Thomas nodded, "Didn't help that the King didn't do much to please the colonies. He just kinda let it happen."
(What? She didn't expect him to moan)
"Yeah, he was kinda just okay with watching it happen." Angelica laughed. "I mean... okay, is it just me, or is the Declaration of Independence just one really elaborate breakup letter?"
(I already replied to it...)
Alexander blushed as well. "Oh god, Eliza, you do you do this to me?"
(Whoops)
"I didn't mean to." she said, embarrassed.
"No, no," Alexander whispered. "It's good. I love it."
She smiled widely and kissed his neck again and scooted forward in his lap.
Alexander let out a long groan, his head tilting back and his cheeks flushing. "Oh god, Eliza..." Alexander whispered.
She blushed and got off of him when everyone looked at them.
Alexander panted heavily for a moment before regaining his composure. "Jesus Eliza," Alexander whispered. "You're fantastic."
She blushed bright pink. "Thanks."
Alexander took her hand tightly.
She smiled and kissed him.
"Yeah, he was kinda just okay with watching it happen." Angelica laughed. "I mean... okay, is it just me, or is the Declaration of Independence just one really elaborate breakup letter?"
(I already replied to it...)
"Pretty much yea. Hell, it got the point across though. I've always been a big fan of the Battle of Yorktown, I think it just has something to do how it ended the war." Thomas shrugged, "Or the French."
Alexander kissed her back passionately.
She smiled and laid her head on his shoulder.
Alexander pulled out his trumpet and started warming up, away from Eliza's head so he wouldn't be playing in her ear.
Eliza started practicing her flute again but was still really embarrassed about her skill level.
Alexander could have been in a professional band. He was really really great. He did spend a lot of time practicing.
Eliza was shocked at how good he was, and it made her feel worse about herself. She knew she shouldn't compare but she just felt overshadowed, especially at home because Angelica was the oldest and Peggy was the baby. She just felt forgotten.
Alexander kept playing, happy in his music. His usually quite tired and focused expression softened into a content, happy, almost dreamy look. He loved music.
She just watched him play and smiled a little at his expression. He just looked so happy.
Alexander stopped at the end of the song and smiled. The concentrated look came back and he rubbed his hands together.
She kissed his cheek. "You looked so happy."
Alexander smiled at her. "Music's gotten me through a lot." He replied ambiguously.
