Era went and grabbed the map, she could do with a bath. "That sounds great." Aquita nodded, grabbing a bottle for them to wash with. "It's only a little ways that way."

"I will stick around her and have mine after you girls."He said not wanting to intrude on the girls washing. Just the thought of era bathing was making him feel.. Uncomfortable, let alone having to be with her. His face turned a little red.

Era nodded, she could understand. They still have to get out, a wall can't hide much. "We kind of have to do laundry too." That meant under garments... How... Uncomfortable. "We should do that when we have more time though."

Yao nodded and chuckled as the mentioned underwear. "I suppose at their state they would be more of a threat then the Fire nation."He joked as he began preparing their pack."We will get to it later on but please take as long as you like in the baths there is no rush."

Aquita started heading off and Era waved before she walked with Aquita. Era developed a wall, people passing couldn't see them as they stripped and went into the water. "I wish it was warmer."

Yao had almost prepared their packs, when he heard some noise in the trees around the camp site. He though nothing of it at first but movement caught the side of his eyes. Feeling uneasy he moved for his naginata, however he felt something zoom by his ear scrapped by his hand. Before he knew it he was surrounded by mounted raiders. "Crap..." He muttered simply before something struck the back of his head. The last thing he remembered was him tied up and placed on of the mounts.

It didn't take long for the bath to be over. She got dressed as did Aquita before they walked to the camp. "Yao where you at?" She asked picking up the bag thrown to the side. "Yao! This isn't funny."

The track of the mounts were evident through out the camp. Yao woke a sort time later, still being ridden on the back of a rhino and got a better look of the raiders that captured him. She could see any identity marks on them by their coloring war red. Fire nation raiders, he wondered before seeing other prisoners with him on other mounts.

Yao and Aquita got on the animals following the tracks, Era was cursing herself but Aquita kept calm and tried calming her.

"Heads up his awake."The raider behind the raider Yao was riding with called out.


"What... Where are you taking me..." Yao asked still feeling the effects of the blow to the back of his head. He tried to to take a look around and assess his situation. There was six of them with around two prisoners each and his spear was two raiders away not that there was a way to get it otherwise.


"You should be honored, your are now being conscripted to the glorious workforce of the fire nation. Taking your place in the new order of the land under fire lord Azulon. "


Up high in the trees, a masked figure watched the parade of raiders, plotting his next move.

"This is taking too long, we'll never catch up." Era mumbled.


"Era, do you want to be captured? We have to stay back. Lets face it, we're still learning our bending and you don't know how to even hold your blade. We have to plan it." Aquita told her, and though Elias didn't want to she agreed. She knew she was right.


"Who took him any way?"


"One guess."

Jaio formulated a plan moving from tree to tree till he was some distance from the head of the pack and slid down the tree. With razor thin flame he cut through the tree trying to cut and let it drop on to the road and went on to prepare to attack when they stopped.

Era and Aquita stopped, hearing a sound of what they assumed where trees falling. With that they hurried, knowing they weren't too far. After a good running distance they stopped, they didn't want the fire nation to hear them. "Aquita, take the animals to the clearing, quietly." Aquita nodded as they both got off the animals. Once Aquita got back to Era, Era made a stone box that would protect the animals while they headed for the trees.

Yao heard the tree crash a little a head of him, stopping the raiders stop in their track. The raisers seemed panicked trying to figure out what the tree falling meant and a voice began barking orders. Jiao moved toward the back to the last raider of the line as they began to move apart trying to find ways around the tree. He jumped on to the raider and used his sai on him.

The girls got above, "Do you see that?" Era said.


"I do!" Aquita exclaimed, both girls jumped out of the trees. Era hitting Firebenders left and right as Aquita cut the chains with the water. "Are you okay Yao?" She asked, moving the others as Era kept the soldiers away from her.

Jiao was surprised at the sudden help but he mind went to the remaining Firebenders attack him. He let out a blast of flame at the group knocking a few back while fighting one of the with a sigh. "Traitor scum." One of them told him." Maybe to you, i pity your narrow sightedness. "Jiao said simply kicking the raider back."


Yao nodded."I am fine... Thanks, lets get the others free." He said rushing for his weapon tried to save the others.


"Hey knew, people lets not outstay our welcome." Jiao called out to them.

Era hit a fire bender away as she grabbed the people. "Run!" She yelled to them. Aquita took a deep breath, leading the way back to the animals.

"Lets go people, move into the forest!" Yao called out and followed the group. Jiao continued the fight a little longer buying them time until the prisoners were gone before following in at the rear. The firebenders try to follow but the thick enough not to allow their mounts through and were soon lost. " Ok people take five." Yao said before turning to Jiao. "Thanks... I guess.."


"Help save your life and it and Its an i guess? That is some graduate but your welcome." Jiao replied kindly taking a breather.

Era let down the wall for the animals before turning to them. "Yao, don't have a sore ego." She joked, hugging him before looking at Jaio. "We heard about you, it was hard to believe. I'm sorry but thank you for helping my friend." Aquita walked up after tying the animals. "I am Era, this is Yao and Aquita."


Aquita smiled shaking his hand. "Pleasure. Thank you."

Yao gave her an indignant look but that soften away when she hugged him.


"A pleasure also. My name Jaio."Jaio replied bowing his head respectfully at the group. "Your surprise is understandable, my good ladies, my people dont have the best reputation recently. That is what i am working to improve little by little. Excuse the mask, i mean no disrespect by wearing it but an unfortunate... Training accident means that i am not... Presentable ."

Era finally let go of Yao, she gave him a smile before turning to the masked man. "Your very... Proper. You're from a Noble background like they said." She then thought of something. "By chance did you kill a mayor?"


"Era!"


"Let me explain, there was a man we caught trying to hurt our people. We told the army but when they questioned him he was dead and the place burnt. An Earth bender can't pick up a scent."


"I don't see how that's better."


"I just want to know. If its him than I won't mind them thinking otherwise but if not.. I'd like to know who had us accused."

Yao placed a hand on Era shoulder." The man helped us."He said not wanting to cause a scene despite his own curiosity. "I think his earned a moment not to be accused of anything. That can come a little latter.."


"No, its fine i will answer." Jiao stepped in before sighing." Yes, i did i did kill him. not long after you two saw him. In fact i watched you two enter. As to why, the same reason you turned him in, he was a traitor for nothing more than money. No ideology or illusion quick end to the war for his county. Just money. "

"I meant no disrespect, I assumed it was for a good reason," Era said looking from Jaio to Yao. She slipped her hand in Yao's. Sense Jaio saved her friend she wouldn't mind them thinking they did it. All they needed was proof they didn't. "Thank you, I can be more calm knowing now."

Yao turned and smiled at her when she took his hand and held her hand back. He turned his had back to Jiao when he spoke." I understand and apologize for the inconvenience caused."Jiao said bowing his head apologetically,"If there is anything i can do to make up for it, i will confess in due time though not before i am done with the war."


"Right... I will believe that when i see it."Yao said doubtful."But anyways what will you do now."


"There is an new fire nation offensive soon. the mean to drive to get to bi sing see. Need to find a way to slow it down."
