~Sorren Latrent~
Slight frustration was evident on Sorren’s face, he had lost this round but from Azalea’s reactions to his teasing it wasn’t by much. Sorren rationalised it in his head, that his heightened emotions caused him to need a lot more willpower to withstand Azalea’s advancements than she did his. Really, Sorren just hated losing.
Sorren’s eyes followed Azalea as she stepped away from him, obviously maintaining a distance, she wilted under his intense gaze and Sorren couldn’t help but smirk; she might have had a small victory here but Sorren was still in the game.
Sorren tilted his head, amused at Azalea’s sarcasm. “I don’t do anything for free”, he said with a mischievous glint in his eye as he moved her phone and jacket just out of her reach. Sorren began to slowly step backwards towards the school, and raised an eyebrow before saying, “Now I just wonder what you can do for me to get your things back?”. The hybrid smirked at Azalea, feigning naivety. He knew exactly what she could do and she probably knew what he wanted too. She had to give in.
After a few more small steps backwards, Sorren slung her jacket over his shoulder and placed her phone in his trouser pocket. He then shrugged his shoulders, “Unless you don’t want your things back of course”, Sorren still wore a grin like a Cheshire Cat and continued to tease her further, “I can keep them as…souvenirs”.
The phone probably had nothing of importance on it, with Azalea not wanting to be found by Keeper and not staying in one place for an extended period of time. But her jacket, now Sorren could use that. Not only would it be potent with her scent, enabling Sorren to track her from an unbelievable distance but it was bound to be crawling with her DNA; in a world of magic the possibilities of using such information are practically endless: spells, enchantments, curses, potions. Just to name a few.
Once again, Sorren had manipulated the situation to be in his favour, both options were a win for him. Azalea knew Sorren had a mean competitive streak and so the chance of him giving up on their challenge after a little setback was essentially none existent. It just depended on how she wanted to play it, if Azalea managed to flip this situation on him he would be truly impressed. Truthfully, Sorren was desperate to have her close to him once again, to finally lock their lips - this was just a way of either getting her to play into his hand by making the first move or for him to play the worthwhile long game.
Sorren still eyed Azalea in a teasing manner, continuing to take calculated steps backwards as if the ultimatum had a time limit. Sorren was making an effort to twist the situation in any way he could, pressuring Azalea to heighten his chances of being recognised as the dominant force between the two. His gaze was daring her to try and slip out of this one.
