Realistic or Modern The Blood {Restart, New Characters Welcome}

Fenrir closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had to physically clench his fists to keep from flipping out.

"I'd say I'm erasing that from my mind, but both of us know I can't and won't. Now, if the Grotto wasn't burned down, it'd be a different story, but we need to go. Right now."

Fenrir slipped his hands under the blanket, pulled Venus to him by her waist, and kissed her on the lips.

@Of the Red

It wasn't a suprise when he kissed her. She had actually been standing there, waiting and wondering to see if he was deprived enough to think that kissing her in front of a burning building was appropriate. The feeling of his rough hands against the soft skin of her waist only proved it. She slipped her tongue into his mouth and ran a hand down his chest. Okay, she was already done with this. Venus sunk her teeth into Fenrir's lip, more of a warning than some sort of move, before pulling away. "I'd consider letting you spend a few nights in my room up at the lake house but you said it yourself, we need to go".

Fenrir faked a moan at her biting his lip. He smiled at her like this was a game between old friends. As he passed his tongue over his lip he raised his eyebrows as he tasted the familiar iron taste.

"Drew blood. Didn't think you were that kinky, but hey, I'm not complaining. You enjoy the feel of chisled marble when you felt me up?"

@Of the Red.

Paint screamed in fear and shock as Fenrir writhed in pain. She sat up quickly, scrambling to get away. Tears continued to stream down her face. When he stopped screaming, she didn't. She wailed and screamed at the top of her lungs. Then when Fenrir left, she calmed.

You made him leave again. Erik hissed. With a sinking feeling in her stomach, Paint realized Erik was right. She made him abandon her again. She started to stand, but her burnt legs protested and she fell back down in pain. You fucking idiot! You failed him again! erik screamed at her. Paint sobbed.

"Artemis!" She screamed finally, needing to latch onto someone again. "Artemis!!"

Fenrir sighed as Paint started yelling. He kissed Venus lightly on the cheek.

"You...get better, okay? I wouldn't want you to stay hurt."

With the blanket around him again, he walked back over to Paint. It was a gamble on whether she would flip out again or not, but they needed to talk. He sat down a few feet from her.

"Hi."

Paint gasped and looked at Fenrir through her tears. Then she started to cry again. "I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry for failing you again. I'm sorry." Paint apologized profusely, hugging her knees to her chest.

She felt weak. Erik didn't want her to apologize, but Paint wanted to. She wanted her brother back.

Fenrir scooted over to her and put an arm around her shoulders. He ran a hand softly down her burns on her legs, taking care to not hurt her.

"Paint. Stop. I'm the one that failed you, I took something I shouldn't have. I love you, but like a little sister. I don't know why I kissed you, but I know you didn't like it. I'll make sure to never kiss you on the lips again."

Kissing Paint on the head, he used some of his blanket to wipe her face clean. The soot, ashes, and tears all disappeared as he gently dabbed it to her skin.

"Take a deep breath and calm down. I'm with you, nothing bad can happen when I'm protecting you. I've told you that countless times."

He wrapped the blanket around her and put both of his arms around her waist, holding her protectively.

Paint whimpered as he touched her legs. She knew that if he wasn't careful, there would be a lot of pain to come. He insisted that it was him that failed her and Paint shook her head.

"No, no, I failed you. That's why you left. People leave when you fail them, not when they fail you. So I must have failed you, because you left." Paint whispered.

As Fenrir wiped away the soot and tears, Paint felt herself calming down. The gentle care behind his actions was comforting, and felt familiar and familial. She didn't move, just letting him care for her.

"Don't ever leave me," Paint whispered as he held her, "can you promise me that? Can you promise to never leave me behind or abandon me?"

Artemis heard Paint's calls and she immediately found the scene, where Fenrir just happened to kiss two women in the same hour. Rushing over to Paint's side, she jerked Paint's body away from Fenrir's body and into her arms. "Are you fucking kidding me Fenrir, we just wanted it to take a minute. Let The Grotto burn down in a fucking minute. What the fuck did you do? Run back for an envelope, kiss two girls, one who is clearly not in her senses and the other with a burnt hand. Some charm dickhead." She ranted, she was not even yelling at the top of her lungs because of Fenrir, well he was partially the reason but it was the fact that she was attempting to hide the pain that she felt on the side of her waist. She knew it was something, a burn, a cut, but all it did was sting her.

Zeus aided the members and soon found Artemis saving Paint, that was what he loved about her, she could fight fire with almost nothing and still win. As he watched her rant, he went to her sude and put a hand on her shoulder, "Just leave it, I can tell you might need Friar." He whispered, kneeling down beside her. "We need to keep moving."

Artemis felt a light squeeze comfort her shoulder and then a light voice enter her ear. She relaxed a little bit but still clutched Paint. "I'm fine." These two words seemed like a reply which she told Zeus but in actual fact, she was telling herself that. Looking down at Paint's brown waves, Artemis knew she was needed and she also knew she had not given a fuck about anyone this much. There was obviously Stallion and Zeus but that seemed... Different. 'We have to keep moving forward', the phrase rang in her head and she stood up, a little slowly seeing as she had no idea what happened to her waist but it hurt, alot. "We have to keep moving," She repeated after him.

Zeus leapt up as Artemis sprung up, he could see her waist slightly travel in a different direction, to perhaps avoid pain. He wrapped his hand around her waist and sighed, "You should get that checked out." He mumbled so quietly, he knew nobody could probably hear, probably Artemis but there was little chance.

Amber was the first to get out of the building on Stallion's command but seeing everything rise in flames, her dark eyes widened and she leapt for an embrace with the closest person next to her, which happened to be Stallion. "What the fuck is happening?" She whispered, her voice slightly shaking.

Stallion was quite aware of the fact that Venus' affairs had nothing to do with him, but seeing Fenrir kiss her, he turned away, brushing a hand through his hair. Then Amber's arms flung themselves onto him and watching her lips tremble and her voice wobble, he felt torn. He placed his hand over her back and sighed. "Jesus, Jaz. You sure surprised me there. It's nothing, just a few injuries and burns. Nothing Friar can not treat." He reassured her. Pulling away from her slightly, he missed the warmth of her body but he knew she could not be a distraction. "Alright, stitch up and then we'll get ready to leave." Stallion ordered, his hand on Amber's curvy waist.

Paint felt herself being clutched by a smaller frame. One eye opened to find milky, smooth skin holding her carefully. Paint murmured Artemis' name as her hands clutched Artemis' shirt. Paint was exhausted, scared, and confused. Why did Fenrir keep leaving? Why was Artemis caring for her? Why was Erik in her head again.

"Artemis..." Paint whispered, gently touching her raven hair. "He's... my head, he's back in my head..." Paint was referencing her conscience, Erik, but she wasn't sure if Artemis knew about that. She never told Artemis.

Artemis felt a tug on the end of her shirt and found Paint mutter about something coming inside of her. "Who is inside your head?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and retreating back to the ground, near Paint's side. The girl had recently mentioned something about her head and voices but that was a vague memory Artemis could not make out, seeing as so much has happened over the past few hours. Artemis could not deny that she was a bitch to Paint ever since she entered The Grotto, she was so set out to protect her family but now Paint was her family. Artemis owed the girl the trouble for tag.

Paint whimpered and hugged Artemis tightly. "Erik, Erik, he's telling me these awful things, he says I'm weak." Paint whispered. She was terrified of herself at this point. "He says I should go into the fire, that I should kill myself... I shouldn't do that, right?" Paint looked helplessly at Artemis.

Artemis tilted her head to the side and insptected Paint's worried expression. Could this be a case of a split personality? No, Paint had had the occasional outbursts but she had not changed completely. Was this a conscience? Most likely. "Erik, eh?" She questioned. "Do you think you can fight it for a good fifteen minutes?" She asked, it would take ten minutes to reach the lakehouse. Seeing as Paint was still half-naked, her top had developed holes and rips, Artemis opened up her bag and reached for a blanket, she then wrapped Paint in it and caoted her in the warm material. She felt a little protective all of a sudden, she was determined to not leave anybody behind.

"Fight it..." Paint repeated. She screwed her eyes shut. "I can... I can try. He's growing louder all the time..." Paint felt a blanket on her and curled up, savoring the warmth on her shivering body. She needed the security that it gave her, not to mention the coverage of her skin. "I failed Fenrir... I made him leave me again..." Paint whimpered.

Fenrir hopped up and walked away without a word. He knew he fucked up, but he just didn't know what came over him. As he came across a crumbled wall and a pile of bricks, he picked one up and hurled it into the forest.

"Fuck it!"

He stomped over to the ruined stairwell, dug inside of it for a little bit, and pulled out his stuff. A shirt, jacket, backpack, and a guitar case. Inside the jacket was his other gun. He put on the clothes and shrugged the backpack onto his shoulders, wincing at the pain.

Fenrir crumpled up the envelope after removing the necklace and tossed it into the ruins.

"Good riddance..."

He walked into the woods, not looking back.

Ooc: where's he going?

Venus was left handed and it was her left hand that currently looked like a hunk of charred meat. It had just hit her that, well, she was useless. Completely and utterly useless. Venus stared at her hand for second and lifted up her right hand, ripping off the ring and the flesh it was attached to. She only ran back in to find the ring and this is how she ended up. Don't get Venus wrong, this piece of metal had no sentimental value to her. She snatched it off the finger of a teacher when she was fourteen just cause it was shiny and she wanted it. One visit to a pawn shop and Venus found up the ring was inlaid with diamonds that were expensive enough that she could buy an apartment. She kept the thing for years just in case she needed to sell it. Who would want to buy a half melted ring with flesh on it ?

Shoving the ring in the back pocket of her pants, Venus would start to look for Friar. She was starting to lose feeling in one of her fingers.

Artemis shook her head and lifted her gaze up only to realise Fenrie was nowhere around the area. "No, do not blame yourself. During a fire he thinks it isokay to go around kissing girls as if nothing happened. Shit, he needs a fucking life." She muttered. She could not believe she allowed him to kiss her, "I am sure you can fight it Paint." She motivated the girl, watching as Friara began to treat Venus' hand by testing the hand and getting out ointment and bandages.

What Fenrir was doing in the forest was clearing out his small hideout that the Wolves knew about. It just contained some supplies and another gun. He tossed the gun and supplies into a nearby creek that ran into a river, which led to a waterfall. After he had taken care of that, he walked back to the Grotto, looking for the envelope and smoothing out a few minutes later when he did. Everything was still intact inside, but he wondered whether he should have let it burn. He walked back over to Artemis and Paint with a face of only business.

"We'd better leave immediately, ma'am. The Wolves no doubt saw or heard the smoke and explosion. Sir, I formally apologize for my previous actions. Any disciplinary retaliation will be accepted, and I'll make sure it won't happen again."

The last sentence was directed to Stallion. Fenrir had made up his mind, he was going to put his personal feelings last, no matter how much they tempted him. The gang came first, he came last. He stood without his casual slouch and awaited a response from his superiors.
