Sorren Latrent - Chill.png

~Sorren Latrent~

A scowl was still present on Sorren's face as Azalea joined him at the window, uttering her own words of anger at what had just occurred. Sorren brought a finger to his lips and tapped them contemplatively, from Azalea's words, Sorren deduced that she also didn't know whom had been responsible for throwing the object; excluding Keeper and any enemies she had made while on the road from the list of potential culprits. Sorren also concluded that no sane person would throw a large rock through a window at a bullet-like speed as a prank. This was done intentionally and with egregious reasoning.

The crunch of glass resonated throughout the room, causing Sorren to turn around and to see Azalea examining the rock that was now embedded into the wall. Sorren also looked at the rock, losing himself in thought as he went over the situation in his head once more. The rock had been thrown with the aim to kill, and honestly, their were much simpler and easier ways to kill Azalea so the rock had obviously been intended for him. Sorren's mind went into overdrive, he had no clue who would have such resolute feeling against him and this worried him deeply.

Turning back to face towards the window, Sorren continued to be in a state of intense thought until he was snapped back into reality by the feeling of the material of his shirt being lifted up. Sorren sharply inhaled and jerked forward slightly from the twinge of pain as he felt a large shard of glass being removed from his back. As Azalea scolded him, Sorren frowned and wanted to whip his head over his shoulder to face her but couldn't as the action only caused him additional pain. The hybrid settled for gazing out the window at the trees which swayed gently in the breeze.

Sorren's expression mellowed as Azalea spoke in a softer tone, "I couldn't just let you get hurt", Sorren said in a mostly calm tone but with a hint of frustration. The hybrid didn't choose to hurt himself protecting her, it just happened as if it were instinct, like it was something his mind naturally decided on its own. "You mean too much to me", he added almost subconsciously, not even realising he had done so. Sorren's mind was elsewhere and so he wasn't fully focused on what he was saying, what he said simply flowed intrinsically out of his mouth. Sorren clenched his hands into fists as Azalea pulled another piece of glass from his back, it wasn't that it hurt all too much but when Azalea did it, it came as a surprise and was still irritating.

Standing up straight, Sorren brought his hands to his chest and grabbed his shirt, then tore it open. He ripped the material with ease, pulled it off despite it clinging to his skin because of the blood, and threw it onto the floor. The glass had gone so far into his skin that his shirt only got into the way of the removal of the shards. Plus, it was stained, hence, ruined anyway. Each wound healed within mere seconds, right before Azalea's eyes as she removed each glass shard which had previously obstructed the wound from healing. Sorren the leant back on the desk, a sombre expression on his face, not in a teasing mood anymore. "Why do you have to leave?", he asked in a low but serious tone, the topic had never left his head, he felt compelled to ask.

((Sorry that this post is really shitty, as you know, I had a crisis so it just dampened my mood.))

With each shard of glass removed, Azalea winced, not wanting to hurt him, but knowing it had to be done. Azalea eyes turned black as she briskly entered his mind, with some effort, she'd used her powers more then enough, and it wouldn't be long before she got a headache, then a nosebleed, then she'd just simply black out.  Azalea didn't search his thoughts, instead, she made it so he wouldn't be able to feel any pain whatsoever as she removed glass from him, she could unlock many parts in ones mind. Azalea didn't even think of it, instinctively just wanting him to not feel any pain.

Her jaw clenched with determination as she plucked another shard of glass from his back. She was fuming. Angry that someone had tried to kill Sorren, and frustrated he'd gotten hurt by protecting her.

Azalea froze at Sorren's words of affection, her hand unmoving on his back, still making it so he couldn't feel any pain. Azalea was relieved he couldn't see her stunned reaction. In the back of her mind, Azalea knew he felt something for her, but hearing it was another thing. Azalea wasn't loved. She didn't have friends, or family. Azalea made sure she wasn't loved, she was cold, manipulative and cruel. Azalea would never expect someone to feel anything for her. Now all she felt was shock.

Azalea raised her eyebrows, surprised as he suddenly ripped his shirt off him, with ease as well, something Azalea never could've done, it also helped her, and she worked quicker, feeling a pounding headache as she kept making him unable to feel pain. Azalea watched his wounds instantly close up and heal, staring at his back with awe, never failing to not fascinate her.

The question took Azalea slightly aback, and she paused, figuring out how to respond. Her heart ached at his question, a guilty, somber expression on her face as she picked a small shard out of his back, glad he couldn't see her face. "I never planned to tell you." Azalea growled softly, irritated Cat had blurted it. "I have a century old witch trying to make my life miserable as possible." Azalea said emptily with an anxious edge. "I have to." Azalea added somberly, her voice was soft, and her black eyes stared at the floor for a moment, although she'd never admit it, it was also to lead Keeper away from Sorren.

Azalea gave him a once over, seeing if he had any more glass pieces, Azalea dug a little further in his mind, seeing if he did. Azalea plucked out the last shards she hadn't seen with her eyes, before exiting his mind, her black eyes returning to their normal brown. Her head pounded painfully, she quickly turned her back to Sorren, not wanting to wither under his stare, or hear any words of objecting his leave.

"I've got some things to do." Azalea stated quickly as she made her way for the door, each step crunching. Azalea was always one to run away from her feelings. "Try not to get killed before the dance, it'd make for a boring evening." Azalea slightly joked as she grasped the door handle, wanting to take her leave as soon as possible before she'd confront her feelings head on.

~Sorren Latrent~

Taking note of the sudden deterioration of pain, Sorren deduced that Azalea must be behind it, somehow nullifying his pain. The action warmed Sorren's heart ever so slightly, he would be lying if he said it that it wasn't nice to see Azalea showing some sort of care towards him. He could still feel the removal of the shards but it simply had no effect on him anymore. Much to his relief.

Sorren noticed Azalea's pause after he spoke his words of affection, he wondered what expression was upon her face but kept his emerald gaze focused out of the window. Despite initially not realising the words had escaped his lips, Sorren didn't regret saying them. It was the truth. And he was sick of acting like a child, hiding that he didn't have any feelings for her like she had 'cooties'. Frankly, it was pretty damn obvious that he felt deeply for Azalea. Sorren just took a moment to make sure she knew, even though he didn't out right admit it, he wasn't quite ready for that yet. He could never bring himself to say it, no matter how much he tried, but Sorren hoped Azalea now had some idea of what her leaving would do to him mentally - it would cause his heart to shatter into millions of pieces.

Azalea's response made Sorren's blood boil, the words echoed in his head, 'I never planned to tell you.". He wanted to shoot a barrage of irate words at her.

You never planned to tell me?

How do you think that would have made me feel, hmm?

What about us?

Sorren didn't shout in her face though, these thoughts were selfish, and there wasn't even an 'us' between him and Azalea in the first place. They weren't even dating and Sorren wanted to yell at her as if they were married. He kept his composure though, all that was visible of his anger was the tightening of his fists. His anger diminished somewhat upon hearing the softness of Azalea's voice as she spoke again. Sorren didn't reply, he couldn't, he didn't know what to say. He desperately wanted to attempt to change her mind, persuade her not to leave but knew it was futile. Her mind appeared made up.

Nevertheless, Sorren didn't control her whole life or her very being, he didn't want to, Azalea was her own person and so he would let her go along with her choice to leave; if she wanted to she could, if she felt that was how she would be safest, then she should go. Sorren had no right to stop her, their games of control were just that. Games. At least to him, the hybrid didn't wish to manipulate anybody in which he cared for.

After the final wound had healed, Sorren satisfyingly cracked his back before turning to find Azalea already headed towards the door. Sorren took slow, crunching steps towards the door also. "I should say the same to you", he replied calmly, a neutral look on his face as he now stood at next to her, his head facing towards her side. "I ask one thing of you before you leave, what colour dress are you wearing to the dance?", he questioned coolly, "I'm wearing classic black and I think it would be best if we matched, since I'll be picking you up at quarter to seven to walk to the dance together". Sorren liked to think in his head that Azalea was his date to the dance, which she basically was, but he never officially labelled it to her.

 Azalea Silver

Azalea tried not to dwell on her leaving, but couldn't. She felt like she'd be leaving half her heart behind with Sorren, Azalea would never admit it, but she was in love with him. He'd managed to make her laugh, something rare for her. She didn't feel empty when she was with him, and she wondered how much colder she could get when she broke her own heart again. Azalea was relieved he didn't try to persuade her to stay, it would've broke her heart.

Azalea opened the door as Sorren crunched across the glass. Cat could help her with that. Azalea glanced down the hall, turning her head from side to side, as if expecting to be jumped any moment, before a smirk crept up her face at Sorren's question. He didn't seem like the type to care if they matched or not. "Pink." Azalea stated matter-of-factly. "Bright pink in fact. I've decided to take on the roll of Evil Barbie." Azalea said sarcastically, clearly amused with the question. Technically, she was Sorren's date to the dance, but she knew neither of them would admit it.

"Your in luck. I happen to favor black." Azalea said coolly, still smirking as her eyes warily stared down the hallway. Azalea turned around, facing Sorren. She opened her mouth but closed it, giving a slight shake of her head, as if wanting to say something, but decided against it. Instead, Azalea stood up on her tiptoes, and gave Sorren a short, but tender kiss on his lips, feeling the new familiar butterfly feeling in her stomach. She pulled away, shaking her head with a grin as she glanced at his bare chest before turning away. "Put a shirt on, sheesh." Azalea lamented as she turned and strided down the hall, dissapearing from Sorren's sight as she turned a corner.

Her eyes narrowed, flicking around suspiciously as she walked out the girls dormitory. She began quickly texting with Cat;

We need to talk. Now.

I caaaaaan't I'm with Garrett. Later?

Its important. Please?

I'll be there in a sec. Courtyard. Brb. Garrett's trying to tell me something, he's getting annoyed.

Hurry up.

Azalea grew anxious as time passed. Cat hadn't texted her in awhile, and half an hour passed. Now it was past four, and she was running out of time. Azalea anxiously paced back and forth in the peacefully silent gardens.  Finally, her phone buzzed, Azalea stopped and looked at her phone.

Hey! Where are you? lol shouldn't we be getting ready soon? With you're date. :P

I beg your pardon? I texted you HALF AN HOUR AGO. You were supposed to meet me.

Lol, no you didn't. You haven't me texted since I left, dumbass.  I've been hanging out with Garrett the entire time. He's taking me to the dance! :D

Right... Can you clean up the window mess in my dorm? I'll explain later. I gotta do something. K?

Okay.

Azalea furrowed her brows, concerned. Had Garrett compelled Cat? And why?Azalea grimaced. Her head pounded, not only from the overuse of her abilities, but from the thoughts swelling in her head. Dwelling on her thoughts of the rock thrown through her window, Garrett, and easily-played Cat. It seemed nothing was as it truly looked, and Garrett was harboring a secret. Everything seemed to be turning, and it felt as if the walls were closing in on her. Azalea sat down on a wooden bench. The gardens were quite peaceful, she wondered why she wasn't here often. Her thoughts drifted to Sorren. What would've happened if he hadn't moved. Would he have died if the rock had succeeded in hitting him? Would she have been left staring at his lifeless corpse, with unspoken words of love between them? Would she have said goodbye to another?

Azalea's bit her lip, anger and grief swelling inside her, and she looked down at her lap, swallowing and buried the emotions. Azalea struggled to take her mind off Sorren and to Garrett, whom was not who he seemed to play as. Who in fact, harbored a whole other side of him. He had secrets.

Well. You know what they say...

Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.

Sorren Latrent - Simple.jpg

~Sorren Latrent~

Sorren jerked his head back in surprise as Azalea mentioned wearing pink, bright pink. A grin settled upon his face when he realised she was being sarcastic a second later, her amusement at his question obvious. It was almost natural for Sorren to be interested about such a thing as matching with his date (well unofficial date), his mother had engrained such a thing into his head from a young age. It also didn't hurt to look good as well. "Great", he said calmly, "I look forward to it", he finished with his trademark smirk still plastered on his face.

When Azalea turned to face him, her mouth moving as if she was going to speak but she seemingly resolved against it - the hybrid was curious as to what words just went unspoken. However, his curiosity was suddenly destroyed by the pleasurable feeling of Azalea's soft lips locking with his. The kiss was short but Sorren couldn't complain, it made fireworks go off in his heart; he would make sure to get more kisses later anyway. Sorren scoffed at her last comment as she strolled away and out of his sight, he knew one thing for sure, he wouldn't get tired of looking at her from behind.

Sorren didn't move for a few minutes, standing in the doorway while he recuperated himself. He was about to wander back to his dorm room before he heard a small crunch of glass, the sound caused him to instantly whip around, looking for the sounds source. Sorren sighed, seeing a raven with jet black feathers and beady eyes which looked like the entrance to an endless abyss. He knew what it was. The Crone. The raven flew into the room and Sorren stretched his hand out for it to land on, upon its landing the bird promptly burst into flames. It was engulfed by the fire so quickly that is was as if the creature had vanished, all that was left was a mountain of ash, and in the middle a small scroll with The Crone's signature seal. It read:

I heard through my little birds that you’re seeking me out. My Eluvian will be at your location in five minutes.

Let's make a deal.

As soon as Sorren had read the scroll he brushed the ash off of him and gripped the parchment in his hand before bolting towards his dorm room, not caring if anybody saw him. He couldn't let an Eluvian appear in the middle of Azalea's room, that would be hard to explain. An Eluvian is a large enchanted mirror of Elvish make (it literally means 'seeing glass' in Elvish), they allow the user to travel and communicate over great distances, an extremely useful tool if one fell into your hands.

The door was slammed shut as Sorren entered and he made sure to lock it before walking to the centre of his room. He realised a shirt would be a good idea, and for the second time today, pulled a new shirt from his wardrobe - this time a red and black checkered shirt. Sorren took quick steps towards his couch and just as he was about to sit down, a blast of blinding white light appeared, he had to turn his head away because the light was so intense. It was as if he had just looked directly into the sun. Instead though, when the light faded ever so slightly, Sorren turned his gaze back towards where the light appeared and was met with the sight of an Eluvian. He had only seen one once before and still hadn't gotten over how spectacular they looked, they were out of this world. As in, they literally transported you to a place that was out of this world.

Wasting no time at all, Sorren walked into the dreamlike glass of the mirror. In a split second, he was in a small cavern, an almost blue light shone through a gap in the middle of the cavern, somewhat illuminating the surroundings and casting dancing shadows. There was grass that framed the worn trail up to the elevated gazebo in the centre, the grass looked like it had been plucked from a meadow and so seemed out of place. There was a plethora of lush, towering spruce trees scattered around the edges of the cavern, an abundance of brightly coloured wild flowers dotted in between the grass and trees, and the odd small mystical creature scuttling across the beaten path in front of him. This was certainly not school anymore.

Sorren cautiously stepped along the path, constantly glancing around his surroundings as he traversed along the trail which ended at contrastingly spotless marble staircase. He walked up the steep, spiral stairs until he reached The Crone's infamous gazebo, made entirely of glass but deflected light in such a way that you could only see out of it and not in.

"Welcome to my humble abode child...", the Crone hissed bitter sweetly. Sorren eyes darted towards her, it was as if she appeared out of thin air but she looked as if she had been sat there for a while. It was quite ironic that The Crone was in fact a gorgeous, young woman instead of a haggard, old woman; of course she was actually hundreds of years old but taking the souls of the young and innocent to stay youthful does that to you. She lay across a red, velvet chaise lounge that was bordered with a glinting gold. She wore a dress that was both long in length and sleeves, it had a boat neck pink lace fitting at the top, and was inky in colour. Sorren frowned at her demeaning him by the use of the word 'child' but let it slide, he knew not to anger or belittle her, especially in her domain.

Sorren didn't want to spend more time than he had to in this place and so got straight to the point.

"I need something to help me locate the Witch Regent's son", Sorren said bluntly before folding his arms across his chest, "All I know is that he has transferred to the school and is being cloaked to hide his identity".

"That is one big ask, it would be such a bother to break a powerful spell cast by none other than the Witch Regent herself", she smiled, feigning she was uninterested.

Sorren rolled his eyes, this was it, he had to offer her something that he most probably shouldn't but the pros outweighed the cons in this situation.

"I know how your business transactions go, I'm here to make a suitable trade".

"You've certainly done your research, what could you possibly offer me that I don't already have, hmm?".

"Potent hybrid venom".

"Ohhhh, I haven't been able to get my hands on that. You definitely know how to excite a lady", she purred with a small laugh. "You hybrids are so scarce in numbers, that I haven't been able to get some, I guess today is my lucky day".

"Deal".

With a blink of Sorren's eyes, The Crone was next him, and with a click of her fingers she had injected a needle attached to a long tube, which itself was connected to a glass jar, into his gums.

"This will hurt but it won't last more than a second", she said abruptly with an almost poisonous smile and without giving Sorren a chance to reply, she whispered what must have been a spell. An overwhelming shot of pain was sent throughout the whole of Sorren's body and he had instinctively reached his hands up to remove the contraption from his mouth. However, it was already gone, and The Crone lay back on her chaise lounge with a glass jar in her right hand and lightly swirling around a liquid that was a mixture in colour of lime green and lightening blue. His venom.

She worn a smug grin on her face as she looked down at the contents of the jar. "Oh, you're still here", she uttered taking a glance up at Sorren. Oh how he wanted to kill her on the spot. The Crone simply waved a hand and a small indigo glass bottle appeared in Sorren's palm, "Drink that and then think solely of the name 'Xander Hennifort', picture it clearly in your mind with nothing else". The Crone's eyes returned to the jar in her right hand, "You will find who you seek, now begone".

Sorren didn't need to be told twice, he hated being told what to do but he was more than happy to leave her. He exited through the Eluvian in which he came and found himself back in his dorm room, he turned to look back at the magic mirror but it deteriorated right before his eyes. Pieces of it falling off but leaving no trace of its existence. It was gone just like that.

It seemed as if quite a bit of time had passed since Sorren entered the Eluvian, it looked as if it was already dark and Sorren checked his phone for the time. It had just struck 5:30pm, he assumed time passed differently in there compared to the real world. He sat on his sofa and stared at the little bottle The Crone had given him, it was too late to back out of his plan now.

((Sorry for the really slow reply! And I know the pain, trust me, you better get used to it because this website can be a bitch sometimes xD))

Emilie had just settled into her new... office.. when the work phone went off. It was buzzing psychotically  on the dark desk that she'd been provided with and looked as if it would fall off the end if allowed to continue its tantrum. Her blue eyes rolled as she strode over to pick it up. Apparently, her work was going to start immediately. A teacher was sending a student her way.

She quickly tidied everything up, but made sure there was still plenty of room for illusions if need be. Since she was the new counselor, she'd been given a bit of leniency on how the office would look.

After an hour, a box of crackers, some tissues, and a broken picture frame- The student had been sent on their way. Emilie had a smile on. She was perched against the front of her desk with arms folded. "Well, One down." She smiled and moved to close the door.

"Siri-" She spoke, and Siri responded with that little 'listening tone'.

"Siri- Take a Note please." She continued.

"Okay, What would you like the note to say?" The modified Male British Siri voice asked from her open laptop. Emilie nodded to herself. She was glad she updated her laptop after all.

"Today, *Insert the date* from *time the student came in* to," She glanced at a clock, "*current time*, I have successfully helped the first student at this school.."

She went on telling the computer the events that had happened in the session while pacing the room with hands behind her back. It helped her think more creatively. Once done, she sealed the note, put it under a special sub heading, and encrypted it for her eyed only. "Patient confidentiality after all.." She said while finishing up.

((Thinking one of these for an Office.... But I cant Decide!!!!))

Alex had lead Meda outside and he had his guitar with him, he was bored and so he decided he would take his guitar out of its case. Once he removed his guitar from its black leather case he took it into his hands sitting down on one of the benches outside. He smiled as he looked around and he began to tune his guitar to the song he wanted. It took him only a few moments, he was used to playing this song after all. He always loved to play music and sing. He leaned back as he strummed the first few notes, he then began to sing softly to himself. He never normally sang in the open but he figured it no one was around.

((Outside the front of the school sitting on a bench))

After about thirty minutes, she got bored. This was a new place, and she had yet to even explore it. Everything was just hustle-bustle up to this point. It'd been so long since she'd been in or around any magical community, that now everything was new and exciting again.

"Okay- Thats it." She huffed to herself and searched for a scrap of paper.

She grabbed the nearest writing instrument, yanked the cap off in her teeth and wrote: Out and about! If you need me- contact me! We are a place of magic after all!

She also included a little drawing of an overly happy smiley-face. That was sure to piss someone somewhere off. With a smirk she grabbed a piece of tape and went to slap it on the door.

"Ah shoot, my phone." She grumbled and speed-walked back inside to snatch it up. "Righto, on we go." She smiled and then proceeded to lock up her office and marched out of the building to start go no where in particular.

If she had been listening she woukd hear the soft talented voice of Alex as he sang. It was soothing and rather well. He had a nice voice. Powerful yet emotional. The song he had just been singing ended. And he hadnt noticed the woman when he started a second.

The air was different. That was the first thing she noticed. It was more... energetic. It had a tingling feel to it. She smiled then looked around, hoping to see some students practicing or studying. Instead, she got distracted by a boy playing a guitar and singing. She slowly walked over and folded her arms. Her optimistic smile remained. It was clear that she wasn't a student since.. she did look older that the normal high school age. The kid was singing a song she'd heard a lot in normal human places. In fact, the last time she'd heard this song was at a beach in California. It was the summer.. nice and sunny.. perfect day. Wonderful memory. She'd made a mental note to re-create it some time.

After the song was over Alex looked up skiling and he noticed the woman and he blushed "O-oh...how long have you been standing there....?" He asked nervously. No one had ever heard him sing before and this was a complete stranger. 'Oh no she probably thinks im terrible' he thought to himself as his heart raced 'And shes a pretty woman too! Come on Alex seriously!'

She smiled and nodded. "Only for.. well, since you started. It was very good." She told him. Poor kid, he was blushing, and nervous too. Her eyebrows rose and her head tilted.

"You should sing more often. I can tell you're not use to an audience. People love to hear live music." She commented. Her powers didn't even need to be used to understand that much. It was.. quite obvious.

Alex blushed harder. His cheeks a dark red as he shook his head "I'm not that good." He said humbly as he set the guitar down in its case zipping it up and setting it aside.

"Why dont you sit down?" He asked politely as he  waited for her to sit down. "i dont bite. Yet." He smirked as he teased her

She blinked a few times. "Sorry umm. I dont think.. I dont think that would be appropriate." She offered an apology of a smile. He was much younger- and she was part of the staff... and this was only her second day here!

"Anyway, I'm the new counselor here. Emilie Briar." She segwayed and offered her hand for a shake.

He chuckled and he looked at her "What you cant sit on a bench with a student?" He said in disbelief, he was a werewolf, he was much older than he looked. He was about 200 years old although he appeared to be 17. He sighed as he looked over her "Alexander Martinez." He then added "You do know Im a Werewolf right?" He asked as a passive way for her to know he was much older than she thought

He was about 200 years old although he appeared to be 17. He sighed as he looked over her "Alexander Martinez." He then added "You do know Im a Werewolf right?" He asked as a passive way for her to know he was much older than she thought

@Enmyira

"I know for a fact the rules do not say you cant sit and have a casual conversation with a student."  He said as he laughed and leant back. His muscles wete still sore from everything that happened earlier
