Fantasy Kolan and The Wolf Guild

The members have made their decisions, they would be staying at the guild for now and get settled. "Very well. Let us all rest for now and prepare for our quest tomorrow." John announced.

"Oh but before any of you leave, let me say some things first." John began. "This guild has two floors. Our rooms are all located in the second floor. I made sure that we have enough rooms so one member could have one room. But err, since some of you are interested in sharing, you are free to do that." The guild leader explained further. "Here on the first floor, we are currently in the dining area with the kitchen just being over there." John pointed behind the room. "This is one side from the guild lobby, on the other side is our lounge where you guys can relax. We also have a small library there but err, there are only a few books there currently. If anyone picks up a good novel or two, you guys are free to donate."

"Now then, regarding conduct." John cleared his throat. "I want everyone to respect everyone here. In this guild, you are all part of the same team. a team where everyone will be working together. If there is disagreement, it will be settled civilly and it must be resolved." He declared to everyone. His tone serious and confident, clearly wanting everyone to heed these words. "If there is someone here you cannot stand, you are free to leave. There is no point in continuing your misery. If you continue to stay, that means you WILL not only tolerate those you dislike but also trust them at least. For when the time comes, these people will be the ones watching your backs. Am I making myself clear?"

"Oh, before I forget, there is man here named Ragnar. He is a friend of mine from Gloryce and he handles our port here." John added. "Kolan is a lot of islands and our quests may take place in the other islands. In fact, it is probably guaranteed. Ragnar here can help ferry you to your destinations if you'd like. You can go talk to him for more specific details. He looks pretty fierce and I think he kinda actually is but he's here to help out don't worry."

"Alright then. You are all dismissed. Make yourselves comfortable." John smiled at the members. "Welcome to the Wolf Guild."

"I'm John Doe, the leader of this guild. Everybody else has already shared their names but I suppose you two can pick up their names later." He continued. "Now then, do the two of you mind introducing yourselves to me? Also, I'm happy to answer any questions you have. I'm also ready to re-explain everything I have said earlier if I have to."

"Dura I wouldn't have made that statement if I wasn't sure...hmm maybe we can get another person to share the room. Hopefully we can get someone to want to join us." As he thought of a person to invite he picked up some conversation between the lovely harpy nearby and the lightning quick guy from before...though he didn't believe he was faster than him, maybe he would challenge him to a race one day. Huj's eyes once again fixated on the Harpy after hearing her conversate about making her own guns and even being skilled with them...she seemed just his type but he must try his hardest not to let his nervousness take over him. He put Dura on pause with that last statement and walked over to talk to the Harpy. "U-umm h-hello there, I'm H-huj. You m-may have heard that I'm the c-co-leader of the guild...." He paused for a moment noticing he was stuttering again 'come on...snap out of it, snap out of it Huj...' He then cleared his throat and continued. "I just wanted to say umm...I am very fond of your work myself and would love to maybe create some weapons with you...I mostly specialize in adding magic to weapons though." He held his hand up making his rifle appear in hand, he then showed it to her. "Heh...so maybe you can be my roommate with me and Dura...I mean I understand if you don't want to of course...I just ya know..." He fell silent for a moment. "I would just love it if you did...please consider the offer." He finally finished and when he looked over he saw Dura next to him trying to hold back a laugh as his face turned slightly red from embarrassment.​

Dura's attention snapped towards John Doe once again. The rules seemed reasonable. She quite enjoyed the casual atmosphere this place gave off. Though Doe did show promise in maintaining a firm leadership here. She watched as he went to address that lovely elf girls from earlier, the one she smiled at before who seemed a bit shy as she turned away. Of course, an orc must look intimidating to such a delicate elf. Later Dura would like to find the time to speak to the elf woman. Right now her thoughts were interrupted by Huj and... a beautiful harpy woman.

The orc held back a chuckle as Huj spoke to her. He was offering the supposedly third space in his room to her. Dura still doubted a bedroom would be big enough but decided to go with it. Both he and the woman were gunslingers, cute. "Heh, yep Huj here is great with enchantments, and plus, room with us, free transmutations for free bullets." She grinned, maybe Dura could get a better look at those tiny yet deadly weapons to study. Huj is so protective of his rifle, all she wanted was to study them and see if she could use its mechanics in her own practice. Even replicate the wounds in dummies and try to understand how to heal such damage in flesh better. But nooooo it was his precious weapon. "Plus, three is a lucky number, what do you say?"

Illiara couldn't help the blush that dusted her cheeks as she listened to the two speak, her feathers notably ruffled in embarrassment upon hearing their offer. "Well," She looked down at the floor, gently biting her lip as she briefly mulled over her decision. "If you would have me." She finally said in reply, looking up at the orc and the half-elf and flashing them a beaming smile, as if the sun had toppled out of the sky and made a home right there in her heart.

It came as quite a shock at first, to be honest, hearing their offer to share a room together when they've only just met her. Yet, they seemed rather determined to convince her to take up their proposal, even going as far as to promise their services in enchantments and transmutations. Not to mention, Huj apparently shared the same conviction she had for guns, showing off his own flintlock hunting rifle. She had sat up in rapt attention at the sight, eyes sparkling with unconcealed awe as she regarded the weapon before she snapped out of her reverie. At that point, she was hardpressed to refuse the both of them, and you could see it in the way she distractedly fidgeted with her pistol, eyes glued towards the small firearm she held in her hands before she finally agreed.

It took Fionn a moment to adjust to the situation, as this all was beginning to feel as though he had stepped through a portal into a new world. this new situation felt foreign to the simple minded Colt-boy. His thoughts were immediately interrupted by the greetings of what he could assume to be the Guild Master, who confirmed the Centaur's location -The Wolf Guild- and asked if they were joining. Fionn hesitated to answer, and yet, a smile came to him as he did. Despite interrupting Clair, he gave his answer.
“Shoot, why- else would I come all the way ou’ here? Just to ask ya somethang?” He asked teasingly, a youthful smile curving on his face. The fear and nervousness before had suddenly began to sprout into a sheer unwavering excitement and thrill, the complement of his first hurdle was nearly in sight, and the start of a new adventure awaited the boisterous colt. The Centaur looked upon the room with eyes filled of wondrous amazement, like watching a child view the beautiful lights of the night sky.
The Guildmaster asked for them to introduce themselves, which -almost immediately after he finished his sentence- The Centaur quickly obliged. “My’ name’s uhhh…” he stopped, his eyes drifting slowly downwards as he was caught in deep thought. “Fionn- Yes, Fionn! Fionn Achaius to be exact!” He announced proudly, raising himself into a proud and heroic posture. “And- Neigh, I th-a-nk (Think) I can figure it ou’.” He joked with a friendly smile. “It’s awfully naice t’mee’cha… Joe.” He returned the greeting, holding out his hand to gesture the exchange of a handshake.

Huj was in shock that she had actually agreed but he was super happy and excited all at once. "I am s-so so glad that you agreed, I can show you the room right now if you are ready...or I mean sorry you were in a conversation...I can come back later if you would like or something..." He really hated this side of him, hopefully he would get to know her better so he wouldn't act this way. He then noticed her embarrassment and gave a small smile. This was the first time he was actually successful in talking to a girl he had a feeling he would like, it was odd but an amazing feeling to have this connection of creativity with weaponry, especially guns. "Sorry...that I'm being weird...I usually just have trouble talking...to beautiful girls heh." He tried to clear it up but realized he actually said what he meant and he became even more embarrassed than before.​

Dura smiled brightly. Both of them seemed so embarrassed and adorable. No wonder...he wanted to ask the small, cute harpy woman to room with them. She pushed a few thoughts from her mind and nodded to Huj's words. Putting her stuff up would be wonderful right now. In fact she half wanted to just look for his room o her own right now. Seems like he wanted to keep talking to the harpy, but perhaps they could all get what they wanted. "Yeah let's go see the room. Unpack, unwind. get to know each other." Dura grinned. "I mean, you now our names, what would be yours?" The orc took a step towards the stairs to the rooms, hoping they could walk and talk.

Clair's thoughts on the orc were soon made only worse by Doe's following words 'I want everyone to respect everyone here'. The mear utterance of such a thing sent shockwaves up and down Clair's spine. There was NO way she was ever going to respect a 'golum'. Especially an orc who through the practice of alchemy disgraced the art of magic itself! Was this human insane? How could he ask such a thing! Clair was disgusted and beginning to feel very sick.

Doe soon made his way over to Clair and the centaur, by which time Clair was trying her utmost best to fight back the urge of puking. All be it she did a hell of a good job hiding this fact. Luckily enough for Clair the centaur spoke up first, giving her the time she needed to not only calm her stomach but her mind. Clair was still upset at the fact she would be working with an orc but in saying that she just needed to ensure she kept 'it' at a good distance at all times. When the centaur, now identified as Fionn, finished his piece Clair moved to write out her own introduction before passing her notebook on over to John. The page read I am Clair O'Reilly, a high elf of one hundred and nine years old. My profession is that of an apothecary, however, I'm sure you already know that based upon my submitted form, I look forward to working with you and I'll reserve my right to a room of my own. I understand based on a previous question and your explanation of the hall itself that you have no lab area and so if it's not too much of a burden I would like to request a plot of the field out back. Clover watched as each of the guild's members started talking amongst each other, the atmosphere becoming pleasant as small groups started to form and sleeping arrangements were made. So far only the Harpy, the co-leader of the guild, and the Orsimer seems to have agreed on something, while others watched from the sides. Clover glanced to Oliver, amused at how Huj and Dura had taken the attention of the Harpy away from him. Meanwhile, John Doe seems to be welcoming some newcomers--a centaur and another elf-- while everyone else prepared to go and get a room.

Realizing he had been addressed, Clover turned to Cassiel and Rina-- a rather petite half-elf whose appearance belied her true age. At first glance one might think that she was quite young but, as an elf, Clover could feel that she is older than him. It wasn't a definitive feeling, more of a hunch that he could feel. If Clover had been a proper elf he might be as good at empathic communication as other elves but, his magic being slightly skewed, that wasn't the case. Of course, you'd have to be blind to not notice the friendliness and enthusiasm of Rina. "Hmm? Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go and explore our home for the foreseeable future. Lead the way, friends." Perhaps it was her affable personality, or perhaps it was the fact that they were both half-elves, whichever it may be, Clover can't deny that he felt much more relaxed around the girl as a small smile came to his face. His eyes drifted to Cassiel, the high-elf seeming content to talk to Rina. Idly, his thoughts wandered over to the earlier discussions. Hmmm... Now there's an interesting thought...

"Oh and... you don't have to pay for renting the land." John added. "Although, I will hope that your herbs will tremendously help our guild."

Everyone had settled and got their bearings straight. It was rest and relaxation for the Wolf Guild that night as well as the calm before their true adventure.

The next day had come and John gave the order to meet up on the guild's port once every member was ready. Once everybody was present, John began. "All right, everyone. I hope you have all rested last night as we're going to be making quite the trip this day." He then cleared his throat. "Our quest for today involves a missing person. A vampire child name Hera Vondonia. According to the info, she may be in Shardlepuff or maybe somewhere in Dracoviran." John explained their quest. "Our job is simple: Find Hera Vondonia, bring her home." He declared. "I'll probably handle the home part myself though. Or I could get Ragnar to do it."

"We'll go and search Shardlepuff first since that island's closer. If there's no sign of her there, we might head into Dracoviran." John continued. "Now then, are there any questions? Is everyone ready to depart?"

Oliver was leaning against somthing, one arm crossed over his stomach but the other was playing around with his knife.

Dura listened to John explain the quest and her head turned over to Oliver as he proposed splitting up. “Of course.” She raised her hand up for a brief moment to speak before some one else could jump on it. “Splitting up may cover more ground Shnardlepuff is close to Dracoviran anyways. We would all have to go there to get quick and not to mention cheaper passage to Dracoviran. Following Clover's prompt the high elf joined his recent companions in their search for comfortable living quarters. The upper floor of the guild too was made of wood, but its structure adhered to the rigid symmetry other races favored. Cassiel commented as much but allowed himself to be led into a number of rooms before settling for one with a large window overlooking what once might have been an orchard judging by the number of trees. While he'd been busy with his pack, producing some dried herbs and honey to brew; Rina had spotted something outside and hatched plans of her own.

----Next Day----
The high elf watched the waves break along the shoreline and enjoyed the warmth of the sun on his skin as everyone gathered by the port. The guild leader, John's announcement had him lost in thought. Returning a lost child was a fair cause but finding her would prove difficult and more puzzling still was how she had gotten herself so completely lost in the first place.

“To Shardlepuff first...” Cassiel nodded sending a message of agreement in response to the majority of ideas. Better to sweep their own doorstep before setting into foreign lands. “In case we split up someone should suggest a location to meet and exchange our findings this evening.” Perhaps some of the well traveled members had been through these parts before and could offer more of a suggestion.

The reflection of Oliver's knife dancing through the air caught his attention as the man deftly spun it about.
“Maybe the child shares your restless spirit, though I hope she has not learned to move quite like you.” Cassiel commented, mild amusement creeping into his features.

Clover nodded to no one in particular after hearing the instructions for their first quest. In his opinion, bringing ten people to look for a missing kid is overkill. Then again, he did always like to say that it's 'better over than under', and besides, the sooner they get finished with this the sooner he can start thinking of what to do with the room.

"Mhm. I'm not against Speedy over there. It might be better to work in pairs or groups." Clover pointed to Oliver as he said this, contemplating the nickname before deciding it to be quite apt. Specially with his 'little' display with Dura the day prior.

Clair had woke up sometime before dawn, a very rare event for the she-elf but considering the circumstances of late perhaps this was to be expected. Clair had claimed a room of her own in a secluded corner of the second floor. The room was perhaps somewhat smaller than the rest of the rooms as a result of it's positioning but Clair much more valued both its distance from the rest of the guild members and it's view. The small room came with a bed, desk, dresser, wardrobe and a few candles for lighting. A chest would likely need to be bought or crafted in the near future but aside from that Clair was happy with her placement.

The high elf spent her early hours mixing herbs and taking inventory. She had about half a jar of honey, a small bundle of prickly node roots, some leftover morning dew and just a measly scraping of potato starch left to her name on that front. During the quest, she would have to take time out to stock up and perhaps procure the seeds needed for starting the garden. Perhaps the dockman could assist on that front? Surely he knew his way around the markets of Kolan better than she, the elf who never spoke. Perhaps he could even source some oak for fencing. There was only one way to find out.

With time progressing Clair soon made her way out to the docks and assembled with the rest of her guild all be it to the side some distance away. Wit a soft yawn Clair adjusted her potion satchel and awaited an opportunity to either converse with the dockman or Doe himself. Clair had only seven health potions remaining but surely that would be more than enough for a missing child case.

Fionn had...well, other ideas for his first night in the Guild. Fionn had planned to socialize with the rest of the group, yet they all seemed to have left to find their room- or seemed to be preoccupied tending to matters which were far beyond his comprehension. The Centaur had -not a moment ago- confirmed his entry into a Guild- Something to quell the feelings of loneliness that he had endured, yet he could not have felt more lonely. He made his way outside, laying in the comforting grass field, opting to gaze across the stars one last time- to remember this day as the first to his new life; One of Excitement, Adventure, and Companionship. Today was the start of such a bright future, yet he could not help but feel a bit cold.


Needless to say, he was up all night looking to the stars, pondering on about what the future may bring… And thus, when morning came- and the order to group up with the guild arrived to his ears- he wasn’t much of a “happy camper”. Nearly everyone had arrived at the port before he finally showed up, as he dragged his hooves against the dirt beneath like some sort of reanimated corpse. Then, he waited… and waited… and waited. The dark and warm escape of sleep called to him once more- echoing constantly through his mind. His eyes became heavy, his body became more of a burden to carry on his hooves. Eventually, a dark surrounded his vision, encroaching upon the blurred light that was once before him. He raised his head high, locked his hooves, arched his back slightly as to lazily prop his upper-half against his behind, and close his eyes to get some urgently needed sleep.

Time skipped by...

The Centaur lifted his head suddenly, jumping out of his strange half-sleep state, bringing his mind into reality. He stood sharp, frozen like a statue, as his eyes wandered the crowd for their eyes. He finally dropped his startled act once he finally realized that they had not noticed his short nap- nor even his arrival for that matter. It would certainly look awful to sleep through his first speech or miss a chance to socialize. As he took a step closer to the group, he began to grasp their words- without context, they seemed confusing enough, which only puzzled the Centaur. He drew closer, Lowering his human half as if he were sneaking up on them- which would not have really helped considering his height. Among their words, he began to slowly piece it together. The objective -while it remained a mystery to the Centaur- seemed fairly simple: find a child. A noble quest with very little potential for harm to himself or the Guild- sounded like just his cup of tea. As they continued to converse, The Centaur turned to the dock- looking over the morning sky. It all felt so surreal to him, that he should ever be here, at this very moment, going on his first quest! The Centaur couldn’t help but feel ecstatic- He closed his eyes and held his hands to his chest, taking in a breath of this new world into his lungs, before turning back to the group- quickly approaching and - well, stood just outside their communion, filling the ranks. Now- here came the tricky part of socialization: slipping into their conversation. While the Centaur could be bashful, he wasn’t exactly one with manners, and so: He interrupted them with a question of his own.
“So… Did y’all see th’ stars last nigh’?”

Illiara nodded in agreement to Cassiel's words and flashed a warm smile at Dura, absentmindedly fiddling with a bomb she held in her hands. "It seems like a lovely idea." She confirmed, tucking the aforementioned explosive into her grenade belt along with the rest.

The harpy had spent the entirety of yesterday moving in with her new roommates, and thus far, the two of them had been very kind. However, she still had a few compunctions about trusting not only them, but the rest of the guild members as well. Perhaps it was because of her upbringing, having lived in a land where outsiders were treated with caution, but then again, it had only been a single day since they've met. If they were going to work together, they would have to learn how to trust one another eventually, regardless of whatever prejudice they hold.

"Hmm yes that makes sense, I was going to suggest that but wasn't sure if everyone wanted to stay together for the first mission since you know...we all just met. But in terms of getting things done more efficiently and quickly, this is the best way. So what should our groups be? All I know is that I definitely wanna be with my roommates no matter what." He chuckles nervously a bit. Huj was very happy having Dura and Illiara move into his room, they were both really smart and created a nice positive atmosphere...well for the most part anyway without Dura trying to touch his rifle. He gave a warm smile to Illiara to show how happy was to have met someone so similar and of course...attractive.​

The Night
The room was nice.

...she couldn't find a better word for it.

Perhaps it was because she was used to her luxurious room back in EEdes. With a large feather bed for herself, a full body mirror, and marble floors. The word opulent would fit the description of her old room. Granted, it was her own choice to travel away from EEdes, but she still couldn't get used to lowering her life standard. Putting her belongings on her bed, Rina peeked out of her room.

The window gave her a clear view of the clear field below and the forest surrounding the guild house. The green tone of the atmosphere caused a smile to appear on her face. It felt wonderful to be surrounded by trees again. Though her life in EEdes hadn't been lacking whatsoever, the artificial gardens with their orderly patches of bushes and carefully spaced trees was nothing compared to the majesty of a wild forest. The forest in her sight was only a fraction of the forest back in Legionatis, but it was a refreshing sight after the countless buildings she had seen everyday. The time when she had gone home, it was for her mother, and her love of the forest back there. If only she can live with her mother now, inside the treehouse with the syphony of the forest lulling her to sleep.

Something clicked in her mind.

"That's it!"

She ran downstairs, looking for the Guildmaster. Excited.

"Sir John! Will you let me turn one of the tree outside into a treehouse?"

“That may not be to bad of an idea Huj.” Dura smiled. “The three in a group, should work out perfectly. Though I do have concerns if something does happen and there’s injuries. I wouldn’t be able to get to them. Maybe the apothecary and I should be within reach of half the groups as we search. Us three. And another group I can reach where ever we search and her with in access to the other search parties.” The orc has remembered over hearing O’Reilly’s introduction to Doe. She felt ecstatic about another healer in the guild. It was perfect! They could share the load of injuries and in Quests like this search and rescue any injuries found could be patched up quickly since there’s two to cover more ground. The rice smiled happily. “Though we will have to see what our leader John thinks after all?” She looked over at him, seeing the centaur and hearing his question.

It made her smile. It seemed like a question a child would ask, like those in her home town. It did provoke thought. Dura herself did not see the stars last night. She was getting to know her new roommate Illaira and catching up with Huj. All while trying to get a closer look at their weaponry. She was thwarted again but soon. Soon. She would get her look. Her eyes looked always and caught sight of Oliver as well. She wondered what he thought of the suggestions from her and the others. Dura looked back at her roommates and the guild leader. What ever was decided. hopefully it would be soon they could start searching for the lost girl.

"Thought you said you wanted to meet new people, knife ears...maybe ya oughta bond with some of us fellas for a change." Oliver said, as he glanced over from where he was. Oliver meet eyes with the orc, and a smirk crawled onto his face.
"Of course.... if the ladies want, I wouldn't mind having one or two of your pretty faces along to keep me company."
Oliver flipped the knife he was holding in one of his hands up into the air, putting a bit of a spin to it as he did, before gracefully catching it in the other hand and then letting that arm drop.
Oliver shot a wink in the direction of Dura and Illiara, putting on a bit of a charming smile in the process.
"*Chuckles* But I'm fine with whatever...long as the jobs done and I'm not dead...and the little girl is safe, of course...I'm willing to put up with just about anything...just about anything."
Oliver looked back over to John, gesturing his knife at him as he spoke.
"Your call, boss. Just say the word and it's done."

"H-Huh?!" John was caught off-guard by that question. "U-Umm... I mean, may I know first why you want to build a treehouse outside the guild?" The guild leader asked, not wanting to rush into a decision. "Are the quarters we have not enough or not to your liking or something?"

"The boat's ready, F-- John." A gruff male voice called for the guild leader. A man approached the group wearing pelt and fur armor with a decorated helmet. He appeared to be more of a warrior rather than a seaman. "Had to bring out the big one since there's ten of you and me. We're going to Shardlepuff first right? Then to Dracoviran if need be?"

"Yes. Good job, Ragnar." John replied to the guild's sailor. Turning back to the guild, John thought that their idea of splitting up to cover more ground was a splendid plan. "Great idea, guys. We should split up in our search to cover the area quickly. Shnardlepuff's not that big of an island so we could do a clean sweep of the entire island. We could do two sweeps though just in case. If we still haven't found Hera then, then we'll head into Dracoviran territory." John explained the plan. "Don't forget to ask any locals about a vampire child too. They might know something about it."

"Alright, if there are no more questions, let's get aboard our ship." John said as he made his way to the guild's transport. "We can talk about our teams on the way. Come on, Wolves!"

Ragnar waited for everyone to board the boat before he himself embarked and began sailing to Shnardlepuff. It was going to be a long trip to the island so there would be enough time for the Wolf Guild members to plan out their teams.

As the members gathered Cassiel noted some familiar faces banding together. He mulled it over for a moment finding that he too was drawn to the company of his own kin, though what an orc, a harpy and an half-elf had in common was beyond him. With that in mind he took a few steps toward Claire and dipped into a slight bow in way of greeting before projecting a keen interest in the satchel she'd been adjusting. Wondering what burden's she had allowed to weigh on her during this journey.

From nearby a completely unexpected comment reached his ears, regarding last nights stars. More surprised than anything Cass shook his head,
“I was otherwise engaged.” Fondly he recalled the leather bound tomes scavenged from the small library. Perhaps it would have been customary to ask Doe's permission first? Well, he did have the best intentions of returning and even adding to them at the first possible opportunity. “Did they provide you with any guidance?” he asked the Centaur who easily towered even his own tall from.

John spoke, agreeing to some of the ideas while giving instructions of his own. The man struck an impressive figure though secretly Cassiel wondered how much those who favored heavy armor dreaded the sea and its insatiable appetite. Making his way onto one of the boats he noted,
“I'm no healer, though my talents should prove useful in preventing the need for one.” Those paying close attention might have noted a moment when his skin began to softly glow as if reflecting the early morning sun, making the dark designs woven along his arms appear alive and possessed of an independent will.

Dura chuckled at Oliver's comment but didn't get the chance to banter back. The guild was whisked down to the boat and she caught a look at this Ragnar as they boarded. It was nice to have a vessel at the ready so quickly. Ragnar must be one hell of a sailor, or just really prepared. She grinned and leaned back on the boat. “So how big should our search teams be?” She said to those assumed to be around her.
