I'm not sure in what context you mean. Are you trying to find an image? I do not have a preference over the type of image you choose, so long it is appropriate for the site and the roleplay. You should include a written description.

I'm thinking up my character and I'm split between playing a larger built dude who rides one massive turret during an entire fight, or a leaner fellow who runs around kicking people off slightly smaller guns depending on the position of their target. it looks so interesting but the post-apocalypse is making me kinda sad. like it's giving me an urge to revive my old rp that was all full of nature and shit because i miss nature now, even though there is nature outside, because you did too good of a job describing the horribleness. how dare you. also i have questions

1. So like. Portals will only let you take equal numbers of things back and forth. Does that mean if you take three people and a person-sized mannequin through, you could return with four people and leave the mannequin? Is there a time limit on the restriction? If a group of three go through, and then later a group of two go through the same way, can five people go back through or does it reset with each group?

2. Are there dogs? This is important.

The Cold Raven is a huge fucking ship and Captain Woods is rich as hell. You can have all of the guns you want.

The Portal more or less sees it by weight and mass. If you bring in a very large thing, you can leave with a very large thing, or bring back a bunch of tiny things. A mannequin would not likely be the equivalent of another being. Who is to say that other beings live in these worlds? Scavengers have only looked for treasure and for treasure only. There has never been a curiosity for other life forms.

ohh, ok. so if one wishes to be really careful, one could hypothetically bring objects with you that are equivalent to your own mass, to ensure that no matter what you pick up you'll always be able to get through. *nodnod* excellent.

If so, how does it keep track? If someone went through like, a bajillion years ago, and never returned, could you bring something back through equivalent to that person's mass without having brought anything with you on your first trip? Does the portal have, like, accounts that it closes? Will X ever stop thinking about this like a comp-sci student and just accept the goddamn roleplay?

Also yay pupper! Can pupper have a pupper gas mask and pupper radiation suit so that pupper can be a G O O D B O Y E and help with pupper piracy? Also maybe pupper is not strictly a pupper and might be more of a big heckin angery doggo in training.

No worries about accounts. I just started thinking about it like a programming assignment and things kind of snowballed from there. Arrays. Lots and lots of arrays. xD

now I am deeply torn between cabin boy, powder monkey, and pilot. i like playing child characters, but I also like the idea of being a really good pilot (or carpenter) who's good enough at his job to be indispensable and takes full advantage to be eccentric and keep a giant dog who hates (almost) everyone and everything and adopts literally every child he comes across and is just generally weird as shit and a smug cocky asshole but like in a likeable way not a Frederick way.

I'm trying to get a feel for the review and acceptance process. Let's imagine that the captain spot were up for grabs. Would the first application for captain be revised until they are a suitable captain (if it is not up to snuff you work with the player until it is)? Or if the first captain spot character sheet isn't adequate, does it open up for anyone to grab?

You are correct. For now, I am only accepting one Master.

The reservations are based on when someone makes the reservation. Once a position is reserved, it cannot be reserved for again until the most recent one has expired.
