Katherine just saw a boy as she smiled" hi there" she say holding her skateboard" I'm Katherine who you may be?" She asked as she looked at him" do you want to go to the skatepark or to my house to play games I know you your Ben right you go to my school" she sah as she gave him a smile. "No I'm getting better I've been cleared to leave the hospital but I still have a limp" Boris sees her staring at his leg "if you want I'll roll up my shorts and you can see the scar?" @Tola

Iris thought it would be nice to go out into town for a while,"I've got nothing better to do." She thought to herself as she made her way out the door and took her bike down the street. Iris loved the island life and she was pretty glad that she's lived here all her life ever since her mother met her father here. Her father was a contract man who owned many businesses in the states when he thought it was time to settle down and he picked the island life, which is where he had met Iris's mother who was a school teacher at the high school. She taught english literature to the students. Iris pedaled down the hill until she was near the beach.

Clifton balanced easily on the surfboard, years of practice making the action effortless. He never got a better high than when he was surfing, or just in the water. His brother was still on the beach, watching him. Clifton kept going until he wiped out, laughing until he choked on water. He pulled himself back into the board, paddling expertly toward the shore and walking toward Ethan, who clapped him on the back. "Nice one, you're getting better out there." He noted, eyes flickering over the beach.


"Looking for a girl to warm your bed tonight?" Clif teased, making Ethan chuckle.


"Not quite. Why don't we throw a party? We're still new in town, we have a nice house. Let's celebrate it." He offered.

Elena snapped out of her deep thoughts when she caught sight of people surfing. Oh, she had to learn sometime! She made a mental note of it as she stood up, brushing the gritty sand off her legs. She regretted not wearing her bikini here. The water was just the right temperature for swimming. She couldn't even remember the last time she went swimming.


"Hey." She kindly said with an awkward wave to one of the women she previously seen surfing.


'At the least the people here seem half way decent.' She thought to herself. It was definitely a change from where she came from. She looked to the ice cream stand, but decided against going over there. The line of people kept growing and she wasn't the most patient human being out there. Instead, she continued to wonder along the beach. The water would rush forward onto her feet, and then retreat just as quickly whilst pulling sand from underneath her. It was the most relaxing thing- Until a crab pitched her little toe. Only, she was unaware of what it was and she let out a sharp scream and fell on her butt amidst the water.


So much for a smooth day.

Ethan and Clifton both turned sharply at the sound of a scream, and Ethan took off running toward the girl. He looked like one of the lifeguards you'd see on TV. Muscular, attractive, shirtless, soaked, and running toward the pretty girl.


He knelt beside her, concern obvious on his face. "Are you okay?" He asked, looking for a wound.

"I-I don't know!" She frantically muttered, reaching for her foot.


She pulled back a bright red crab, but she held back her scream this time. Instead she simply tossed it back in the water as a bright pink blush found its way up her neck and over her cheeks, traveling over the bridge of her nose. For the first time she took a moment to look at the stranger beside her. He wasn't just a stranger, he was a handsome stranger and she looked completely stupid. First impressions weren't really her thing anyway. She softly cleared her throat and offered an embarrassed smile.


"I'm so sorry." Elena murmured.

Ethan followed her gaze to her foot, smiling slightly when he saw the crab. "You'll be okay, just a little nip. Slap a bandaid on it, it'll be fine in a day or two." He said wisely. He and his brother spent every waking moment on the beach, they knew their way around.


"Don't worry about it. I'm Ethan." He said, grinning slightly and offering a hand so she could get to her feet.

Elena felt pretty relieved that he didn't just roll his eyes at her and dismiss her as dumb like she half expected him to. She gently place her hand in his and stood her feet. As she stood she felt the weight of her wet clothes and regretted once again not just wearing her bathing suit. She let her regrets fall away when she heard him introduce himself. 'Ethan.' She let his name linger on her mind. 'That's a nice name.'


"Elena. Thanks for the... Help?" The last word came out more of a question. "I'm sort of new to the whole beach thing, as if it wasn't obvious enough." She grinned, showing just a hint of her shy nature.

Ethan laughed, unfazed by her shy nature. Things like that hadn't ever bothered him. "We all have to start somewhere." He inspected her, trying to guess an age. A teenager, which had him worried. He was 24, he didn't want to flirt with a girl who was underage. "I didn't catch your name. Was that on purpose? If so, I can leave you alone, I didn't mean to intruded." He offered. He could hear footsteps behind him, and turned, half-expecting a boyfriend. He was less than pleased to see his brother. Most women went for him instead.


"Everything okay over here?" Clifton asked. The twins exchanged a glance.


"Uh, this is my twin brother, Clifton." He told the girl, sighing quietly.

She wondered if he was a little nervous too after listening to him. She fought off yet another blush when she watched his eyes look her over, wondering if maybe her wet clothes looked as bad as they felt. Her hands lightly tried to wring out the edges of her jean shorts, but she knew it was too far gone to do anything about it now.


"You're perfectly fine." She reassured Ethan. "My name is Elena Moore."


She shifted her eyes from Ethan to what he said was his twin. She could definitely see that he was, but there were subtle differences there as well. She offered him a wave and smile, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear.


"Hey. I'm just the girl that was screaming over a crab." She half laughed, a hint of pink still tinted her cheeks.


Elena really needed to work on her conversation starters.

Clifton smirked slightly. If he knew the girl better, he'd have made a dirty comment there, but he stopped himself.


"We're... Having a party back at our place tomorrow night. You interested?" He offered, smiling slightly. He was curious. "Wait, there will be drinking involved, you overage?" He confirmed.

As Iris was crossing the street with her bike when an out of control car almost hit her. She quickly moved back to let her bike take the hit but ended up falling on her butt. She watched as the car spun around with her bike underneath it before it hit a near by palm tree. Iris ran towards the smoking black car and she looked to see if there was anyone in there. She saw a women who was unconscious, she seemed to be in her late forties. Iris called out for help to anyone passing by before she began dialing for the ambulance. Iris went over to the drivers side to open the door but it was no use, the door was locked.


The phone rung twice before an operator picked up,"Hello. What's your emergency?" The women over the phone asked.


"Yes, there just had been a car accident near the Nauma beach." Iris said,"Also there is a women unconscious in the car." She added.


"Okay, help is on the way. Please remain where you are," the women on the phone said. Iris hung up and she turned to the women inside the car and thought that she should try and get the women out since the car began to overheat. She looked around frantically for something to break the window with.

Elena's face twisted into some kind of a wince, biting her lip. She knew once she told them her age that would be the end of it. She inwardly sighed and shifted from one foot to another. She wasn't a liar and she didn't plan to be one now.


"I'm nineteen." She reluctantly admitted.


"I totally understand if you're not comfortable with me being there. Either way, it was nice to meet you. Both of you."


A sad smile tugged on her lips as she held her bag a little tighter. She turned on her heels, taking a step in the direction from whence she came.

Clif turned to Ethan. "You were flirting with a teenager?" He laughed.


"Shut up." Ethan sighed, grabbing Elena's hand and stopping her. "We want you to come. And if you want, you can drink, it's not a big deal. Clifton's the last person to judge based on age. Right, brother?" He said pleasantly. Clif raised an eyebrow.


"If the cops bust us, you're going down, I'm jumping the fence." He said simply.


"We don't have a fence." Ethan replied patiently.

Elena felt quite surprised to feel a hand stop her. She found herself rolling her eyes at the teenager comment. Something about Clifton came off a little too cocky to her. He seemed like the typical jock type. The kind of person she has always made point to stay away from. A lighthearted laugh escaped her lips, whilst she shook her head.


"If you truly don't mind. I'd love to be there." She looked back to Ethan, hoping he wasn't anything like his brother.


Though she tried to tell herself that it was no big deal, she couldn't stop the excitement bubbling up within her. It would be the perfect thing for someone new to town. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard having a fresh start out here after all.

"Smooth." Clif noted.


"Go surf." Ethan sighed, pointing to the water. Clif nodded, smirking, loping into the water with his board tucked under his arm. "I'm sorry about him, he's... A special guy. I'm not, I promise, I'm very boring." He promised.
