and Aria, and mumbled, "So it's decided? Min Lao Shi and Aeson watching over Tai, Clara, and Isaac. Let's see what they can do." Thea looked at Irene with a smirk, "you're responsible if the boy fails or worse." She was happy that they would have some time together, and would rather do that then a scout mission.
