Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

((This ship gets better, I promise.))

Piper braced herself to attack the tentacles but the air was pushed out of her as something slammed into her side. She fell, caught herself and turned to see Shylock, who was firing off bullets at the tentacle and backing up rapidly. She could see his lips moving, forming the same word over and over.

Sanja pushed herself up, frowning. She looked at the sky: she couldn't see the stars. Or anything out there. She grimaced. She took a deep breath and raised one hand, hoping this wouldn't take too terribly long. She looked over at Jefferson. "Jefferson, can you cover me?" She called.

@Barbas @Elias

((You can tell it's a ship because Bael is not actively trying to kill Wednesday xD ))

"Oh? That sounds... Troublesome." She said, following Bael. "Want some help for a bit? I'm bored and Caden is well fed." She shrugged.

The last of the liquid cleared from Jefferson's eyes, as he stayed patiently behind the rock. He could hear the others fighting, while he was sitting behind the rock, his eyes clearing minute after minute. Eventually, he got up, and transformed again, this time focusing his fire towards his wings and head, so he can spit the fire more rapidly. Nodding to Sanja slightly, he jumped in front of her, and opened his wings menacingly. ''Whatever you want to do, do it now''

@Sleipnir

Bael turned sharply toward Wednesday when she said this, almost squaring up to her altogether. He stood there, frozen like a deer in the headlights for several moments, then finally responded, "...If you want to, I could show you how some of the work is done." He then looked out at the lake again. "I don't find it troublesome, though; I have nothing else to do."

@Hel

Sanja huffed. "I'm trying! I'm not so sure I'll even be able to," she called back to Jefferson, turning to stare up at the sky desperately. She hoped what she was planning could end this, though she couldn't be sure.

Piper glanced at Sanja, shooting down several plague apostles and then turning her attention back to Karnak.

@Elias @Barbas

((I'm gonna roll a die next time to see if this works. What number should I look for? Or should I roll and Barbas roll, and if I get the higher number it works?))

Becoming highly annoyed by how long the battle was taking, Karnak opens his mouth and precedes to breathe out an extremely large swarm of flies in all directions in an attempt to kill the agents.

Shylock founded, ducking under the swarm. He looked around and realized Sanja was doing... Something, and that he, Piper, and some of the others had no abilities that would allow them to wipe out the swarm.

(Went with 3 or higher on a 6-sided die.)

Sanja grinned and brought her arm down forcefully, and then said to Jefferson, "I'm good." She proceeded to create another astral shield as small meteorites began falling from the sky, blazing. "Goodness, I love power of the stars."

Jefferson managed what seemed to be a smirk on his bird face. The astral shield was of a marvelous beauty, and it happened to protect them from the meteorites, that were also falling from Sanja's spell. Lowering his wings, he waited to see what the effect of her spell is going to be. Justin meanwhile managed to tackle under the shield as well, waiting to see how Karnak will react...

@Barbas

Sanja shot a grin at Jefferson before shooting another blast of astral energy at Karnak. She wanted to end this quick: the beast's assault on the Phoenix frightened her, and made it clear that though he was no Lich, Karnak could potentially kill one of them if they weren't careful.

@Barbas

Victor's dash was slowed slightly, by the woman surprising him, kicking out her feet in an attempt to trip him over, of course he did not fall, but stumbled, though to fast to notice. This did remove power from his attack on the summoner, and was likely a key reason to the man still being conscious. What of course did not help, was an unexpected assault from the man who was previously incapacitated, the man charged with great strength slamming into Victor with the hostile intent to choke the life from his very system. The former scientist had to admit, he underestimated his opponent's strength, and it was coming back to haunt him.

Casting a glance to the woman, who would be helping her friend - and ending the fight - very soon, if Victor could not escape, he decided time was of the essence, the summoner was temporarily incapacitated, but not for long. He needed to escape the grip, and take one of his adversaries down - fast. The best course of action seemed simple, the incredibly strong tentacle-man was in a supposed blind rage, likely not thinking. The correct course was to use his strength against him, turn the violent choke into a throw, the superhuman could push himself back, then drop his back to the ground, whilst using his legs to push the aggressor over him and onto the ground. If lucky, he could then dash to the woman's sword - catch her off guard - disarm her, and use said weapon against the duo - or trio. That was his plan. That was what he then attempted to do.

@Kylesar1 @Hel @Elias

(You know what? Galleytrot, ho.)

Suddenly, directly between Victor's feet, a massive white dog leaped out of the ground. He was large enough that Victor certainly could have sat on the canine's back and he wouldn't have even a slight flinch at carrying the man like some small horse. The wasted absolutely no time as he snapped out, attempting to grab the man's ankle in a moment of surprise: One could hardly expect a massive white spaniel to appear out of the floor under them.

@Archangel Galdrael

Upon seeing one of the agents with a glowing gauntlet falling towards him, Karnak opens his mouth and begins to breatheout a large swarm of flies in Kyuma's direction.

'Crap, can't dodge' he thought, as he changed promotions from Rook to Queen. "I'm not really good at this yet, but lets see how this works!" He said as he concentrated a weak ball of energy into his palm. He released it from his grip, and pulled his hand back into a fist. "Explode!" the balance breaker declared as he punched the orb, turning it into a powerful wave of energy that incinerated the flies and continued on its way towards Karnak. "C'mon, hit, please hit!"

Liliana reached for her sword and swung it hard up towards Victor, anticipating his attack before actually seeing it, but was surprised to find nothing there. She looked and saw Galleytrot- the black dog that seemed to linger around the department- snapping at the man's ankles. If Galleytrot didn't help them take this guy down, he was seriously gonna be trouble.

@Archangel Galdrael @Sleipnir @Elias @Kylesar1

Wednesday nodded as Bael described the duties of a Lighthouse keeper. It sounded... terribly boring, but still, for some reason she decided to stick around. "Want some help?" The ghost-girl asked the poltergeist.

Alexander finished fighting the plague apostles and stared up at the shield and the meteors falling from the sky.
Sanja. He thought to himself, nodding in approval. He turned back to Karnak and saw the flirty one attacking him head-on, so he decided to throw his lot in. He began moving around Karnak, preparing to attack from behind if he could get there.

Allan sat up, dazed and still coughing. His head hurt like hell, and it was hard as hell to breathe. He was weezing and holding his chest with a free hand. It took him a minute, but he got himself together.............at least somewhat. The slam was even weaker than he expected. Thank goodness

"Earth style: Dun- Shit!" A big-ass white dog crashed up from the ground. The surprise and his dazed head dropped him back on his butt. He shook his head vigorously, trying to clear things up in there. He smacked himself in the forehead a couple of times. He was losing it. Why?

His cigarette! It dropped when he was slammed. He pulled out another one, and lit it quickly. With the suspect in a deadlock, and the dog jumping out of no-fucking-where, he had plenty of time to get himself together. He puffed his cigarette then exhaled, his head clearing. "OK............ Earth-style: Dung Beetle" A small magic circle appeared and out jumped a small beetle. It landed where Allan pointed, right near Liliana, above her

Earth-style governed powerful strength, and dung beetles were not only the strongest insect, but the strongest animal by size. This doubled their strength, but still was useless against a human. It hopped unto Liliana's body, and powered her up, doubling her strength. She should easily surpass surpass the suspect's strength now.

With 2 holy frogs, and now a dung beetle, he could summon 3 more animals, but no more support animals. Even then though, the battle-field was getting crowded. His biggest asset in battle was supporting his teammates, so all he could do now was wait and prepare for an attack. Summoning more animals could hinder his teammates

@Hel

Bael stared at Wednesday for a moment, biting back the impulse to inform her that his work was not fit for a lady. He recalled suddenly Sanja and Piper, though, and how bizarrely different everything was now. The image of an old friend tugged at his mind: She had been absolutely nothing like Wednesday, but Bael remembered how she had a personality that made him wonder if the lines between feminine work and masculine work were founded.

He looked away suddenly, then looked back at Wednesday. "Yes. I think so," he finally replied.

@Hel

Sanja watched her friend and leaped upon Sundial, charging Karnak and releasing another pulse of astral energy to clear some of the flies. Her aim was not actually to attack: rather, she was trying to distract.

@Barbas

Afte being heavily damaged by the attacks, Karnak turns his attention to the incoming energy attack.

Justin smirked watching the beast cope left and right. It was getting angry, or annoyed, rather. So many attacks coming from so many directions... Surely, Karnak wished the battle to be over, the agents dead, so he could return to making plagues. Well, luckily, he won't get that chance, if they keep it up. With repeated attacks from himself (Justin), Alex, Sanja and however else was fighting, the fight would surely end soon, either with the Department winning, or the beast getting angrier and eventually stomping them all, under a flurry of apostles, corossive liquid and tentacles. Many, many tentacles. Why did the old lovecraftian gods always have to have tentacles?

Flying, Justin kept flying around keeping the flies away, and ocasionally, the apostles, while also providing supporting sigils when he could.

Jefferson kept flying around, shooting intense heat at the beast...

@Archangel Galdrael @Kylesar1

Liliana saw what was happening now, and moved towards Victor. She skirted around the outside and tried to avoid Gallytrot. Then, once she saw her opening she lunged toward him, bringing her sword down hilt first aiming to knock the guy out with a strike to the base of his skull. Of course, if her blow landed too hard she risked killing the man, or giving him a major concussion, but hopefully his superhuman abilities would keep that from happening.

@Archangel Galdrael @Elias @Kylesar1

Alexander lunged in from behind during the final moments of the battle with Karnack, his swords both striking deep in either side of the plague monster, causing both locations to burn with hell fire or holy fire, respectively. He quickly pulled them back, however, and lurched away for fear of getting struck by Kyuma's energy attack.

@Sleipnir @Kalin Scarlet @Barbas @Elias @Whoeverelseishere

Wednesday smiled a bit at Bael, and proceeded to find something with which she could help Bael clean off the lantern. She hummed a little song to herself, one that had been stuck in her head on and off all throughout her after-life. It was meant to be the song that she would dance with her husband to for the ceremonial first dance at her wedding, and had been playing in her husbands room on the other side of the bathroom wall the night she was murdered.

@Sleipnir

Greyston spent some time assigning tasks back and forth to his more capable agents, and when the healers came to work on him, he complied easily. Now, however, Greyston checked his email and received a very interesting invitation.

Bael tossed Wednesday a cloth. "You'll wiping down that side of the glass. Shouldn't be hard; I do this every single day... Not much to clean off," He told her. He turned to checking on the wick, glancing up at Wednesday once and then asking, "So — what happened to the man who gave you the ice? I'm guessing you never got around to stepping off the carpet."

@Hel

Piper put her gun at her side then yelled, "Karnak — we can end the fight. Leave Earth alone and we will go home and never return. Attack us again, though, and believe me — we'll be back, and we will bring the firepower to kill. Sound good?"

@Barbas

Victor was quite surprisingly ragged upwards by what appears to be a large hell-hound, of course this left him in all states vulnerable, so stunned by the sudden appearance of the beast it his attention was snatched from the others, and his master plan abruptly canceled. Of course, looking to the hell-hound was his downfall. The woman with her own superhuman abilities was quick to act, taking him by surprise. The only positive thing was he wasn't cut into, but instead knocked out.

At least she was merciful. Or so he hoped, he'd never know if he was killed while unconscious.

@Kalin Scarlet @Elias @Sleipnir @Hel

Ethan , who up to a certain point was silent, finally approached Kyuma and spoke: ''Hey kid, finish the job after I slash it''. He didn't wait for Kyuma to say anything and simply jumped towards Karnak. He unsheathed his blade at faster-than-the-human-eye speed and sheathed it just as fast. While it seemed like nothing happened to Karnak an X-shaped mark appeared on his chest and a greeninsh liquid came out, probably his blood. Ethan's quick strikes lacked power this time, but it was only a distraction. While Karnak was concentrated on the pain, Ethan rotated himself midair, quickly unsheathing his sword again and cutting Karnak's right arm. Afterwards he landed and sheathed his sword. He waited for Kyuma to finish the creature off.

Kyuma released his power and rage at Karnack, yelling with such power as to shake the ground beneath him as his blast enveloped Karnack in crimson light. When the energy wave faded, the being was gone, incinerated by Kyuma's attack.

"I-I did it...Holy crap, I did it! I beat him! Whooo!" Kyuma cheered, leaping in the air in celebration, the power of the queen piece causing him to lift close to 5 feet off of the ground.

Sanja huffed and then grinned at Kyuma, waving a hand and ending the meteorite storm. "Let's all get home," she suggested. Piper nodded and she opened a portal. "This should lead straight to HQ, actually," she added, surprised. She looked at Jefferson.

Alexander sighed relieved, glad to leave this disgusting place. He wasn't sure what would happen in detroit now, but they destroyed the root cause. Hopefully the CDC would take care of the rest. He sheathed his own swords and hugged Sanja, "Great job, mage." He said to his friend before moving away and heading through the portal.

Greyston looked up surprised to see a portal appear in the main office area, and the agents were met by a gun wielding Greyston in front of the portal. He was still confined to his wheelchair, but he seemed intense just the same.

Liliana looked down at the knocked out man in relief. "Come on, I don't know how long this will last, but we need to take him to a cell until he can be tried, yeah? I mean, we already got a confession out of him, so I guess we let the lawyers handle it from here, right?" Liliana asked. She hadn't been part of the department for very long and didn't know how these things worked- of course, likely William didn't either.

Wednesday smiled and started cleaning the lens with Bael.
