Ellen put her hand up " I'll do it, everyone else get an attack ready " She looked at the rest of the group , and nodded to them hoping she would be supported in her idea " with your combined intelligence you can be prepared for everything ready , besides if I were to die England has island and it won't die out like if anyone else was to do this "

"No, absolutely not - it's too risky."  Arthur had only just met his sister, or, rather, remembered having met her, but the thought of losing part of his family was unthinkable, even Scotland or the Irelands.  But, really, it was like with the former colonies - Mathew, Alfred, Jett (1), all of them and the rest - or, really, younger siblings, in a sense.  While he hadn't known Ellen for as long as he had them, it was still very much the same; he didn't want to see his little sister in danger, and he'd do what he could to keep her safe.

"At least, you're not going alone.  I'll come with you, and Kiku, Natalie, and Maria can take care of the ambush.  We'll be more evenly split that way, and stand a better chance in pairs or groups."

(1) - 'Jett' is one of the suggested names for Australia.

Kiku nodded.

"Would you rather risk your life and country england? I know what im doing and i know the risks" Ellen said looking over at him slightly confused as to why he would risk so much to do one small thing. As a small island controlled by England she knows that if she was to fall that her island wound not go down with her , but england is stronger and bigger then her. If he was to fall the united kingdom would fall to ruins leaveing all in it unprotected and at risk.

"Because," Arthur pointed out, growing exaasperated, "Whitney's entire tactic so far has been singling us out and going after us when we're away from the others!  If we plan this properly and keep in at least small groups, we stand a good chance at capturing him.  But if you go alone and even the slightest thing goes amiss, you're as good as dead without someone to have your back."

But despite his reasoning, the note of desperation in the Brit's voice had been growing as he spoke; first it had been Josh who'd seemed in danger, then Alfred, now Ellen, and all in hardly a day's time.

"Because I don't want to lose my sister, alright?"

Maria was standing off to the side, watching the exchange between the two siblings with a nervous gleam in her deep brown eyes. While her country was well known for its many dramas, she doesn't really know how to deal with situations like this in real life, ironically enough. The last time she involved herself with something like this was when she... nevermind.

"I could accompany her." The words flowed out of her mouth before her mind could even process them. She almost immediately regretted it, but she couldn't quite bring herself to. All she could do right now was hope that it wouldn't end up like last time. "That is, if you think I'm good enough for the task, Arthur." She added, knowing how important this was to the older, yet somehow younger, personification.

@Edlen

Arthur hesitated, deliberatng.  He trusted hismelf more than ofhters, and the same went for keeping his sister safe; he was wary about giving the task to somebody else.  And what if something went wrong and he could have stopped it, but wasn't there?  But the group needed desperately to capture Whitney before he got to the others at camp or the nations still missing, and if he let family quarrels get in the way of that ad cost them time, he'd only be putting everyone at more risk.

And if he was going to have to entrust this to anyone, at least Maria had made it clear back at camp that she thought family was important, so Arthur didn't doubt she realized how much this mattered to him, and the warrior-like persona that had come over her then seemed capable of keeping Ellen from harm if they did get themselves into danger.

"Fine.  Just... be careful."

"If that's settled, then we should start a fire. The smoke, sound, and light will attract him."

Gilbert limped over to Arthur. He whispered to him;

"If anything goes wrong, I'll go in there for Ellen..."

Arthur gave the other nation a small smile.  "Thanks, Gilbert.  We both will."

"Good idea," he agreed, no longer whisperinng.  "If Maria and Ellen stay by the fire, Whitney'll think they're the only ones around.  Then as soon as he confronts them, we can all work to capture him."

As he began to gather a bundle of sticks, he pointed to a slightly more open space nearby.  Not quite a clearing, but still, thre trees were fewer there.  "If we build the fire more in the open, he'll have less chance of hiding in the foilage," Arthur suggested.

Ellen nodded and quickly started to set up some sticks and rocks sorrounding them for a fire pit. She sat down and looked for some flint to strike to start a fire or some sparks on to some dried leaves or sticks.

Maria sat down next to the younger nation and watched in mild amusement at her futile attempts at finding some flint to light the fire with. "Do you need any help?" She asked Ellen, giving her a questioning gaze as she motioned to the pile in front of them, a slight smile upon her lips.

Ellen nodded and looked over at the older nation "Sure im looking for some flint" she said going back to the pile of rocks beside here keeping an ear and eye out for Whitney .

Maria nodded sharply, her deep brown eyes scanning her surroundings for not only flint, but for any sign of Whitney lurking about, her hands lightly grasping the hilt of one of her ginunting swords. Fortunately, the personification was nowhere in sight, much to her eternal relief since she wasn't sure how she would fair against the man. especially while she was protecting someone, but there was some flint she found by the bushes nearby. The old personification stood up and approached the bushes, kneeling down to grab the piece of chert. "Will this do?" She asked, tossing it over to Ellen with relative ease.

"This is perfect!" Ellen said happily and began to strike it on a small peice of flint she had found a few minuets ago. A few sparks appeared every now and then untill the dried leaves caught a few sparks and a small fire had started. Ellen put the stones down beside her and kept a close eye on it to make sure that it didnt go out.

As the fire flared up, Arthur gestured for Kiku, Natalie, and Gilbert to follow him as he stepped out of the firelight and into the shadows of the jungle  Whitney could be half a mile across the island and he'd still smell the smoke, and if he was nearer, the flicker of light and sounds of chatter would alert him as well.  He'd come - Arthur was sure of it - and since they didn't know how close he was, it was best to hide as soon as possible.

Now all they had to do was wait.

[Natalie]

Without much of a response Natalie followed behind him and backed into the shadows herself. It really was a bad time to have lost her knives but she could of improvise if push came to shove. Now all they had to do was wait until he brought himself to them. She didn't think he would spot the four of them despite their choice of hiding places weren't the best necessarily. Wouldn't matter though since he would probably be more focused on the two women and not pay much else any mind. She sighed internally while trying to predict what Whitney would do. The man seemed too unpredictable to figure however. It really appeared that they would just have to wait and see.

Whitney Zarrof

It had been a few days since I was injured.

I healed quickly.

The smell of smoke filled the area.

I neared it, staying within foliage, to see two nations huddled by it.

They had a camp, what were they doing here.

It was strange.

He notice movement.

It was a trap.

He left, heading towards their cave.

Hiding in a bush, he looked inside.

A drowsy American.

An injured Italian.

And a sadness-crippled Italian.

Easy pickings.

Alfred stiffened hearing a rustling noise. He herded the two int the cave, dousing the fire and standing ready with a combat knife. "stay quiet.." he whispered.

Whitney cursed under his breath....

They had heard him.

He only needed one, and the more stay alive the better.

How to go about this....

The Italian, still standing, was my best bet.

He crouched behind a rock, and took a small rock, and a twig.

He slid a few times, until the twig lit on fire.

He slid across the wall, holding a large branch, the tip burning.

He used the almost gone twig to set more of the branch on fire.

He almost coughed from the amount of smoke, his skin hurting from the heat.

he tossed the branch into the enclosed space, the room filling up with smoke.

Even his eyes were watering and he was outside.

He rubbed his face and lifted the tranquilizer.

He fired every dart inside.

He heard the clatter of a knife hitting the ground.

The Italian was still up.

He'd take the American instead....

(cont.)

After crawling into the cave, staying low to avoid smoke, I dragged the American out.

The smoke was starting to clear, so I dragged him behind my rock, and used vines to bind his ankles & wrists.

I eventually got him to a nearby cave entrance.

I clawed away at a rock.

I type into the keypad.

I dragged him into an empty room, left him inside.

I locked the metal door with a code,

and went into an adjacent room, watching the camera monitor, waiting for him to get up.

"Tch!" Maria clicked her tongue, narrowing her deep brown eyes when she saw Whitney's figure disappear back into the foliage, slight irritation evident within them. "He saw right through us!" She muttered under her breath as Rajah began to shine through. However, she managed to keep that side of her under wraps, to be used as a trump card when the time comes, if the island's personification didn't know about it in the first place. "He's probably heading to the camp." She surmised, looking towards the direction of said camp with a worried gaze.

When out of nowhere, a smoking branch landed with a thud on the cave floor, Feliciano jerked back in surprise, quickly leaping to his feet.

"Huh?"

But then, as the smoke started to fill the smal space, he lept into action, quickly pullling Romeo out inot the open while trying to slow the suddenly hurried beating of his own heart.  "Alfred?" he called out to the other nation through the haze.  "Alfred, where are you?  Say something!"  But all that greeted him was silence, and a moment later, as the smoke cleared, he realized Alfred had vanished.  Whitney?  That was the only explanation Feliciano could think of.

He glanced around, immediately noticing the trail the two had left.  Walking away from camp didn't leave much to indicate the path taken, but being dragged - which he guessed Alfred had been - crushed grasses and plants and left marks in the dirt near the caves.  Where had he taken Alfred?  And why?  As the question piled up in his mind, Feliciano considered following them.  But a glance down at Romeo and the recollection that he wasn't armed quickly made him decide against it.  He couldn't stop Whitney, not by himself, and what if Whitney came back while he was gone for his brother?  He still couldn't let Alfred get hurt, though, so Felicano settled for a compromise.  He half-pulled, half-carried Romeo into the cave where he and Ellen had sat before, taking a moment to check his brother's pulse and make sure he seemed alright.

"I'll be back soon, okay?"  Even though he was unconcious, Feliciano still felt like something needed to be said.  "I will.  I promise."  And then he rushed off in the direction the search party had gone to tell them what had happened.  Soon, when he was began to think he was near them, he started calling out, panic clear in his voice.

"Kiku!  Gilbert!  Hello?  Anyone!"

(By the way, since Canada and India seem to have disappeared, I'm assuming Italy's alone right now.  Not sure where they've gone, though... xD  )

England

Arthur let out a string of angry swears as the group all came out of hiding, brows drawn together and face flushed red in rage.  "I can't believe it!  We had a foolproof plan... How'd he know it was a trap?  We couldn't be that easy to spot!"

But then Maria's next words hit, and his rant fell instantly short.  Josh, Alana, and Alfred were all back there, completely unaware that danger was coming their way, and the Italian brothers as well.  "We've got to stop him before he reaches the others.  Now!"  And with that he took off running in the direction of camp, dodging branches and tree roots, but not slowing his pace.
