“……” Everything was just a disaster…Who knew that their joyful experience would turn out like this? But then again, Isaac was already experienced in nice moments turning to be the worst. The man couldn’t help but to stand there as he looked at the direction where everybody was running to. Children cried, parents grieved, teachers called out to everybody to get out of the scene. But he just…stood there. Not even Venus, his wind dragon, could stop that monster. The professor looked down at his golden ring; It’s eyes had turned black…Venus was back in his slumber. He wasn’t a power Isaac could summon at every second, it strained the man greatly, leaving him panting from breath. Though even so, he had been useless to stop this. No, he had been useless in general.

Isaac turned towards the man who had offered his power to stop the crazed demon-whatever-he was. It had been too late though, before both of them could attack again, the man was gone. His yellow eyes half lidded, slowly letting his hand fall down to his side, “
Would you help me take the children back to their parents?” He told the young man with a weak, fake smile. “They must be worried” And with those words, the wind adept turn around and started walking through the black air, leaning down to carry a crying boy. “It’s ok, don’t cry. I’ll take you back to your parents” He tried hushing the little boy, but his tears kept spilling down his cheeks like a never ending river. “S..Sis…. Sis!!! My sister!!” The little boy cried, clinging onto Isaac’s shirt. “H-…he…T-t…ook…s-…sis!!”

It wasn’t until his eyes trailed down to examine the crying boy that his brain stroked him familiar. This little boy had the same hair, the same eyes, and almost the same features of his twin sister…That certain little girl who had made him the drawing this morning.

( I cry Omg ))

"Ugh.." Tai lost focus at the blast of energy emitted when the demon disappeared. The fire slowly dwindled out, until it was just a few cinders falling to the ground. Tai gripped his sword handle with his left hand tightly, until the white of his knuckles could be seen. "This is so..."

Tai was pulled out of the thoughts at the sound of the airbender's voice. "Help? Of course i can ser. Can i ask your name?" Tai hastened his step to match that of the airbender. Silently trailing him. Tai then took a few steps back at the sight of the boy, distraught over the lost of his sister.

"Oh man...we've got to go after her. Right?" Tai places his right hand on the man's shoulder, still gripping his sword handle with his left hand.

Deep breaths in.....Deep breaths out.

That is how each of his meditation sessions began. An indescribable peace of mind that was truly incomparable. For Min, it took mere minutes to achieve perfect tranquility so that he could reach out and attune with the Earth. Everything around Min turned dark. All became silent. And then he heard it.......whispers.

Min focused his mind solely on what the Earth was telling him, but he couldn't hear. What Min did hear, however, was subtle crying. The sobbing sounded.....human. That is when Min heard the whispers more clearly.
"The shadow nation rises. An urgent message comes to you, Lao Shi"

Knock Knock Knock

Min Lao Shi snapped out of his meditation from three rapid knocks on his door. Normally, a request for entrance was always offered as a courtesy. This time, however, his son Ken Lao Shi came bursting through the doors. "Forgive me father.." he said, bowing deeply. "..but the kingdom has been the victim of an attack by a great evil." Ken rose and stood at rigid attention, speaking loudly and proud. "I, personally, led a contingent of earth benders to make safe the streets, and killed a few of the demons along the way."

Quietly and slowly, Min turned to face his son. "The Kingdom is safe now, yes?" Min knew that something else was happening, or else the Earth wouldn't have warned him about an urgent message.

Ken's face poised a moment of discontent before returning to normal. "It appears so, yes, but Aria of the Air Nation is requesting all representatives to meet with her.....and father," Ken looked at his father with concern. "..Our people are getting anxious, wondering why such a meeting is being held. There are already whispers of war..."

"There will be no such thing." Min immediately replied. Min Lao Shi let out a heavy sigh. Indeed, a Summit of all the elemental leaders was cause for concern, but panic and gossip was the worst thing people could do right now. Great Evil or not, rushing to war was also an inadvisable approach. Normally, Min had Ken or Hale Lao Shi handle issues within the kingdom. For this meeting, however, Min sensed that the other leaders needed to hear reason.

As if on queue, that is when Hale entered the Sacred Hall. "I will ease the minds of our people, Father..." she said softly, bowing before him. "...that is, if you wish to leave for this meeting." Hale was the polar opposite of her brother, Ken. While Ken was a valiant, hard, and ambitious warrior, Hale was a soft, warm-hearted, quiet girl.

Min bowed to his children, signaling to them that they could stand and move about freely. "Thank you son, Thank you sweetheart." he said, smiling to his children. "I will exit the palace and leave for this meeting at once, please ensure that our people remain calm and quench these rumors of war."

Ken and Hale looked at their father in surprise. After all, it wasn't often that Min left the Sacred Earth grounds. They both bowed before Min and left the room.

Min Lao Shi wrapped himself in the formal attire of his ancestors. A dark sage robe with a single golden stripe across the chest. He grabbed the staff, which was a shovel, passed down from his ancestors and exited the palace. The brilliant sun glimmered on the Kingdom as Min made his way down the streets. Many residents approached him, bowing, and exclaiming their joy in seeing him. Min Lao Shi smiled and responded to each one as he made his way to the Air Temple.

AKI

The laughter of students and adults alike turned into screams and cries of pain - immediately casting a wall of water around him and as much students as he possibly can, gesturing them to follow him after doing so. What is going on? he questioned himself as he picked up an injured boy, I thought that the war has finally ended, damn it all! Aki produced a look of frustration as he tried his best to rescue anyone he can find.

"EVERYONE, WITH ME!" He exclaimed, looking behind him briefly towards the crowd of people behind him, and within the safety of his shield. "I ain't much of a fighter, but at least this shield will keep us safe!" he shouted again, laughing a little towards the end of his speech in an attempt to lighten up the situation.

After a little while of hiding, using the now half destroyed school building as cover, the voice of a - let's just say, too cheerful individual, at least in that situation, rang out with a deafening tone. Aki's heart sank after the message was delivered - his hands bunched up into a tight ball, and his eyes widened.

War has finally descended upon us.

AESON

Aeson stood still and watched the flame rise from the academy. Blood curdling screams echoed throughout the city, replacing the laughter and cheer of the crowd that was there not long ago. Watching the distraught parents and kids scatter away from the academy, Aeson launched a small ice spear towards one of the beast, which instantly dropped onto the ground upon impact.

An uncontrollable grin appeared from Aeson's face - his teeth mimicking the shape of a crescent moon - his bloody, red eyes seemed to glow, as he launched a barrage of attacks upon multiple enemies.
Pathetic, running away from such a weak creature, so fragile and brittle, so soft and bendable, so - weak. he thought, his eerie smile slowly growing wider and wider.

War has finally descended upon us.

Meeting: @Mr jake @TeaLeaves @whomever else

Thea glanced over at Irene as she followed after Aria into a part of the building that wasn't burnt to a crisp. She saw that Lyra was already there, looking out the window at the destruction. Thea could tell she was scared---she shook slightly every few seconds. Thea stood, and rested her back against the wall as she waited for the meeting to begin. Lyra did the same by sitting at the large wooden table, looking at the others with worry.

Clara was sent to guard the meeting, and was there watching the famous, well known people start a meeting. She saw their dull faces as she looked away. Many died that night, and couldn't save as many as she could have....she didn't like that. She wanted to do something about it.

Irene walked not to far behind Thea, not really in the mood to lighten the situation. Just when it seemed like the world was starting to find peace they were being set back into the same dark place as they've been before. She looked at Cynthia as she glanced back worried about what the outcome would be but she responded in a gentle glance, placing a hand on her shoulder, leaning towards Thea who was currently against the wall. "We'll be ok Thea, I promise you'll get through it just like we did against the fire kingdom, maybe even better since the gang is more experience in fighting." Irene looked at her, realizing she was shaking out of shock but didn't know what to do.

The air general leaned against the meeting table facing the ground as she let out an audible sigh, she was so furious that a great wind swept the room, shaking everything on the table and some of the statues in the corners as well, the flames of the candles growing ten times and flickering. After a long pause Aria looked with an expressionless face at everybody, the image of the kids burning alive and that laugh.....that laugh never leaving her head. After seeing the shock and fear in the others faces she decided that the best thing to do was to just start.

'The shadow kingdom is a very old one, some even say it's older than time. It's actually an empire that whenever other kingdoms or empires become strong, marches on them bringing destruction.'' The air general straightened herself up and put her hands behind her back and continued:

'they think that by uniting the kingdoms we've become stronger, almost rivals for them, that is in our advantage at least''

the young general knew that almost everyone was with the idea of peace and hated war, she herself despised it but found herself saying nonetheless:

''We didn't ask for war, it found us. It has a way of finding us apparently' that was a small gesture to lighten the mood, but she couldn't even muster a smile. Sighing again she looked at them all: ''we have to protect our people, and make sure nothing like.......this'' the image floated in her memory again and that grin. ''nothing like this happens ever again'' saying that she sat on her chair waiting for ideas to start preparing when she noticed that she was the only one sitting, everyone else stood either in shock or in fear: ''I'd say we sit down a little first'' she said her last sentence gently returning a little bit to her former self as she invited the others to take their seats around the table.

……” The man slowly turned towards the young man whom had asked his name, his face serious and cold until it softened for a few moments, “…I don’t think that’s the kind of ‘take’ he was talking about” He said, patting him on the shoulder as he held the crying boy in his arms. He noticed the generals all walk towards the academy, speaking of some meeting…But that meeting was the least important thing for him right now…The generals could help him—Isaac was but a mare professor wanting to aid his students.

My name is Isaac by the way. Can I ask yours?” Once the young man had told him his name, Isaac nodded and gave him a gentle smile, “I’ll trust you with helping the others. Could you go check if there are any kids who were left behind?” His yellow eyes strayed down to the little boy, still sobbing against his chest; Isaac then looked back up, “I have to get this little boy to his parents, we can talk later” The man said and turned, walking away from the other.

He tried to swallow a hard knot that had formed in his throat, like that choking feeling that you get as you hold your tears back. Almost everybody was evacuated from the grounds, leaving the courtyard empty and—

“Ivan!” The wind adept’s steps came to a halt when a woman came running up to him, her arms open and face filled with desperation. “Mom!” The boy cried out, twisting his body slightly when he recognized that voice.

"Oh dear..." Tai winced at Isaac's statement, silently chastising himself for his own naivete. "Forgive my foolishness..."

Tai inclined his head, shame and regret weighing him down a bit. He looked up, hearing a sudden commotion. His eyes followed Isaac's as they both watched the generals walk out of sight, speaking of some meeting.

Isaac turned from Tai, and Tai took the hint, accepting the charge to go check for other children. A task he knew would be cumbersome surrounded by the mounds of death that had fallen upon this festival. Tai walked forward, eyeing his left and right, checking for anyone who needed help. There were none though, it seemed they were all dead, or in good company.

Tai's eyes began to grow hot, and liquid ran down his cheeks. "I just wanted to make my spears...and learn lightning.."

He stops walking for a second, and turns his head toward the sky. "And this is why!"

Suddenly Tai's sadness is replaced with rage, and desperation. His face burns a hot red, and his body begins to steam as the heat radiating from it evaporates the thin layer of sweat on him.

"I'm gonna give those generals a piece of my mind...!" With a new resolve in mind, Tai begins to trail the generals to this meeting spot.

Irene looked over at Aria, her face more Stern and she was more in the state of reasoning. "Well you can't start a war yet." She said walking over to the table. 'We have to wait til all the kingdoms to agree on it. Since we are 'united' as you say we have to wait til all the representatives of the kingdoms arrive." She sat down at the table closes to the ends. "I understand we are all in shock of what just occurred but we can not let that Cloud our judgement." She glanced back at Thea, making sure she was alright. She couldn't imagine what she was feeling right now and almost felt helpless in not being able to comfort her at this time.

As Min Lao Shi approached the burning building he frowned at the scene of destruction. He looked behind him as a small crowd of people, who had followed him, cupped their hands over their mouths in horror. Entering the conference room, Min winced as he sensed the fear, sadness and anger cycling about. Loved ones had been lost, and people were desiring vengeance. As everyone took their seats, Min bowed before the group. He strode to a corner, widened his stance, and became still. He preferred to stand. Even at his age, Min was quite tall and wide. The Earth had blessed his body with health, even when he should've began aging years ago.

Min Lao Shi was well aware of the Shadow Nation and what they stood for. His grandfather, during his rule, had many clashes with their warriors. The stories he told were...disturbing. Most surprising to Min, when he was a boy, was how his grandfather viewed them before he passed away...

"The Shadow's are important, my son. Listen to me now, and don't ever forget: This world is in a constant state of balance. Like the shadow that accompanies you wherever you walk, so shall the darkness. From morning until evening, your shadow rises and falls. Every day throughout time, the Light and Dark conquer the earth. You are a warrior of Light, Min Lao Shi, and you will always press against the Darkness. But be cautious, boy, not to exterminate it. For a sun that never falls shall scorch the Earth. And a Night that never ends shall freeze it. So it is the same with your enemies. The Shadow Nation binds us when our ties come loose. And if those ties are not kept tight, the Nations will begin to fragment."

And he had been right, for it was not long after his passing that the Fire Nation attacked. Min Lao Shi cleared his throat before speaking. "I offer my deepest condolences for all who have lost loved ones today. As leaders, let it not cloud our judgement." Min bowed as he closed his opening statement.

The man gave the woman her weeping child and bowed his head in respect for the dead little girl. He couldn’t do anything else but to watch them walk away with a blank stare, letting out a sigh when both of them were out of view. The professor then blinked, running a hand through his hair—What a mess….

"And this is why!"

Suddenly, Isaac heard an exclamation between the dark mist, recognizing the voice. He got worried, thinking something was going on so he hurried
back to where he heard the voice. “Hey—“ The man called, looking around for the other until he finally spotted his longish hairs a few meter away. “Hey--!” He called out for a second time, jogging over to him. “Is everything OK? Did you find anything?” Isaac asked, frowning slightly in concern. He didn’t see anybody in the area…So the answer was probably not. Though the turquoise haired professor did raise an eyebrow; He looked pretty…pissed. No, he looked sad, those marks down his cheeks said other wise “You alright?” Maybe he lost somebody in the incident? Maybe of the youngsters died…Oh he couldn’t imagine the pain those parents must be feeling.

Tai could feel his very ire boiling within him, he wouldn't let that creature escape unharmed. His body began to heat more, lost in his own visions of battle, so much that he could began to smell his clothing burning. It was then that he decided to come back to reality, and calm himself. At that very moment, the blue haired Isaac returned to him.

"Are you okay?" He heard the man say.

"Yes....yes." Tai rose his hand to his head, clutching it. After a few moments, he met eyes with the blue haired fellow. "Hey, come with me!"

He rose his arm and clutched at Isaac's arm, "We must follow the generals, you fought that thing, your winds didn't leave a mark! You know personally, better than them how strong that thing is."

Tai lowered his arm, loosening his grasp on Isaac, and realizing how passionate he'd become in his rage.

"We have to convince them, to do something..."

His eyes met Isaac's, waiting for an answer.

Irene decided to lighten the mood by giving herself an introduction to the Earth kingdom representative. "Well I'm not necessarily a leader, I just surprisingly got a spot with the big leagues." She said before getting up and bowing back in a sign of respect. She traveled long enough to know how to greet people in foreign lands which was very beneficial to her. "Irene Dean, the most expensive bounty hunter you'll ever meet." Irene knew how people felt about her profession but she was pretty damn good at it. The most well known by far and loved to boast about it. though she helped defeat the fire kingdom, the hero status wasn't that appealing and decided to go back to what she did best. "Pleasure to meet a person as noble as yourself."

Min Lao Shi smiled in response to Irene's gesture. He had heard of her when the war with the fire nation was at its peak, but they had operated on opposite ends of the continent. Irene was a bounty hunter by trade and was loyal only to the largest sack of coin. Still, she had proven herself a hero of her people. Min couldn't help but wonder, though, where Irene would have ended up if the Fire Nation had offered her a better deal...

Such shallowness saddened Min Lao Shi. There was so much more to life than the tarnished metal that occupied their purses. To become intimately connected with an element was beyond value.
"And you as well, Irene. Your reputation precedes you." Min smiled warmly. "The Sacred grounds of Earth await you, should you ever desire a brotherhood or family. Our roots run deep, and our element loves and strengthens us. It is a bond that is beyond value."

Isaac S. Ostberg

Isaac blinked; What…Oh, he was the passionate type. It was kinda cute if you asked him. And it wasn’t particularly bad that he felt that way but…”Hey, you know that they will discuss this matter” Isaac chuckled, looking down at him, “We can speak to them once they are done with their meeting ok?” His words were calm and reassuring like a gentle gust of wind, knowing very well that fire users were slightly…hot headed. Though Isaac could see the determination in his eyes, after all, they pierced right through his own like burning fire. Jeez, okay, fire users were scary at times too.

The man flashed the other a smile, “Don’t worry…I know this wont go unnoticed… But we have to be patient. We cant just…Jump right to the oven right? So try not to be too hot till then~” Another fire joke—Haha, he loved those. “My wind friend is just weak in general…you can say me and him are kinda rusty. But that man killed a little friend of mine, I aint forgiving him that easily” And then there it was, his trademark wink. Staying put and crossing his arms without doing nothing wasn’t in his plan…Just…bursting inside a meeting like that didn’t seem like a wise idea. For now, it was a matter of waiting and seeing what the generals decided. Though that man said something about a Shadow Kingdom? Uh, huh...that didnt sound good. Must be another dark alliance or something because you know, there are always those people that can't rest unless they watch others suffer. But you know what, that demon-whatever-he was man made a mistake...A grave mistake. Oh, inside, the wind bender's blood was boiling, almost as if Tai had sent his own power through him.

'But you always have to wait until somebody dies to do something, dont you?' A voice, other than his own, echoed in his mind. A raspy, deep, almost abnormal voice. 'Isaac, you are weak'

'
Pffft..Tell me about it'

Thea had the same feeling when she was traveling back. Regret. She thought that they escaped it all at last. She guessed that peace will never come. Thea gave Irene a smile, appreciating her words of comfort. "It's all good." She said to her before crossing her arms. "Unfortunately, war seems to be the only option."

"How so?" Lyra asked the earth wielder as she sat down next to Aria with a gloom look on her face.

"
They can come and attack as they please. Unless we hit them when they don't realize it, I would say we are done for." She looked at the earth representative, and bowed with respect to her kingdom's elder. "Cynthia Li. I would say I'm a traveler."

Jake sits on a partially burned bench and thinks of what has happened tonight. He thought about what might be a weakness to them but all he could think about were the poor souls lost tonight. He sat in front of the meeting room he could hear whats going on inside but he wanted to be alone and think, "What were they, what was the point of them coming?" He had no clue. Jake sat there confused a feeling he had not felt in a long time.
