Fantasy Beyond the Third Sky

- Hanz - avatar of light -

Hanz did not react quick enough to Nio to freeze the angels wings and hurt her, "NO!" Hanz shouted but he was quickly picked up and dragged away, alongside Nio. He did not wish to hurt anyone, there had already been too many deaths today, and he'd be damned if he'd let another one happen.

The angel soon released him leaving Nio to be tended with by Belluam as the angel Caedes, lunged at him quickly with her sword. What did Hanz do? he did not try to fight back, nor did he try to block it with his sword, in fact he de-summoned his sword as a signal that he wished not to fight.

However the angel lunging at him was a problem, but Hanz did the unthinkable. By engulfing his hand in light, he backhanded the sword and...hugged her. He just flat out hugged her in his godly embrace. "I know you see me as a potential enemy, but you must understand..." Hanz said as he vanished in a flash of light and reapeared behind Caedes, unarmed. "I wish not to fight, I wish not to have to kill any of you or them. My reaction was purely instinctional, I believe everyone's was..." Hanz explained as he crossed his arms.

"There has been too many deaths today...and i'l be damned if I let there be any more, as I said, the vampire is not evil, in fact she assisted in saving an entire town. And yet she has been rendered unconsious and holy water is being poured onto her...and of course that'l burn her...THAT is why I interveened directly, I did not attack. The boys reaction was understandable, and I will heal the wounds he caused to her,I promise. I merely ask you NOT to fight me...I do not wish to take another life today...not over a misunderstanding." Hanz explained, he remained unarmed as he simply began flying back to where the angel whose wings Nio had damaged. Wishing to understand why they were doing what they were doing to Xenith. Hanz enjoyed a fight, but not one triggered by a misunderstanding. He left ample room to Caede to attack him from behind if she wished, but he'd be ready to counter that, as much as he wouldn't like doing it.

- Tolan - The hunter -

"Oh demon spawn huh?...cute" Tolan said as he managed to brace for the shield bash as it knocked him back a few meters but didn't really cause damage to him. Readying himself for her follow up attack.

"I think you got it backwards, you show up out nowhere, TACKLE one of ours, render her unconciouss AND pour holy water on her knowing it'l probably burn her alive? Im merely protecting someone I owe a debt to". Tolan spoke, while his voiced sounded more...demonic and angry, it still sounded like his good old rude, sarcastic and critical self.

He reacted faster to her next attack with her sword, quickly slashing wit his axe, making the blades clash together as he pushed forward for a power struggle. "Lets see what you can do...fancy armored wing lady." Tolan spoke as he quickly moved his axe to the right, making it so that the angel's sword moved with it, Quickly moving it with speed so that he'd throw the angel's sword arm to the right, throwing her off balance as Tolan quickly sidestepped behind her, at the same time putting his axe back on its holster in his back.

Without giving the angel much time to react Tolan moved forward behind her, grabbing her from behind, with both his arms in her waist as he quickly threw himself back. Wrestling the angel into a german supplex that would do quite a nasty bit of damage if she did not brace for it, considering she was heavily armored, she'd not only feel the impact, but it would be increased by the weight of her armor.

- Hektor - The gentleman -

Hektor, while surprised, readjusted himself when Jenna grabbed his arm in order to steady her. Quickly putting his hand on her shoulders and leaning her back into the tree. "Why yes...seems like some angels decided to pick a fight with us after we've felled that hellish machination." Hektor explained. "I am glad that you are safe...I barely managed to get you out of the way of a laser beam, but here we are, alive and well. Wish I could say the same for the village that took collateral damage..." Hektor spoke, his voice sounding sadder in the end of his speech. "Now if you'l excuse me we have a new guest."

Being ignored wasn't exactly well liked by Hektor but he decided to try again, specially now that the girl, Odile was now holding a strange looking bow with three arrows pointed at the others...and the angels too.

Quickly dashing towards her, but not attacking her, merely pushing her bow and arrows down with his cane as he looked at her. "Might I ask what you are doing? miss?" Hektor spoke politely, both asking her what she was doing and her name.

@MsPolite I might not be able to get Xenith's post out tonight, I'll see if I can tomorrow.

Nio Magnetus

f60e8a78c12fd9a3e5acceb6f4269786.jpg

Noticing that the unconscious angel had woken up, he immediately glanced towards Xenith, wondering when she would awaken. His original thought was that the unconscious angel would wake up at the same time as Xenith, but now...he wondered if she would ever awaken. Clenching his teeth, he was annoyed by his confusion, and desperately wished to understand what had happened. There's no way she would have just fallen asleep, so what kind of magic is being used here?

As he was distracted by his thoughts, a sudden force from his collar pulled him away from his location, and towards the angel that had caused Xenith's most dangerous injury. Taking a glance at the cause, he noticed bright-crimson wings, and clicked his tongue in response.
"You're next." He whispered, as she flew off towards the avatar. Looking over at his first victim, the angel using some sort of magic on Xenith, he scowled at her pitiful appearance. Pity, gets you nowhere in life.

As he attempted to head over, anger grown through the sudden event, the angel he was nearby to, started shouting at him.
"Burn Fiend!" With a simple analyzation, he noticed her hesitance and fear. He was puzzled by this sudden turn of events, why was she scared of him? Of course, Nio didn't know much about angels, much less their weaknesses.

Dodging the hesitant, panicked lash of fire with a mere sidestep, he dashed forward towards Belluam's open lunging stance, and whilst quickly summoning a thin ice shard, slashed it across her chest. With a short sigh from the sudden rapid movement, he stepped backwards defensively, awaiting her next move.

Nicol woke up. His head felt like something should be in there, but honestly there was nothing. This place felt strange, as the smell of charred wood and a barn assaulted his nose. Struggling to stand, his eyes smarted at the punch of daylight. What was he doing there? But where was he from? he thought to himself as something slapped on his back. Instinctively, he reached back and felt the cool and oddly comforting handle of something like a weapon on his back. His cloak fluttered in the breeze as he stepped out into the street, much to his dismay, the street was full of ruined buildings...

fia stumbled back into town. it had been a long day, and there was no current promise of things getting any better. as her feet moved across the ashen remains of the western end of town. the numb feeling that had invaded her body like a sickness only seemed to grow, and all she could do was hold her arms tight around her body, and keep her eyes down, hoping to not find herself looking at all of remains too carefully. this was too ugly. fia's mind could only play that scene at the battlefield over and over in her mind as she slowly crept through the ghost town, just trying to remember where the library had been, if it had even been in this part of town. just hoping that at least they were safe.

her head suddenly jerked up when she heard sounds of life in the footsteps of someone moving across the ruined streets. her eyes went wide for a moment as she saw a lone figure standing among the rubble, looking around like she was, likely surveying the damage. who was this? nobody else was around except for the two of them, and any other sounds from the town were far off, meaning he was out here alone. he had that same intangible weirdness, too - just like so many of the others she had met today, this guy had that weird look to him. if he was alright... "h-hey!" she says suddenly, rushing closer to him.

she stopped this time at a reasonable distance, her hands nervously clasped together. he was about an average height, but he still was quite a distance above fia, and she found herself looking up at him, feeling slightly sick as she saw the skeletons of buildings covered in refuse behind him. "what are you doing around here?" her voice was filled with worry. if he was like the rest of them, there wasn't much point in asking him who he was, but maybe he'd been around long enough to seen what happened? maybe he'd even survived the blast himself?

Nicol tensed up when heard a feminine voice, then spun around to see his would be attacker. Before he could even respond, his hand was up and a medium sized magical circle formed. "Wh..who are you?" he asked not moving another muscle. "Did you do this?" he started to get mad, but the reason was lost to him. The girl got closer, and he dropped his arm. No one would come close to someone without killing intent. Why did I know that? I could have hurt that girl. He thought as his body relaxed a little. "I just woken up here." he said as he rubbed the back of his head.

Caesar watched the fighting ensue. It was entertaining. Blood, ice, steel. So so lovely. Then he frowned. He should really stop this. He didn't want to, but he knew things would turn out better for him if he did. He opened the tome once more, flicking through the pages for a good solution.

Somrene was not bright. But he was moralistic. The vampire had done no one harm, and had helped diffuse the situation with the mech. For her to be attacked so brutally out of nowhere was not right. He surged forward past the fighting bunch of angels and comrades, towards Jah'Ri and Xenith. The Gigant knelt, and went to pick up the unconscious vampire. He looked to Jah'Ri. "Scaled woman, the vampire is not safe here. A stray blow could catch her at any moment. Will you let me pick her up, bring her back to the town?" He asked her sincerely, glancing around at the fighting cautiously. He wanted to help, but his size and bulk was better served doing this. If Jah'Ri did not refuse, then Somrene would completely pick Xenith up easily, carrying her gently in his arms, and turn towards Cobbleblock with every intention of finding a room for her there.

Lyon surged into battle as soon as she gained a grasp of her surroundings. On instinct, she went to help the boy she had before, Nio. She charged forward, Uzpeni just above the ground. "Get out of here! You guys aren't helping anyone!" She cried, bringing her blade down in a powerful two-handed slash. Then all her momentum was completely halted.

Found it! "Aurea Carcere!" Caesar yelled, holding his hand high, a burst of light illuminating his palm. Around every combatant and otherwise involved party, came an aura of light. It restricted all of their movement, but if they tried hard enough, the spell would be easy enough to break. Mostly he just wanted everyone to take a break, hopefully listen up. But it wouldn't stop them from doing anything really. "Just hold up like two seconds here. There are five angels and I think more than five of the rest of us. Assuming we're all on equal ground, and considering how badass we all just were, I'd assume that's about right, angels are not in a good spot. Not to mention, said angels started this fight, and for no reason. Poor Xenith here just got down wrecking that mech with the rest of us, and all of a sudden you guys attack? Doesn't seem very reasonable to me. But, I'm willing to listen to everyone now. Surely we can be diplomatic?" Caesar asked. OF COURSE, he did kind of just want to kill the angels. But, he knew that wouldn't net him a friend, rather just make him look like a psycho. Which he might be, but that was not the point.

fia flinched, suddenly realizing the intent of his magic. in retrospect, maybe it hadn't been ideal to rush up to a stranger like this, but it hadn't ever crossed her mind to think someone would attack her if she gave them no reason to. it was a sobering thought, actually, to think that this might actually be commonplace. that people regularly attacked each other simply out of fear of being attacked. she bit her lip. maybe she would have to be more careful. "no. i didn't do this," she says simply, her eyes turning away from him for a moment. she decided to start with that question of his in order to assuage his remaining fears, if he still had any. this was probably a scary place to wake up. he was probably just scared.

"the... monster who did, it's dead." she looked back at him, a solemn tone to her voice. she had meant it to be more enthusiastic, more comforting, but her voice couldn't quite manage. she was very tired. not in the way she had felt when she first woke up, but genuinely, encompassingly exhausted. "my name is fia." she finally says, managing to muster at least a little of her usual warmth. she dropped her hands, which she realized she had been nervously wringing, and gave a small smile. it felt startlingly insincere, but she held it together. "if you just woke up... do you remember it? your name?"

Nicol just blinked. A..A monster? he thought to himself. "I am sorry, my name..my name is....Nicol." He said as oddly his body began to move on its own as his left arm was across his stomach, and he bowed at the girl. Something was making him do these odd things. Nicol spotted an overturned bench behind Fia. "Come, rest." he said as he turned the bench right back the way it was meant to be, and offered the weary looking girl a seat. "Monster?" he asked as he sat on the end of the bench.

Xenith La Rosia

proxy.php

*Unknown realm*

After listening to Naun'ii, slightly confused at how to react to the hug, she broke away, lightly pushing her back. "I may be a pure-blood vampire, but why would you talk to me, an uneducated vampire who knows nothing of the world? Sure, I may be able to influence other vampires that I meet to following this pact, but I have no way to communicate with every single vampire in the world. If you would like to stop vampires from drinking the blood of humans, you may need to form a pact with every single pure-blood. My apologies for my lack of power, but I am not as influential of other pure-bloods, who know-" Suddenly, the beautiful, calming environment disappeared, leaving a blank slate of space. The entire world began to crumble and disintegrate, as Xenith suddenly vanished from the realm of peace.

*Reality*

Her vision blurred and spun as she awoke, the abrupt ending to the communication taking it's toll. As she struggled to get up, she noticed she was underneath a shadow, which was being overshadowed by another figure. Her wound was still bleeding heavily, despite obvious attempts to restore it. She wondered who had attempted to help her, as she stared at the bluish marks left behind. As her vision stabilized, she began to examine the figures shadowing her. Jah'Ri, who was leaning over her, with her neck positioned closest, whispered a few words she couldn't understand, but could easily grasp the meaning. Rejecting the offer, she lightly pushed Jah'Ri away, in order to be able to stand up. "Jah'Ri, the rest was sufficient to restore some of my strength, I'll be fine." She smiled sweetly for a split second, expressing her gratefulness for Jah'Ri's aid. Slowly, she stood up, her limbs lazy from the sudden rest. Stepping backwards multiple times, she finally could view the gigant before her. After noticing his non-hostile position, she swapped her view to the frozen statues of people spread around the area. They were all positioned in violent-looking poses, which confused her even more. Were they fighting? Why are they frozen? What is happening? Looking over at Jah'Ri, she simply asked, "What happened while I was out?"

Suddenly a force from behind almost toppled her over, arms wrapped around her chest.

Nio Magnetus

As he noticed the gigant approaching Xenith, he sighed in relief knowing that he wasn't an enemy. A battle cry from behind him caused him to turn around, just locking eyes with Lyon before they were frozen in place by a strange beam of light. Annoyed by this situation, with his love of freedom, he quickly broke free, and was about to attack the frozen angel, as his eyes locked onto a rising figure. Xenith.

Overcome with relief and happiness, with the deep worry within him dissipated, tears formed in his eyes, but refused to drop down. As he ran towards her, at a speed he had never achieved before, he pulled her into a tight hug, glad knowing that she was alive. After a short silence of reunion, Nio asked
"What happened?" "I asked that first..." With her reply, he lightly chuckled, still rather emotional, and replied "Tell me about it later then." For a little while longer, they just stood together, Xenith accepting Nio's warm emotions, and Nio reiterating the fact within his mind, that she was back. He knew, however, that he had to stay wary. If need be, he was ready to form a protective shield, giving them both, and possibly Jah'Ri for Xenith's sake, a chance to escape.

fia nodded, committing his name to memory. she blinked at his sudden bow, and without realizing it, began to frown. he reminded her of hektor, in a way. she shook her head, covering her mouth to hide her discomfort. she didn't feel like she should be upset. she just couldn't accept that they could be gone. after all, what would she do without them? she was vaguely aware that in the process of getting this far, not every single person she had woken up with had made it to this point, but that couldn't just be their fate, as well. that couldn't just be the fate of every single person she met.

"come, rest." she gives a small smile, this time a little more sincere, and tries her best to shake those thoughts for the moment. it could be okay. they could have went anywhere. she comes to sit beside him, secretly a little relieved he had offered a place to sit. at his question she takes a deep breath, and begins to the tale. "this town, apparently, has been at 'war' for awhile. when we came here, things had become more aggressive. i was told that that was why i was here, maybe why we were all here, to end the aggressions, to the end the 'war'." she turns to him, giving him a serious look. there was no doubt he was like one of them. was it really his fate to suffer at the hands of this senseless fighting? she continued, looking away from him again and towards the horizon, where the battlefield lied. "i went to where the fighting was. i wasn't necessarily there to fight - someone had went missing over, so i was going to help, to see what 'war' was, what it was like..."

"the other side of the conflict were giants. so much more powerful than the people of this town. these people didn't have the powers we have, the power the giants had. when the giants attacked the people, we fought against them, saved so many of them. that made of all of the giants fled, except for one. the monster. it was so powerful, it was able to destroy so much of the town so quickly, and all of the people from this town that had been fighting against it. we were stop it, eventually, but..." she stopped, her arms wrapping around her stomach as she felt herself getting sick again. she turned her gaze down. "i don't know if they're okay, the people i came here with. i- i think they were in this part of town when i left. i came back here to find them. when i saw you here, i thought, since you're like us, you might have... survived it. that they might have..." she holds the hem of her dress tightly. she wasn't sure if everything she had just now had even been coherent, it had all spilled out of her so quickly. none of it even seemed real to her yet.

He looked at her. Deep down inside he wanted to help her. But something told him to show some decorum. "Giants, and a war." he said as a momentary image came to mind of a man, alone looking down at a darkness rushing at him. Then it was gone, as quick as it came. "I have to be honest. I do not believe I was part of this place. Something feels off to me. Like its a place that isn't where someone like me would be." he spoke earnestly.

His head was hurting. He could not abide this feeling of helplessness that not knowing was doing to him. And here was this cute girl suffering through a really bad spot. The worst part of it all...I don't even know what I am. He thought as something heavy on his belt was nagging him with its weight. It was a beautiful looking waterskin, embroidered with leaves and symbols he could not understand. Opening it up, he poured some into his mouth, without his lips touching the mouth of the skin. The cool water was sweet, and oddly refreshing. "Here, drink this." He said handing the girl the waterskin.

Jah'Ri

Standing guard over the unconscious Xenith, the Dragonborn was approached by the large, powerful-looking humanoid creature that towers over Jah'ri and all the others on her side. Jah'Ri listened to his words, and her eyes widened in realization. That was true, she could be harmed. Jah'Ri nodded, and began to move to Xenith's side so the Gigant could pick her up, but as she was doing so Xenith stirred. Her neck still near the vampire's fangs, she satyed still just in case she accepted the Dragonborn's offer to drink.

She did not however, she simply pushed jah'Ri back. Jah'Ri nodded, with a slightly sad glint in her eyes at realizing her help was apparently not needed. At Xenith's small smile however, she couldn't help but smile back a little. "Jah'Ri is glad you are alright..." she replied softly, in a releived, caring tone. She decided that she could at least assist in helping Xenth escape from the others. She opened her mouth to explain that the Gigant beside her wishes to carry her away from the danger, and that Jah'Ri would follow and provide cover fire, more or less literally, but her words would never come to fruition as she found herself falling silent, staring as someone came from behind Xenith and wrapped his arms around her.

Jah'Ri fround her eyes narrowing angrily at the sight, for only a moment, until she caught sight of how happy Xenith seemed in this moment. The words Xenith and Nio said to each other escaped Jah'Ri entirely, as she found herself simply staring at the two with vey intense, very mixed feelings. This reminded her of when Xenith and Nio first came across each other. Jah'Ri remembers looking into Xenith's eyes and seeing a joyful glint in Xenith's eye unlike anything she had seen at that point. Witnessing this once more, Jah'Ri had a terrifying thought. From watching Nio very closely for a while, Jah'Ri felt as though she had no reason to suspect Nio would harm the vampire anymore. However, it seemed that Xenith was the only being among everyone here that he even remotely cared about to Jah'Ri's perceptions. If Nio wanted to whisk her away from Jah'Ri and everyone else, and make him the only significant person in her life, which certainly seemed like something he'd do if he got a chance, would Xenith accept? The way she was acting around him right now seemed to be evidence that she very well may. Jah'Ri felt something break in her chest at the very thought of suddenly never seeing Xenith again, of being forgotten by her.

Not bearing to watch this emotional scene anymore, Jah'Ri interrupted them in a cold tone of voice she has never used with Xenith before. "If you two are finished being oblivious to the threats surrounding you, Jah'Ri suggests we retreat now before you are harmed again, Xenith." If Xenith attempted to make contact with her whatsoever, she would simply look away with a sad, almost lifeless look in her eyes she's never had. Barring any angels attacking Xenith, Jah'Ri or any of the beings surrounding the Dragonborn, she was done fighting. She had somehow lost the excitement for battle she had once felt, simply by staring at how enamored Xenith was to someone who seemed to despise everyone but her alone.

fia nodded. that was a popular sentiment among the group, apparently. a feeling of not belonging to your surroundings. before this, where had they been? in the wilderness, fighting off animals? now they were here, for no real discernible reason. "i think the only thing we had in common, was that we were all so different. it's not just you. i don't really understand anything here. i don't even think i knew what a town was until we got here." still, it was disheartening to hear. if he had appeared after the blast, then that meant her friends still might not have survived, if they were here. but it could wait. either they made it out okay, or they didn't - the blast had left nothing, only foundations and ash were left to show that there had been any life here at all.

"here," he offers, after having pulled a strange container from his belt. she blinked, eyeing it carefully before accepting it gratefully. it was odd - for once, she actually knew what this was, what it was for. she held it a slight way from her mouth and poured it carefully in. once she had finished, she gulps it down, at first looking rather surprised. then she grins. "thank you!" she says, handing it back to him. "i really didn't realize how thirsty i was. i... don't think i've eaten or drank anything in the past day or two?" it was weird to admit that. in fact, she'd been so caught up in everything that's happened, she hadn't even remembered that she needed to do that. at the mention of her stomach, though, it begins to growl. she laughs, lightly.

"...maybe we should head into town. it's... i'm not sure i wanna stay here any longer. i know they aren't here, now, and that's the only reason i came." she looks to him, her expression considerably lighter. talking with someone about it had helped her find some hope, and for that, she was grateful. she wanted to stick with him, at least for now. maybe she could at least be sure he would be safe.

@DergTheDergon I don't have enough time to do Nio's sad story, so I'll leave it for tomorrow. Enjoy <3

Xenith La Rosia

proxy.php

Xenith was startled, but pleased to have Nio back. She held his arms tenderly, feeling the emotions he felt flow through her. Suddenly, a cold voice cut through the air, despite it's heavy differences, she knew immediately who it had come from. Looking up concerningly, she gently broke away from Nio's embrace, and approached Jah'Ri. "Jah'Ri? Are you-" As she reached out to touch her best friend, she recoiled at her reaction. Lifeless eyes, rejected her being, and it tore her heart. Does she...dislike me? Hate me, even? Without even noticing, her face had filled with pain, streams of tears rolling down her cheeks. Her usual calm demeanor, had been crushed within seconds. It felt as if it had been a long time since she cried, but now it appeared as if she couldn't stop. "Jah'Ri...Jah'ri don't hate me....don't leave me..." She whimpered, as she clutched her hands towards her face. She didn't even care for the reason at the moment, all she wanted, was that Jah'Ri would return. And turn this way. Accept her once again for the monster that she is. Memories filled her mind, her first friend. Her best friend. Her closest companion. "Come back..."

This was wrong. Jah'Ri was always chasing after her. Xenith realized something she should have known sooner. Her terrible expressive ability lead to this. It was her fault. She hadn't expressed her emotions, showed how much she really did care. Perhaps it was too late. But she had to try. Dashing towards her best friend, she wrapped her arms around her in a tight hug. "Jah'Ri, I really do care for you. You are the most important person to me. If I hurt you, let me know. If I do something that upsets you, let me know. I'm really, really sorry." Tears continued to roll down her cheeks, her emotions deep and sincere. She couldn't even use the extent of her vocabulary, with all the stress and worry piling up.

fia strast

fia nodded. that was a popular sentiment among the group, apparently. a feeling of not belonging to your surroundings. before this, where had they been? in the wilderness, fighting off animals? now they were here, for no real discernible reason. "i think the only thing we had in common, was that we were all so different. it's not just you. i don't really understand anything here. i didn't even think i knew what a town was until we got here." still, it was disheartening to hear. if he had appeared after the blast, then that meant her friends still might not have survived, if they were here. but it could wait. either they made it out okay, or they didn't - the blast had left nothing, only foundations and ash were left to show that there had been any life here at all.

His stomach growled. How long has it been since I have eaten? It feels like it has been awhile. He thought to himself. "We should. Even if there are no monsters nearby, we could probably be mistaken for their allies and dealt with." he said softly. "You are welcome." he spoke with a bit of reserved happiness in his tone. "Maybe we could find food and safe shelter also." he suggested.

Naun'ii the Messanger

.Naun'ii was getting ready to fight the lizard woman when she then turned and left, ignoring the angel. Naun'ii was taken aback by this because not only was a sign of total disrespect but... Naun'ii quickly twirled around with her sheild up to find no one. The lizard had just left and this wasn't a trap. Naun'ii turned her attention to Xenith and saw that was where the lizard went. Alarms were sent flying threw her mind as she didn't see Consilium. She looked around and saw that Consilium was on her bum, cradling her wing. Something must have happened. Naun'ii then sprinted towards the elder angel only now noticing her screams and wailing of pain. Tears covered her face. The once majestic and calm angel seemed so frail and old... Naun'ii knelt at Consilium's side to take a look at the injury. Frost. a stab of fear ran down her spine... someone here can use frost magic. Naun'ii looked around frantically to spot the threat and saw it. Nio the vampire. Naun'ii saw this one in Xeniths Mind. Naun'ii hugged Consilium. "I'm so sorry my dear אַחָאִים. Let me see what i can do." Naun'ii took her אַחָאִים wing and examined it but before Naun'ii could do anything a bright light shined in the sky and everyone froze if only for a second. The other Angels made there way to the couple's location.

Caedes the Soldier,Costos the Commander & Belluam the Justicar

.Caedes pushed away Hanz immediately and almost slashed him, but stopped as he turned his back to Her. Caedes was befuddled by the action, and chose to walk away from it. She really didn't care. If he was willing to fight, Better for her. Caedes turned to help Belluam with the Frost vampire. She notice that she was panicking. Fear was probably the single greatest enemy of an angel, but lucky for Caedes she had none. Suddenly another Combat charges. Belluam raised her shield to block. Caedes began flying towards Nio, ready to plunge her sword threw his heart. then she froze for a second and stopped. Nio left and Belluam looked like she was getting ready to make another assault Against the new combatant. "Belluam no, fall in." She yelled without a trace of emotion. Belluam grunted, and reluctantly flew by Caedes side, then wiping off some ice off her breast-plate from Nio's attack.

Costos world suddenly turned upside down wjen she felt her self being grappled then slammed head first into the ground. Her vision blirred for a moment but then quickly recovering and standing up in battle ready stance facing her opponet
Tolan. Costos then heard the screaming from Consilium and almost turned her head to look. Octos quickly flew up kneeing the Blood Demon square in the jaw then pushed herself further into flight. There was a moment that she was frozen in place but easily shook off the weak spell, that was meant more for mindless undead . Costos flew up next to Belluam and Caedes as the headed towards the injured Consilium. "Any casualties?" Costos asked the two. "No Ma'am." Caedes responded. Costos grunted in acknowledgement. The trio landed ate the couple and crowded around the injured Elder. "What happened Consili- Consilium!" Costos yelled running to Consilium who were in Nuan'ii's arms wen she saw the frost and the dead feathers falling. The commander knelt down by the Angel wiping away her tears. "Your going to be alright, You understand?" Costos asked nodding her head to reinforce the Idea.

"Just tell us what to do on how to heal you wing."

Consilium the Councillor

.Pain. it seemed like that was all she felt. It overwhelmed her to where she couldn't feel the rest of her body but her wings and the pain. Her mind kept faded to black. The pain.. the cold cold pain. She heard someone speak. Naun'ii? She couldn't here her. Consilium whimpered with every touch. What was she doing? She didn't know a thing about healing. Then more came, surrounding her, sounding concerned. Consolidation reached out to the sky, then felt her hand being grasped tightly. Warmth. It was so nice. "Fire. Holy fire. Burn the Ice." Consilium panted, struggling to remain awake despite the pain ever present.

"Yes my אַחָאִים." Someone said. She didn't know, it was all to dark to tell. Or to bright? Again she couldn't tell it kept going from white to black. Suddenly another sharp pain ran the course of her right wing, like someone was sawing of her wing. She screeched at the top of her lungs. The world was fadeing again. The darkness was setting in again trying to take her into the cold dark abyss. But this time it felt so soothing.

Costos stood up with Consilium in her arms passed out. She looked towards Naun'ii and nodded her head. Naun'ii did the same in response understand what need to be done. Caedes and Costos flew away towards the town while Naun'ii and Belluam walked towards the group. Naun'ii went to Xenith and took her hand. "
Sister think on what we said. And here take this." She handed a holy water vial. "Do not use it alone, it will hurt you. Corrupt it with Demonic Essence or Dark Blood then it will heal any wounds you may have. Once corrupted it will only work on undead such as yourself. But alone it can heal any living creature. We will meet again very soon I believe. Until late then goodbye." She began walking back with Belluam in-tail. She then Turned back and stared Nio in the eye, giving him a stare of pure and utter hatred. And if Nio, Xenith or Hanz payed close attention, the would see a corrupt taint in her eyes.

fia nodded, looking east to the rest of the town. her face fell a little at the mention of being mistaken for an ally of those monsters. she certainly did not want anyone to think she was the type of person who would do... this to them. especially since she might actually have the capability. "yeah... i guess that'd be for the best." her voice trailed off a little, actually seeming a little concerned. she started walking off towards the direction of the rest of the town, considering what they might do for the time being.

"um...so, i think in the building we were all in before, they had something on the wall showing where everything in town was. it looked kind of big to me, so maybe they'll have places to eat and stuff? then again, i wouldn't really know..." she blinks. "they're probably having trouble, with what's happened to them." she frowns at the thought, looking away from the section of town they were nearing, and off into the distance. the battlefield was one direction, and the librarian had said there wasn't really anywhere near where they could go. she purses her lips for a moment, looking pensive. maybe they wouldn't be the only ones thinking about things like these.

"i guess we might have to help ourselves?" she offers vaguely, still considering it. would they have to go out into the woods? kill something? the idea of it felt odd to her. so many of her friends could take the appearance of animals - what would be okay to eat? she wasn't sure if she was up for that sort of thing right now, but maybe they would have to. as they walk, she looks a little worried about it. maybe he'd know what to do. it seemed like everyone knew better than her about things like this.

Jah'Ri

Jah'Ri continued averting her gaze for a moment, unable to bear beholding the wicked spell Nio seemed to have on Xenith any longer. Jah'Ri had protected her through the battle, willing to give her blood through both being bitten and through being wounded to keep her safe, only to to pushed away, then for Nia to arrive and steal Xenith's attention entirely. Jah'Ri doubted she meant ill by this but, it was difficult to accept in this moment that she truly valued Jah'Ri's companionship.

However, Jah'Ri then heard Xenith's pained words. She could not help but look over at her, tears welling in her own eyes... Jah'Ri had never cried before as far as she knew, but it simply happened now due to the emotions coursing through the dragonborn. "Xenith.... Jah'Ri does not hate you..." she said quietly, after a pause, still not moving closer from the distance she had put between herself and Xenith. She said it so osftly that she wsn't sure Xenith could ehar, and she couldn't bring herself to say it louder. For some reason, even after she pleaded Jah'Ri to come back she still could not bring herself to move. What if, despite Jah'Ri coming to her, she still eventually chose Nio over her? Decided to abandon her? This far kept Jah'Ri's clawed feet grounded rigth where they stood.

Then, Xenith rushed forth and hugged her. This sudden action was shocking, surprising and comforting all at once. She still could not move, and right now... no part of her wanted to. She found herself instinctually wrapping her arms around Xenith, listening to her words. Jah'Ri stayed silent for a moment after her answer, processing what she had said. Words then fianlly came to her in a tear-choked whisper. "Jah'Ri does not hate you, but she is... confused... you say now that Jah'Ri is most important person to you, yet moments ago you seemed to forget her existence in the presence of Nio.. Jah'Ri does not wish you to choose between us, but... she is worried... worried that he could take you away from her, that she never see you again... From what Jah'Ri has seen of Nio... she simply cannot trust him.. Jah'Ri's anger is not with you, it is with him. He seems to be attempting to distance you from Jah'Ri, and even all others to an extent... and he seems to be succeeding at times... Jah'Ri forgives Xenith, she is sorry for the way she has acted moments ago, and will tell you if she feels this way in future...she hopes you understand why now.. " She trailed off after this, waiting for a response as she held Xenith. Already her tense, melancholy mood was fading, Xenith's warmth and the telling outpour of her emotions having quelled the doubt in Jah'Ri mind, at least partially. Nearly everything on this battlefield seemed to fade away for this moment... Jah'Ri could shield Xenith from any attacks this way, anyway.

Jah'Ri slowly released Xenith after any sort of answer was given, becoming once more aware of her surrounding. Immidiately acanning ofr angels, Jah'Ri noticed most of them group around the injured angel Jah;Ri had seen tearing the wings of moments ago. She seemed to be in such agony. "enemies have stopped fighting to tend thier injured," Jah'Ri remarked. "Perhaps they are not to be destroyed, but the way they attacked you... Jah'Ri cannot make sense of thier actions," Jah'Ri commented, speaking for Xenith to hear. Her tone of voice was quiet and still rather emotional, not having recovered from the turmoil she felt with all the intense mixed feelings, that only grew stronger, if more pleasant, as Xenith rushed to the Dragonborn and embraced her. Standing beside Xenith, Jah'Ri then noticed two of the angels approaching, one of them the one who had led the attack fixing them with watchful reptilian eyes, scaly arms crossed.

Naun'ii's words only confused Jah'Ri further, causing her to narrow her slitted eyes at them. It was as if Jah'Ri could not get a handle on the true feelings, motivations and intetntions of anyone around her now. As they turned to simply leave, Jah'Ri called after them. "You attack Xenith, cut her off from her allies, than call her sister and give her a gift?!" She called out incredulously. "Do you wish to harm or to help Xenith?! Answer Jah'Ri! Explain your actions!" Even after her momentary wavering of trust in Xenith, Jah'Ri found herself standing up for her dear friend once again, so focused on her irate confusion over the angels' actions that she'd entirely forgotten what she was even upset about moments ago.

- Tolan - The hunter -

"Ha!" Tolan smirked inside his mask as his supplex worked, however the angel quickly recovered herself, but when Tolan was about to act, a cricle of energy materialized around both him and the angel. "The fu-" Before Tolan could react he had been kneeled in the face, his mask withstanding the blow without much damage, but it was enough for him to feel the impact and be thrown back a few meters as he slid across the ground.

"...Why..." He grunted as he broke free of the circle as he stood back up, and noticed the angels began retreating, and that Jah Jah was speaking with them, also hugging Xenith. Walking over to them as his aura began to dissipate a bit. His eyes through the mask were still glowing though.

"Ain't this the emotional moment?" Tolan jokingly asks both Jah Jah and Xenith, "Its true though...you've been too hung up on Iceboy to notice Jah Jah's love for you." Tolan spoke motioning his hand at Jah'rii as he spoke, confirming his point, his tone...not rude or aggressive? but instead just simply sarcastic, the good type of sarcastic. "Now get a room, seriously." Tolan soon changed into his normal tone as what Jah rii said was true as well.

"Doubt we could get them to talk. Angels seem a bit to proud of themselves to speak to us 'mortals'...one did call me a demon spawn." Tolan said as he reminded himself of something. He took a few steps forward and looked at the angels, and at Costos. "OI FANCY WING LADY! I'l pay you back for that knee next time we meet alright? No running from the fight then!" Tolan shouted at them, specificaly for Costos to hear. "I'l show you what a true demon spawn is-Guh" Tolan was interrupted as his aura fully dissipated a few moments later, and...he felt a sharp, sharp pain all over his body. "what..." Tolan said kneeling down...hurt, Blood dripping from his mask's eyes, shit he was bleeding from his mouth and eyes...was this an overusage of blood magic? "Well...." Tolan said as he felt extremely dizzy. "Huh...why do I feel so light...oh yeah blood...fuuuuuuuuuuuuck" He said as he kneeled down, the blood still dripping from his mask. He was still concious, and the side effects would pass soon. But this was a horrible feeling.

- Hanz - The avatar of truth -

Hanz was satisfied that the angel did not wish to attack him, albeit her earlier acts of aggression were not welcomed, Hanz was willing to forgive her for that. And as Hanz said he was not going to attack the angels, even if they retreated. But him seeing them carrying their wounded tugged at his heart...if he even had one in this form anyway.

He passed by in front of the angels on his way back. Simply nodding to them as he stepped aside to let them through.

"I hope she recovers...that is all." Hanz spoke as his avatar form began to glow, and after a bright flash, he dropped down onto the ground, in his human form. "Until we meet again..." Hanz spoke as he walked over to the other group. No more, no less, all he hoped is that he wouldn't have to fight them the next time they met, Hanz would hate to have to kill one of them. Hanz didn't have much to say anyway. (by that I mean everyone but the angels).

Nio Magnetus

f60e8a78c12fd9a3e5acceb6f4269786.jpg

He could only watch as he watched her leave, her long hair brushing the tips of his fingers. It hurt. Of course it did. Seeing the one you care for most choosing another, despite him already knowing this fact, it was harsh seeing it in reality. At least she's alive and well. He thought optimistically. I'll...just have to deal with seeing this again. Just like before. He couldn't hear Jah'Ri's whisper of words, but it still annoyed him that she was angered by the mere hug he gave. You're already her favourite. What more do you want? How selfish are you? He clenched his fist in anger, only to remember he was just as selfish as her. If anything, his desires were greater, yet more controlled.

His eyes drifted over the angels, not particularly caring now that they weren't hostile. However, as he returned his gaze to the emotional moment of Jah'Ri and Xenith, he felt a strange, dark force behind him. Swiftly spinning round, he locked eyes with Belluam, noticing a dark swirl of corruption forming within her eyes. A darkness unlike any other enveloped him, which was formed through a powerful emotion, hatred. As she walked away, he stared for a moment longer.
Those...weren't the eyes of an angel. As he was distracted by Tolan's approach, he thrust the thought to the back of his mind.

Who was hung-up on who? It was me forcing my emotions on her...you had the wrong perception of the situations. Deciding to not pick another fight, with Jah'Ri or Tolan, he merely left his bottled up emotions to be released another time. No one would benefit from more conflict at the moment...especially Xenith. As Tolan suddenly knelt down, blood pouring out of his mask, Nio merely stood there, not particularly caring to help. Karma. Was his first thought. It was so absurd it even slightly surprised himself, but he still merely watched as the scene laid itself out before him.

Caesar whistled softly as he watched the angels depart. "So that was interesting." He said, sauntering over towards Nio, Xenith, Jah'Ri, Tolan, Hanz and anyone else Yuffie forgot was there. He shut his tome, his eyes glancing towards Tolan, not really wanting to help the guy with a healing spell. "Anyway, back to what I was saying before poor vampirella here was attacked, what exactly are we doing next? We don't have anywhere to go, anything specific to do, and no job." Caesar said. Well, he did have a job. Kind of? He wasn't sure if owning some place counted as a job.

Lyon rushed over to Tolan, having switched to White Blood. She cast a healing spell over him, hoping it would work. "Hey, you alright? You seem in pretty rough shape." She questioned, a worried expression coming onto her face. She looked up to Caesar. "Maybe we should rest up somewhere? It's been a long day." Somrene came over to the group.

"I agree." The Gigant said clearly, crossing his arms over his chest, his warhammer sitting in the dirt next to him. Caesar looked from person to person to person...

"Well, if need be, I own an inn in town. There were some unfortunate circumstances, and it came into my possession. We can go back there?" He proposed.

Xenith La Rosia

proxy.php

Her body was flooded with relief as she felt Jah'Ri's reptilian arms wrap around her own. As she heard her out, she wasn't startled or surprised in the least, perhaps she already knew the reason. Deep within her heart. "Jah'Ri, whenever...I'm with Nio...a powerful nostalgia washes over me. I feel the actions he takes, are ones I've seen a million times before. It's mysterious, yes. But it's also alluring, as I want to know why I feel such a deep connection with him. I would be utterly heart-broken if I had to choose between you, and I feel that Nio already knows this. Which is why he hasn't separated us, and is just watching. I want to stay with both of you...as long as I possibly can." Xenith slowly released her, as Jah'Ri did the same. The emotions were still swirling around her mind, so much that she didn't even notice the blood dripping from her bandage. At Jah'Ri's words, she felt a slight guilt building up. "I don't think...that they're our enemies..."

At Naun'ii's gift, all she replied with was a simple "Yes..." still slightly confused by the whole incident. Was the pact made? They didn't exactly discuss all the details properly, so most likely not. "Jah'Ri, be calm. I feel the pieces will be put together after I tell you my side of the story. But first..." She trailed off, only now realizing the dull pain of her injury spreading throughout her body. "We should all rest up..." She merely watched, similar to Nio, as Tolan approached and collapsed before them. It didn't matter anyway...he was already being healed by someone else. An inn? Was there no medical building? Her mind began to spin as she struggled to remember what was on the map. Reluctantly, as she gave up on her memory, she replied to his offer "Yes....if it's alright with you...I'd like to go there with my companions." Her skin became ever paler, despite her skin naturally being a deathly white. She tightened Nio's coat around herself, trying to keep her mind off the pain.

Nicol sighed. Something inside told him to avoid the people living in this town. But, why? He thought to himself. He took her hand as they passed people picking through the dead, looking for loved ones, or more grotesquely, looting the bodies. He had much disdain for those types. It seemed wrong, but his sharp eye sight picked up something ahead. It was a refugee soup line. It was common for the victims and general populace to be affected by a battle, worse so, is that they could find no provisions. But there would always be a soup line, as soup was the easiest thing to make, and could fill you up or at least settle empty stomachs. "Come, let us join them." he said as he pointed to the soup line.

Jah'Ri

Jah'Ri was so caught up in the moment she never paid much attention to Tolan's banter, but she did notice that his tone was... less unpleasant than she was used to hearing. Still, she took his sarcastic side comments as just that and didn't address the hunter at all. Listening to Xenith's words, she finally began to understand what had Xenith so mesmerized by him. She understood because Xai'Kah had made her feel the same way at times... yet it seemed he was gone now. Jah'Ri didn't seem him among the others gathered here, and feared the worst... that he'd been vaporized along with the Oren She felt a tinge of sadness yet, it didn't seem like much if only because her memories of him were slowly fading. They had been so few and fragmented to begin with, slowly being pieced together the more time Jah'Ri spent with him, yet she had very little time to spend with him throughout this battle, which broke out directly after meeting him. It seemed strange that Jah'Ri did not feel profoundly sad, yet in the grand scheme of things, she hardly knew him even if in another time, perhaps even another place, she knew him well. Whilst standing here, embracing Xenith, she felt as though she could endure any hardships as long as she was here.

That was why, as Jah'Ri listened closely to Xenith's words, she felt a tug of guilt at her chest. If what Xenith was saying about Nio was entirely true to the boy himself, then as long as Jah'Ri tolerated him, Jah'Ri may not have to choose as she so desperately wanted not to. Jah'Ri looked over at Nio, for once her gaze devoid of hate, of anger... it simply seemed neutral, as that's how Jah'Ri felt about him now. He was simply standing there, making no effort to seperate the two even though he most likely hated seeing how Xenith clung to Jah'Ri. If he could exercise restraint somehow, the boy who had just moments ago sadistically ripped the wings from an angel, surely Jah'Ri could do the same. "Jah'Ri... understands... and she will not make you choose. If both her and Nio are needed for Xentih's happiness then perhaps she can learn patience with him. She still cannot trust him, too much of his behavior... unnerves her." Pausing for a moment , she ten released Xenith, a few moments before the angels began walking up to her. "Xai'Kah made Jah'Ri feel like you describe, but Jah'Ri fears he is... gone..." She gazed over to where the Oren army once stood, nearly certain that he had been vaporized along with them. A single tear trailed down her face, but she did not notice. "Jah'Ri shall be fine... as long as she is by your side."

After demanding answers from the angels, she was roused from her irate haze by Xenith's voice. Turning to her, Jah'Ri slowly nodded. Apperently Xenith understood what was going on, somehow... she had even said moments earlier that they were not thier enemies, but thier actions up to approaching Xenith without hostile action this time seemed to signify otherwise. As Tolan approached,d Jah'Ri stared down at him concernedly, but the mometn a woman rushed to heal him she turned her attention back towards Xenith. As Jah'Ri waited for Xenith to continue speaking, she finally realized that Xenith looked rather unstable on herr feet. Looking over her body, she then noticed the bleeding wound. She seemed to be struggling t even speak and stand up properly. Jah'Ri nodded at Caesar's suggestion to go to the inn he apparently owned, and having expressed her agreement immediately took Xenith in her arms again, holding her steady to ensure she remains on her feet, yet not allowing much freedom of movement. "You told Jah'Ri that your rest was sufficient, but she knows better looking at you. She will not have you collapse on the way to the inn if you can drink of her blood now and be alright. Jah'Ri will be fine with a little more blood loss, yet it does not seem you will be." She was intent on keeping Xenith in her arms until she drank, not caring that there were people around to see and certainly not bothered by the prospect of a little pain and blood loss in order to ensure Xenith's well being.

@VioletShadow

fia winced at the two of them entered into a part of town that wasn't completely decimated. nicol took her hand as she went through the growing crowd, and she was glad he had. all around them were people still reeling from the event - bodies of people in the street, people looking for whatever they could find remaining on them. for fia it was a deeply distressing, pitiful sight. she squeezed nicol's hand harder as she put her head down, trying not to look around at all the signs of the disaster. it made fia physically ache. 'i could have done more...' she thought to herself, stepping over a stray limb. she couldn't just believe that something like this was unavoidable. she just couldn't accept a life where things like this were expected. a world where someone was always suffering.

nicol suggests they join the waiting crowd, and she isn't really sure why, at first. she doesn't really understand why people would make a formation like this. she holds off on asking, though. it's almost embarrassing to her, at this point. so she sort of nervously waits, watching intently where the line is going, trying to piece it together for herself. it was all incredibly uncomfortable. she didn't know what to do with herself, standing still like this and just watching other people, so she shuffled her feet, snapped her fingers. small little restless motions, trying to pass time. she saw a lot of people giving them weird looks, which didn't really help. what was up with them? was she doing something wrong? did they think the two of them looked weird? she found it annoying. 'if they have something to say, they should just say it already!' she looked over to nicol, hoping he wasn't bothered by it, but she noticed something else, too.

"hey, that looks like the picture that was hanging in the library!" fia says suddenly, drawing a few more looks their way. she gives a few of them an annoyed counter-look before lightly grabbing nicol's sleeve and pointing to it's direction. "that's a map, ya idiot," the child behind them points out. fia turns, sticking her tongue out at him, before looking back at nicol. "the small stuff beneath the pictures means something, right? could you see where the 'library' is on there?" she looked genuinely excited as she looked over at it, bouncing a little where she stood. "i can, um, keep standing here. if that's how it works." she still wasn't sure what they were doing. she hadn't really been paying attention. she just hoped this wouldn't make everyone more annoyed. she had no idea what they were doing wrong.
