Perhaps roll a D100, and increase your chance of success by 5 per letter rank. That way, even with EX luck, you've got at most a 30% chance of success.
Personally, I think Luck in an RP should only take effect in moments where everyone knows you're probably going to die, like avoiding certain Noble Phantasm types.
And as I said before, give it a physical method of success, like rolling a D100

Eh I can see it being used in reasonable and sensible ways to evade an attack or having circumstances play in your favor that might allow you to perhaps avoiding taking the blunt of an attack and fine little intricacies.

For example said servants are in a cave, debris starts falling at random. Someone with A Luck is probably going to manage to get lucky and have no problem dealing with it with the rocks managing to fall in a way that they can evade it, where someone with E luck would probably be unfortuante enough to have rocks fall in a way that they can't dodge it or something like that.

In reality both servants would effortlessly dodge the rocks with one saying it was luck and the other saying it was agi. That's the root of the issue. VERY rarely will a player intentionally hurt themselves because "I have low luck" and VERY rarely will a player accept you just ignoring their most powerful attack because "I have high luck".

If I pulled out my most powerful NP as my trump card I can say from my own personal perspective that I'd be quite upset if my opponent just went *lol dodges because A rank luck* It's cheap, it would be considered godmodding in literally any other RP.

That's why luck is a dead stat, nobody on any side will ever accept the luck stat playing a role in actual roleplay circumstances.

Yeah, that would be where I see it the most effective acting as a kind of ditch effort to save you from certain doom, probably still getting hurt but managing to pull through. Kind of like how I see what happens with Saber taking a hit from EA being her insane luck that allowed her to manage to survive.

And that's why the ability to "even break out of enemy Servant abilities that would normally be impossible to escape from" is bullshit, and I'm removing my EX stat that grants that.

Edit: However, this applies only under special circumstances.

Or we can simply do what I suggested so that EX luck, at best, gives you a 30% chance of success instead of just "Lol I doggided excalibuur lol lol"

However, note the edit, please.

Special Circumstances.

I'll just say straight up that I wont accept anyone getting out of one of my attacks because "lol luck". If there ever comes a situation where luck plays a part I'll demand it be done by dice roll so it's ACTUALLY based on luck. Someone just going "I dodge/survive your strongest NP because A rank luck" is just an excuse to godmod and it's not something I'll go along with. Dice rolls only.

Wouldn't apply to Excalibur. Excalibur isn't the type of thing that it would 'prevent'. If you hit said person with an AOE blast, it won't stop it. It probably won't even save them at all, with D Rank Endurance.

I mean everyone here seems pretty reasonable so far... I doubt any of us are going to take the "Haha it was just a hologram! Now my character easily kills your character!" approach.

Fate kind of relies on the awesome fights and story, so I think if people are too caught up in stats and who wins that kinds of takes away from it. (I am not saying discussing who will win is bad or who would beat who in a fight is bad. I enjoy that myself. Only that in my view the fights should be seen as something to advance and improve the story rather than roleplayers fighting each other.)

But idk maybe I am just silly.

Twas a joke. Was meant to mock the people who think they can avoid any NP just with high luck. I already knew all that.

Don't worry lads. Saber doesn't have any possible EX ranks anymore. I changed it to reflect the fact that +'s are supposed to be a temporary boost that can be achieved under the correct circumstances, which is exactly what saber can do if the criteria is met.

Depends. How many snickerdoodles and gumdrops do you have?
I'll talk to my snack guy. Oh wait...he's suffering candy withdrawal. Lemme get back to you...

Oy, Gaius, calm do-no, I don't have any- HEY, GIMME TH-

*Notices no one has went for lancer's Master* ... You jerks! She has B rank luck, she ain't going to die in the typical terrible Lancer way!

I'm sure, I'm sure. Of course a random boulder won't just crush her poor soul out of her imaginary dream body. Nobody's saying that.

I wouldn't be so keen to get a master if I were you now that you mention Lancer deaths.

*Assassin hugs Lancer* Don't worry. I won't have the skill which inflicts bad luck on everyone but me.
