Fantasy Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

Carnifex pondered what his response would be for a moment. "Just curious I guess. Doesn't matter much I figure. They probably are watching us constantly. Like you said, we're prototypes, but for what? What are they creating?" Carnifex stood up, his form shifting, and paced around. "Have you ever wondered what they'll do with us once they are done with the testing? When they have finally accomplished whatever goal they had in making us, what then?"

(All I got right now)

@Elias

Victor had no time to respond, the trio had officially started the bloodshed... What a waste. Immediately speeding himself to teleportation-like appearance, he rushed to the man who had summoned the dogs and spiders, ignoring the one who was carrying the handcuffs. After a split-second, and faster than the human eye can perceive, Victor slammed his fist towards Allan's chest, the same strike that killed Connor, though he wasn't trying to murder his attackers, he was trying to defend himself and this man was an annoyance, first burning the documents, then trying to compare the insignificance of law to the importance of science, and now spiders.

@Kylesar1 @Elias @Hel

Allan took the blow, but before flying back, grabbed the suspect's hand to keep him from going back too far. The suspect was incredibly strong. It hurt like hell, but Allan didn't give him the satisfaction of a pain response.

He pulled the suspect towards him and, using a swift movement, threw him to the wall using the suspect's own momentum mixed with his flying back momentum. The man was clearly stronger, but his fighting style was too direct. He pulled out 2 pocket knives, his specialty in close combat. "En Garde."

"Orthrus, scorch it all." Allan said. Orthrus set to burning all the documents with high intensity flames. He dissolved his German Shepherds, but kept Orthrus there.

"Earth Style: Support Armadillo" An armadillo appeared behind Allan, curled up into it's protective ball. In support mode, the armadillo gave Allan a protective armor all over his skin. If he took another hit like that, it'd probably kill him.

And now the smoking one is burning potentially valuable documents, great move. Liliana thought to herself as she sighed. Evidently the man was fast, and strong. Yay. Apparently the fight was going to happen, unfortunately, and seeing that it would be close combat Liliana pulled a sword from her arsenal, calling forth an icy sword that provided a freezing effect to her attacks..

Using her own speed she dashed behind Victor, she may not be as fast as him, but she could hold her own better than any human could. As she appeared she struck out for Victors legs, aiming to incapacitate not to kill.

William sighed, and shot his tendrils at high speed towards the now attacking metahuman. He seemed odd. Proclaiming his love for science so fiercely and then attacking them for the name of it. Laughing, The Kraken focus his eyesight on the suspect's back, and then shot his tentacles, pointy ends sticking out of them. He aimed for the known nerves, that would incapacitate/ paralyze any normal humans, yet he wasn't sure it was going to work on ''Superman''. Puncturing him fast, he hoped for the best. @Archangel Galdrael

Vortigas shrugged as he removed the final nail from his neck. ''I don't know, and frankly I don't want to know. I hope they will keep us, though, because I will be terribly bored if they kicked us out. Or perhaps, they'll try to end us. Get rid of the imperfect purities they created first'' he said pondering on the posibilites. ''However, brother, when that day finally comes....Let's not let them catch us unprepared. If they come for us, we're going to have to kill them. Even 'Father'' if we have to'' he said laying back. Indeed, Carnifex did make a point. What if one day, they would indeed be replaced? What would happen with them then? The Department would surely find them and either end them or lock them up. It shouldn't come to that. For now, though, they should focus on what the Order had in store for them...

@BookWyrm

Victor felt like laughing at the man's fighting attempt, he had no doubt to a normal person he would be fearsome, but Victor must have had quadruple his strength, speed, intelligence, and reaction. Whilst the man used a brief move of momentum to aid him, it would never happen again - the same thing never hit Victor twice, though before he could use his speed to knock those knives away, and break his adversaries wrists all in a second or so - regardless of the armor which would only help against strikes - using a combination of insane speed, strength and martial arts, something sharp pierced his back, causing Victor to momentarily stagger forward. The man's durability meant the tendrils in his back were no great injury, though they were painful.

As if the trio before him were apparently mentally communicating, the girl using her own superhuman levels of speed, seemingly appeared in front of him, slashing out with a rather dangerous looking magic sword. Luckily, from what Victor could now examine, the man he aimed to take out first, had some sort of control over insects, as evidenced by the spiders, attempting to web him, though most were thrown off by his immense speed dash. And also the power to summon certain monsters are creatures, and summon up armor, maybe weapons? Besides that, he seemed relatively mortal. The other man, seemed to have tendrils, sharp ones at that, though easy to dodge, judging by the impact Victor received, he assumed that came with some high durability, maybe strength. The girl, seemed to be the biggest current problem, as she had her own superhuman powers, even if they weren't as potent as his own... She had a big ass sword, which looked far deadlier than two small knives.

With the analysis done, Victor zoomed away from the sword, in the direction of the man who used tendrils, before elbowing his stomach, to cause him to gag, where he would then deliver a powerful chop to the skull, in an attempt to concuss him.

@Elias @Kylesar1 @Hel

William jumped backwards attempting to dodge the incoming speedster, but the hit came fast, and soon he felt the burning sensation of an elbow in his stomach. Stagerring backwards, Will felt the pain, altough his endurance was helping him here. He quickly regained his composure, and dodged Victor's second hit. He deeply watched the man's every move, the way he turned around at high speed, and changing his targets. Victor was no doubt analyzing them aswell, possibly pinning out their weaknesses. Jumping backwards, he retracted his slim tendtrils, and extended four larger and thicked ones, who even though weren't fast, were a hell lot of durable. Chanelling their strength, he pushed himself towards the metahuman, tentacles head-in, hoping to knock him down on impact. @Archangel Galdrael

Allan's cigarette had fallen from the hit. Putting up his knives, he put another in his mouth and lit it up. Puffing his smoke nonchalantly as always, he simply said "Poison Style: Shrike Hound."

A green magic circle appeared in the air, and a hound jumped out. It looked decayed and had a toxic green aura all around it. It's specialty was to break up anyone who was holed up in different places. It had a toxic gas for pretty much any effect.

If the suspect was too fast, all he'd have to do was hit everywhere at once, and weaken the body. Superhumans were still human, and had those same weaknesses.

Him summoning the dog gave him immunity to any toxins made by it. "Cover this place. Body Drain." he said. The dog flashed green and released a thick green cloud from his mouth. The cloud covered the entire room. The gas drains the body's muscles of anyone who breathes it. With Allan immune, everyone should drop but him, and hopefully it'll incapacitate the suspect.

@Archangel Galdrael

@Hel

"Hey, Idiot! That's... not..." Liliana choked out as the gas began effecting her. Valkyries had a great many strengths, resistance to disease and poison were admittedly among them, however that did not change the fact that she was most certainly effected by things like a knock-out gas. She glared a bit at Allan for causing her to stop being able to help and her sword clattered to the floor, followed shortly after by the rest of her body as her muscles stopped working.

@Elias @Kylesar1 @Archangel Galadrael

Alexander followed along behind the others, making sure to stay in his bubble of safety, he had no way to combat these flys, not really, but he made a couple of arcs in front of him with his swords, and each time they made contact with the flies, the fly erupted into either of the two types of flames that his swords held.

''What the hell, Allan!'' William said as the gas began to make its entry in the Kraken's organism.Normally, in his true levi form he would have been immune to such gas, yet now, in his sealed human soul, he had William's true weaknesses. The weaknesses of a human. Starting to cough, he observed how his vision went fainter and fainter. Gripping tightly the wall against him, he struggled to stay awake while the gas was floating, but a couple minutes later fell aswell, his last sight being of Allan facing Victor. He was mildly annoyed that Allan did this. They could have got Superman together....

Justin was meanwhile fighting the insects, making his way along the group towards Karnak. @Barbas

"Ah, shut up. Both of yous. Since when have I done anything without reason?" he then sighed, and puffed his cigarette again. "Frogs are the animals of healing and cleansing. Holy Style: Support Frog." A white magic circle appeared, and 2 white frogs popped out. Support animals are just as easily killed as normal animals. They induce different support effects though. That made them just as much of a threat

As soon as the white magic circle appeared, Allan relinquished control of the spiders, and both the shrike hound and Cerberus disappeared. The gas remained, however. "Get cleansing." he said. The frogs both jumped onto William's and Lilianna's dropped bodies. They flashed white, and both their bodies started glowing. While those frogs stayed on their bodies, they'd be immune to the effects of the gas "Keep those frogs on you at all times, lest you want that gas in your body again. Pockets or shoulder or something."

(This is where some of the animal effects come from)

Disappointed that the new arrivals refused his gifts, Karnak opens up a portal above the small group and pours the liquid within the couldron intto the portal, causing the disease carrying liquid to rain down on the agents.

Sanja swung her hand up, creating a sort of Astral barrier above them. "Seriously, dude, if I can clear this up right quick, I will: We do not approve of plagues in our world and we would love it if you'd lay off," she yelled, pulling her lip back in disgust.

Justin gagged as he saw the liquid pour over them from the nearby portal, but luckily Sanja warded it with a barrier. Gathering his strength he added some sigils to her barrier, to make sure it wont break...

"Keep your gifts to yourself!" Alexander yelled, thankful for both Justin's bubble of fresh air and Sanja's astral shield, though it did look like it may be starting to crack. Hopefully it would hold. He was about to say something, when Justin reinforced it.

Alex was impatient, however, and ran forward, confident that his bracelet would protect him from any diseases, so only physical or magical attacks of a different nature could damage him- hopefully.

Victor was not about to stand around whilst a knock-out gas filled the room like this man's comrades had, he could travel at teleportation-like speed, at nearly 400 mph, his knowledge already made it so a plan was easy, when a car travels so fast the air bounces off it, the air resistance strengthens, an the individual can't breath. Not being able to breath for a while, trumps certain defeat via incapacitation.

He couldn't stop to attack Allan, lest the gas be inhaled, yet just as breathing became scarce, and his speed began to slow, The man spoke,and used some sort of magic to summon frogs. Perhaps he had the mind of a four year old, as he openly declared exactly what they did. Moving beyond normal perception, Victor dashed to William's body,and snatched the frog, holding it in his fist, making escape impossible, but also so the man could still punch. Sure, the summoner could probably just un summon it... But he wouldn't have time for that, how could he react to such inhumane speed, and the knowledge that went with it, the strength was a mere bonus.

@Hel @Elias @Kylesar1

(( I'd equate Victor's movement to too fast for the human eye to perceive, in close combat it doesn't make sense for a summoner to be reacting (like the momentume thing) :P ))

Liliana recovered quickly, thanks to the frog. While she'd wasn't a fan of frogs, it beats not being able to move your muscles. The gas was still in the air, and now she saw that all they had to do was slow the man down long enough for it to effect him, this should make it harder for him to attack the group, but harder to hit, as well. She pocketed the frog, herself, and grabbed her sword off of the ground before lurching with her own speed and strength at the man. Her blow was aimed solidly for his wrist, hopefully if he moved to doge, she'd hit the rest of him instead. Best case she cut his hand off- or at least made him drop the frog.

William started coughing violently. He had a few moments of fresh air, when the frog landed on him, but now as Victor stole it, he reverted back to puking his air out. His leviathan endurance was still keeping him awake...for now, yet he didn't know how much he could hold on. Stumbling to his feet, William blinked rapidly but all he managed to see was a blur running around the room. Stumbling forward, he extended his tentacles and started whipping around, hoping to stop the speedster dead in his track...

@Archangel Galdrael

Justin started muttering in angel tongue, to hold the sigils a while longer, while the liquid continued pouring.

Jefferson however, was standing silently under the shield, his eyes wandering to the open portal. He saw it opened from somwehere, and the liquid must have poured from the thing that poured it (logic ftw). That bubbled an idea in his mind. Screeching, he revealed his true phoenix form, and exited the shields, soaring up towards the open portal, which was still leeking. Dashing through the portal, he left the team behind, only to emerge in other place. The goo and air seemed to be much more at this place, and in the distance a tentacled huge monstrosity was seen far far away. ''Hell's bells'' he muttered. ''The thing is huge'' he said looking at Karnak while still flying. @Barbas

Victor was surprised by the quick counter from the woman, but pressed forward with an assault, that sword was damn big. And if it knicked him... Well, it would hurt, a lot. Instead of moving away from the attack, Victor dashed towards it, and intercepted her strike by grabbing her sword arm before she could strike, of course not much opportunity for a continuation presented itself, when a tentacle smashed into his back, sending the man stumbling forward, whilst holding his iron grip into the woman's sword arm, hopefully to stop himself from being cleaved in two. Victor was simultaneously keeping his eye on the summoner, ready to strike the moment he was certain the woman wouldn't behead him.

@Hel @Elias @Kylesar1

Seeing one of the agents flying above him, Karnak begins to puke a large swarm of flies toward Jefferson. "All will receive the blessings of Karnak!"

"Ah, for the sake of..." Sanja huffed, then with a tremendous expenditure of energy, she used a platform of astral energy to elevate the group through the portal to fight Karnak. Once it was done, she immediately leaned against Sundial, panting.

"Ugh. Not what I was hoping for," Shylock observed, pulling a gun.

"What were you hoping for?" Piper looked at the red-haired vampire, who looked down and frowned.

"Um, maybe unicorns? I don't know, just not that," Shylock replied, and immediately, he began shooting. The thing either didn't know what "blessings" were or it had no intentions of being kind. Either way, Karnak was a threat and had to go.

Noticing the arrival of the other agents, Karnak summons a large horde of Plague Apostles from the bloody ground. At the same time, Karnak attempts to cruah the agents with one of his massive tentacles. "You will join the souls of those afflicted by my blessed plagues!"

Allan looked around to see the suspect grab Liliana's arm and hold it

Earlier, the suspect had rushed in and grabbed the frog fast. It took immense strength to grab a slimy frog like that and hold it without trouble. The frog was now dying under the extreme grip. It lost the ability to use the insta-cure and immunity as the magic was starting to dissolve internally. In other words, the suspect was now holding the equivalent to a normal frog.

A normal animal's struggle would start weakening as it dies. However, this frog was made of pure magic, so it kept struggling violently. Even though the magic was starting to dissolve, it still retained its full body form and its light weight, as well as its original strength. The magic went into maintaining existence instead of using magic spells

The suspect would never know something like this. Only the summoner would ever know that much info about what they summon. As soon as he inhaled again, the suspect would intake the gas, possibly under the belief that he was still immune.

Allan still needed to act............. especially since there was a tentacle coming right for him. He ran towards it and jumped over it. Jumping he crossed behind the suspect's back, out of his line of vision. "Toxic Style: Brown Recluse." He said under his breath, and, using his finger, pointed to where to summon it. Under the loud crashing by William's tentacles, he couldn't be heard. A very small magic circle appeared right behind the suspect's left leg, and a brown recluse jumped out of it unto his leg.

Brown recluse bites were insane as it is. However, when enchanted with Toxic Style, it doubles in potency. If he got bit anywhere on his leg, it was all over. He wouldn't be running anytime soon

''You can take your blessings and stick them up your ass'' Jefferson said as he released a flame breath, hot enough to kill even the most sturdiest creatures, so the flies, immediately crumbled to his fire. Noticing that the others arrived aswell, the phoenix gathered all of his strength and flew at supersonic speed towards Karnak, fire blazing in his path. He was aiming for the beast's belly, and he was careful not to get crushed by oncoming tentacles. ''How well do you cope with heat, ugly?'' he said as he released yet another fiery ray of lava from his mouth, projecting it towards the beast's stomach. @Barbas

Justin eyed the creature carefully, looking at it's ugglyness. ''He looks like a mutated Jabba the Hutt'' he said gagging. ''Let's take it down''. With those words, he noticed the apostles nearing closer. ''Let's fight''

William struggled a little longer, yet without the frog it was useless. His human body eventually failed, and William fell with a loud thump to the floor. He was in need of a new frog... @Kylesar1

Upon being hit by the ray of lava, Karnak roars in pain as a hole is burned through his stomach. Just as Karnak's wound begins to slowly heal, Karnak grabs his couldron with one of his tentacles and dumps the diseased liquid within the couldron into his mouth before spitting it at the Phoenix.
