Kaliko Amalu

After three days it was done. Stepping back to look at the masterpiece before him, the 5'7" eighteen-year-old examined the hard work he had done over the past three days to build this hut in seclusion on the edge of the island town. This island, Vahlia was one he hadn't heard of and thus it was the perfect place for the fugitive to hide. Backed up against the jungle, the teen had used all natural resources to build the beach bungalow, setting it upon fourteen stilts. A porch extended out from the front and and he had made a thatched roof over it. It was one large room and a wall where the bed would go, beneath the skylight he had managed to put into the roof. A glass door and two large windows were allowed sunlight to stream through into the living space, curtains currently drawn over the windows to ward off prying eyes. This was his fourth day on the island and now he had either build or buy furniture...money that he didn't have so building it was. He'd have to get a job of some sort to get food which could be substituted with fishing in the sea and collecting other sea food.

David leaned back in his chair and put his hands behind his head. That, he thought, was a long conference call. He looked at his watch...two and a half hours. Well, at least we made some ground. A new hospital in L.A. was about to accept the company's proposal, all that needed to happen was for the CFO to sign. He put on his corduroy suit coat and headed to McDonald's. He didn't feel like cooking this evening. "Ranchero salad it is," he said to himself as he backed out of the driveway.

Katherine saw he left as she just pout as she walked to the beach as she sighed looking around seeing a house she loved going to the beach but didn't know how to swim she was just making sandcastle as she giggled she just was scared to go back to school she was running out of food eventually she had to steal food she was thinking about it @eclipsehowls

Kaliko walked around his home, examining the last minute details to make sure nothing was out of place but naturally everything was sound and sturdy thanks to his hard work, the new adult proving that by tapping a hand on the planks of the left side wall to check for hollowness or rotten wood. His hand didn't go through, nothing fell off, so he made his way the rest of the way around his home back to the front. He'd be sleeping on the floor for a few nights at least until he mad made a bed frame. Thinking on that, he didn't realize someone had approached his home while he had been checking it over, frowning as he saw a child standing before his home. "Who are you?" Kaliko questioned sharply. This child could tell the police his description and where he lived. He'd be in jail longer than his minimum sentence of 25 years. Well, he was probably looking at another year or two because he had run to avoid going to jail in the first place.

Katherine just looked up at the person who was taking to her" I'm just Katherine" she say as she smiled" you have a nice house sorry I was just looking" she told him. She looked around as she saw some parents with their kids as she sighed she looked back at the guy" who may you be kind sir" she say" I come here all the time since they left" she say.

Kaliko frowned at the child for that was all this girl was. "Didn't your parents teach you it isn't wise to approach strangers?" he questioned, keeping away from the girl with other adults about. He scanned the area while she was talking, taking in notes of the parents with children nervously. He didn't see any police but they could be off duty or worse undercover. He had to keep a low profile, keep who he truly was a secret, and avoid the cops at the same time. "Go back to your parents child and learn not to speak to adults outside of your family," Kaliko said.

Katherine just looked at him" I don't have no one to go back to I'm an orphan my parents died they left me here for their business trip" she say as she looked at him she just sighed as she just sit in the send" that's why I come to beach maybe they come back if I wait" she say

That hadn't answered his question but now he had the unfortunate knowledge of the girl's parents being dead. "Kid, if you're parents are dead then they aren't coming back. You should be with another guardian and if not then CPS should be notified to your circumstances so they can put you with a foster family or in an orphanage if a family can't be found for you and you have no legal guardians. You aren't old enough to be on your own or taking care of yourself." Frowning as the girl had sat herself down in the sand like she belonged there before striding past her and making his way towards the town. It seemed like he needed to find a job for money as he had nothing on him except for three outfits, one outfit being the clothes on his back. Laughing children playing in the sand and swimming with their parents brought an ache of sorrow to his heart. Kaliko kept his gaze ahead of him, not looking at anyone as he passed.

Zoey dragged the suitcase behind her, sweating and cursing under her breath.

"Stupid island," she mumbled to herself as the case got stuck when she walked on the sand.

She rolled her eyes and raised her baggage, not stopping walking for even a second. She was bumping people and hitting them with the bag as she shoved herself through the crowd.

On his way to get a bite, David saw a young lady, about 20 years old, walking along struggling with some baggage. He pulled alongside a cabbie at a stoplight, got out and spoke to him. He pointed to the young lady and gave the cabbie the standard fare for transportation anywhere on the island. He also gave him a card that he had scribbled on the back. The written message read: "If you need a job, feel free to call my office. Your fare's paid for, anywhere you need to go on the island."

The cabbie nodded and pulled off when the light turned green and stopped by Zoey. He extended the card.

The front of the card read:

The girl hadn't said anything, so Kaliko continued to make his way past parents with their children. He didn't have a car but this was an island. Why would Kaliko possibly need a car on an island? He didn't plan on going into the city that he had heard of. Cities had police and he didn't want to end up in jail. He was wearing sneakers, yet despite this, his shoes didn't sink into the sand like he would have expected. He waited for a frisbee to go past him so that he wouldn't get hit by the flying toy.

[SIZE=24px MARIAH CHANELL[/SIZE]]Mariah, just turning eighteen moved to the house of her dreams in Vahlia. There was no greater day than this one. Mariah had finally unpacked and settled in the house looking at all her hard work. She sat back and took a couple sips of her Orange juice (SIDE NOTE MARIAH LOVES ORANGE JUICE, SORRY BACK TO WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT) Mariah had no idea what she was going to get into on her first day of moving in,, maybe job hunting? Or maybe relax in her pool?

"Hmm Pool or Job" Mariah said out loud as she fixed herself breakfast. "Okay Job first then pool" She clasped her hands together agreeing with herself on this decision. This was going to be a great day she keep thinking to herself.

[B Kassiah Reed[/B]]"Finally I'm here" Kassiah had finally reached her summer home in Vahlia and it was definitely worth the money, but money wasn't ever really an issue with Kassiah. She had her Summer Workers bring her stuff in. She quickly went and showered and changed into her swimsuit and packed her bag containing important 'Me Time' items. Kassiah had earned it. She was so happy that she got a whole two months to relax, except for a couple photo-shoots and autograph signings while she was there. Kassiah's fame has become widely spread and growing rapidly growing in a thousand followers a hour.

(<<--this guy is...well I'm not gonna say anything nice so I won't say it at all.)

David drove off from the light, headed to the McDonalds. He pulled into the parking lot and went inside. He ordered a ranchero grilled chicken salad with a Hi-C. When his order came, he sat down and prayed, then produced a bible.

Fae slumped down in her deckchair just outside her new little cottage that her parents had bought for her. They had finally decided to let her have some freedom and, even though Fae was excited for the things to come, the sudden change along with all the moving in had been difficult. She sighed, leaning back and closing her eyes for just a moment. But she had finally settled in - that was done, so she could now focus on other things like meeting new people and make some new friends. "Wherever they may be," she thought out loud, a subtle Eastern European accent in her voice. She opened her eyes, stood up and started walking down to the beach.

Zoey took the card from the man and frowned as her eyes scanned the letters.

“Why would you—?” She started but the man draw a circle in the air, showing her to turn the card. She did that and smiled reluctantly to herself. “Okay. That’s very kind.” She sighed and opened the car’s door. She threw the suitcase inside, not minding any damage it could have done, and sat next to it. “Take me to a hotel,” she said after a few seconds of wondering whether she should go to her brother’s house right away, or do it the next day, when she’s refreshed and rested well enough to make any reasonable decision about his case. “Any hotel, really.” She leaned her head on the back of her seat and closed her eyes, focusing on gentle sway of the cab as it was moving.

:x MARIAH CHANELL :x

After eating breakfast Mariah got on her laptop seeing a note; one she had wrote to herself

FIND A JOB! NO ONLINE SHOPPING TODAY!

Mariah Chuckled at her note and googled a few jobs in cafes or restaurant, unlike some people Mariah loved serving people, it'd been something she's done all her life. "Hmm A little cafe on the beach, sounds popular, popular restaurant means nice tips" Mariah again laughed to herself applying for the job. she felt so goof about the job that she didn't even bother to apply to anywhere else except a clothing store which sold bathing suits and lingerie. "Hmm You did good today Chanell" Mariah got up went to her new room scavenging through boxes and bags to find her clothes. "Here we are!" She found a pair of sweatpants and a training bra and a pair of sneakers and threw it all on, it was time for her mid-day run. She grabbed her phone and headphones closing the door behind her and she took off down the side walk which was descending as she ran down.

:P KASSIAH REED :P

Kassiah's stomach started growling, okay food first! Kassiah got in her car driving to whatever was close. She finally turned into a nearby McDonald's walking inside after grabbing her purse. She was happy it wasn't a long wait line, she walked up to the counter ordering a ten-piece nugget meal with a Vanilla shake and gives the cashier the money grabs her food and sits at the table across from a man reading his bible, she smiled at the sight. Pulled out her phone while she ate looking for when her next photo-shoot was. "Hmm Tomorrow at seven." She scrolled through pictures on INSTAGRAM and ate, taking a sip of her milkshake relaxing

@MariahChanell

David noticed the bold move by the young lady sitting across from him, but paid her little mind. He wished modesty was more common. After he finished his salad he got up and began walking to his car.

@saraswati

David wondered back to the young lady he had helped on the side of the road earlier. Would she call? He hoped so. He loved helping people. She seemed to have some dignity about her, some mdesty. That always attracted him, interested him.

Kassiah raised her eyebrow at him, wondering why as soon as she sat down he got up..she then grabbed her stuff and ran after him

"Excuse me! Hey, you, wait up!!" She yelled after him

He turned around and saw the young woman walking quickly towards him.

"Yes, ma'am?" he said, wondering what caused her to have such an interest in him.
