Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

Kyuma ran towards Sanja, smiling out of excitement and a sense of accomplishment. Just as he got close to her, the glow of his gauntlet faded, and he fell towards her, as the balance breaker declared "Reset"

"Aw, crap. I'm tired..." he said in a barely conscious voice as he fell.

@Sleipnir

Sanja immediately jerked forward to catch Kyuma. She held him up, walking through the portal.

Piper had a wide grin on her face as she stepped through in front of Greyston. "You look better," she greeted. "Shouldn't you be resting, though?"

Bael paused, then looked up at Wednesday. Have you got no answer?" He asked, frowning slightly.

"I...didnt realize I put so much of my strength into that one shot. If I'd missed, I would have been screwed. Sorry you have to help me like this Sanja. I'm sure you're pretty worn out to, after all of that..." Kyuma said, trying to stay on his feet, though he was pretty much past the point of running on fumes.

Ethan simply walked through the portal with the rest. When he arrived at the Department he simply walked past the rest. He did not expect any thanks or signs of gratitude. He always considered himself a shadow. One knew about the fact that he was there but didn't think much about it. Ethan was using his ''stick'' to walk, looking like your average blind guy as he slowly walked towards the exit. He eventually reached a door and was about to exit the room.

"Well, I died, and he moved on. It was ten years ago, you know? Can't expect a guy to grieve forever." Wednesday said, with a bit of a sigh. She didn't sound as though she cared all that much anymore, but in truth she did miss him- he had been her best friend for years. She had seen his new wife and family before she headed out towards DC, but honestly that part didn't bother her. It's not as though he'd marry her ghost- or her zombie. Wednesdy focused on cleaning the lamp and didn't look at Bael.

Greyston smiled at the others, and glanced to the man walking away. He looked at Piper, clearly indicating that if the blind guy was useful she should offer a consulting position.

Piper turned to Ethan. "Greyston, this is Agent Adams. He's with the police. He did a great deal to help us out."

Sanja smiled. "Tired, yeah, but that's just part of the job, you know? And so is helping our teammates out." She stepped through the portal herself.

Shylock walked out behind her, offering help with carrying Kyuma. "Have you got him?"

Sanja nodded. "Yeah. I think so."

Bael shrugged and nodded. "Suppose so," he replied.

Jefferson was unsure what to do when the beast's attacks ended, and Karnak died in a flurry of green blood and horrible smell. It was over. Detroit was safe, and more importantly the world. And Jess, his lovely wife, who was probably waiting for him back home. The Deparment agents departed through a portal before he could catch them. With a sigh of relief, he gave in to a smile, as he walked alone through the land of chaos. Finding the entry portal, Jeff went home. Home sweet home. He reunited with his wife, and rested asure knowing that Earth was safe in the hands of the Deparment. Pulling himself closer, to the computer, he started typing:

Greyston, it's me. Your friendly neighbourhood phoenix...I just want to thank you and your team, for saving my city, and for reminding me what I'm fighting for..It was a hell of a battle. Your team is a real tough nut to crack. I just want you to know, that my branch will always remain indebt. If you ever need anything, give me a call. Take care of yourself, old friend. Don't let the sun end you just yet. :) '' he said as he closed his laptop and went to make himself a cup of coffee. @Hel

Justin came with the others and he was tired as hell. The sigils and the fresh bubbles did their work, but they drained him of most of his strength. Sleep is what he needed now. He briefly wondered how William and Lily done on their case. Surely it wasn't as bad as a interdimensional father of plagues alien, but surely theirs was a hard one too. No matter, tho. William would surely tell him the details in the morning.

Giving a sigh of relief, the Kraken stepped back. ''We should take him to the HQ. Let Greyston decide what's with him'' he said formatting his suit. ''Well done both of you. If it weren't for you, I would probably be dead. So.....thank you'' he said giving a true smile for the first time in his life. ''Come on. Let's get Superman back'' @Hel @Kylesar1

Meanwhile, two masked figures watched what was on the news. ''Interestiiiiing'' Vortigas muttered.. @BookWyrm

Allan puffed his cigarette and exhaled. "We're a team. If either of us had fought alone, we'd die." he said. He snapped his fingers, and all the animals he summoned disappeared.

"Earth style: Grizzly Bear." A magic circle appeared on the ground, and out rose a ferocious grizzly bear. It's roar shook the very ground they stood on. It's strength doubled under Earth-Style. "Haul this luggage out of here." Allan commanded.

The bear picked him up and started to walk towards the exit on hind legs, carrying him fireman style back towards the department.

Carnifex shrugged his shoulders. "Well, at least we know what not to do." Else where, "father" sat in a secret chamber, watching the two hollows. "They are truly extraordinary. They are fully functional, and yet they aren't even at ten percent of what they could be. Yet they have still proven to be worth the expense." Another figure was in the room, also watching the two masked beings. "You must remember, they are just the prototypes. Our plans are to only have to make those two." Father turned to look at the figure. "I thought they had planned on making other protoforms?" "Yes, but only if the first two failed. And it is as you said before, they are fully operational even at such an unimpressive state. If they were at full capacity we might have need to put them under. They were not designed with the attitude adjustment functions you know."

Father waved his hand. "I know I know. The true bloodline will though. By the way, what is the deadline for the first born?" The other man scratched at his scruff. "We do not yet have a deadline. We are still trying to work on the application of the paleblood, but once we have it progress will be made. These true bloods will not be artificial like those Hollows. They will have their full potential from birth. And that scares the Master." Father chuckled slightly. "It should scare him. He is clueless as to what his one idea has turned into. The man is a source of money, but I put in the true work. Those Hollows are mine, this operation is mine. The Order, is mine.....or at least, it will be."

@Elias

Greyston nodded, then called to the blind man, "Say, if you wish to leave your number, we may call you to help out on other cases, If you'd like, of course. Piper said you were rather helpful." He said.

Liliana stayed quiet and headed back to the department with the others, looking forward to a good nights sleep. When they got there, she asked Alen if he could handle putting Victor in his cell and headed upstairs. Greyston nodded to the trio as they entered, and said he was glad to see them all back safely, almost like a worried father.

(Gonna do a time skip to the next day here soon, just a warning.)

''Sure. If I have time , I'll help you'' said Ethan as he gave Greyston a piece of paper with his number on it which was coincidently and conveniently prepared beforehand. ''You know, we are pretty similar vampire, you and I. We fight day and night for something, but no matter what happens...darkness still remains our light'' he added, before he went out of the room. Some people might have understood him and some might have not, but Corin Greyston surely understood him.

@Hel

'Part of the job, huh...' Kyuma thought, as he tried to remain conscious. He slipped in and out consistently for a while, but managed to stay awake. He looked up at Sanja, and nodded. "I guess you're right."

At the department, Allan led the bear to the suspect's designated cell, and the bear tossed the unconscious suspect into it. These cells were far unlike others. They were used to seal the most dangerous of DDAMPSEA criminals and ancient beasts

Allan yawned when Corin spoke. "Yea, yea." he replied. "That guy put up quite a fight. We'd have all been killed in a 1v1."

He walked out, and to the bar, and ordered a drink.

Sanja nodded back to Kyuma was a smile. "Can you stand?" She asked.

Piper frowned, watching Ethan go. Perhaps there was some truth to what he said, but that was a strange comment to make to a perfect stranger to say the least. She went up to Hreyston and sighed heavily. "Big day, wasn't it? How are things here?"

Shylock leaned against the wall. He, unlike the others, was not terribly tired but he could understand why they would be. All he wanted now was a good shower, honestly. It was hard to feel clean after that nasty pit they fought in. He looked over to see a big white dog trotting through the doors before shifting to a human. He wrote him off as a shifter and looked around, wondering where he could get that shower.

Greyson had nodded at Ethan, and told Alan where to put Victor away. He smiled at Allan's assessment, to him that was half of the fun to the job! Piper asked how things were and his laugh fell away.

"Things were fairly slow here, though we already have another set of cases to look into. Until then, you should all get some sleep." Greyston sai to the others. Shylock had helped, so he thought to offer a room to him for the night, and then did so. "If you follow me I'll show you where you can stay." He said.

Liliana an Alex were already to their respective rooms and out for the night.

Wednesday told Bael that she should probably head off, Caden was still waiting outside, after all.

Melody was floating around in its own right doing whatever it was that it did when it was bored.

Tuesday-12:30 [The next Day]

The next day Greyston headed downstairs early, as usual, and started the office coffee brewing before heading up to the Cafeteria for a tall glass of blood.

Liliana decided to get breakfast herself, then headed out to work on a small case by herself. It shouldn't be too much of an issue, as it just looked like a
rogue werewolf killing lovestruck teenagers in a local park. She did what she could not to kill it, but the beast would not be subdued. She was back and set up for an afternoon of paperwork by noon.

Greyston had gone back to his office and read through his emails before getting a really exciting one. Once everyone was back, he gathered them in a meeting room and looked them over.

"So, I received an email earlier today that concerned you all and your recent behavior. Particularly yours, Piper, with that rotten interview you gave..." Greyston said. His expression was terribly serious, as though they were all about to get a harsh scolding.

Alexander was there, too, towards the back of the room. He sunk down in his seat, certain that they would be in some major trouble, though he wasn't certain why. They had saved three major cities lately from world ending events, but... two of those cities had been pretty damaged in the process. He sighed, and glanced around at the others in the room.

Liliana maintained her perfect posture, meeting Greyston's critiquing look with a cold, harsh one of her own. She was ready to defend any and all of her actions, should they be blatantly challenged as Piper's had been.

Piper shook her head. "I have a hard time believing that was even me," she told Greyston. "Seriously, they went as far as editing my voice. It doesn't even sound like me," she added with a slight scowl.

Galleytrot, though uninvited was also present. He listened carefully, ten leaned forward. "Forget the interview. Bad people and bad luck. What else?"

Things were looking up in Detroit. That being said, Fred figured it was about time to head back home. She took up her things and bid everyone farewell before catching a flight back to DC. Like the flight to Detroit the trip home seemed to go by just as quickly and before she knew it she was in a cab back to her shop to freshen up, collect Bartholomew, and a few personal effects.

She payed her cab fair before making her way into the shop. "Barty I'm home." She calls aloud before being bum rushed and nearly brought to the floor by him leaping up at her chest. "About time." he purrs contently relaxing into her embrace. After a momemt she places him on the countertop and sets about gathering her personal effects.

Ronan had been out for the day, mostly waiting for his package to arrive, but nonetheless he still wanted to check out the shop he had went to earlier. Noticing a light on this time, Ronan tugged on the door. It opened, and figuring it was a good sign, opened it the rest of the way and walked in.

"Hello?", he finally called after a moment.

@OriginalDaydreamer

Hearing the bell and the voice that followed it Fred, ceased packing for a moment and after checking herself out in the mirror, ventured down the stairs to greet her customer.

"Welcom to The Cantrip. How can I help you?" She says as she moves behind the counter and takes a closer look at the man that just walked in.

@BookWyrm

William looked down at the plate of mashed potatoes with pork steak and wine that he was having and sighed heavily. What a day, yesterday was. 'Superman' put up quite a fight and he was sure if any of them would have gone 1v1 they wouldn't have a chance. Well, at least he got a look at the famous power and cunning of the superhumans. Finishing his meal, he sipped on his wine. ''What now'' he wondered to himself as he heard Greyston's words from the meeting. He was aware what that shitbag reporter had done with Piper's words and he didn't like it. They basically made the Deparment look bad on TV, and they offended Pip in a nonchalantly way. Humans. Little bags of lies and manipulation. Relaxing back, he briefly wondered where Melody was, so he got up and started looking for it. Little did he know, that a man from his near past was here. (Buwan..wink wink). He would get briefed on the meeting anyway. He wasn't a big fan of words...

Justin watched Greyston's glare, as he sat next to Alex. ''What the hell have we done this time'' he muttered non-audibly, then glanced towards Alex, who seemed to be thinking the same thing. J was expecting to hear the worst....

Meanwhile, in the dark corners of the Order's HQ, a masked figure with black hair was pacing around the room. ''I'm bored'' Vortigas declared in the end, as he let himself fall with a loud thump and crack on the stone floor. Watching his taller, 'elder brother' he briefly wondered how Carnifex felt when he was going feral. Was it exihilarating? Blood-clenching? Did he get bursts of violence when he entered his carnagial form? Those were interesting questions, yet their answers would have to wait for another time. With a loud sigh, he got up and looked over a window, his hollow eyes, searching for anything that would peek his interest. Glancing back towards the other hollow, he made for a question: ''Wanna hunt or something?'' he asked as he glanced back. ''Or at least get out of this wretched hole. I'm sure father would at least let us clear our legs for a bit. Afterall, we're succumbing if we're just standing here doing nothing'' @BookWyrm

"I dunno," Alex mumbled, "But I think we're in trouble."

"Do not leave while I am speaking with you!" Greyston snapped at William. "And don't mumble, either. It makes you sound like disrespectful children. Now, I've been contacted, personally, by the president in regards to recent actions taking by the people in this room- and some others who aren't here. I'll be contacting them later." He said, his tone still scolding.

"Sir, with all re-"

"Don't inturrupt me." Greyston said harshly to Liliana when she tried to speak.

"Yessir." Lilliana replied, bitterly. She didn't understand, had they not just saved the world thrice in the preceding three weeks? Who had a problem with that kind of track record?!

"Now... He has requested our presence at a party that will be thrown in our honor this friday night. Its going to be very nice, cocktail dresses, suits, all of that jazz. I expect each of you to attend. If you do not, then the punishment will be undesirable, I assure you." Greyston said. Despite the friendly words, his tone still sounded as though such a party was a punishment. "Also, he insisted that all who helped with any of the three major incidence: Yog Dagor, the Lich, or this most recent case in Detroit be in attendance, so if you have the ability to contact any who aren't here, then please do so, though he assures me that he has people already on it.

Oh... and Piper? Don't worry about that interview. Reporters are nothing to worry about, especially those kind of reporters." Greyston finished, before heading out of the room. He was still confined to his wheelchair, but hoped that it wouldn't be long now before he could walk again.

Piper stood up with a frown, following Greyston. "Are you sure they meant everyone who helped?" She asked uncertainly. She was unsure how aware the president was that by asking for everyone involved, he was asking for a volatile, angry dead boy eternally stricken with a 17-year-old's moodiness and angst. Bad idea for a cocktail party.

"Trust me, I brought it up, and yeah. The president insisted on everyone. Even the vigilante elf who helped out. He said he would take care of getting ahold of that guy, but if that's the case I have to wonder why he isn't going to be arrested..." Greyston shrugged and sighed. "So, yeah, everyone."

Dante had already set up his 'station' on a chair in front of the DDAMPSEA building. He had no idea if their existence and thought he was the only special person out there. Since he recently moved to the area, he has no clue about any of the monster attacks that had happened. He set a fidora upside down on the ground next to him and grabbed his acoustic guitar. He strummed the cords together once and took a deep breath. He muttered, "Well here goes nothing." He started to cover "Sweater Weather" by The Neighbourhood. His voice smooth and low, he started to enhance the volume of his voice to make it louder and allowing more people to hear his beautiful music. He smiled as he saw a few people walking by, drop in some change or a dollar or two.

((This ok?))
