Jacob

Jacob came out from behind the rock pulling a piece of shrapnel from his arm. "Bastard, that grenade was a bad idea." He saw just as Ellie saw the so called marine reaching for his side arm, so he placed his rebar club onto his hand. "Have fun with that mr gung ho, im gonna go find what other toys you have laying around." He walked through the gates, and over to the nearest weapon box. He opened it up and found several M16A4s placed inside. "This should do quite well" He said to himself.

Mark was infurated with his inability to fight the situation. He needed allies but these people didn't hold values for america. They held values of scavenging wild coyotes and rabid cats. They hold their own by numbers not skill. Mark thought through a plan to escape but was stopped by the concrete rebar hammer placed next to him. He wasn't passing through, it so he had to come to his senses of needing allies. These people may not be military but he sure needed people. "Alright alright. You, civ scavenging through my sqaudrons stuff...help me outa this...i need allies more than i need enemies" Mark didn't want to regret helping these people but he needed them more than they needed him.

Ellie
"Allies? You think we want to be friends?" The woman only continued to further crush his hand into the dirt below. "I don't think think so buddy. We're a merry little trio on our own, we don't need any help, obviously." She laughed, and rather viciously before turning to Jacob with her stone cold face.
"Find anything good? Tell me," She asked him as well as Royce, sneering down at the marine below her. "What should we do with this pair of rats? Personally I don't think this marine is of any use other than stealing his shit, but that fucker who's unconscious? He's a rat and every rat has a nest. Think he has a nice one too. What do you say we tie him up and find out where this little nest is, raise some hell?"

Mark shook his head in disapointment. "You know this just doesn't house some old guns and a couple humvees. Its a air base and in one of them hangars there is a old chopper...broken but fixable. And to be allies is asking alot, im just saying i scatch your back you dont steal my life saving equipment and we go on our merry way, deal?" Mark needed all the stuff they wanted. The cars the guns the ammo all of it was needed in this deserted land. He would be glad to share it with them if they wouldve been nice enough to ask. "And with this rat of a man..i would love to help you find his..."nest." Supposed military or not iI was gonna kill him after he told me where his nest was anyway."

Jacob

"Definitely sounds like an honorable marine thing to do, and as for any vehicles around this place its a good thing im a damn nice mechanic." Jacob said. "Sounds like a good plan to me, but I say we bring both of them with us. Joker here leads us to his people, and Mr marine here could soak up any bullets that come out way with that armor he has"

"Honor has been washed out long before this retched war. Did you DC stopped funding its troops to fight 3 years before the bombs dropped? Three fuckin years man. They left us out here to die. And on the cars there is two that are operational. One with a near empty gas tank but a working MG or the one with alot of room and a full gas tank...no MG." Mark was always disppointed in DC and its decisions for troops but he left it alone for now. "As for fixin em they have some rusty parts an need greasin but thats about it. And by the way, can you get THIS SCUM BAG OFF ME!" Mark was not in a very happy position with a treasonous person on him. Even if he did try to help him he was not very honorable himself.

Muffin had stopped when she heard the gunshots, although the bear was not deterred on her mission to return to the bridge. It was coming into sight, as the animal loped heavily to it. Raising up to her fill height, and giving a raspy roar to announce her presence. The grizzly sat down beside of Roger, and deposited a lick on his face.

Riley
After the sun had been up for some time Riley pushed herself up from her desk, going off to check on Walker. The metal frame creaked as she sat on the edge of the bed. Reaching over to rub his shoulder tenderly she tried to wake him up as nicely as she could. “Hey, you sleep okay? Sun’s out now.”
“You don’t have a headache do you?” She asked, an eyebrow raised. She wasn’t sure how well he did with alcohol and hangovers, but she had painkillers to offer him just in case.

Walker

Walker was barely awake when Riley walked over and sat on the bed. "Mornin' Riley" he said sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "Nah I don't have a headache or nothing, it takes a lot more than splittin a bottle of bourbon to put me under the weather." He stood up and stretched his back. "Anything else go bump in the night?" He asked.

Riley
“That’s good, I’m glad.” She smiled up at him. She reached her hand out, hoping he’d take it in his. “We should do that again sometime. It was nice.”
“I haven’t been able to relax like that in a while.” She admitted, thinking back to their little date. “It was really good to be able to kick back and crack some jokes with someone. Thank you, Walker.”

Walker

Walker took Riley's hand as she reached out. "Yea it was fun, we can definitely do it again sometime.. As long as I get to bring the drink" He said with a grin thinking of his moonshine stache. He let go of Riley's hand and gathered his gear. "Well I reckon I had better be getting back to my camp. I should be able to come back out in a couple days"

Riley
“Wait-“ She jumped up off the bed as he went to leave, standing in front of him. She reached up to tug on the collar of his shirt so he would lean down, standing on her tip toes. As he leaned down she pressed a kiss to his lips, taking the liberty to slip in a bit of tongue.
“Some good luck for the road.” Was all Riley said with a sweet smile.

Walker

"Good luck indeed" Walker replied with a laugh. He walked out of the camp and started making his way back to his own. On the way he encountered a few more sand hornets but easily pacified then with his shotgun. When he finally arrived to his own camp, he went to his quarters, unpacked his stuff, quickly ate something and went to find Roux. "Hey I just got back from the other camp" he said when he finally found her.

Roux
Roux had fallen asleep in the armchair she had been cleaning her gun in, sunglasses still on her face. “Hm? How’d it go?” She said, yawning as she stretched her arms out. “What information did you find out for me? Anything useful?”

Walker

Walker walked over and took a seat. "Honestly that place is a cluster fuck, no walls or gates to keep people out. People just randomly show up and come if. Fuck some dude with a god damn bear showed up. Our little plan for their leader worked, she ended up wanting to split a bottle of bourbon last night. Wanted me to come out and do it again." Walker paused to take a sip of moonshine. He held it out to Roux offering her some "Figured I'd take some of this shit out there and show her what real alcohol is. Once I finish up my projects here I got another mission I wanna run"

Roux
“Well then you should like this.” Roux took a sip of the moonshine, passing the jar back to him. “Cross and I did some talking. I’m going to put you in charge over there. You want to build defenses, defenses get built. You want supplies sent over, supplies get sent over.”
Roux stood up, popped her back before starting to put her rifle back together. “You still report to me, that doesn’t change. So long as you get me produce and antivenom to sell from them your word we’re golden. Course I wanna talk to this doctor myself at some point.”

Walker

"Sounds good to me, and I think you'll like what I bring back from this mission I'm planning. Not too far from here is an old military base. Area 51 they called it, top secret research and shit. Im gonna go there and see what I can scavenge up. Doctor wanted to tag along and try to collect some scientifical shit. I figured why not, she can look for stuff to make the antivenom, and I can look for the fun shit. Probably even being back a vehicle or two." Walker said as he got up. "Im gonna go rest up another minute and then im gonna start back to work on the walls. Should be able to get them all done by tonight if nothing outside fucks with me."

Roux
"Well, good luck with that little trip then. I'll watch your ass while you work, Cross is going to bring the doctor over for a visit and some negotiations." Roux said, continuing work on assembling the rifle. "I'm going to head up to the roof, find a good little nesting spot to watch from." Once the rifle was back together Roux was out the door, grabbing only her bag and a canteen on water. She decided to leave the leather jacket behind, not wanting to blister in the heat and instead taking her place on the roof wearing a dirty old tanktop and some ripped jeans. Cross already knew the plan, probably already about to leave, so Roux sat there watching through her scope for him or Walker, or some stranger to wander up and get shot.

Ellie
"Oh shut uuuup!" Ellie groaned, getting rather annoyed with this. "Can we just tie him up and put a gag on him already? He's already spat out any information that would have been useful." Her patience was thin to begin with, and less so after the grenade. At this point Ellie just wanted to get what was useful and leave the fool to the vultures. It certainly would be the easiest outcome to deal with, and less cleanup too.
"Let's just take some shit and move on."

Mark was near giving up on trying to make allies. He wanted to kill them. The dogs of people around him but he couldnt. He couldnt afford it. "God damn it, why. Why are you so fuckin mean woman. Ive only shot at you because you're on my property, and i know damn well you would do the same. As for anything you know i know you arent able to hand heavy firearms let alone a aerial vehicle." Mark wanted to the base if possible...alive of course. And on his idea of ellie...it wasnt to great.

Mark shuffled his unconscious friend to the dirt and off him. He still tried to get the hammer off but turns out...its hard with one hand and being sore.

Lu slowly inched his eyes open, it was dark. Blinking a few times; he slowly adjusted to the lack of light and moaned slightly as he turned over onto his back. Taking a few resting breaths, he slowly tilted his head from side to side; noting that he was in a square, empty room with almost no light.

"Huh... I guess they captured me?" He pondered for a moment before a familiar voice spoke out behind him.

"Not quite, Father.." A young lady approached Lu from the shadows, she looked to be in her early twenties and was at a similar height to Lu at 5'11. The lady walked over and stood over Lu, he smiled at her once the woman's bright green eyes met his.

"Anna.." Lu met his daughter in his dreams over ten years ago, and in his dreams is where she has always remained. Watching over him and acting as a guide of sorts, Anna is the combination of Lu's desire to have a child and a trustworthy partner that he can speak about anything to because that's plenty he cannot bear letting his husband know. If he did, Lu fears he would be outcasted from the society that he hates so much but relies on so heavily.

Anna reached down with one hand to help Lu up and with the other she pulled part of her dark blonde hair over her ear as it was getting in the way. Grunting as he got to his feet, Lu noticed the room had suddenly changed to a Caribbean bungalow's living room. Looking to his left, they both glanced out of a glass wall, staring out onto a beachline with a deep blue sea at it's edge.

"Considering that you're here with me Anna, I would give a guess that i'm still alive... somehow?" Lu held out his hands and looked down at them as he turned them over. The lack of any cuts, scabs or sand sticking between his fingers assured himself that he certainly wasn't deluded or hallucinating. Anna stepped forwards and reached for Lu's hands with hers. As she held onto them, Lu felt her warmth and looked up into her eyes as she replied to his question.

"Somehow, yes. Although I too can imagine that those bandits have plans for you? I doubt they're looking to have you perform surgery on a poodle.." Anna grinned and Lu did too, he was glad to see her; even if their time together was always too short for his liking. From the moment he lay his head upon a pillow, Lu was always hoping to see his dream-trapped daughter; conjured deep within his distorted mind.

As she spoke, the room began to change once more. Lu jutted his head around as he suddenly found himself back in Ireland; on the same road in Ulster where he nearly died. Turning his head back forwards, Lu stepped back as Anna had suddenly vanished although her warmth was still there. Looking back down at his hands, he was startled for a moment as they were soaked in blood and shook them but the blood stuck like red paint. As he started to panic, Lu twisted to look behind him as he heard something close-by.

"Anna?.." He blinked as Anna had re-appeared in front of him, this time wearing a uniform and her face was bloody. Lu's mouth laid open as he peered down and saw Anna had a gunshot wound in her chest and was bleeding heavily from it. A sudden chill ran down his back as his daughter smiled, her face had turned a pale white colour and her eyes were no longer so vibrant.

"Father, I know that you believe yourself to be a villain. How each life you have taken means so little to you. How even after everything; you would still obey the Council's orders without question.. even if it meant ending the lives of those closest to you?" Lu found himself unable to reply as he froze in place; staring at her with absolute fear in his heart. Anna stepped forwards and placed a hand upon Lu's face; the hand was no longer warmth and comforting but now he felt nothing, not even the touch of her hand.

"You are no longer human Father, just as you wanted; wasn't it?" Anna turned her head to one side slightly as she smiled with her eyes closed. Lu was still frozen in place, unable to speak but still taking in everything she said to him. Anna leant in a kissed him on the forehead before stepping back. As she did so, a faint sliver of blood ran down from her mouth and she turned away for a moment. She looked back into Lu's eyes one last time before crumpling to the floor and succumbed to her injuries.

Closing his eyes and looking away, his anger released itself in his soul and Lu let out a cry of utter pain and frustration. How he had been tearing himself apart by trying to be two people at once; A cold bloodied murder and a humane man, wanting to be a good father one day.

"Anna?!"

Shouting at the top his lungs, Lu finally awoke from his dream; he wanted to move but his body was shattered and frail as he was still bleeding out. Opening his eyes and painfully rolling over to one-side, he looked around and noted he was surrounded by the goons that had attacked him moments ago. Slowly, he reached in his satchel bag and retrieved a prewrapped elastic bandage and huffed himself as he attempted to close off the wound as he knew he didn't have long left before he would've died from blood-loss.

Cross
Wyatt slung the day pack over his shoulder, with some water for the road and for trade. Seemed like good conduct to bring a piece offering. Waving to Roux through the scope and to Walker through his welding mask, he made his way to the camp from the gate. Walking lightly, or as lightly as he could, to avoid the Hornets. While he made his way along he wondered when, or how this situation with this Riley and Walker would come to a helpful head or a painful fall, only a matter of time one of them is bound to happen. He pulled out the radio and called into Riley, "Hey this is Cross, and I'm coming in, have some water for you guys." He got much closer to the bridge but didnt invite himself in.

Roger had given Mufin a pat, and walked inside to work on a project of his own. The bear sniffed around, and explored around for a bit. Huffing as she discovered the area around the bridge. Muffin suddenly looked up. Was that a human. A human she didn't know. She walked a bit and sure enough she saw it. Going onto her hind legs the bear narrowed her eyes. Roaring, but not actually approaching the man.

Riley
"Got it, I'll meet you there." Riley confirmed back into the radio, making her way out front to meet Cross. "Easy dear, he's a friend." Riley assured the bear as it eyed Cross over. She didn't know if the bear could understand her, but she hoped so. Regardless, Riley and Cross both gave the bear a wide berth while it decided whether it was okay with the man or not.
"Thanks for bringing some water over, we've been sorely needing it. Do you want to come sit down? What can I do for you?" She didn't expect he'd come all the way out here just to bring water, that could've been sent over with Walker the night before. Though, whatever it was the water certainly made Riley more eager to lend an ear and at least hear the man out. As she took a sip from a bottle Cross had brought over she waited patiently for him to respond.

Cross
"No problem, there's more where that came from when Walker finishes with his mad scientist scheme of rainwater collection. I'm here because my boss, Roux Lavesque, asked me to bring you to our base to discuss supplies, trade, protection, development and sales of antivenom, if you can manage to make it, and so on. Mainly because I can't claim to hold rights to trade with ya'll as this stuff isn't mine to trade." Cross took a swig out of his own bottle, wiped his mouth and continued. "Let's just say this goes well and we are able to coexist and help each other, I can see both of lasting a long time."

Royce
Extending his sidearm, he shot the Marine. Dealing with the post-apocalyptic version of a homeless vet was getting tiring, and a massive waste of time. "Lets pick up what we can, and get that armor off of him. Lets make sure this one can't buy his farm before he leads us back." Royce walked over to his Humvee to find he was about as in a bad way as it looked. Figures. Walking to the man nursing a shattered kneecap, he bent down, dumping the contents of the marine's canteen on his head. "Now, where did you come from."
