Roma spoke to Luka, "Thank you madam. I will make sure Locke keeps it safe until returning it back to you. Right Locke!"


The raccoon scowled at her ungrateful boy. Locke's face lifted in fright, causing the cup coaster to pop off his head with a loud *Clang*. He put Luka's bronze pin securely in his pocket, praying that he would not loose it. Roma smiled in delight as she offered the lady some chicken.

Thea looked over at the group and told Luka, "It's all on me. The innkeeper owes me." Sana nods. "She helped him catch a thief with a ghost persona...that was difficult." She sat with the group and Sana sneaked a piece of chicken for herself. She looked over at Luka, "I'm Cynthia, Thea for short. We should introduce ourselves to each other." Sana nods with approvement.

"Yes!" screamed Locke in joyous bliss. "There is a God!"


Taking out the bronze pin Luka @Miracle Corgi gave him, he flicked it in the air with his thumb. Realizing how beautiful it was, the boy hooked it on his scraf under his face.


"This thing is actually quite nice," he said.

Rei sat on the Inn's roof. She could hear Thea and her group talking together and could even pick up most of their conversation.


"why not go inside? you did choose to join them... despite knowing you'd have to fight..." Kori left the sentence unfinished as Rei would know what he meant.


"i joined... i never said the group would be my friend... and i already know." Her voice gave off a cold tone. But Rei curled into Kori's warm fur. She didn't want to be reminded... but fighting that person was unavoidable.


"Rei..." Kori laid his head onto Rei's back. After Rei fell asleep, he needed to find Thea like he'd said earlier.

"Yes!" Cereth couldn't keep it in. "The food is free! Liafort, it's free!!"


"I heard the girl, and don't mind me, I'm getting straight into it!" Her companion had just as jolly of a tone.


"Liafort, no!! You're a bird!!" Cereth shouted. "That's just... wrong!"


"It's a dog-eat-dog world out there." And he continued.


"I... don't know what to think of that."


She turned to Thea while taking some chicken and putting it on a plate for herself.


"So, Thea, I assume you've already got a plan for us?"


Though a plan for what- I don't know. However, if we are to face those people at the Severed Tops again, we wouldn't be able to blindly charge in against them, that's for sure. Or at least... I wouldn't be able to. Some of the people around me are incredibly strong!

"It was a gift given to me when I left Summerfields." Luka responded, smiling. "I'm surprised it looks so nice still, it's been a couple years and some of my other pins look awful now!" She laughed.

"Thank you for the food!" She began, and then paused, "but if you haven't memorized my name yet it's Luka, my full name is Luka Vandevelde." She nodded her head, and then quickly fixed herself a plate of chicken. She took her first bite slowly, trying to keep her posture and manners, but after two more slow bites she broke and began to eat quickly, but still savoring the food. "I forgot how crazy good meat tasted!" She laughed, having finished her plate quickly. She was about to slump back and hold her stomach until she heard Cereth's question. She hung her head down for a second, she had completely forgotten the bizarre way she met these people. Her hands idly ran over the wooden table as she listened in to the conversations around her. Whatever this was, she was caught up in it now.

Locke blushed from embarrassment and grumbled , "Roma shut up!"


The boy covered his face with the scarf and hoodie while huddling in his seat to hide his modification.

Thea shook her head at Cereth with a sigh."I'll figure out something tonight. Forget sleep." She gave a smile to Cereth before remembering something,"Oh! I have to do something. Of course, Florence was as magnificent at night as during the day with the millions of lights of the buildings. She looked around for Rei's persona, and waited.

Bear and Snow looked up at the boys and started saying food over and over again. Caleb gave them a piece of chicken each before looking at Luka, "My full name is Private Caleb Michael Andreas. I hate my middle name."


"Please," Conor said, "My full name is Sergeant Conor Geoffrey Nero. Geoffrey. It's, like, the worst middle name,"


"Well it's good we agree that middle names are terrible."

Kori made sure rei was asleep before slipping away. leaping off the Inn's roof, he saw Thea waiting below already. "i have to admit. i didn't think you'd meet me out here." He said, landing gracefully in front of Thea. "anyways, you must have some questions as to why Rei is... different." It was a statement rather than a question. "i'll answer those questions... hopefully. where to start..?" Kori muttered, pacing a bit before sitting beside Thea. "i guess i'll start from where Rei started to change. however, first know this... Rei's brother, Gyo stands with the troops." Kori said and awaited for that to sink in. He didn't want Thea getting lost on what he was gonna tell Thea.

"I'm here, no illusion," Thea jokes as she crossed her arms. She was shocked when the persona told her that her brother was with the troops. She would never thought he'd be open to an insane idea the troops had. "That's...unexpected. Are you sure he did?" Though she sounded calmer and laid by on the outside, Thea didn't want to believe it. Her first crush (heh) was on the enemy's side. With that in mind, she braces for what else to come.

"that being said, i don't what Gyo is up to. but both you and i should know that guy isn't a pushover. he's been keeping an eye on Rei from a distance. i've often seen him... but he always disappears before i can ask him what he's doing." Kori refused to believe Gyo was truly one of the troops."but moving that said for the moment, Rei truly thinks her brother is a troop. and with the rumors paired with what they actually do. Rei hates her brother, but doesn't at the same time. She's gotten it into her head that her brother abandoned her. Rei has put herself in a shell to block out the world." Kori's head suddenly lifted. "... speak of the devil..."

(sneakily intros Gyo. also, secretly having him turn traitor to the troops. let the drama start!)

"talking about me?" Gyo asked, walking out of the shadows of the alleyway beside the Inn. He wore his usual smiling expression that he used to hide things. That one thing was still the same always. "Thea! haven't seen you in forever." Gyo weirdly kept his right rim hidden in the shadows, not in a threatening way. But in a way that suggested he was trying to hide something he didn't want Thea or Kori seeing.


"Kori, Thea..." Ori said, greeting her old friends.

Luka laughed loudly, and then put a hand to her mouth to muffle it. "You shouldn't be so bashful, Locke!" She said, stifling giggles. "Although your reaction makes it tons more endearing!" She remarked, her eyes still squinted as she giggled. Luka took a breath, regaining compsure, and she looked back towards Locke and giggled again. She rested her chin on her palm now, admiring everyone at the table. "I haven't been doing a lot of laughing these last couple days. I forgot how fun a large group of people can be!"

I wasn't given a middle name, though." She saw a waitress come out and bring the drinks Thea had ordered to the table and place them down, "I didn't pin anyone in the group to be a drinker, though." Luka remarked as the waitress left. "But I guess we all are getting to know each other, now."

When the drinks came around, Cereth lit up. She almost forgot about the bad mood she was in earlier.


"You may not know this, but Cereth's a heavy drinker!" Her persona laughed.


"I'm actually not... I just enjoy a good drink as much as the next guy..."


"I wouldn't be surprised if you got drunk and then started stripping."


"I-I..!! Liafort is just joking. I would never." Cereth went a little red, but tried her best to hide it. Was he really?


Nonetheless. Cereth grabbed a drink.


"Speaking of middle names, I don't think I have one either. Or at least I don't remember mine."


Such a fitting atmosphere to get to know my team!


"I hope you won't be joining us though with the drinks, Locke." She laughed.

"Gyo... Ori, what are you two doing here?" Kori regretted being aggressive towards his old friends. But as long as he didn't know Gyo's motives. He wasn't gonna take the chance that he might hurt Thea. Plus he'd seen Thea's eyes... Kori knew she still held some feelings for Gyo.

Gyo laughed, "i would tell you. but i didn't learn that much." Gyo stepped fully into the open, revealing his arm. Which looked like it was mauled by a wild animal. It wasn't broken thankfully, just covered deep and shallow cuts. "unfortunately, i was foolish." Gyo's smile stayed in place. He was never one to show his real thoughts or feelings to anyone other than Rei... or Thea. "sorry, for worrying you... Thea, kori and i heard what you said about Rei. Seems she really must hate me now." Gyo fell over, only to be caught by Ori. Gyo fainted.


"Gyo wanted to beat the Troops from the inside." Ori took over explaining the rest of her master's story. "he wanted to do it that way... because he didn't want the two people he held dear to him, being hurt." Ori glanced at Thea, then continued. "as you can see, they found out Gyo's real motives."

The boy's persona had noticed what Locke was about to do and immediately threw a chicken leg at his face. The juice dripped from Locke's nose into the cup, splattering the table with the alcohol. Looking at the Raccoon in annoyance, the boy rubbed his dirty face with the scarf and gave his persona a sour look. Roma gave her boy a harsh glare herself as she took the drink from the seventeen year old's hands. She guzzled the drink down and smiled triumphantly.


"Technically your the same age as me!" Locke said in vexation.


"Not in raccoon years," Roma said correcting him. "Have some more root beer."

She said, her persona now sitting on her shoulder. She leaned forward, grabbing a drink herself. "I guess we'll only know who the drinkers are tomorrow morning," she teased as she took a sip. She furrowed her brow, finding it more bitter than she anticipated. "It always looks better than how it tastes, though." She mumbled, still frowning from the first sip.

"I wonder what Thea is up to." But Cereth changed the subject.

He ate quietly, listening to the instruction of what to do. He couldnt help but think of Lois as he ate. Dammit. By the time were over there were gonna see Lois. She and I are powerful and we absolutely hate each other. What's gonna happen if we're focusing on each other? I honestly dont want to know. As he thought Yvon looked concerned. He tries to appreciate the food otherwise.

Conor took two beers, one for him and one for Caleb, and put them down in front of them, "Let's get wasted," They 'cheers'ed and drank the alcohol. Thea suddenly ran in and dragged Cereth outside.


"What was all that about," Snow said


"I don't know," Conor said, "But I don't really care. I haven't had a beer in 4 months. Let me enjoy this," He downed his drink before taking Caleb's from his hand.


"Hey!" He said with a frown on his face. Conor downed that beer as well before slamming the glass back down on the table, not hard enough for it to break of course. "Take it easy Sergeant."
