Fandom Fate/Drifters ooc

I doubt that QuirkyAngel QuirkyAngel thought that far ahead.
I'm just imagining these two cosmic babies appearing on the scene and wanting to do a Grail War for the sake of determining mankind's future but--oh, what's this, their arrival woke up Type-Mercury and now he is eating their very existence and beginning to systematically destroy the entirety of mankind.

Heya. I'm interested. If possible, I'm interested in playing Caster.

@goddammit you damn birb, you just won't let me quit rpn, will you???

Where did they come from? Why are they dipping their fingers in Gaian affairs? Doesn't the planet have anything to say about this? Why aren't any of the Ultimate Ones eating them? So many questions about this.

The universe. They are clearly beyond planet lvl if they can reset the world. I imagine they've always been there as "caretakers". No idea what Gaia's doing.

Yeah, this is very strange, at least by Nasuverse standards. Why do they care about humanity's suffering, and not Gaia's, when Gaia is far more of a relatable existence to them? This scenario is like a human ignoring a suffering puppy to instead help the bacteria that are killing said puppy, but then again, they are alien existences, so why am I to question this.

You'll have to ask the caretaker of darkness IC if you want to find the answers.

What kind of existence is he that I am to ask it of him? Do the caretakers simply conform to the thought foundation of humanity, despite being cosmic entites? If so, then why? Do they come from the Root, or are they the remnants of an alien civilization that ascended and wants humanity to do the same, and if so, then why?

Why solve an issue like this with an event so grandiosely subjective and seemingly arbitrary as a Holy Grail War?

I don't trust either of these fuckers. This situation has too many question marks over it.

I blame Zelretch. Let's be honest, this is probably Zelretch's fault. Until you give me a concrete answer, I'll assume this is all because Zelretch did something or fucked up something and now the Root is collapsing in on itself.

Am I really uncaught up with nasuverse or is this something with the rp?

QuirkyAngel QuirkyAngel mind adding me to the table thingy? thx

This RP has two caretakers who are cosmic entities (GM's word says they are stronger than the World [Gaia+Alaya combined]) who decided to throw this Grail War as a way of deciding whether or not to restart the universe, because humanity's suffering is bothering one of them or something.

Which goddamn magus made this fuckup??? Was it one of the true ancestors??? It was one of them, wasn't it?

True Ancestors are too weak for this. These caretaker guys seem stronger than Ultimate Ones, so I'd wager Zelretch dipped his fugly multiversal fingers in this and just summoned these two guys who used to be anime protagonists from another universe and gave them Root access on accident, so now not only do they have Infinite Prana (or the equivalent mystical energy,) plus True Magic (or the equivalent mystical energy,) but their Reality Consensus is stronger than the World's and they can actually get away with doing something like this without Gaia deleting them for existing.

The whole thing doesn't make too much sense, since said caretakers would need to be absurdly op...

But I can't talk since I tried to blow the whole world up with a writhing mass of tentacles multiple times.

damn it I have so many weird servant ideas in my head... Hounds of Tindalos as Rider... :3

Oh my gosh, people! The GM doesn't have this kinda knowledge so stop thinking about it so much! Stop trying to fit it into what you know and just go with it! :angryopenfrown:

Seriously though you guys are just going to confuse Quirky.

To be fair, Outer Gods are canon in Fate at this point, because Nasu apparently discovered that Lovecraft's writing was too tasty to pass up on. But yeah, these caretaker guys seem pretty absurd, and when the word absurd comes to mind, I think Zelretch. This is 105% Zelretch's fault, somehow.

I'll stand by my headcanon that Zelretch did this.

Thats the whole point. Give gm a brain meltdown, then take over.

You make resetting the world sound like a bad thing. Sometimes, when playing a losing game, you've got to push the reset button to win^^

Yeah. Do it ORT style, and prove to the human plebeians that Type-Mercury isn't a push-over.

Come to think of it, you're right.

The entire moral lesson of Fate/Zero is that suffering and pain are an inherent element of the human condition and that the only way to get rid of them are to remove the human condition (read: humanity,) from this world.

So. I'm just going to go ahead and assume that the Caretakers don't exist and this is actually Angra Mainyu Angry Matthew in disguise, trying to clandestinely manipulate magi into destroying the world again.

What a dickwad. One Excaliblast wasn't enough to teach him not to destroy mankind? Can someone summon Saber so we can deal with this ahead of time, please?

Oooh, Saber.*Fantasizes over making her submit* Oh my gosh, stop it Gil. Anyway, didn't it take two Excaliblasts in canon. You definitely should have said two. Saaberrrr. STOP!

lmao xD

Just focus on the war. The stuff behind the scenes...well, it'll depend on the direction of the plot. And what the characters want to do.

Table is updated...I think. I lost notifications for a while, so I may have forgotten somebody's claims.

Your help is appreciated as always.

Oh, that's true. He got the first one back in Fate/Zero, and then, depending on the route, he gets a second one.

Actually it's in all of the routes. It's just that Shirou does it instead of Saber in Heaven's feel.
