Realistic or Modern We'll Get Through This Together

"Er...." Issac said, making an awkward face. He had decided to YOLO it. "Cassie?" He said, attempting to sound confident, looking into her eyes. "I'm a fanboy too." He said, nervously grinning. Well, I've ####ed that up. Hold on, while I proceed to throw myself out the window, because I have probably just broken our friendship. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Eternal pain and torment because of my terrible decisions I am certainly regretting! Issac's face had gone red. "Heheh...."

Seeing as everyone else seemed to be going to go to sleep soon, Aspen decided that it was a pretty good idea. It was getting kind of late after all, and it had been a crazy day. Just as he slipped out of the room to change and brush his teeth, he heard Issac's abrupt confession. Holy shhhh... Seems like Cassie has quite the swarm of admirers. He wasn't overly surprised, she was a really nice girl, even though he wasn't a part of the swarm, he could still see why they liked her. I wonder how she'll take it though...

Cassie's eyes widened and she kept the book in front of her face as she tried to compose her now racing heart. She didn't know what to call what she was feeling. Shock, surprise, nervous, flattered, scared, stressed, and happy all in one. For a second she could hardly think. Then she slowly got her thoughts together and then realized she was involved in what was now basically a love triangle. Panic ate at her as she realized they might make her choice one. And if she choose one she'd hurt the other. And if she choose neither they'd both resent her. At this moment Cassie really understood why Aspen had bolted for now she felt like doing the same thing. How could two guys like me!? And how did this happen on the same day!? She took a deep breath and lowered the book down slowly and didn't make eye contact with Issac. This had seemed exciting at first... Now it scared her to death again. She still felt that small flattered feeling she had felt before, but now it was mostly panic cause she didn't know what to do at all, and didn't want one or both of them to now hate her because her reactions. Cassie managed a nervous laugh and a weak, "Oh..."

"Yeah......." Issac said, his smile fading. "I'm sorry..." he sighed, "I probably shouldn't have said that. You already have alot on your plate, and I'll just go now........" He said, getting up. He grabbed the Maze Runner, and left the room, heading into the corridors that led to his hiding place. Well, I've definitely ####ed that one up. Great job me, for screwing up the only friendship you've ever had or probably ever will have. He thought to himself while walking. Hopefully I can just go to sleep, and she'll forget all this happened? Oh, who am I kidding, I've put her right in the middle of some ludicrous love triangle that she clearly doesn't want to be in.

When Aspen reentered the room, he found Issac missing, but he wasn't surprised. Issac must have found some hiding spot somewhere, he didn't seem the type to wander the streets alone at night. He grabbed a sleeping bag and started for his corner. But he decided that he felt like being alone for a bit so he changed direction to another room, where he could sit and think for awhile. He'd probably end up pacing anyway, it was kind of a nervous habit he'd accuired recently. As he passed Cassie he whispered softly, "Don't worry about it too much. We'll figure things out it the morning. And we're always here for you."

In another room, Aspen set up his bed in another corner, with a good view of the door. For awhile he just sat and considered Cassie's latest predicament. But his thought grew more worried, and he couldn't sit still. Around the room in circles and sometimes figure eights he paced, full of nervous energy. Could their group survive with all this tension? The idea of them splitting up was awful to think about. He tried to push it from his mind, but it was there, lurking in the shadows.

Cassie was in no way mad at Issac, and she knew that's what he thought, and because of that he fled. She was mad at herself if anybody. She didn't know how to do this, this was all new to her. She didn't want him to go away but couldn't find her voice anymore and buried her face in her knees. This has been one hell of a day... When Aspen passed by she lifted her head up slightly, "Thanks..." She replied with her voice cracking. Cassie no longer in the mood to think about anything, buried her face in her pillow and snuggled in the blankets, trying to shut her mind up. She forced her eyes shut and waited for a much needed sleep to come.

(Do you guys think we should skip ahead some time? Maybe to the morning, or does anyone have a desired time to skip to, just not too far?)

Issac curled up in the corner of his hiding place, and attempted to fall asleep, hoping everything would be better tommorow. (TOO LAZY TO PUT ANYTHING ELSE. SKIP THE TIME.)

--Morning--

Cassie woke up in the morning and last night's events replayed in her head and she began to feel nervous again, so she hid her face in her pillow. Oh gosh... What do I do!? I'm going to have to talk to them today. I'm glad Tommy doesn't know what went down last night... But Issac... Ugh! He probably won't talk to me anymore... At least he still is willing to read my book. That's promising I guess...

Issac woke up the next morning, fully remembering everything that happened last night. He groaned, and rolled over, looking out the broken window. Well, might as well get this over with. Besides, this is all my fault anyways. He reasoned with himself, grabbing Maze runner, and standing up, leaving the room and heading back down the halls to the "Main Room". He entered the room, looking around. His eyes found Cassie, and he sat down next to her, and opened up Maze Runner, starting to read. "I'm really sorry for what I said last night. It was uncalled for." He said, a somber look on his face. (Should we wait for Compton to get back so we could include him?)

Xavier walked slowly through the apartment building, using the fire escapes and balconies so he could avoid running into anyone. It was still pretty early, but there still might be one or two people up already. Finding their little area, Xavier swung smoothly down from a fire escape and into one of the windows in the main room. Everyone seems to be asleep, he thought to himself, then paused when he heard someone talking. Scanning the room quickly again, Xavier saw that Cassidy and Issac were up. Well shoot. They hadn't noticed him yet, or if they did they didn't show it, and as quietly as he could Xavier tip tied out of the room. His stomach was reminding him he hadn't eaten for several hours, and his brain was agreeing that food was a good idea.

Adam, starting to feel a bit more distant, decided to leave for a walk. God knew when he'd be coming back. He just needed some time alone.

Tommy rolled around a bit before bolting up stifling a small cry. He was sweating, he wiped his face quickly and got up fighting to get out of his bag, he made quite a bit of noise, but he seemed to not care as he stumbled out of the room and to the rest room.

"Stupid dreams, why can't you just stop,"

He looked at the mirror, shaking, gripping the sides of the sink. He wiped tears from his eyes before washing his face.

Running. That's all they could do. The woman held tightly onto Nicolette's tiny four year old hand. The man held onto the woman's twenty-six year old hand. Looking back briefly, she could see the blurred face of a man following them. He had dirty blonde hair. His piercing hazel eyes were filled with determination. He started getting closer and closer. Reaching behind him, he pulled out a 9mm pistol and aimed it at the her and the two other people near her, her mother and father. Two shots. That's all it took. Her mother's grip loosened on her hand and she heard two distinct thuds then a scream.

Nicolette shot up with a scream. She was breathing heavily and sweating. After running her hands over her face, she threw the covers off of her and sighed to herself as she got up. She made her way to one of the bathrooms to shower. Once she got out, she put on a pair of cutoff shorts and an oversized sweatshirt she had found on their escape. Thankfully they fit her. She ran her fingers through her hair and put it up before going back to her bed. Sitting down Indian style, she stuffed her hands in her lap and thought about her dream.

Thomas walked out after composing himself. Instead of going to the main room he went into the kitchen and went through to try and find some food. He ended up just getting water and sat on the counter

Aspen awoke to the sound of a scream. Groggily, he rubbed his eyes and squinted at the room until it came into focus. What the heck? Am I just imagining things? But he decided it was safest to investigate. So he headed into the main room. Nothing seemed too out of the ordinary, other than the way Nicolette was sitting, he noticed. But since there didn't seem to be any immediate danger, he left to change and everything first. He put on a pair of well-worn jeans, and a plain black tshirt that he'd managed to bring with him. Heading to a bathroom, he slashed some water on his face to wake himself up better, before returning to the main room.

Xavier saw everyone was waking up and sighed. By the looks of it just about everyone hadn't had the easiest night. Taking his jacket off and dropping it in the pile of his stuff, Xavier clipped the walkie talkie to his jean pocket while making his way to the kitchen. Tommy was already in there, sitting on a counter and drinking some water. He looked tiered, but then again just about everyone did. "Hey. Rough morning?" He asked halfheartedly, smiling a little before pulling a box of pancake mix from a cabinet. Digging through another cabinet of things that had been in the apartment already, Xavier found a decent sized pan and put it on the stove. A large bowl was set next to the pancake box, but after reading it Xavier scowled slightly and held the box up to Tommy. "Hey, um, would you measure all the mix and water for me?"

He looked at Xavier, " I had a bad dream." He stood a grabbed the box and read it and looked at the mixer. "What the f*** is a quart?" He looked at Xavier for a moment. Then tried mixing it. "I dunno man... Uh this might be right?" He frowned a little

Nicolette stood up silently and went to find something to eat. She stuffed her shaking hands in her pockets and started to look around in silence.

(Hey guys I just wanted you all to know that @Alecshie or the controller of Kira has left the rp, after notifying me. She said she really liked the rp and it was a lot of fun, she just can't keep up with it right now, because of her school and everything. But she really liked the rp and said it had been wonderful participating. I just thought you all should know)

Cassie was startled by the others waking up, and knew they must have had bad dreams and she bit her lip. She glanced at Issac and looked a little relieved, glad he still talked to her. "Don't worry about it okay? I'm sorry for how I reacted, this stuff is all new to me, and..." She took a deep breath and lowered her voice, "Well it's a little overwhelming learning two guys in your group likes you on the same day." She smiled softly at him, "But I'm not mad or anything, and we're still.. Friends, right?

Tommy looked over as Nikki came to look for food. "Hey you, how are you feeling? Xavier and I trying to make pancakes, keyword is try." He smiled a little to her, then turned back to the pancake mix .

Nicolette jumped slightly and looked over at the two. "I'm fine. Just a bad dream," she said before looking at the mix. Smiling slightly, she walked over and nudged them both out the way before taking over. She grabbed some bacon and put it on before turning her attention back to the pancakes. "You two relax. I'll take care of the food," she said softly, but with a wide smile.

Xavier looked over the box with Tommy. "How the Hell should I know? It's an English measurement of volume I think," he said the last part more to himself, looking at the pancake batter suspiciously. Honestly, he wouldn't be surprised if it grew eyes and started singing musicals. He brightened when Nicolette came in and took over, smiling and laughing nervously. "Haha. Thanks," he said happily, taking a step back from the counter to give her space to cook. "I can help if you need it."

Nicolette looked at Xavier briefly. "If you helped, it would end up growing facial features, arms, and legs and go on to marry Rosie O'donnell," she said, laughing slightly as she flipped the pancakes. She checked on the bacon, flipping it and smiled as she waited.

Tommy stepped back as well, "uh oh, looks like we found her passion!" He grinned and looked at the two of them. "You had a bad dream too, huh? I still dream about the crash from time to time."

"It's still at least twice a week that I dream about my parents' shooting. But I honestly think it's getting worse, more vivid," Nico admitted with an obvious sadness in her slightly shaky voice.
