Tende altum, volare altius
@SilverFlight I asked these two for opinions, but I don't think I asked you: How would your characters feel about the Ascended?
Well, at the moment Reyna knows nothing, she's refraining from making any judgements about anything as much as she can so she'll be open to friendships but will refrain from taking any political stance before she has a relative idea of the strengths of the races compared to her own.
Vaz thinks they are dangerous for obvious reasons; they are advanced, powerful and seem to be divided, one of the sides is openly anti-Council. The Reksh'an are fairly invested in the council as a governing body because they are one of the youngest races and therefore possibly one of the least advanced. They have also committed a number of resources to the council in terms of warships and trained pilots and they themselves act as enforcers in their galactic quadrant.
He is distrustful of both sides of the Ascended conflict, he distrusts Rune's efforts to stir up unrest and distrusts the coalition's power to keep him in check. The entire fleet that just rocked up to his people's unarmed research station ruffled his feathers a bit for sure :3 He won't be warm, but he will be civil.
