You would have a point, if the visual novel was the usual form of contact with that fandom. Plus it wasn't a random detail you mentioned, you spoiled the ending.

Yes, to a certain degree. I generally look at completed character sheets first (generally accepting them because I'm not that picky =P), but if I know a reservation has been made for that spot, I will wait for both player to complete their character sheets before making the final decision.

If caster is gone by the time I'm back to the comfort of a dark, shady room, I'll play a master. I'll be honest though, playing a servant is much more fun than a master as Servants are (mostly) the one doing flashy stuff and murdering crap.
