Cassiel's blinding spell stunned the Imps and stopped them from assaulting John. With the combined might of Huj, Dura, and Cassiel, the Wolf Guild manage to rout and drive off the attacking Imps. Their numbers were thinned out and they realized that the fight was unwinnable for them.

Once the Imps were well away, John stood up and helped up Rina. The guild leader's armor had plenty of scratches and also several cuts and bruises on his face. He could barely keep his left eye open. "Sorry about that, Rina." He apologized to the half-elf. "Are you alright? I hope I wasn't being too intrusive." John sheepishly chuckled.

Looking around and seeing that the guild members were mostly unharmed with only minor injuries and also seeing the Vampire girl safe in the distance, John nodded. "The Imps were unexpected but despite that, you all handled the situation perfectly. Great job, everyone!" The guild leader praised.

"Now then, let's all get Hera back home. I'll probably handle that myself." John continued. "Although, where did you guys find her?"

While neither knife nor claw had been able to score a telling hit in their brief exchange the imp wisely decided discretion to be the better part of valor and fled before the charging wolf guild, leaving Cassiel to watch the retreat with some satisfaction. “Just in time...” he muttered, recalling the doppelgangers words.

With the immediate threat out of the way the elf gave Clair a quick nod and motioned toward John who was helping the half-elf Rina recover. His intent was clear, to pass on the words of his look alike whom seemed overly well informed on this incident.

Closing with the rest of the group Cassiel took a moment to study the vampire girl, a brief smile crossing his features as he was pleased to be working with such reliable guild mates. Quickly his demeanor turned more serious though as he approached John and relayed their earlier encounter.
“His appearance matched yours and he seemed to know us... the look alike also spoke of a friend in Galventia; one who might make a grave mistake without your interference.” The elf shook his head, “It makes no sense, but the doppelganger also knew of miss Vondonia.”

"Heh, I'm not a kid Dura don't touch my hair." He gently removed her hand and smiled. Heh she sure did look cute when she was happy. It's quite odd that elves don't like orcs that much, they aren't so bad. Maybe a little playful and annoying but not so bad. He looked her up and down slightly. Heh she has a nice body too. He shook his head he shouldn't be thinking such things, she's his best friend. "Heh...anyway ya the mission was quite fun. I honestly can't wait to relax after this. Hey Illiara how are you feeling about our first mission?" He smiled at her, he hoped it wasn't obvious he liked her in a more romantic sorta way.​

"Well, it was certainly exciting to be fighting alongside all of you for the first time." She replied, tucking a stray strand of blond hair behind her ear. "I'm just happy that Hera got out of there safely."

"Huh? D-Doppelganger? A friend in Galventia?" John replied confused. "Umm, what are you talking about? A doppelganger of who? And he talked about Hera?" The guild leader had to ask. "Y-You know what? Let's talk later. Let's get to safety first."

The guild had returned back to Galventia where John had elected to take Hera back to her family. Apparently, somebody have attempted to kidnap Hera Vondonia only for the vampire child to turn the tables on them resulting in two dead bodies along with her. The Imps... well, Hera was not sure where they came from or why they were trying to catch her but John believed they likely just caught wind that there was a kidnapped vampire girl which they could take for whatever nefarious purpose they had.

While John was busy returning Hera, Ragnar ferried the guild members back to the Wolf Guild headquarters. "Alright, you heard what John said. You're all free to relax for the rest of the day..." The boatman then looked at the setting sun, already half-hidden behind the horizon. "Err... night, I guess." He corrected himself. "Heard you guys ran into some Imps, how the heck did you guys run into Imps just finding a vampire girl?"

Clover silently stared out into the ocean from outside the Wolf's Guild Headquarters, his demeanor calm and contemplative as he mulled over the events of the quest. He always liked the sea. It was a constant in a world where change can happen with a snap of someone's fingers. Something dangerous yet calm. In some ways, Clover liked to think that the sea and he weren't so different. Maybe it was wishful thinking or his pride talking, after all, the sea isn't comparable to one person alone. That doesn't stop him from taking comfort in its presence though. Everytime he needed to think he would go to the sea. In a sense, its somewhat become an advisor for him. Or a silent friend offering solidarity whenever he might need it. But right now, he simply took comfort in its presence as his thoughts wandered to his first ever quest as a member of the newly formed Wolf Guild.

Well, putting it like that would imply he actually helped in it but, as far as anyone is concerned, he did jacksquat that quest besides deal with some Imps. Clover felt his hand clench in aggravation. He originally planned to just observe and help when needed that quest. Having grown up and worked alone for a majority of his life, he wasn't used to working with others who he has to watch and guard. Sure, there were some escort jobs during his life as a mercenary but, those were few and far between. So the plan had originally been to stay silent and observe, to gather information. But when things had inevitably gone south at the end of the quest Clover had been torn. Being part of Rina's team it was his job to help protect her. Yet, during the scuffle at the end, he chose to keep on fighting the group of Imps attacking him instead of helping John and Rina. Clover wasn't an idiot. He knew you should never turn your back on an enemy but, at the same time, he also knew that he would've been strong enough to handle whatever the Imps he was fighting would've thrown at him had he turned his back on them. Instead he became selfish and chose to be cautious and keep himself safe instead of choosing to tank a few hits for the betterment of his team. Because of his inability to communicate and make a small sacrifice his team leader-- who also happened to be the head of the Wolf Guild-- had gotten injured. Hell, Clover wouldn't be surprised if John came up to him next morning to say that he just wasn't fit to be in a guild and kicked him out. Clover let out a frustrated huff of air and gazed out once more into the ocean whose beauty was accentuated by the reflection of the moons. Hoping that in its depths he'll find answers.​

"Those vermin were just waiting outside where the girl was." Dura told the boat man. "I didn't think Imps even nested in the isle, how did they get all the way over here?" The Orc furrowed her brow. Most imps stayed in Tbjornar and we're mostly up in the northern countries. How they manage to infest these waters was beyond her but she was glad they were taken care of, mostly. A part of her was angry for not slashing every last one of those purple pimples back at the forest but at least the girl was brought home safely. Who knew that little vamp had it in her to take on two men? Dura felt they had deserved death at Hera's hands. "Nonetheless, we did got the gal and that's what should matter." Dura grinned as she walked back into the guild hall, passing the other members. She could use a good meal and a good night's sleep. Thankfully switching from the Earth territory's nocturnal schedule was easy when she arrived at Kolan all that time ago.

"I assume they got onto the island by water." Illiara mentioned offhandedly as she followed Dura into the guild hall. She smiled up at the female orc, eyes shimmering underneath the light of the sun. "When my group was walking down the coastline, we discovered what seemed to be the boat they arrived on." She further clarified, carding her gloved fingers through the tri-colored feathers of her wings, which were ruffled severely by the scuffle from earlier.

"Boats huh? Didn't know the little buggers could operate ships." Ragnar remarked. "But I suppose Dura's right, the vampire's safe and you've all accomplished the request. All's well that ends well, right?" The boatman added. "Like I said, you guys can relax until the next day. I heard John want to undertake multiple quests tomorrow, dividing up the guild and all."

~THE NEXT DAY~

The next day had come and after the guild members had washed up and eaten their breakfasts, John had them all assembled at the hall. "Everyone! I know I said this before but I'd like to congratulate you all on our first mission." The Wolf Guild leader began. "It wasn't smooth but we still completed our request with flying colors." He continued. "Thus, I have received our reward. The gold received will be distributed evenly among all of us. Meanwhile, you can get the equipment upgrades in the armory."

"Now then, to the next order of business. For today, I'd like you all to split up and take on different requests." John declared to the guild members. "This will increase the guild's efficiency in completing requests and not clog up a request with too many people. I mean, some of the requests could be done by just one of us." He explained his decision. "I hope you understand my decision. You can go alone or with someone else. I'll let you all decide whom you go with."

Dura mulled it over, wondering who to ask to go with her. She looked over at Huj and Iliara, maybe they could go together? The three of them? The orc thought for a bit on this. Perhaps it would be better to get to know the other members. it would be good to get along with everyone. "I'd like to go on the Missing person's quest for Marielle Donna." Her eyes glanced over at the to the member's. "Any one want to team up with me for that? It'll take more than one to find a well known actress like her." A grin played on her face. She's heard of the actress but only ever saw her once. It was a lovely play.

As Dura stepped forward, the harpy stepped up with her own request, quite oblivious to the glances that the orc had sent her."I'd like to take on the Sky is the Limit quest." The smile that tugged at her lips was practically blinding in it's brilliance, exuding a sort of charm that only the most airheaded of people could possess. As a harpy, she found the idea of a flying machine to be incredibly fascinating, and the thought that she could help in bringing it to completion was very appealing to her.​

When Rina arrived at the guild house, she was so tired that she headed straight to bed after putting her her violin case on a desk. She didn't even take off her cloak. Never mind the hard mattress or flat pillow; She was just glad to have a bed under her. Being an adventurer was not as easy as in stories. They did managed to save the girl, but not before facing off against her kidnappers. That night, Rina's dream was filled with green people, swaying to the sound of a grass playing a bamboo flute.

As the sun shone and raised her up, Rina brushed her hair before heading downward for breakfast. She was not a huge fan of meat, but after skipping dinner and yesterday's quest, she added a slice of lamb to her plate. With breakfast out of the way, it was time to pick a quest for the day. Something in city area, preferably. She loved the wood, but after yesterday's quest, she wanted to appreciate the orderly atmosphere of civilisation.

That was why when Dura looked for people to join her in another search for missing person, she quickly raised her hand.

"Me! I want to look for the artist!"

And an artist! Someone she could look up to! And the good reputation with with the manager wouldn't hurt! It is crucial for an entertainer to widen her social network!

There was a sense of relief and elation at having the guild successfully complete its first mission; yet Cassiel decided to keep festivities on the light side. His self appointed duty of aspiring historian had him commit recent events to the a stack of aged pages while events where still fresh in mind, carrying into the evening hours. Today the elf had decided he would gather some more information from other teams to make for a more complete accounting until Dura's voice managed to catch his attention.

Mariella Donna, the name seemed familiar... besides his abilities seemed suited to tracking down lost things or persons. He smiled, the way she smiled made his heart jump. She was definitely someone who would make every day worth going through. "Besides I think I've hung out with Dura long enough, I wouldn't wanna start falling for her." He chuckled to himself but found himself sorta realizing that it may be true...nah he only really cares about Illiara in that way, she's nice, isn't seen as an enemy of the people, and spreads happiness everywhere she goes...Dura has always seemed somewhat nice of course but what if she wasn't to be trusted and really was some sort of barbaric monster...just maybe. The Wolf Guild have embarked their ship once again. This time however, the boat will have multiple destinations rather than a single one. Ragnar would first drop off Illiara and Huj at Draconica before heading over to Marielle's home island since John advised to investigate her house for any clues on her whereabouts. The boat arrived at the port and Ragnar's instructions were the same: He would come back in several hours to check if the guild members are done with the quest or if they are still alive or something.

Thus, the quest officially began. The group's destination was Marielle's home, a nice manor sitting on a sizable plot of land. It was supposedly beautiful and vibrant as befitting of a successful actress of many theater plays. But upon reaching said abode, what greeted the Wolf Guild was not the home of a famous actress rather a shadow of glories past. The manor itself was in disrepair, vines and similar plants crawling across its walls. The gardens were in similar condition with overgrown trees and grasses. All in all, the place looked more of a haunted mansion rather than the home of a well-known and presumably rich actress. But the guild members knew why it was in this condition, its owner had disappeared for months now.

The manor was large and so was the plot of land. The Wolf Guild would likely want to plan on how their search of this seemingly abandoned manor would go.

The quest has officially began. Asking around the port for an inventor with a flying contraption, the Wolf Guild was directed to one of a series of cliffs in the Dracoviran wilderness. They were also advised not to disturb the local Dragons too much. The walk to the area was not long nor uncomfortable. Soon, the two spot a large contraption laying on the edge of a cliff. It was built with wood and sheets and there was a man working on it. It could be compared to a bird for it had two wings as well as a tail as well as being shaped like one. Although the tail was differently shaped than an average bird's.

"Hello there, friends! You come to enjoy the scenery?" The human male called out to you. He appeared to be in his mid-thirties. "Or are you those people from those newly-founded Guilds everyone was talking about?"

Dura trekked to the star's home and was a bit shocked. "Even if she wasn't home, you would think the actress paid people to keep it up anyways?" This was intriguing. No guards or adoring fan's flocking this place. One would think some fanatic would take an investigation into their own hands. "As much as i want to go inside I'm going to take a look around this mansion. and the property just in case." Cassiel observed the plot casually, taking in the rampant growth with passing interest. Surely the overgrowth was unusual for a human habitation, but having been raised within the grand forest of Legionatis the vegetation appealed to him. “Perhaps we should stick together for now?” The elf suggested, agreeing with Dura's plan of action and feeling just a tad unnerved by the absence of any inhabitants as the Orc had pointed out. He looked to Rina for confirmation before adding, “We should also look for an easy way in as we circle around.”

The gravel path arched toward the back of the mansion, making for an easy walk through the gardens if one avoided the thorny vines spilling across form a number of rose bushes. Stepping forward Cass mused, “It is a rather large home for one person... larger than our Hall I would guess. Do you believe someone else could have taken residence during Miss Donna's absence?”

"I doubt it. The owner is missing, but it's still a mansion," Rina answered Cassiel as she followed him over the gravel path. "nobles wouldn't lower themselves to sleeping in another's mansion without permission, and aside from servants and guards, common people wouldn't think of doing that."
Rina went into a halt as the mansion became larger in her view. Even from close view, the house looked abandoned with dusty floor and unpolished windows. It was certainly unusual for the mansion to be abandoned like this; An entertainer of the wealthier crowd should know to keep up appearance; An entertainer's weapon is his talent in art, and one's armour is one's clothings and charm. Following that line of thinking, it is normal to think that an entertainer's house might as well be his fortress. An unkept house might be seen as a lack of attention to one's appearance, or that one doesn't care enough to put up appearance for the guests. Both wouldn't do good for an entertainer's reputation.

"Rather than the garden, shouldn't we search the master bedroom first? If the reason of her disappearance is related to personal matter, we should be able to find clues there," she said as she pushed open the entrance door.

Cassiel observed the plot casually, taking in the rampant growth with passing interest. Surely the overgrowth was unusual for a human habitation, but having been raised within the grand forest of Legionatis the vegetation appealed to him. “Perhaps we should stick together for now?” The elf suggested, agreeing with Dura's plan of action and feeling just a tad unnerved by the absence of any inhabitants as the Orc had pointed out. He looked to Rina for confirmation before adding, “We should also look for an easy way in as we circle around.”

The gravel path arched toward the back of the mansion, making for an easy walk through the gardens if one avoided the thorny vines spilling across form a number of rose bushes. Stepping forward Cass mused,
“It is a rather large home for one person... larger than our Hall I would guess. Do you believe someone else could have taken residence during Miss Donna's absence?”
"I doubt it. The owner is missing, but it's still a mansion," Rina answered Cassiel as she followed him over the gravel path. "nobles wouldn't lower themselves to sleeping in another's mansion without permission, and aside from servants and guards, common people wouldn't think of doing that." Rina went into a halt as the mansion became larger in her view. Even from close view, the house looked abandoned with dusty floor and unpolished windows. It was certainly unusual for the mansion to be abandoned like this; An entertainer of the wealthier crowd should know to keep up appearance; An entertainer's weapon is his talent in art, and one's armor is one's clothings and charm. Following that line of thinking, it is normal to think that an entertainer's house might as well be his fortress. An unkempt house might be seen as a lack of attention to one's appearance, or that one doesn't care enough to put up appearance for the guests. Both wouldn't do good for an entertainer's reputation.

"Rather than the garden, shouldn't we search the master bedroom first? If the reason of her disappearance is related to personal matter, we should be able to find clues there," she said as she pushed open the entrance door.
Dura frowned. She agreed with Cassiel the possibilities of squatters was a great one. mansion or not, desperate or just crazy people would hop on the opportunity of staying in a mansion that looks as abandoned as this. "Rina I wouldn't go in there, if there's squatters or not Cassie here is right, we should stick together and make sure there's nothing keepin' people in the house rather than out. " Dura took a step towards the small elf, er half elf. "Let's just be cautious." The Orc didn't want something like the imps from last time to happen again. It was better to at least look around the house before going in it.

En Route to the Wolf Guild House

After becoming a stowaway on a ship that he had little care for, he was apparently arrived at Galventia. After the coast was clear, he sneaked off the ship. It was a wonderful sight; the crisp air, the fresh breeze- causing his scarf to flow in the wind. All of which, was cut short by a growl.

Indeed, like any other human after a long journey, he was hungry. The port he landed on had barely a market stall to plunder. However, the was something that caught his fancy: the big building to the side that was not in any-way-shape-or-form the Wolf Guild House, he thought, would have something edible stored inside.

It looked like, a tavern. However, he didn't have too many gold pieces on him. So, he's gonna have to do what he does best, and do what thieves do. He stood far away from the Guild House, as to not draw any attention. He eyed out the area for possible places to hide and/or break in. He also began assessing his weaponry. A fresh set of daggers, and a short-sword. It wasn't much, but his feet will serve him well if things go sour.

He concluded that, sadly, there was no sneaky way to enter. No back-doors, no windows that could be bypassed. Besides, he didn't want to alert anyone of his presence. So, he mustered his confidence, and decided to simply go through the one way he can, the front entrance. As he ambled forward, he may be meeting someone who'd be sitting at the Guild House's doorstep.

The group had circled around the manor and to the backyard. Lush green plant life made the yard look more like a forest than someone's backyard since there was no one to maintain it. However, the group noticed that someone was watching them, looking at them as if they were prey.

Suddenly, something fell from one of the trees in front of the group. He was a bald man wearing foreign clothing and wielding a long wooden pole with steel ends. His weapon was at the ready, pointed threateningly towards the group. His stance was prepared and it would not do good for the guild to try anything to him as he appeared he could move strike at them at a moment's notice. "Who are you? What are you doing in this abandoned manor?" The foreign man demanded, a little bit of accent in his voice.

"Looters, perhaps? Scavengers?" He tried to guess, his weapons still at the ready. "I'll have you know that this place still belongs to someone. Or are you robbers?"

"Oh no! Not at all! In fact, you coming here makes this a very good time!" The man replied. He was dressed like some sort of inventor or tinkerer. Apt clothing for one working on such a machine.

"You see, there are many things I need for this here machine that will let a flightless man like me fly. Trust me, I'll be soaring like an eagle or my name ain't Kyle Charleston!" He then looked out to the cliff. "I shall be the first man swooping down this cliff, yes I shall." Kyle explained what the contraption was and what his purpose was.

"I'd leap off now only it seems like I need more adhesive to keep the wings together. I've concocted my own special formula for it since that store-bought stuff isn't strong enough." Kyle said. "However, I can't abandon my machine to gather more materials. Namely, a bunch of bird feathers, doesn't matter what kind, along with a parcel of hides to boil down along with some Morning Light flowers to make it all pliable." The machinist enumerated.

"So will you help me and gather the remaining? You don't need to do get them all now though. You can come back with the materials some other day since there are still some things that needs tweaking out." Kyle then asked. "I assure you that besides the usual monetary reward, you will witness a spectacle that even the gods in Heaven will look upon with wonder!"

You woke a little bit late this morning and emerged from your quarters only to find the guild HQ basically deserted. "Oh, good morning Clair." John greeted you in the main hall, in full gear. "I was just about to leave for a quest. I even told Ragnar to get you caught up in what's been happening once you woke up." The guild leader said.

"But since you're awake now, I guess I can just tell you." John began. "The others have already left for the quest. Ragnar has even returned from taking them to the islands where their objectives were. Meanwhile, I'm taking this quest that's going to take two days of travel so I'm not going to be around for quite a while. Also, Ragnar's not going to be sailing there for me since he needs to monitor the other guild members. I'm taking the ships in the Galventian port. Gonna pay the fare and everything."

"You wanna come with me, by any chance?" John offered. "I think it's about chasing several huge geese or something."
Approaching the front door, you were stopped by a loud clearing of throat to let you know that someone had indeed noticed you. "I see you've been eyeing the guild headquarters for a while now." The man had just appeared, leaning on the wall with a giant axe strapped to his back. He appeared to be some sort of barbarian warrior and he has just seen you snooping around the building.

"You lost, boy? Or are you here for... a reason?" He said as he stopped leaning and approached you. "Looking to join us? Or do something to us?" He continued asking. You feel you need to choose your next words carefully.

While he agreed with Dura's plan to scout around the outside, in part because the wild garden put him at ease, the elf considered Rina the most experienced of them when it came to mansions or artist and was willing to follow her lead in this matter. By now they had almost reached the back of the sizable estate; the vegetation was only growing thicker and Cassiel could have sworn there was a glimpse of movement just beyond his field of vision. “You think it was a personal matter that made her disappear?” he inquired, just moments before an angry man dropped from the canopy of branches above to threateningly point his weapon at the group.

The initial shock of a suddenly appearing man throwing accusations around took Cass aback; luckily his instincts relied strongly on his magical gifts having him throw up his hands in a non threatening gesture rather than go for the knife on his belt. “We are hardly common criminals. My name is Cassiel Fyrune and we are here as members of the Wolf Guild to find the owner of this Estate.” The elf kept his expression neutral, feeling he'd spoken enough and now looking to his companions for support.

"You can leave it to us!" Illiara grinned, keeping in mind the list of materials he needed them to collect. This man was going to make history, and she would be more than delighted to help him reach his goal. "So, Huj, shall we begin?" She inquired, turning towards the elf beside her with an eyebrow raised questioningly.
