Still, she's trying to make up for the last couple of times she almost died.

She will be getting into trouble, so my suggestion would be if you are going to fail, then fail hard.

And I think we could maybe use the disciplinary action as a way to help her achieve what she has been looking for.

Well, I really wish she'd make up for it by being team player. Ryuko was doing so good just now. Hanging back, doing what her superior told her. And now she's cannonballing off again. It becomes very hard to care for someone like that. Someone who's just going to do it their way for their reasons. She wants to be accepted in a team? Be part of the team. Why can't she get that? Aren't there enough good examples in the team for her?
There are, but some situations require a little bit of defying orders just to get everyone out alive.

Look, first, I'm feeling under the weather so please pardon me for not having my typical restraint.

Second, Illya, I really appreciate what you're trying to do and I thank you for explaining what's going on in Ryuko's head. I think her heart's in the right place but her logic is way, way off. Instead of being part of the team, she seems to want to stand out and have the team just fall in love with her for risking her very life for the rest of us. Oh Ryuko!

But this team isn't like that. Just be dependable, follow orders, share ideas, act on orders, and work as a pack, not a lone wolf. Again, thanks for explaining. I just don't get her.

Gundam Watcher 27 Gundam Watcher 27 D.'s right! Ryuko's using both ion cannons, right? That's 2D6x10+40 M.D.! Hope you roll high (and I hope the shots connect)! =)

Deunan swears out loud. "Ryuko! So help me, you had best get your ass down and in formation with Gabi before I come up there and tear your legs off with my bare hands!" Shit! That girl is going to get herself killed pulling stunts like that!

It has finally happened. This is the other reason I can't stand it when Ryuko just shoots off (she throws the team off). But this time it's different. This time she has poked the bear and made Conway lose it right here in mid-combat. Oh man! You have to admit though; this adds tension to the roleplaying!

Very much so. It has me greatly anticipating a Ryuko redemption arc.

As Ryuko flies up in front of the alien dropship, you realize that it may have been a bit of a miscalculation. The front of the ship has several large blasters sticking out of it, and with your sudden arrival in the air in front of it, they are all trained on you. As one, the six forward cannons fire, and they will hit you unless you can dodge.

Psychie Psychie O.K. Since Gabi missed her missile shot last round, could she... Aw, shoot. Forget it. Gabi seeing this would only do one thing - shoot all of her missiles now in an attempt to save Ryuko again...

Guys? Sorry if this volley gets blown out of the air.

After the event of the FPA, unless Conway has spoken to him about such circumstances, Marlon will be holding his fire and asking Neo and Alan to do the same.

Oh, D.? I've been meaning to bring that up. It's been over six months since that took place, right? Gabi would have, at some point, asked Marlon to sit down with some beers with her while she told him how that friendly fire incident was not his fault (following up said argument with all of the evidence she had). Gabi detests the idea of Marlon kicking himself for the clear screw-up of another who was supposed to have known better.

Psychie? As always, please roll my dice?

He would have appreciated it greatly. He got a similar talk from Allen. He still blames himself for pulling the trigger, and agrees with Duenan that he should have been more careful, but he isnt beating himself up over it thanks to them. And also understands that is was Ryuko that put herself in that risky situation. Fortunatly he wasnt in a position to beat her up then.

The situation is one he is hoping to avoid now. 1 PPC blast does a lot of damage and it was a glancing blow... 4 could be fatal to her.

I am operating under the impression that Ryuko is at the same altitude as the dropship and is in front of it, not in the same line of fire as the tanks on the ground.

Also...

Of course, my friend. Lets see what we have going on now, shall we?

That it is. But at that distance, a fraction off on your aim can result in meters of difference to where you hit.

And I dont think there is anyone here who would trust my ability to not roll a Nat 1.

In front of it? Yes, that did seem to be what she was going for, but the dropship's main gun alone can blow an Ajax out of the sky... Oh boy...

Its not as bad as you think. In the 2e book, the damage is sizable, but even with all the guns firing at her, Ryuko will get through this, even if she is a bit battered up when it is all said and done.

So, what is the results of the particle beam blasts on the dropship? Did we kill it?
