Era went deep red, she never been kissed before. Yao was pretty much her only friend at the village.


Aquita looked back to check on her friends and gave a small smile. "I usually think of couples as Ying and Yang but they seem so much alike."

"A best friend as a lover, particularly one of their trust and longevity, hard to think of anyone better for the job. Fate only knows the path a couple will go... Even the closest don't work..." Jiao replied a certain hint of sadness." Still nice to see in the quagmire we are in. It's hopeful."

 

[Mae Renea]

Aquita caught the sadness. "Where you once in love?"

 

[ThatGuyWithSouvlaki]

"Yeah.... To someone I shouldn't..." He muttered just looking of in the distance. His hand moved touching the side of his mask, before acting like he just realised what he was doing and returned his hand to the reins. "All in the past though, life goes on." He said in his usual tone.

Aquita frowned, something clearly hurt him. She could understand. She turned to give him a smile, "Everything happens for a reason."

"I hope so." Jiao said simply before focusing on the road ahead. The traveled for a couple of hours and soon it was clear that dusk was approaching on the horizon. Yao yawned feeling a little tired before looking back at his company. "What do you guys think call it a night?"

 

[Mae Renea]

Era nodded jumping down to create the four tents and the put for the fire. Aquita got down to make dinner.

Jiao stepped down off the bird and took a poultice out of his pack."I will be with you guys in a minute, I need a moment for a daily ritual. If Era can close the tent behind me it would be appreciated."He said stepping into the tents and waited for the tent to close before starting a small fire for light. He removed his hood and mask before rubbing the poultice on his face, gritting his teeth and groaning as he did.


"Ok..."Yao muttered at the announcement before moving close to Era. "So... Its out of the bag now... What do we do?"

 

[Mae Renea]

Era looked up at him and gave a shrug, they still had a mission. "I suppose we do what we can. We still have a mission to do." Blushes and kisses his lips softly. "Doesn't mean we forget what is going on between us." Aquitaine glanced over them and chuckled.

Yao put his hand on her waist gently as she spoke and looked at her a tad confused. "I dont see what our mission has to do with this new us. I dont understand what you mean?"

 

[Mae Renea]

"Distractions," she looked up at him lightly. "We can't get distracted but it doesn't mean we throw things off. I'm really happy."

"I don't think this is a distraction."He said giving her a quick kiss."Some of this "distraction"could be a comfort at hard time and extra incentive to push on. I think we know the appropriate time and place to be us and when to focus on the task at hand."He kissed ker again.

Era blushed, kissing back the last time. "As always you are right." She likes him holding her like that.

"I 'm sorry, I am what?" He asked with a mix of genuine surprise and a little smugness. "I thought I heard you say something there that I heard before said but never to me and from you of all people. Can you repeat that?"

 

[Mae Renea]

Era laughed some, "You won't hear it again, Yao." She teased, she already said it once.

"Oww, come on! One more time!" She said with mock disappointment tickling her a little bit. Not long after Jiao stepped out of his tent, despite his mask it was evident in his tone he had shed tears."I.. Well, I am back.. Is there anyway I can earn my keep?" He asked.

Era was laughing until he came out, she didn't know how he removed the door she made for his tent. "I think we got most of it set up."


"You can light the fire. I seem to be useless at it." Aquitaine said.

"Fire... Yeah, that is technically my field of expertise. "Jiao said gathering what he needed to make a campfire and setting it up. Once done he stood infront of the campfire and made it a punching motion towards it and what was meant to be a quick torrent of flame came of as a slight poof. "Excuse me... Long afternoon...."He excuse himself quickly slightly embarrassed by the lack of show. He then tried it again generating a proper flame to light the fire though no were near what the technique would have allowed.

Era and Aquita didn't really notice the lack of fire the first try. Era was still learning to bend and no one knew any skill Aquita had unless she was stirring the soup. Still, Aquita noticed he felt embarrassed and smiled softly. "You lost a lot of energy at earliers fight."

"Yeah, probably." He said simply before sitting by the new fire and sat in a meditate position and took deep breaths."A good rest is properly all i need..."


"Ah, hero firebender lost his flame? There is a joke there somewhere." Yao said jokingly sitting opposite earning a look from Jiao," Relax, just kidding around. Isnt your fire bending based on rage or something? I seem to have heard something like that about it."


"No..Well... It can be but fire-bending really is from Chi unlike requiring a source from the other bending influences."

 

[Mae Renea]

"I heard that some swamp tribes use the water in the plants to move them." Aquita thought that would be interesting to do. She would enjoy it, maybe. Era sat beside Yao. "It's also dark, the weakest time for fireBenders."

 

[ThatGuyWithSouvlaki]

"Possibly."He replied simply before looking at Aquita's mention of swamp tribes." Interesting, the are some firebenders who are able to generate Lightning. Its tricky, i haven't managed to do it yet myself without exploding in my face."

 

[Mae Renea]

"....Shocking." Era mumbled, "There is rumors about metal Benders that started off Earth Benders but I don't know if it really is true."

 

[ThatGuyWithSouvlaki]

"I have seen nothing like that in my travels and i knew a few earth benders in my travels." Jiao said reminiscently."And before you ask no, i wasnt fighting them. I lived with a few in the colonies."
